Abstract

利用光纤作为传送信号的介质变得越来越普遍,现在建筑物内的设备通过光纤连接到墙上出口也是很普通的。光纤的墙上出口应该能够提供如上所述设备与例如建筑物线束内光纤之间的互连。它们还应该提供考虑到有时需要重新端接出口内光纤的设施。
本发明涉及一种为符合这些需要而设计的外壳。

模制构造限定的通路的曲率半径不小于预选的临界半径。通路可限定为光纤可围绕它们延伸几圈。
在第一外壳件上提供的构造所限定的通路使得可以改变光纤方向,但不必使光纤弯曲的半径小于临界弯曲半径。

参考附图,用作光纤墙出口的外壳包括第一和第二外壳部分(10)和(11)。外壳部分(10)用塑料模制并可借助穿过孔(12)的螺钉固定在墙上,例如建筑物内墙。外壳部分(10)模制为具有凹进部分(14),在凹进部分(14)内形成了许多模制构造(15)。凹进部分(14)的壁还包括一个或多个孔(16,16a)。构造(15)设计成限定通路,光纤可沿其限定的通路延伸,这些通路允许改变光纤方向,但不会使光纤的弯曲半径小于临界弯曲半径。例如,从线束穿过孔(16a)进入的光纤可沿附图标记(18)所示的通路通过。外壳部分还包括两个开尾环形构造(19),构造(19)作为用于固定光纤电缆的凯夫拉尔件的约束点。

在使用中,墙出口借助穿过孔(12)延伸的螺钉固定在墙上。一段长度的光纤电缆或一束光纤从墙后面的线束穿过例如孔(16a)并围绕通路(18)送进。然后这线光纤被送进盘形部分(25),这样它们围绕由构造(28)限定的外通路延伸。这些光纤可绕盘形部分几圈,每圈通过区域(31)。这实际上提供了一定程度的松驰或多余长度的光纤,在将来需要时足以允许重新端接。最后光纤进入接合区域(40)。如果使用了分开单元,则光纤首先进入分开单元,从那里出来进入内通道(30)并随后围绕内通道进入如(42)示出的接合单元。然后这些光纤的端部与另外一段光纤接合,接合单元(42)的每个通道(43)内有一个接头。然后额外的光纤长度进入通道(30),它们本身可穿过松驰区域(31)围绕盘形部分几圈并从出口部分(32)出来。这些段光纤在其端部具有固定在以(22)和(23)示出的出口内的适当的光纤接头件。这些接头件可接收来自建筑物内设备的光纤端部的配套接头件。
构造(15)和(28)都设计成限定曲率半径不小于光纤应弯曲的临界曲率半径的通路。本发明墙出口的一个特征是在外壳内提供松驰区域(31),该区域可容纳足够长度的光纤。其原因是如果将来需要重新端接和接合光纤,由于在外壳内为这种重新端接容纳了足够长度的光纤,所以就可以实现光纤的重新端接和接合。

Claims (8)

1.一种外壳,该外壳用于提供建筑物内线束或类似物中的光纤与一项或多项设备之间的连接,其中所述外壳包括可连接的第一和第二外壳件,所述第一外壳件可安装在建筑物内的墙上或类似物上以便接收来自所述线束的光纤,并具有为所述光纤限定一个通路的构造,所述第二外壳件具有限定一个通路的构造,该通路可接收来自所述第一外壳件的所述光纤并且光纤可沿该通路被引导到一个接合区域,所述外壳件还具有为光纤从所述接合区域延伸到一个或多个出口限定通路的其它构造。
