The modified epoxy resin prepared by the invention has the advantages of both epoxy resin and polyester resin, and the prepared paint film has good adhesive force, high flexibility, excellent corrosion resistance, high hardness and good shock resistance, has excellent resin and paint storage stability, and can meet various performance requirements of priming paint for coiled materials.

S4, preparing polyester modified epoxy resin, namely mixing polyester prepolymer with additional epoxy resin according to a certain proportion, adding a proper amount of catalyst, curing agent and diluent, and carrying out heating and stirring reaction to enable the epoxy resin and the polyester prepolymer to carry out epoxy ring-opening reaction to generate polyester modified epoxy resin;
S5, designing a primer formula, namely designing a primer formula according to the characteristic requirement and the application requirement of the coiled material primer, and adding auxiliary materials into the polyester modified epoxy resin according to the formula;
s6, removing impurities and diluting, cooling the reaction kettle after the reaction is completed, filtering liquid to remove the impurities, and then adding a diluent for diluting to prepare the polyester modified epoxy resin for the coiled material primer.
Further, the polyester raw materials in the step S1 comprise terephthalic anhydride and propylene glycol, the epoxy resin is modified by oxazolidone, the molar ratio of the terephthalic anhydride to the propylene glycol in the polyester raw materials in the step S2 is 1:1.1-1.5, the reaction temperature is 180-200 ℃, and the reaction time is 2-4 hours.

Further, the auxiliary materials in the step S1 comprise a filler, a pigment and a leveling agent, the auxiliary materials are added into the polyester modified epoxy resin prepared in the step S4, and the reaction temperature in the step S4 is kept for continuous reaction.
Further, the solid content of the polyester modified epoxy resin for coil priming paint is 20-30%.
Compared with the prior art, the invention has the advantages that: according to the invention, the linear polyester resin with proper polymerization degree is prepared by phthalic anhydride and propylene glycol, the epoxy group of the epoxy resin is utilized to react with the hydroxyl or carboxyl on the linear polyester resin, and the flexible polyester resin is grafted onto the epoxy resin, so that the newly prepared modified epoxy resin has the advantages of both the epoxy resin and the polyester resin, and the prepared paint film has good adhesive force, high flexibility, excellent corrosion resistance, high hardness and good impact resistance, has excellent resin and paint storage stability, and can meet various performance requirements of the priming paint for coiled materials.
