Abstract

Description
本发明涉及一种阀密封,更具体来说涉及用于形成所述阀与设置所述阀的容器的颈部之间密封接口的颈部密封。本发明的密封还可用作阀中接合填料。确实,本发明适用于任何有待与诸如能够提取出含于所述密封中的化合物的推进剂之类流体接触的密封。因而本发明适用于将一些药品以喷雾器形式包装的领域,其中所述药品不得被推进剂从阀密封中提取出的污染性组分所污染。
密封特别是阀的颈部密封,必须满足一些要求。首先,它必须对含于容器中的推进剂以及所要分配的流体提供良好的密封。其次,它必须对来自大气并穿透容器的水蒸气提供良好的密封。为防止活性组分附聚和/或水解,推进剂中水蒸气含量必须尽可能地小,具体来说对于如含或不含乙醇的HFA(氟代烷烃)之类推进剂,水蒸气含量应保持在低于300ppm的数值。最后,泵密封不得泄漏过多的其所含的称为“可提取物”的化合物。这类可提取物是由推进剂从密封中提取出的、污染所要分配的流体产物的化合物。可提取物被区分为两类:第一种是有毒化合物如亚硝胺、多核芳族化合物、以及单体。这些有毒化合物的数量一般较少:亚硝胺(ppb),多核芳族化合物(ppm),单体(ppb)。因而,它们数量稀少。但还有以较高浓度存在的主要化合物。这类主要产物包括抗氧化剂、乳化剂、低聚物和有时是塑化剂。低聚物由低分子量化合物构成,特别可见于热塑性高弹体TPE中。
本发明的目的是克服现有技术的缺点,设计出具有极好密封特性、其制造、切割及分配容易且经济、仅泄漏极少量污染物如低聚物或塑化剂的密封。本发明提供一种有待与如推进剂或推进剂/溶剂类型溶液的化合物接触的阀密封,所述密封由丁基橡胶与聚乙烯的混合物制备,所述混合物的比值范围为约2∶3至约3∶2,即,所述混合物的范围可为约40%丁基橡胶和60%聚乙烯至约60%丁基橡胶和40%聚乙烯。
聚乙烯可对推进剂如HFA的提取形成良好屏障,并具有低摩擦系数,这使得所述密封更易于切割和分配。
再有,由丁基橡胶-聚乙烯混合物形成的密封对水蒸气和推进剂均具有极好的密封性能。在上述比值范围内,所有上述要求均可以最佳方式得到满足。
在第一种有利的变化方案中,丁基橡胶与聚乙烯以比值42.5∶57.5混合。
在第二种有利的变化方案中,丁基橡胶与聚乙烯以比值1∶1混合。
在第三种有利的变化方案中,丁基橡胶与聚乙烯以比值57.5∶42.5混合。
有利地,丁基橡胶与聚乙烯的混合物具有低密度。
特别是,所述密封可用作形成所述阀或泵与设置所述阀或泵的容器的颈部之间密封接口的颈部密封。
有利地,所述密封可用于分配用于治疗哮喘的药物气溶胶的装置中。
现在,通过叙述制备本发明密封的方法来更详细地叙述本发明。
首先,使用可形成密封的韧性材料制备条带。丁基橡胶与聚乙烯混合物,优选属于热塑性弹性体(TPE)的低密度材料用作本发明的材料。为简化起见,以下实施例参照TPE。所述TPE条带通过挤压机挤出获得,所述挤压机将熔融TPE挤出呈细长缝形态的模具。在出口处,未精加工的条带在压延辊间滚压使之达到所需的厚度。
聚乙烯可对含于所述密封中的污染化合物的提取形成良好屏障。再有,它具有低摩擦系数,如聚乙烯的浓度不低于约40%,这种低的摩擦系数有助于切割所述条带并分送切割过的密封。
这种密封可用作形成所述阀与设置所述阀的容器的颈部之间密封接口的颈部密封。还可使用所制备的密封作为阀中接合填料。
作为实施例,在以气体HFA-134a作为推进剂操作的计量阀的颈部密封的应用中测试了本发明密封的性能。这些密封厚度为1至1.5mm,进行了若干次测量。然后在室温和40℃下测量泄漏速率,并经外推法计算以mg/年给出的数值。再有,在一个月内分两次测量水分的进入量,即在推进剂中来自大气的水蒸气的数量,以ppm计。结果示于下表中,该表中还有作为对比实施例的在相似条件下测试的其它公知密封材料即丁腈橡胶、氯丁二烯、EPDM和聚丙烯混合物以及丁基橡胶和聚丙烯混合物的性能。

以上结果表明,本发明的丁基橡胶与聚乙烯的混合物在泄漏速率和水分进入量两方面都优于丁腈橡胶,且它们在泄漏速率方面优于氯丁二烯和EPDM-聚丙烯及丁基橡胶-聚丙烯混合物。
本发明的材料因而性能最佳,同时其制造容易且经济。
在本发明的丁基橡胶及聚乙烯混合物的全部浓度范围内该结果保持相对恒定。比例为57.5%丁基橡胶和42.5%聚乙烯的混合物具有最佳的泄漏速率结果,而比例为42.5%丁基橡胶和57.5%聚乙烯的混合物具有最佳的水分进入量结果。虽然未示于表中,但当浓度超出本发明范围时其性能下降。
当丁基橡胶-聚乙烯混合物比值超出约2∶3至3∶2时,这些性能降低并伴有制备难度及费用的增加,证明所要求保护的范围可提供其密封性能和制备费用方面均达到最优化的密封材料。
Claims (8)
1.一种有待与诸如推进剂或推进剂/溶剂类型溶液之类流体接触的阀密封,其特征在于所述密封由丁基橡胶和聚乙烯混合物制备,所述混合物的比例范围为约2∶3至约3∶2。
2.权利要求1的密封,其中以比值42.5∶57.5制备丁基橡胶与聚乙烯的混合物。
3.权利要求1的密封,其中以比值1∶1制备丁基橡胶与聚乙烯的混合物。
4.权利要求1的密封,其中以比值57.5∶42.5制备丁基橡胶与聚乙烯的混合物。
5.前述任一项权利要求的密封,其中丁基橡胶与聚乙烯的混合物优选是低密度的。
6.前述任一项权利要求的密封,用作形成所述阀或泵与设置所述阀或泵的容器的颈部之间密封接口的颈部密封。
7.权利要求6的密封,用作以HFA-134a、HFA-227类型推进剂气体或以混有溶剂如乙醇的HFA类型气体操作的计量阀中的颈部密封。
8.前述任一项权利要求的密封,用于分配用于治疗哮喘的药物气溶胶的装置。
