Abstract
A superior soft tissue product, such as facial tissue, bath tissue or paper towels and the like, can be made applying, on the surface(s) of the tissue, large numbers of individual deposits of a melted hydrophilic composition comprising a high molecular weight polyethylene glycol, a fatty alcohol (C14-C30) and lipophilic emollients or solvents, including water, and thereafter resolidifying the composition to form a distribution, preferably a uniform distribution, of solid deposits on the surface(s) of the tissue. Because the composition is a solid at room temperature and rapidly solidifies after deposition, it has less tendency to penetrate and migrate into the sheet. These solid deposits are characterized by a penetration hardness of from about 5 to about 360 millimeters.
Description
Background of invention
The Water adsorption towel product is used for absorb body fluids and make skin be in drying regime as face-cloth, bath towel etc. always.Yet except absorption fluids, the Water adsorption towel skin that also can rub in use often can not make the skin bone dry, and have the absorbent body fluid of Water adsorption towel or not.Frequency blow one's nose or the wiping anus around the time, often because friction makes red swelling of the skin, once touching bitterly. In order to reduce friction to skin, can on Water adsorption towel, be coated with the Water adsorption towel additive formulations, provide lubricity by this additive formulations during use, Water adsorption towel is slided along skin surface; Perhaps this additive formulations leaves napkin and is deposited on the skin.Up to now, these preparations all are liquid, perhaps are fat base semisolid or fat base solid (hydrophobic material) material under the room temperature. These liquid or fat base semisolid type preparation need to add in Water adsorption towel a large amount of, give it and alleviate the stimulation of skin and the effect of hyperemia, because these preparations all are absorbed in the Water adsorption towel, only stay on the surface this effect seldom is provided.Fat base solid preparation can heat the surface that (adding to higher slightly than preparation fusing point) is coated on Water adsorption towel or towel; said preparation is solidified again on the Water adsorption towel surface; at this moment preparation is easy to transfer on the skin of user, and protecting skin not irritated with hyperemia or avoid further with very low cost stimulates and hyperemia.Yet,, be difficult to add hydrophilic or water miscible surfactant, beauty treatment material or active component sometimes because these preparations are lipophilic.
Therefore, need a kind of hydrophilicly basically and can be coated on preparation on the Water adsorption towel, and they still transfer on the skin of user easily, can be with very low cost protection skin irriate and congested or avoid further stimulating and congested not.
Brief summary of the invention
Have now found that by making senior soft Water adsorption towel product at the individual deposit of a large amount of fusion hydrophilic compositions of the surface coated of napkin, described compositions comprises high-molecular weight Polyethylene Glycol, aliphatic alcohol (C
14~C
30) and emollient or comprise the solvent of water, said composition is solidified again, form solid deposits in the lip-deep a kind of distribution of Water adsorption towel, preferably distribution uniformly.Because said composition is a solid under the room temperature, the deposition back is rapid solidifies, and infiltration is just seldom arranged and immerse the interior tendency of lamella.Compare with the Water adsorption towel of handling with liquid preparation, this Water adsorption towel stays the interpolation compositions of bigger percentage ratio in its surface, and said composition can and be transferred on the skin with the contact skin of user like this, with the benefit that provides the front to say.Have again, can provide same effect with less addition, because said composition is distributed on the surface of product basically effectively with low cost.
Therefore, on the one hand, the invention reside in and contain about 30~90wt% hydrophilic solvent, about 10~approximately its molecular weight of 50wt% about 720 or higher high molecular weight polyethylene glycol, about 5~approximately C of 40wt%
14~C
30The softening compositio of aliphatic alcohol, the fusing point of described compositions are about 30~about 70 ℃, and it is about 5~approximately 360mm that pin is gone into hardness.
On the other hand, the invention reside in a kind of Water adsorption towel product, wherein the one or both sides of product external surfaces are solidified with a kind of deposit of compositions, said composition contains about 30~approximately 90wt% hydrophilic solvents, about 10~approximately 50wt% high molecular (be defined as at room temperature is solid) Polyethylene Glycol and about 5~approximately aliphatic alcohol of 40wt%, the fusing point of described compositions is about 30~about 70 ℃, and it is that about pin is gone into 5~approximately 360mm that pin is gone into hardness.
Another aspect, the invention reside in a kind of method of making soft Water adsorption towel or towel products, this method comprises: the compositions that (a) will contain hydrophilic solvent, high molecular weight polyethylene glycol and aliphatic alcohol is heated to above the temperature of said composition fusing point, make the said composition fusion, the fusing point of described compositions is about 30~about 70 ℃; (b) fused compositions is coated on the one or both sides on Water adsorption towel stock surface equably with the deposit form of separating of having living space; And (c) deposit of this melt composition is solidified again.Again the curing of this deposit can almost take place immediately, if the temperature of said composition heating is only high slightly or just be heated to the fusing point of compositions than the fusing point of compositions, does not then need the chiller of outside, such as the chilling roller.Yet, if wish to quicken solidification process again, can be before the coating melt or use later on outside chiller, as the chilling roller.Solidifying again immediately like this tended to hinder in the said composition infiltration napkin, and it is retained on the surface of napkin, and this is favourable. Can preferably be higher than about 10 ℃ or still less of fusing point such as, the temperature of fused compositions, particularly be higher than about 5 ℃ or still less, be higher than about 2 ℃ or still less more especially.General temperature when melt composition is during near fusing point, and the viscosity of melt composition will increase, and this has further strengthened melt composition and has been trapped in surperficial tendency.
