Additive of the present invention is made up of water-solubility rare-earth inorganic salt, dispersion agent, tensio-active agent, promotor, base oil, oxyhydroxide.
Nano size rare earth hydroxide lubricant oil additive by: water-solubility rare-earth inorganic salt 10~20, dispersion agent 10~30, tensio-active agent 0.3~5, promotor 10~30, base oil 40~60, oxyhydroxide 3~8 (weight percentage) are formed.
Inorganic salt of rare earth is rare earth chloride, rare earth nitrate or perchloric acid rare earth, and rare earth is one or more a mixture of lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, lutetium.

Lubricating oil additive preparation method of the present invention is:

Nano size rare earth hydroxide of the present invention is the very effective lubricating oil extreme pressure of a class, wear preventive additive.Its addition as lubricating oil additive is 0.1wt%~15wt%.

Example 3 is soluble in water with 2.35g perchloric acid gadolinium, again the two succimides of 3.5g polyisobutene, 0.1 petrolic magnesium sulfonate, 0.3g Si Ben-80,8g base oil are mixed with above-mentioned solution, add 15ml benzene, in stirred in water bath half an hour, slowly drip the 0.84g potassium hydroxide solution, stirred in water bath 5 hours.Add 50ml benzene so that filter.Filtrate decompression is steamed volatile matter such as removing toluene, water.
Example 4 reaction conditionss are with example 1, and the lanthanum in the Lanthanum trichloride is replaced with in cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, the lutetium one or more respectively, can obtain the relevant nanometer rare earth hydrate.
