Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明涉及一种内燃机,更具体地说,涉及一种外罩,用于覆盖小型内燃机,如用于割草机、清雪机、发电机等中的型内燃机。
背景技术
内燃机用来将化学能转换成机械或电能,广泛用于各种场合。某些内燃机是小型的,并且有一个或两个小汽缸,用于低或中等功率的应用场合,而其他的有更多数量的大汽缸,用于大功率应用场合。任何类型或尺寸的发动机都由于燃烧过程产生大量的热。大发动机,如汽车中的发动机,通常封闭在一个隔立的区域,如在发动机罩下和在汽车防火墙前。同样,其使用者或路人通常碰不到大发动机。但是,小型发动机一般用于如割草机等装置中,其中的发动机是敞开地可接近的。因此,小型内燃发动机在发动机上经常有保护或防护物,以减少碰到灼热的发动机并被烫着的危险。
在某些情况下,如在割草机,发动机通常用由塑料或其它某些不导电材料制造的壳体部分或完全地覆盖。发动机有数个也可能辐射热的子组件或系统。例如,典型地,单独的壳体覆盖空气过滤系统和冷却系统。另外,将空气引导到发动机冷却系统和空气入口的挡板通常连接于壳体。这些壳体和挡板每个都需要紧固装置,这增加了零件的数量以及制造和组件的复杂性。这些壳体一般必须使用工具拆卸和再安装。而且,子组件的壳体经常嵌套在主壳体或其它壳体之下,以致必须拆掉多重壳体才可接近一单个子组件。多重壳体和笨重的紧固系统使发动机及其子组件的维修困难。

发明内容
本发明提供一种改进的用于内燃机的壳体,其具有整体结构的罩。拆下罩就能够进入需要维修的发动机多个系统。罩用弹性带固定于发动支机架或安装架,不用工具就能容易地安装和拆卸罩。
具体地说,罩有顶侧和向下伸展的侧壁,其大小覆盖保持发动机的固定支架。至少一个侧壁形成向外开口的凹槽,该凹槽从底边伸展到锁扣(catch)。带子安装在凹槽中,凹槽有连接于发动机支架的固定端,和与罩的锁扣可拆卸地啮合的自由端。锁扣与带子自由端的啮合将罩固定于发动机支架。
带子优选为橡胶材料,并且自由端包括与锁扣啮合的接片(tab)。接片有突出端,用于抓紧带子以与带子啮合和从罩上松开带子。带子是可拉伸的并且其尺寸制造成使其在与锁扣啮合时处于张力状态下,从而使罩偏向发动机支架。在一实施方案中,罩包括多个凹槽,每个保持一条可拉伸的带子,用于将罩固定到发动机支架。此外,发动机支架具有侧壁,该侧壁形成向内开口的纵向槽,可拉伸的带子部分地放置在其中。

本发明的另一目的及优点是提供一种不用工具能够安装和拆卸的罩。这是通过使用与罩内锁扣啮合的可拉伸的悬垂带子,使罩偏向发动机支架来实现。
本发明的另一目的及优点是提供一种为发动机提供增强气流的壳体。这是通过以基本非紊流状态引导空气到发动机冷却系统来实现的。罩顶的凸起开口用作文氏管开口,为发动机提供高速层流气流。
本发明的另一目的及优点是提供一种有助于固定可移动的空气滤清器的壳体。这通过垂直壁从罩顶整体悬垂,以限制空气滤清器的移动来实现。
本发明进一步的优点是罩用玻璃填充聚丙烯制造,使其经久耐用,并且有助于热传导。

优选实施例的详细说明
本发明的壳体在全部图中用标号10表示。参照图1,壳体10一般包括发动机支架12,该支架形成一个用于容纳小型内燃机的空腔,如现有技术中所知。罩14通过数条带子16被连接于支架12。框架18咬合在罩14上,以保持防护网罩20。
参照图1和图3,支架12优选用玻璃填充尼龙模制,包括底框架19,和直立的侧壁22和端壁24。各侧壁22有两对隆起26,从其内表面突起形成槽28。每个槽的上方是一个缺口30位于支架侧壁22的顶边。罩14用玻璃填充聚丙烯模制,包括在顶侧的挡板34,其有侧壁36和端壁38,端壁沿挡板34的周围向下伸展,其按尺寸制造成以与支架22和壁24重叠,并且密封发动机(未示出)。罩的侧壁36被形成包括两个平行的纵向凹槽40,每个从侧壁36的底边42延伸到凹下的锁扣44。凹槽40在罩14组装到架12时放置成对准支架的槽28。
参照图2和图3,罩的挡板34包括有翼的开口(阴影所示)46,为散热器进料颈(未示出)和发动机空气软管(未示出)提供间隙。挡板34也形成一个光滑凸起的开口48,有环状截面。凸起开口48有从罩14的外到内逐渐减小的圆周。该凸起开口48提供现有技术已知的文氏管效果,提供平滑的基本没有紊流流动通过罩14。这使空气在其进入离心式风扇(未示出)进口时是较高速度的层流,因此增加了到发动机的气流,并且增加了风扇的效率,正如本领域普通技术人员所理解的一样。光滑、波状的上升表面50围绕凸起开口48形成在罩14中,从而有助于引导空气从其通过。
参照图2和图3,防护网罩20,优选用聚合物涂层的钢丝网制造,被固定在有翼的开口46和凸起开口48之上,以防止碎屑进入壳体10和发动机进口。如上所述,防护网罩20用框架18固定在位。框架18优选用玻璃填充的聚丙烯材料制造,并且通过四个整体地形成在罩14的夹子52(图2中虚线所示)咬合在罩14上。夹子52能被压下,以便从罩14拆掉框架18,并且由此拆掉防护网罩20。这样使得防护网罩20能够被清洁、修理或更换,而不用工具。
参照图2、3和6,罩的突出端54包围一个可拆卸的空气滤清器56,空气滤清器用空气滤清器紧固件58固定到支架12,该紧固件的底端经接片64和槽66连接于空气进口肘状物62。参照图6,在空气滤清器56的紧固件58顶端70的锁扣68,在空气滤清器56的顶部与凹槽72相啮合。通过拉起在空气滤清器紧固件58顶部的把手(grip)74,锁扣68可被松开。空气滤清器紧固件58优选硬塑料。另外,罩14被制造成包括下垂壁76,在罩14组装到支架12时位于空气滤清器56之上。壁76用作辅助夹子,用于限制空气滤清器56的移动。
再参照图3,带子16,优选为弹性材料,如橡胶,每个具有一个在固定端80和自由端82之间伸展的细长主体78。固定端80有一球形末端84,和一方形凸肩86,用于与支架12相啮合。自由端82有逐渐变细的通常横向伸展到主体78的接片88,用于在拉伸带子16夹紧,以组装或拆掉罩14。需要替换时,带子16可脱离支架12。
参照图4,带子16通过插入固定端80穿过侧壁22中凹的开口90连接于支架12,以使带子的凸肩86啮合支架侧壁22的底面92。然后,细长的主体78被安装在支架12的槽28内,并且向外弯曲通过缺口30,以使带子接片88在支架12的外面。
参照图4和图5,通过罩壁36和38与支架壁22和24的重叠,将罩14安装于支架12,以便罩的凹槽40对准支架12中的缺口30,该缺口保持带子16的自由端82。随着罩14的定位,各个带子16用接片82被一个一个地拉起和抽出,以便接片88啮合罩14上的锁扣44。当自由端82如图5所示啮合时,带子的主体78处于罩14的凹槽40内。在此位置,带子16的弹性使罩14向下紧靠着支架12。

Claims (14)
1.一种用于放置在由固定发动机支架形成的发动机空腔中的内燃机的壳体,包括:
一个罩,有顶侧和向下伸展的侧壁,其大小覆盖所述发动机支架,所述侧壁之一形成一凹槽,开口到所述罩外,并且从底边延伸到锁扣;和
安装在所述凹槽中的带子,其在张力下可在一个固定端和一个自由端之间拉伸,该固定端连接于所述发动机支架,该自由端可拆卸地啮合所述罩的锁扣,使得所述罩偏向所述发动机支架,并将所述罩固定于所述发动机支架上。
