Abstract
一种用电视视频系统(TVCR)中的画中画(PIP)控制方法及设备,根据PIP控制信号选择性地控制盒式录像机(VCR)的操作。在此种TVCR中采用了两种功能,即:当PIP控制信号表示VCR关闭时仅显示电视广播信号母画面,同时停止VCR的重放操作;而当PIP控制信号表示PIP显示模式关闭时仅显示该母画面。所以,通过控制VCR输出的重放信号子画面的显示来控制VCR的操作,从而减少了控制VCR按键操作的麻烦。
Description
本发明涉及画中画(PIP)控制方法及设备,特别涉及一种用于电视视频系统(TVCR)的PIP控制方法及设备,可以根据PIP控制选择性地控制盒式录像机(VCR)的操作。
普通的PIP系统在屏幕上同时显示若干画面,其中母画面在整个屏幕上显示,而尺寸小于母画面的子画面则在母画面的预定位置上显示。采用这种PIP系统的视频设备包括至少两个(视频)调谐器,一个接收要显示为母画面的电视广播信号,另一个接收要显示为子画面的电视广播信号。
将电视机与盒式录像机(VCR)合并为一体的普通电视视频系统(TVCR)包括单一调谐器和一个VCR。这样,当使用上述PIP系统时,TVCR分别显示经调谐器接收的用作母画面的电视广播信号和从VCR输出的用作子画面的重放信号。另外,从VCR输出的重放信号也可以显示为母画面,而经调谐器接收的电视广播信号也可以显示为子画面。
在具有这种PIP功能的TVCR中,当经调谐器接收的电视广播信号显示为母画面时和从VCR输出的重放信号显示为子画面时,如果PIP模式关闭,则只有子画面消失,但是VCR仍然继续工作。因此,需要分别地进行键控以便停止VCR的重放操作。这对用户来说是非常不方便的。
针对上述问题,本发明的目的是提供一种PIP控制方法,该方法可根据PIP控制信号停止或保持电视视频系统(TVCR)中VCR的重放操作。
本发明的另一目的是提供一种PIP控制设备,该设备可以根据PIP控制信号停止或保持电视视频系统(TVCR)中VCR的重放操作。
为实现本发明的上述目的,本发明提供了一种用于电视视频系统(TVCR)的画中画(PIP)控制方法,该PIP控制方法包括以下步骤:
(a)检查子画面是否经TVCR系统被显示;
(b)检查PIP控制信号是否输入;
(c)当在步骤(b)中PIP控制信号输入时确定PIP控制信号的内容;和
(d)当PIP控制信号表示VCR关闭时,仅显示母画面,同时停止VCR的重放操作;而当PIP控制信号表示所显示的PIP显示模式关闭时,仅显示母画面。
为实现本发明的另一个目的,本发明提供了一种用于将TV与VCR的功能合为一体的电视视频系统(TVCR)中画中画(PIP)控制设备,该PIP控制设备包括:
一个键输入单元,用于产生若干包含频道选择信号、视频操作信号和PIP控制信号的键输入信号;一个控制器,用于根据键输入单元产生的键输入信号控制每一功能;一个切换单元,用于根据控制器的控制信号来切换电视广播信号和VCR输出的重放信号以及输出选择的结果;一个母画面视频信号处理器,用于把切换单元输出的视频信号处理成要显示为母画面的视频信号;一个子画面视频信号处理器,用于把切换单元输出的视频信号处理成要显示为子画面的视频信号;以及,一个显示器,用于在母画面的预定部分组合子画面和显示其组合的结果,
其中,控制器按以下方式控制显示器:当从键输入单元接收的PIP控制信号表示VCR关闭时,只显示母画面,同时停止VCR的重放操作;而当PIP控制信号表示PIP显示模式关闭时,只显示母画面。
优选实施例说明参照的附图中:
图1是本发明优选实施例的TVCR的示意图;和
图2是解释图1所示设备操作的流程图。
下面将参照附图说明本发明的优选实施例。
参见图1,本发明优选实施例的电视视频系统(TVCR)含有一个键输入单元10,用于产生键输入信号,如PIP控制信号、频道选择信号和有关VCR操作的VCR控制(如重放,停止等)信号。控制器20根据键输入单元10的键输入信号产生若干操作控制信号。控制器20与调谐器30和VCR40连接。调谐器30响应控制器20的控制,以选择电视广播信号的频道。VCR40根据控制器20的控制执行或停止重放操作。与调谐器30或VCR40连接的切换单元SW,根据控制器20的切换控制信号,选择调谐器30提供的电视广播信号和VCR40提供的重放信号,并输出选择的结果。切换单元SW与母画面视频信号处理器50和子画面视频信号处理器60连接。母画面视频信号处理器50处理输入的视频信号以便显示母画面;子画面视频信号处理器60处理输入的视频信号以便显示子画面。处理后的母画面视频信号和子画面视频信号通过显示器70显示。
在说明本发明的优选实施例之前,首先说明显示为母画面的电视广播信号的情况和显示为子画面的从VCR输出的重放信号的情况。
用户通过键输入单元10选择期望的广播频道。用户所选择频道的频道选择信号送入控制器20。控制器20根据输入的频道选择信号控制调谐器30,调谐器30根据频道选择信号选择电视广播信号的频道。所选择频道的电视广播信号送入切换单元SW。同时,为了将VCR输出的重放信号显示为子画面,用户经键输入单元10向控制器20送入用于VCR40重放操作的VCR控制信号。VCR40向切换单元SW输出在录像带(未示出)上记录的视频信号。控制器20产生切换控制信号,以使切换单元SW分别向母画面视频信号处理器50供应调谐器30输出的电视广播信号和向子画面视频信号处理器60供应VCR40输出的重放视频信号。子画面视频信号处理器60使用已知的子画面显示技术,按照垂直和水平方向的预定尺寸压缩通过切换单元SW从VCR40提供的视频信号。母画面视频信号处理器50处理通过切换单元SW从调谐器30提供的电视广播信号,以便在显示器70上将电视广播信号显示为母画面,并输出信号处理的结果。显示器70接收和显示两种信号,以便在母画面的预定部分显示子画面。
图2示出了用于解释图1的设备操作的流程图。即,将参照图2详细说明在把电视广播信号显示为TVCR母画面和把VCR输出的重放信号显示为子画面的状态下,子画面从显示器70的屏幕消失时本发明的操作。
控制器20检查显示器70的当前显示状态。即,检查当前状态是否为子画面处在母画面的预定部分的PIP模式“接通”状态(步骤210)。如果当前状态为PIP模式“接通”状态,则检查VCR40输出的重放视频信号是否显示为子画面(步骤220)。如果VCR40输出的重放信号被显示,则认为是正常的PIP模式操作状态。否则,流程返回步骤210,重复程序。
在步骤230中,控制器20检查PIP控制信号是否从键输入单元10输入。如果PIP控制信号未输入,流程则返回步骤230,以重复程序。然而,当PIP控制信号输入时,控制器20判断键输入单元10提供的PIP控制信号是否表示VCR40的关闭(步骤240)。如果PIP控制信号表示VCR40的关闭,则控制器20向VCR40输出VCR停止信号,以停止重放操作(步骤250),并控制显示器70解除PIP模式的“接通”状态。然而,如果PIP控制信号不表示VCR40的关闭,则在步骤260中控制器20仅控制显示器70,以便通过显示器70仅显示母画面。
如上所述,本发明涉及用于TVCR的画中画(PIP)控制。在VCR输出的重放信号被显示为子画面的状态下,采用了两种功能,即,当PIP控制信号表示VCR关闭时仅显示母画面同时停止VCR的重放操作;而当PIP控制信号表示PIP显示模式的关闭时仅显示母画面。所以,通过子画面显示控制来控制VCR的操作,从而减少了控制VCR按键操作的麻烦。
尽管已经详细说明了本发明的某些实施例,但应该明白在不背离本发明精神和范围的条件下可以做出该实施例的许多变形。
Claims (2)
1.一种用于电视视频系统(TVCR)中的画中画(PIP)控制方法,该PIP控制方法包括以下步骤:
(a)检查子画面是否经TVCR系统被显示;
(b)检查PIP控制信号是否输入;
(c)当在步骤(b)中PIP控制信号输入时确定PIP控制信号的内容;和
(d)当PIP控制信号表示所述的VCR关闭时,仅显示母画面,同时停止VCR的重放操作;而当PIP控制信号表示所述显示的PIP显示模式的关闭时,仅显示母画面。
2.一种用于将TV与VCR的功能合并为一体的电视视频系统(TVCR)中的画中画(PIP)控制设备,该PIP控制设备包括:
一个键输入单元,用于产生若干包含频道选择信号、视频操作信号和PIP控制信号的键输入信号;
一个控制器,用于根据键输入单元产生的键输入信号控制每一功能;
一个切换单元,用于根据控制器的控制信号来切换电视广播信号和VCR输出的重放信号以及输出选择的结果;
一个母画面视频信号处理器,用于把切换单元输出的视频信号处理成要显示为母画面的视频信号;
一个子画面视频信号处理器,用于把切换单元输出的视频信号处理成要显示为子画面的视频信号;
一个显示器,用于在母画面的预定部分组合子画面和显示其组合的结果,
其中,所述控制器按以下方式控制所述显示器:当从键输入单元接收的PIP控制信号表示VCR关闭时,只显示母画面,同时停止VCR的重放操作;而当PIP控制信号表示PIP显示模式关闭时,只显示母画面。
