Description
本发明涉及一种保护玉米的方法。
有必要预防玉米螟对玉米的侵害,特别是那些螟蛾族的如欧洲玉米螟[拉丁名:Ostrinia种,如Ostrinia nubilalis(下文称作欧洲玉米螟)],西南玉米螟和Lesser玉米茎秆螟。这些不同的玉米螟带来了类似的问题。玉米螟幼虫可以消耗全部植物叶组织的40%,从而相当大地降低光合作用和随后的产量。通过晚期感染消耗谷穗可进一步减产。欧洲玉米螟也可以穿入茎秆而取食;该穿入使得茎秆变脆弱并在风暴或刮风的天气里折断,导致减产。
而且,由于害虫采食发生在不易观察的茎秆的螺环中和孔道中,所以虫害不明显,因此有可能认为杀虫处理无必要,或者选择杀虫处理的时间不当以至于在它们进入植物的螺环穗或穿入硬茎秆之前未防治幼虫。
欧洲玉米螟的隐蔽效应以及难以正确选择叶面施用杀虫剂的时间,使得需要有一种长期和持续保护玉米以防治欧洲玉米螟;并进而避免无法预料的该欧洲玉米螟进入植物的螺环和茎。然而,现有的必需施用到叶以防治欧洲玉米螟的杀虫剂提供的有效保护期不超过一或两周。
该有关正确选择施药时间的困难可通过施药到植物土壤而克服,但是由于施用该产品到土壤中和感染欧洲玉米螟之间的时间间隔(2到4个月),以及从该土壤到该欧洲玉米螟幼虫采食的叶间的距离(0.7m到2.5m)使得几乎不能期望在使用中等剂量的活性组分时该方法高效预防欧洲玉米螟。
在本说明书和权利要求中,“玉米(maize)”一词和“玉米(corn)”一词是相当的。单词“maize”,“corn”,“玉米植株”,和“玉米种子”包括了植物的全部发育阶段和部分,包括种子,叶,茎秆和玉米稳及粒。
已知玉米植株可用一些杂环杀虫剂进行保护,如专利申请WO87/3781,93/6089,94/21606以及欧洲专利申请295117所述的杀虫剂。
本发明的一个目的是提供一种有效的处理玉米以防治欧洲玉米螟的方法(虽然目前对此方法极有偏见)。

已发现通过本发明可以调整和达到这些目的。
本发明的目前目的是一种防治侵害或者易侵害或者预计会侵害玉米植株的玉米螟(如欧洲玉米螟)的方法,以及一种保护玉米植株以防治玉米螟(如欧洲玉米螟)的方法,其是通过在事先种植的玉米种子上、附近或周围施用一种有效量的1-芳基吡唑杀虫活性组分。
本发明的目的也在于一种减少和/或者防止玉米茎秆中形成孔道的方法,其是在事先种植的玉米种子上、附近或周围施用一种有效剂量的1-芳吡唑杀虫活性组分。
本发明还有进一步的目的在于一种防治侵害或者成熟的易侵害或者预计会侵害玉米植株的玉米螟(如欧洲玉米螟)的方法,以及一种保护成熟玉米植株以防治玉米螟(如欧洲玉米螟)的方法,其是通过在播种时在所播玉米种子的附近施用有效量的1-芳基吡唑杀虫活性组分。

式(I)中的烷基和烷氧基优选地是低级烷基和烷氧基,即带有一到四个碳原子的基团。该卤代烷基和卤代烷氧基同样优选地带有一到四个碳原子。该卤代烷基和卤代烷氧基可带有一个或多个卤素原子,优选的此类基团包括-CF3和-OCF3。

本发明的范围内的能用于控制欧洲玉米螟的具体吡唑衍生物包括5-氨基-3-氰基-1-(2,6-二氯-4-三氟甲苯基)-4-三氟甲基亚磺酰吡唑。这个用于本发明的特别优选的杀虫剂在下文中称为化合物A。
式(I)化合物的制备可按照国际专利公开WO 87/03781,WO 93/06089和WO 94/21606,以及欧洲专利公开0295117,0403300,0385809,和0679650,德国专利公开19511269和美国专利5,232,940和5,236,938中所述的任何工艺进行。
如上述,本发明的1-芳基吡唑必须施用到所播玉米种子的附近。实际上,这意味着该活性组分应该施用到待种的玉米种子上(播种前施用,选择性作为直接对玉米子进行处理),或者作为在播种了该玉米种子后的土壤处理。
在玉米种子播种时或者以后施用活性组分到土壤中是有利的,从而使得所提供的土壤中活性成份的比率为大约0.01kg/公顷(ha)到大约1kg/ha,优选地介于0.02和0.3kg/ha之间。
有利的是,上述1-芳基吡唑可配成流动剂组合物,可湿性粉剂,微乳剂及类似剂型,它们都施用到土壤,水和/或者叶上并提供所需的植物保护作用。该配方包括混合有惰性的农艺上可接受的固体或液体稀释剂的本发明的化合物。土壤施药的优选剂型是颗粒剂或液态剂型。
可能的配方的说明可见于专利申请WO 87/3781,93/6089,94/21606以及欧洲专利申请295117。
例如,本发明的活性组分的可湿性粉剂,药粉和药粉浓缩剂型可以通过将式(I)的1-芳基吡唑化合物和大约1%到20%重量百分比的固体阴离子表面活性剂一起研磨而制备。一种合适的阴离子型表面活性剂是硫代琥珀酸钠的二辛基酯。该配方中还包括大约85%到99%重量百分比的惰性固态稀释剂,如蒙脱土,硅镁土,白垩,滑石,高岭土,硅藻土,石灰石,硅酸盐或类似物,以及其他如上文所述的辅助剂。
如前述,本发明的1-芳基吡唑在播种前施用于玉米时也可以有效地防治欧洲玉米螟。玉米可以进行处理,特别是通过包衣或包埋或浸透于液态或糊状的性质明确的制剂中而进行处理并随后干燥。包含有2-1000克/公担的,优选5-800克/公担的玉米尤其合适。
由于其提供了长期的处理,所以本发明是特别有利的。根据本发明可达到与生长大约2到3米茎的玉米植株对应的一段时期的保护作用。
下列实施例为了阐明本发明而提供。
实施例1
将玉米播种于3.51贮槽中,并在温室里生长。将化合物A的颗粒(1.5%w/w)在播种以相当于120g/ha的活性成份的比率施于土壤表面。将欧洲玉米螟卵块在植物发芽后3-4周置于叶上。在感染后4-5周(此时植株高于2米)计数欧洲玉米螟引起的茎秆虫孔数。
未处理的对照,和用Terbufos(1120g/ha)及Imidacloprid(500g/ha)的颗粒处理的植株分别平均有5.3,5.5和5.6虫孔/茎秆。而用化合物A处理的植株平均有0.4虫孔/茎秆。
实施例2
将玉米种籽用化合物A以每公担种子有500克化合物A的比例处理。然后,如实施例1所述进行实验。最后,植株平均有1.3个虫孔/茎秆。未处理的植株平均有4.1虫孔/茎秆。
实施例3
用化合物A以500克/公担种子的比例处理玉米种子。然后,播种,让其生长90天后,测评抗欧洲玉米螟的损伤。未处理的对照组平均有20.3个虫孔/10个茎秆,并且有72.5%的茎秆受损害。用化合物A处理的种子发育成的植株则平均有6.5虫孔/10茎秆(68%防治),而受损害茎秆只有32.5%。
实施例4
将玉米播于田间并使其生长。将化合物A的颗粒在播种时以120克AI/Ha的活性成份的比例施用于土壤表面,对一部分植株进行开沟处理和带状处理。全部植株在播种48天后用欧洲玉米螟卵块以50-100个卵/植株的比例感染。在播种77天时采集标本并检查每十株植物的虫孔数和感染虫害植株的百分数。数据如表1所示。如下计算防治的百分数(%):%防治=[(%感染的未处理植株)-(%感染的处理植株]/(%感染的未处理植株)

实施例6

7.根据任何前述权利要求所述的方法,其中的玉米螟是Ostrinia nubilalis。
8.根据任何一种前述权利要求所述的方法,其中:
R1是CN;和/或者
R4是-NR5R6;和/或者
R5和R6分别选自氢原子,烷基,卤代烷基,-C(O)烷基,C(O)OR7;和/或者X是C-R12;和/或者
R13选自卤原子,卤代烷基,卤代烷氧基,或-SF5。
9.根据任何一种前述的权利要求所述的方法,其中:
R1是CN;
R4是-NR5R6;
R5和R6分别选自氢原子,烷基,卤代烷基,-C(O)烷基,C(O)OR7;
X是C-R12;
R13选自卤原子,卤代烷基,卤代烷氧基,或者-SF5。
10.根据任一前述权利要求所述的方法,其中的式(I)化合物是5-氨基-3-氰基-1-(2,6-二氯-4-三氟甲苯基)-4-三氟甲基亚磺酰吡唑。
11.根据任一前述权利要求所述的方法,其中将活性成分施到土壤中,使得有大约0.01kg/ha到大约1kg/ha的活性成分的比例。
12.根据任一前述权利要求所述的方法,其中将活性成分施到土壤中,使得有0.02到0.3kg/ha之间的活性成分的比例。
13.根据任一前述权利要求所述的方法,其中应用该活性成分使得玉米种子含有2-1000克/q的活性成分。
14.根据任一前述权利要求所述的方法,其中应用该活性成分使得玉米种子中含有5-800克/q的活性成分。
15.应用于如任一前述权利要求所述的方法中的组合物,其含有0.0001-95%的重量百分比的如该前述权利要求所定义的式(I)的活性成分。
