Description

Packing unit and packing method for filling rod
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a packing unit and a packing method of a filler rod.
Background
Patent document 1 discloses a wrapping unit for a filter element for a tobacco rod. The wrapping unit rolls a continuous body including a tobacco rod and a filter rod arranged coaxially, and when the continuous body is rolled, the tipping paper is wrapped around the continuous body and connected to the continuous body to form an intermediate product of the smoking article. The package unit is provided with a package roller and a package block.
The package roller has an outer peripheral surface for holding the tipping paper and the continuous body, and conveys the tipping paper and the continuous body in a circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface. The package block has a rolling surface facing the outer peripheral surface of the package roller, a rolling gap is formed between the rolling surface and the outer peripheral surface of the package roller, and the continuous body is sandwiched and rolled in the rolling gap in accordance with rotation of the package roller, and the tipping paper is wound around the continuous body.
When the tipping paper and the continuous body are held on the outer peripheral surface of the winding drum and conveyed, a part of the circumferential direction of the continuous body is preliminarily stuck to the tipping paper by glue. When the continuous body is sandwiched between the rolling gaps and rolled, frictional force acts between the rolling surface and the tipping paper to which a part of the continuous body is attached by contact with the rolling surface of the wrapping block. By the action of the friction force, the tipping paper is wound over the entire circumferential region of the continuous body.

Disclosure of Invention
Technical problem to be solved by the invention
Tobacco stems filled with tobacco material are broadly defined as filler stems filled with flavor material (there may be cases where tobacco material is not included). In this case, the filling portion obtained by cutting the filling rod constitutes a non-combustion heating type flavor-attracting article. A heater for a device for attracting an article with a fragrance, for example, heats a filling portion by inserting the filling portion, and generates an aerosol of a fragrance component. In this case, if the filling amount of the flavor material is larger in the filling portion than in the size of the heater, the insertion resistance of the heater into the filling portion becomes large, and it becomes difficult to insert the heater, and the operability at the time of suction is deteriorated. Further, the heater may be damaged due to insertion resistance of the heater.
In addition, if the filling amount of the flavor material is larger than the size of the heater in the filling portion, the flavor material in the filling portion becomes too dense by the insertion of the heater, and the air permeability in the filling portion is deteriorated, which may deteriorate the taste. In order to eliminate these drawbacks, the amount of the flavor raw material to be filled into the filling rod may be reduced as compared with the conventional one. In addition, considering the cost of the flavor-attracting article, the amount of the flavor raw material to be filled may be reduced.
The filling rod forms the fragrance raw material into a filling by a roll-up machine, and continuously wraps the filling by a roll paper. If the filling amount of the fragrance raw material is reduced, the filling density of the fragrance raw material in the filling rod is reduced. Thus, the hardness of the filling rod decreases, i.e. the filling rod softens. As the filler rod softens, the reaction force of the filler rod generated when the filler rod is sandwiched and rolled in the rolling gap decreases, in other words, the filler rod is difficult to elastically deform. Therefore, when the continuous body rolls in the rolling gap, the adhesion between the rolling surface and the tipping paper to which a part of the continuous body is adhered is reduced, and the frictional force acting between the rolling surface and the tipping paper is reduced.
If the friction between the rolling surface and the tipping paper decreases, the rolling resistance of the filler rod decreases in the rolling gap. Therefore, the filling rod partially attached to the tipping paper slides with respect to the tipping paper, and the tipping paper cannot be properly wound over the entire circumferential region of the continuous body. As a result, wrinkles are generated in the completed tipping paper of the intermediate product, or a difference in level is generated in the tipping paper at the boundary portion between the filling rod of the completed intermediate product and the adjacent rod such as the filter rod, and the quality of the intermediate product and the smoking article is degraded.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a packaging unit and a packaging method for a filler rod, which can ensure quality of intermediate products and smoking articles even when the amount of filler of flavor raw materials is reduced.
Technical scheme for solving technical problems
A package unit for a filling rod according to one aspect is a package unit for forming a continuous body in which a plurality of rods including a filling rod filled with a flavor raw material are coaxially arranged, rolling the continuous body, and winding a tipping paper around the continuous body during the rolling, thereby connecting the tipping paper to the continuous body to form an intermediate product of a flavor-attracting article, the package unit comprising: a package roller having an outer peripheral surface for holding the tipping paper and the continuous body, and conveying the tipping paper and the continuous body in a circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface; a package block having a rolling surface facing the outer peripheral surface of the package roller, and forming a rolling gap between the rolling surface and the outer peripheral surface of the package roller, the package block being configured to roll the continuous body while sandwiching the continuous body therebetween in accordance with rotation of the package roller, and to wind the package paper around the continuous body; the package block has a plurality of block-side suction holes formed in the rolling surface, and the rolling gap is sucked through each block-side suction hole.
In one aspect, a method for winding a filler rod to form a continuous body in which a plurality of rods including filler rods filled with a flavor raw material are coaxially arranged, rolling the continuous body, and winding a tipping paper around the continuous body during the rolling, thereby connecting the tipping paper to the continuous body to form an intermediate product of a flavor-attracting article, the method comprising: a conveying step of conveying the tipping paper and the continuous body in the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface by using a package roller having the outer peripheral surface holding the tipping paper and the continuous body; a winding step of winding the continuous body with the continuous body interposed therebetween by rotation of the winding drum, using a winding block having a rolling surface facing the outer peripheral surface of the winding drum and forming a rolling gap between the rolling surface and the outer peripheral surface of the winding drum; in the winding step, a suction step of sucking the rolling gap is performed through a plurality of block-side suction holes opened in the rolling surface of the wound block.
Effects of the invention
According to the packaging unit and the packaging method of the filling rod, quality of the intermediate product and the smoking article can be ensured even when the filling amount of the flavor raw material is reduced.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 is a schematic view schematically showing a filter mounting process for connecting the filter rod FR to the filler rod TR. The filter mounting process first prepares a filling rod DTR having a length twice that of a filling portion T of a flavor-attracting article C (hereinafter also simply referred to as article C), as shown in (a). Next, as shown in (b), the longitudinal center of the filling rod DTR is cut and halved into filling rods TR. A filter rod FR having twice the length of the filter portion F of the article C is prepared, and the filter rod FR is disposed between the two filling rods TR.
Next, as shown in (c), a continuous body a is formed in which the filling rod TR and the filter rod FR are coaxially aligned and abutted against each other. Next, as shown in (d), the wrapping paper P is wound around the outer peripheral surface of the continuous body a including the butt portions of the filler rods TR and the filter rods FR, and is adhered with glue. As a result, as shown in (e), an intermediate product B is formed in which the two filler rods TR and the single filter rod FR are integrally connected to each other by the tipping paper P.
Next, as shown in (f), the middle of the intermediate product B in the longitudinal direction is cut from above the tipping paper P, and finally two products C are formed. The filter attachment process is performed by conveying and delivering the filling rod DTR, the filling rod TR, the filter rod FR, the tipping paper P, the continuous body a, and the intermediate product B to and from the outer peripheral surface of each drum constituting the series of drum rows.
The flavor raw material constituting the filler of the filler rod TR is, for example, cut tobacco, a product obtained by cutting a tobacco sheet, or a product obtained by folding a tobacco sheet into a pleated shape. The flavor material may be a product obtained by adding a flavor to a sheet made of a pulp containing no tobacco, a product obtained by cutting a sheet made of a non-tobacco plant, or a product obtained by folding these sheets into a pleated shape.
Fig. 2 shows a schematic view of the package unit 1 according to the embodiment. The winding unit 1 rolls the continuous body a, and winds the tipping paper P around the continuous body a during the rolling (the state of fig. 1 (d)). Thus, the continuous body a is connected and integrated by the tipping paper P, and the intermediate article B of the article C is formed (state of fig. 1 (e)). The package unit 1 includes a package drum 2, package blocks 4, and a head rail 6.
The package roller 2 has an outer peripheral surface 2a that holds the tipping paper P and the continuous body a, and rotates in the direction indicated by the solid arrow around a rotation shaft 2b that extends parallel to the continuous body a. Thereby, the continuous body a is conveyed in the circumferential direction indicated by the broken line arrow of the outer circumferential surface 2 a. Specifically, a plurality of drum-side suction holes 8 are formed in the outer peripheral surface 2a of the package drum 2. The drum-side suction holes 8 are holes extending parallel to the rotary shaft 2b, are provided at equal intervals in the circumferential direction of the outer circumferential surface 2a, and communicate with a suction source, not shown.
Corresponding to an arbitrary number of the drum side suction holes 8 formed along the outer peripheral surface 2a, for example, as shown in the drawing, a groove 10 is formed in which a counterbore is performed in each of the openings of three drum side suction holes 8. The tipping paper P is held in a state of being stuck to the outer peripheral surface 2a by suction from each drum-side suction hole 8, and is conveyed in the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface 2 a. The attachment of the tipping paper P to the outer peripheral surface 2a may be accompanied by static electricity carried by the tipping paper P.
The continuous body a is held by the outer peripheral surface 2a in a state of being accommodated in the groove 10 by suction from the drum side suction hole 8 in which the groove 10 is formed, and is conveyed in the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface 2 a. When the tipping paper P and the continuous body a are held and conveyed on the outer peripheral surface 2a of the package roller 2, a part of the continuous body a in the circumferential direction is preliminarily adhered to the tipping paper P by means of glue.
The package block 4 has a curved rolling surface 4a facing the outer peripheral surface 2a of the package drum 2. A rolling gap 12 is formed between the rolling surface 4a and the outer peripheral surface 2a of the package roller 2. The winding block 4 rolls the continuous body a with the rolling gap 12 interposed therebetween in accordance with the rotation of the winding drum 2, and winds the tipping paper P over the entire circumferential region of the continuous body a.
Specifically, the head rail 6 is provided at the entrance of the rolling gap 12 in the conveyance direction of the continuous body a, and protrudes from the rolling surface 4a toward the outer peripheral surface 2a of the package roller 2. By bringing the head rail 6 into contact with the conveyed continuous body a, the continuous body a temporarily disengages from the groove 10, and rolling starts in the rolling gap 12.
The continuous body a that starts rolling at the entrance of the rolling gap 12 rolls while being sandwiched between the rolling surface 4a and the outer peripheral surface 2a of the drum-side suction hole 8 in which the groove 10 is not formed in the rolling gap 12 in accordance with the rotation of the package drum 2. At this time, the tipping paper P held on the outer peripheral surface 2a and adhered with a part of the continuous body a is wound over the entire circumferential region of the abutting portion between each of the filler rods TR and the filter rod FR in the continuous body a. The tipping paper P is bonded by overlapping with each other via glue applied to both end edges thereof, to form an intermediate product B.
The intermediate product B is again sucked into the groove 10 at the outlet of the rolling gap 12, transported in the transport direction of the outer peripheral surface 2a, transferred from the package drum 2, and cut from above the tipping paper P at the center in the longitudinal direction of the intermediate product B in the next step as shown in fig. 1 (f), thereby finally producing two articles C.
Here, in the package block 4 of the present embodiment, a plurality of block-side suction holes 14 are formed in the rolling surface 4a, and the rolling gap 12 is sucked through each block-side suction hole 14. Each block-side suction hole 14 is, for example, a circular hole, and communicates with a suction source via a suction chamber 16 formed in the interior of the package block 4.
Fig. 3 is a plan view showing the positional relationship between the rolling surface 4a of the package block 4 and the continuous body a in contact with the rolling surface 4a. The block-side suction holes 14 are opened in the region S1 of the rolling surface 4a where the filling bars TR are located. The suction force applied from the suction source to each filling rod TR via the suction chamber 16 and each block-side suction hole 14 in order is determined by the suction pressure set by the suction source. The suction pressure of the suction source is set to a value that appropriately sets the rolling resistance of each filling rod TR in the rolling gap 12 and appropriately winds the tipping paper P around the continuous body a.
Fig. 4 shows another way of fig. 3 in top view. In the case of fig. 4, the block-side suction holes 14 are opened in the region S2 of the rolling surface 4a where the filter rod FR is located, in addition to the region S1 of the rolling surface 4a where the filling rods TR are located. The suction pressure of the suction source is set to a value that appropriately sets the rolling resistance of each of the filling rod TR and the filter rod FR in the rolling gap 12 and appropriately winds the tipping paper P around the continuous body a.
Fig. 5 shows a flowchart for explaining a packing method used for the filter assembly of the filler rod TR. When the package using the filling rod TR of the package unit 1 is started, the package drum 2 rotates about the rotation shaft 2b in step S1, and the tipping paper P and the continuous body a are conveyed in the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface 2a of the package drum 2 (conveying step).
Then, in step S2, the continuous body a is sandwiched and rolled in the rolling gap 12 with the rotation of the package roller 2, and the tipping paper P to which a part of the continuous body a is attached is wound over the entire circumferential region of the continuous body a (package step). In the winding step, in step P1, the rolling gap 12 is sucked through each block-side suction hole 14 opened in the rolling surface 4a of the winding block 4 (suction step).
Specifically, in the suction step, the rolling gap 12 is sucked through each block-side suction hole 14 opened in the region S1 where each filling rod TR of the rolling surface 4a is located. On the other hand, in the case of the embodiment shown in fig. 4, in the suction step, the rolling gap 12 is sucked through each block-side suction hole 14 that is opened in the region S1 where each filling rod TR of the rolling surface 4a is located and the region S2 where the filter rod FR of the rolling surface 4a is located.
For convenience of explanation, the above-described winding method is described as being divided into steps S1, S2 and step P1, but steps S1, S2 and step P1 are performed at the same timing from the start to the end of rolling of the continuous body a.
As described above, in the package unit and the package method of the filling rod TR of the present embodiment, the plurality of block-side suction holes 14 are formed in the rolling surface 4a of the package block 4, and the rolling gap 12 is sucked through the block-side suction holes 14 in the suction step of the package step.
When the filling amount of the flavor raw material is smaller than the conventional one, the reaction force of the filling rod TR is reduced by the softening of the filling rod TR, and the frictional force acting between the rolling surface 4a and the tipping paper P to which the partial continuous body a is attached is reduced. More specifically, if the hardness of the filling rod TR is less than 70%, the manufacturing of the filling rod TR becomes difficult, and thus it is indicated that the hardness of the filling rod TR needs to be set to 70% or more, more preferably 75% or more.
The hardness of the filler rod was measured using a measuring device (model: DD60 Adensitter (manufactured by Heinr. Borgwaldt GmbH)). The measuring device includes a push rod, and applies a load to the filling rod TR by lowering the push rod by a lowering distance d. When the diameter of the filler rod TR before the load is applied is Ds and the diameter of the filler rod TR after the predetermined time of the load application is Dd, the lowering distance d of the putter is calculated by using the expression Ds-Dd, and the hardness of the filler B is calculated by using the expression (Dd/Ds) ×100.
If the hardness of the filler rod is less than 70%, the friction force between the rolling surface 4a and the tipping paper P decreases, so that the rolling resistance of the filler rod TR in the rolling gap 12 decreases, the filler rod TR slides with respect to the tipping paper P, and the tipping paper P cannot be properly wound over the entire circumferential region of the filler rod TR. As a result, wrinkles are generated in the finished tipping paper of the intermediate product B, or a difference in level occurs at the boundary between the filling rod TR and the filter rod FR of the finished intermediate product B, and the quality of the intermediate product B and the article C is degraded.
On the other hand, in the present embodiment, the amount of decrease in the frictional force acting between the rolling surface 4a and the tipping paper P is compensated by the suction force via each block-side suction hole 14. Accordingly, even when the filling amount of the flavor raw material is lower than the conventional one, the adhesion between the rolling surface 4a and the tipping paper P to which the partial continuous body a is adhered can be improved in the rolling gap 12, and therefore, the tipping paper P can be wound around the filling rod TR appropriately over the entire circumferential region.
Therefore, wrinkles and level differences generated in the tipping paper P of the intermediate product B can be prevented. That is, the quality of the intermediate product B and the product C can be ensured without being affected by the filling amount and the filling density of the flavor raw material and without being affected by the hardness of the filling rod TR. More specifically, as shown in fig. 3, each block-side suction hole 14 opens in the region S1 of the rolling surface 4a where the filling rod TR is located.
In this case, in the suction process, the rolling gap 12 is sucked through each block-side suction hole 14 opened in the region S1. Thereby, the suction force from the suction source can be applied to the filling rod TR more effectively. Therefore, the amount of decrease in the frictional force acting between the rolling surface 4a and the tipping paper P can be more effectively compensated by the attractive force via each block-side suction hole 14.
On the other hand, considering the filtering performance of the filtering portion F constituting the article C, the amount of the filter material such as the nonwoven fabric sheet may be reduced in the filter rod FR. In this case, as in the case of the filler rod TR, the filler density of the filter rod FR is lowered to soften the filter rod FR. The softening of the filter rod FR reduces the reaction force of the filter rod FR generated when the filter rod FR is sandwiched and rolled in the rolling gap 12, and reduces the friction force acting between the rolling surface 4a and the tipping paper P.
Since the friction force between the rolling surface 4a and the tipping paper P is reduced, it is difficult to properly wind the tipping paper P around the filter rod FR. As a result, wrinkles and level differences occur in the tipping paper P of the intermediate product B, and the quality of the intermediate product B and the article C is degraded. Then, when the filter rod FR is softened, as shown in fig. 4, the block-side suction holes 14 are formed not only in the region S1 where the filler rod TR of the rolling surface 4a is located but also in the region S2 where the filter rod FR of the rolling surface 4a is located.
In this case, in the suction process, the rolling gap 12 is sucked through the respective block-side suction holes 14 opened in the regions S1 and S2. Accordingly, the amount of decrease in the frictional force acting between the rolling surface 4a and the tipping paper P can be compensated for by the suction force via the respective block-side suction holes 14 at the positions of both the filling rod TR and the filter rod FR. Therefore, the quality of the intermediate product B and the product C can be ensured not only when the filling amount of the flavor raw material is reduced but also when the filling amount of the filter raw material is reduced.
The above description of the embodiments has been completed, but the above embodiments are not limited thereto, and various modifications may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. For example, each block-side suction hole 14 may have a shape other than a circular hole, and the number of holes and the size of the holes in the regions S1 and S2 may be changed. Further, in the regions S1 and S2, means for making the suction force applied through the respective block-side suction holes 14 different may be provided. This can apply a suction force corresponding to the difference in hardness between the filler rod TR and the filter rod FR.
In the embodiment, the continuous body a is formed by disposing one filter rod FR between two filling rods TR, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the package unit and the package method of the embodiment can be applied to a case where a plurality of rods including the filling rods TR are coaxially arranged. For example, the continuous body a may be formed by disposing one filler rod TR between two filter rods FR.
The continuous body a may also include a rod different from the filter rod FR, for example, a paper tube as a rod other than the filling rod TR. Further, after forming the intermediate product B from the continuous body a in which the paper tube is disposed adjacent to the filling rod TR, the continuous body a in which the filter rod FR is disposed adjacent to the intermediate product B may be formed, and a new intermediate product B may be formed from the continuous body a, or the like, and the winding unit and the winding method of the embodiment may be applied when forming the intermediate product B that is different in stages.
The winding unit and the winding method according to the embodiment are not limited to the production of the intermediate product B of the non-combustion type flavor-absorbing article C, but can be applied to the production of the intermediate product B of the combustion type flavor-absorbing article.
