A hand-held hair dryer comprising a hand-held portion and a main body portion, said hand-held portion comprising a first inner housing and a second inner housing, said main body portion comprising a hair dryer, at least one of said first inner housing and said second inner housing being held in place with said hair dryer, said hair dryer comprising a main portion and a connecting portion in communication with said main portion, at least one of said first inner housing and said second inner housing being held in place with said connecting portion, said first inner housing being mounted to said connecting portion along a first direction, said second inner housing being mounted to said connecting portion along a second direction, said hair dryer restricting movement of said first inner housing along said second direction after said first inner housing is mounted to said hair dryer; the first inner shell and the second inner shell are mutually fixed; the first inner shell and the second inner shell are of arc structures, at least the part of the connecting part corresponding to the second inner shell is arc-shaped, arc-shaped defects are formed in the part, and when the second inner shell is mounted on the connecting part, one end, close to the air duct, of the second inner shell is embedded into the arc-shaped defects.
2. The hand-held hair dryer of claim 1, wherein the first and second inner housings are retained in place with the dryer, and wherein the first and second inner housings are retained in place with the connection.

8. The hand-held hair dryer of claim 1 wherein said first direction and said second direction are perpendicular to each other.
9. A hand held hair dryer according to claim 1 or claim 2, wherein the end of the second inner housing adjacent the air duct is provided with a projection, and the arcuate defect is provided with a recess corresponding to the projection.
10. A hand held hair dryer according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said main portion is hollow.
