Description

外科用扩孔钻

扩孔钻在外科中用于在准备接纳植入物的骨头上制备沟槽。扩孔钻通常有一个中空的切割头,此切割头是圆锥形的,更确切一些,是截头锥形的。该切割头常常固定在由至少一条螺旋缠绕的钢带形成的弹性或刚性钻杆的端部上。在骨壁上进行的切割工作具有形成混有海绵状物质的碎骨片的作用。当外科医师退出扩孔钻时,此种物质有引起填塞的趋势,此填塞现象通过在扩孔钻上作用一高的阻力矩使仍继续旋转的扩孔钻变慢。此阻力矩甚至能使扩孔钻的一部分断裂。在弹性钻杆的情况下,此阻力矩可很快使弹性钻杆变形。当外科医师通过沿与规定方向相反的方向转动扩孔钻而将其取出时,阻力会特别大。
为了易于取出扩孔钻,曾经建议在扩孔钻头后部的截头锥形部分上形成辅助切割齿。这种类型的扩孔钻在美国专利No.5,122,134中作了描述。此种扩孔钻的辅助切割齿沿主齿的螺旋线的延伸部分形成。这些辅助切割齿由于位于扩孔钻后部的齿的切割作用而允许轻松地退出扩孔钻。当退出扩孔钻时,辅助齿切割碎骨片。使海绵状物质和碎骨片能够沿在辅助齿之间形成的排屑槽通过,而不会产生堆积。
为了达到所要求的有利效果,扩孔钻在退出时必须沿规定方向旋转。不过,常常是外科医师通过沿与规定方向相反的方向转动扩孔钻而将其取出。
本发明的目的为给外科医师提供一种扩孔钻,无论转动方向如何,这种扩孔钻均可以这样一种方式方便地取出,即外科医师不必考虑扩孔钻的旋转方向。
在按照本发明的扩孔钻中,辅助齿的切割刃如此交替地朝左和朝右取向,从而能保证沿两个旋转方向都能切割。
齿数可以是偶数或不是偶数。

图1中所示的扩孔钻包括一个在刚性钻杆2的端部形成的切割头1,该钻杆本身焊接在用于与驱动机械相连的钻柄3上。切割头1有两个通过一圆柱形中心部分6相连的截头锥形端4和5。头部1具有四条完全通过其的螺旋形排屑槽7。前齿4的四个齿或主齿的齿如此形成,以便按右旋切割。后截头锥形部分5装有如此形成的齿,以致四个齿的迎角和后角交替地朝齿的一边和另一边,从而使此后部沿一个旋转方向和另一个旋转方向都能进行切割。在图中可以看出,齿8和10如此地形成,以致在向右旋转时切割,而相邻的齿9和11则如此地形成,以致在向左旋转时进行切割。这样,切割刃就例如分别位于齿8和9的侧面12和13,后角14和15也同样。
扩孔钻可以通过向右旋转、向左旋转或交替地向右/向左旋转而退出。
刚性钻杆2自然可以被最好由两条沿相反方向经螺旋形缠绕的钢带而形成的弹性钻杆代替。

Claims (1)

1.一种外科用扩孔钻,它包括一个可以被驱动而旋转的钻杆(2),此钻杆装有一个切割头(1),在该切割头的后部有允许扩孔钻易于退出的辅助切割齿(5),其特征为,辅助齿(5)的切割刃以这样一种方式交替地向左和向右取向,即能确保沿两个旋转方向进行切割。
