本申请基于临时申请No.60/146,344,所述临时申请申请于1999年8月2日,题为:并排式无压接的电学连接器。
发明背景及简单说明
此发明是对Swenson的美国专利No.5,695,369和美国专利No.5,228,875中揭示的“快速多路电学连接器”上的改进。在上述的Swenson的专利里,固定了一个或多个连接腔,其中一个成形表面伸入到连接腔里并且一个螺纹表面与上述连接腔相关。一个共同作用的夹紧部件与上述连接腔相关并且每个夹紧部件有一个螺纹部分,它可以与连接腔的螺纹表面螺纹啮合并且它有一个互补的锥形表面,其可以与导体部件上锥形表面互补。绞合的导线通过了中空的夹紧部件并且展开在金属导体的圆锥或者锥形表面上。在容纳部件和夹紧部件之间的相对旋转致使螺纹减少了距离并且夹紧了外张电线的裸露端于圆锥表面之间。

本发明详细说明
参考图1,一个凹陷主体部件10有一个连接腔11,一内螺纹壁14包围连接腔11。凹陷主体部件10是模塑塑料并且有一与凹陷主体部件10共轴16的中央圆锥形的部件或突出件15。杆4确定内腔11里圆锥形部件的位置或隔开此圆锥形部件。一个凸出主体部件20有一外螺纹表面21和一手抓部分22,所述手抓部分22可以有如23(图3)一样的刻痕。凸出部件20有一穿孔25,所述穿孔有第一端26和第二端27。例如,如图2所示,穿孔端26是成形的、圆的,并且它可以如图3所示容纳两根或多根导线,如图3所示这些线头WE扭在一起。
穿孔端27有一个短直截面28和一个圆锥表面截面29,所述圆锥表面截面的形状与中心突出杆4的端15的锥形互补。
在操作中,两根或多根绝缘导线W1,W2...WN的线头被剥去绝缘皮并接着扭在一起(如WE所示)并且通过穿孔端26插入。锥形端15用作扩展表面。在插入绞线线头WE之前或之后,凹陷部件10的螺纹部分14可以与凸出部件20的外螺纹啮合。绞线线头进入或张开进入锥形表面15与锥形表面29之间的空间,并且由于所述螺纹部件被相对扭紧(利用拇指和食指),表面29和锥形表面15互相靠拢,从而夹紧两根或多根导线线头WE以维持紧密的电学接触并防止它们被拉开。一个锥形表面或两个锥形表面都可以有肋条使导线变形并且增强了拉力。
在图4所示的实施例里,凸出主体部件30有一个手抓部分31,所述手抓部分31表面有刻痕或者表面被弄粗糙(或者配有类似蝶形螺母的突出物)以防止手指滑动,参考图6,所述凸出主体部件30还有一个引导锥形或子弹形的突出部33的外螺纹部分32,所述突出部33用作展开表面并且其有一个圆形基底34。凹陷主体部件40有一个有刻痕的外表面和一个穿孔42。穿孔42有三部分:
一个螺纹内壁部分44,其可以与凸出部件30的螺纹部分32螺纹啮合;
锥形部分45,其与锥形或子弹形部件33互补并且用作确定它们之间的导线夹紧空间;和
椭圆形部分46,其用于容纳两根或多根导线W1,W2,所述导线有头端去皮的裸露线头WE,它们被扭在一起并且通过椭圆端46插入穿孔43里。
在使用中,可以在凸出部件的螺纹32与凹陷部件的螺纹44的螺纹啮合之前或之后将导线W1,W2及其扭在一起的线头WE插入到凹陷部件40。总之在锥形表面33与45之间形成了一个空间,锥形顶端33将伸入此空间里靠近另一边。凸出主体部件与凹陷主体部件之间的相对旋转导致在锥形表面33与45之间的线头强力夹紧。

Claims (7)

1.一种用于不需工具将两根或多根导线的线头连接在一起的导线连接器,所述导线连接器包含:
一个非导体的凹陷主体部件,所述凹陷主体部件有一个连接腔和包围所述连接腔的一个螺纹壁;
一个非导体的凸出主体部件,所述凸出主体部件有一外螺纹表面,所述外螺纹表面可以与所述凹陷主体部件上的所述螺纹壁螺纹啮合;
所述主体部件中的一个有一个穿孔,所述穿孔有第一和第二端,所述穿孔的第二端有一锥形壁,
其特征在于:
所述主体部件中的另一个有一整体形成的非导体锥形元件,所述锥形元件与所述主体部件中的所述另一个共中心轴;
其中所述第一穿孔端的大小可以并排地容纳所述两根或者多根电线,所述锥形壁与所述锥形元件的锥形互补,从而当螺纹啮合的表面相对旋转致使锥形部件与所述锥形壁互相靠近时,所述两根或多根电线的所述线头在所述锥形部件与所述锥形壁之间被夹在一起形成电学接触。
2.如权利要求1所述的导线连接器,其特征在于所述主体部件中的所述一个是所述凹陷主体部件并且所述主体部件中的所述另一个是所述凸出主体部件。
3.如权利要求1所述的导线连接器,其特征在于所述主体部件中的所述一个是所述凸出主体部件并且所述主体部件中的所述另一个是所述凹陷主体部件。
4.如权利要求1所述的导线连接器,其特征在于所述穿孔的所述第一端是椭圆形的。
5.一种用于不需工具将两根或多根绝缘导线的线头连接在一起的方法,其特征在于,所述方法包含:
提供一个凹陷主体部件,所述凹陷主体部件有一个连接腔和包围所述连接腔的一个螺纹壁,还提供一个凸出主体部件,所述凸出主体部件有外螺纹表面,所述外螺纹表面可以与所述凹陷主体部件上的所述螺纹壁螺纹啮合,一个所述主体部件有一锥形元件,另一个所述主体部件有一个穿孔,所述穿孔有第一和第二端,所述第一穿孔端的形状大小可以并排地容纳两根或者多根电线,所述穿孔的第二端有一锥形壁,所述锥形壁与所述锥形元件的锥形互补;
剥去导线线头的外皮并且将所述导线线头扭在一起;
将扭在一起的所述导线线头插入到所述穿孔的所述第一端;
扭紧螺纹啮合的第一和第二主体部件,从而当螺纹啮合的表面相对旋转致使锥形部件与所述锥形表面互相靠近时,所述两根或多根电线的所述线头在所述锥形部件与所述圆锥表面之间被夹在一起形成电学接触。
6.如权利要求5所述的方法,其特征在于,所述导线是相同线规尺寸的导线。
7.如权利要求5所述的方法,其特征在于,所述导线是绞合导线。
