To facilitate an understanding of the present invention, a PNI-NPN network and its basic concepts will first be described.
3GPP (3 rd Generation Partnership Project, third generation partnership project) proposes 5GS (5 th Generation Mobile Communication Technology System, a generic name of all 5G Network elements) in R16 to support NPN (Non-Public Network) technology for establishing an enterprise private Network in the vertical industry. NPN networks are divided into SNPN (Stand-alone Non-Public Network) and PNI-NPN (Public Network integrated Non-Public Network/Non-independent Non-Public Network, public Network Integrated Non-Public Network, which consists of a Public Network and one or more Non-Public Network subnets). PNI-NPN is an NPN private network provided by PLMN (Public Land Mobile Network ) operators, e.g. by private DNNs (Data Network Name ) or by one or more network slice instances allocated for NPN in combination with CAG (Closed Access Group ) identity.
The PNI-NPN network is identified by a combination of PLMN ID (Identity) and CAG ID for identifying a private network. And access control to industry users is realized based on the CAG identifier, namely, only the users supporting the CAG identifier are allowed to access to the PNI-NPN cell. The CAG ID is used to identify a CAG, which is unique across the entire PLMN ID. The CAG cell is a cell in which only CAG members can obtain normal communication service under the coverage of the PNI-NPN network, and the cell can be associated with the CAG ID.
The list of CAG IDs in each PLMN that allow access to UEs (User equipments) is an Allowed CAG list. The 5G network will send an Allowed CAG list to the UE for storage through NAS (Non-Access Stratum) signaling, and the information signs up in UDM (unified data management function, unified Data Management). When the network implements PNI-NPN services, the Allowed CAG list is stored in UDM, AMF (Access and Mobility Management Function, access and mobility management functions), NG-RAN (Next Generation Radio Access Network, next generation radio access network/5G radio access network) and UE.
When the signed-up CAG information of the PNI-NPN user changes, the network may reconfigure the CAG information of the UE through a UE Configuration flow. When the UE moves from the PNI-NPN network to the public network PLMN and the serving AMF changes (the new AMF does not support PNI-NPN, i.e. does not support CAG function), if the subscription information in the UDM changes, the UE cannot receive the information of the CAG identifier update, and the UDM can only wait CAG information Subscription Change Indication (CAG information subscription change indication) for the time of clearing the configuration, and then discard sending the CAG configuration information, especially if the time is set longer, so that network resources are occupied for a long time. When the UE returns to the CAG cell again, the changed CAG identification information is reacquired through a TAU (Tracking Area Update ) procedure or a re-registration procedure.
The invention can at least provide a solution to the problem that when the UE moves from the PNI-NPN network to the PLMN, the UE can not receive the message (configuration update message) of the CAG identification update, the UDM waits for the terminal to receive the CAG identification update, the identification update fails, the UDM needs to wait until the time set by the flag bit is up to the time-out failure, and then the network resources are released, so that the network resources of the relevant network elements are occupied and wasted. The invention judges and actively informs the UDM by the AMF in time, and the UE can not receive the configuration update information, so that the related network element does not need to occupy network resources for a long time, wait for the response of the terminal, and further avoid the network to repeatedly send the configuration update information.
Example 1:
as shown in fig. 1, the present invention provides a PNI-NPN identifier update control method, including:
s11, the AMF receives a CAG information change notification about the UE from the UDM, and the CAG information change notification is sent to the AMF by the UDM according to a CAG information change instruction about the UE;
s12, the AMF sets a first timeout waiting mark in the CAG information change notification to zero in response to detecting that the PNI-NPN configuration update about the UE is wrong, so as to refuse to send a PNI-NPN configuration update message to the UE according to the CAG information change notification;
s13, the AMF sends a rejection message to the UDM, so that the UDM sets a second overtime waiting mark in the CAG information change instruction to zero according to the rejection message, and the waiting for receiving of the confirmation message sent after the UE completes PNI-NPN configuration update is finished;
wherein PNI-NPN is a public network integrated non-public network, AMF is an access and mobile management function network element, UDM is a unified data management function network element, UE is user equipment, and CAG is a closed access group.
Specifically, in the present embodiment, if the CAG feature is to be used, it is required that both the UE and the network support the CAG function. The CAG information of the UE on the network side is stored in the UDM as Mobility Restriction (mobility restriction) subscription information of the UE. If the UE signs up for the CAG service, and if the UE reports the CAG capability information in the registration process, the network can send the CAG information to the UE, and the UE can store the CAG information on the terminal after receiving the CAG information for future processes such as cell selection and reselection. The identifier field in CAG information Subscription Change Indication may be shown in table 1 below, where CAG information Subscription Change indication is not "True" or "False", but is an identifier provisioningTime in time form, and when the UDM receives an acknowledgement message from the UE, the provisioningTime is cleared; if the UDM does not receive the acknowledgement message from the UE, the provisioningTime field is a set time value, during which the UDM and AMF need to wait for the terminal's message until the timeout fails:
table 1CAG information change indication identification field
The network may provide "CAG information list (CAG information list)" to the UE through UE Configuration Update (configuration update) flow, registration flow, and Service Request flow. When subscription information in the UDM changes, such as: some CAG ID is deleted from Allowed CAG list, or a CAG identifier is added to CAG list, or a CAG-only indication is changed, UDM sets CAG information Subscription Change indication (i.e. CAG information change indication) as shown in table 1, and sets a second timeout waiting identifier (provisioningTime field) therein, then as shown in fig. 2, calls nudm_sdm_notification service to send a CAG information change Notification (Data Change Notification) to AMF, AMF waits for subsequent procedure execution, so there is also a first timeout waiting identifier in the CAG information change Notification, and if the procedure is executed correctly, AMF triggers UE Configuration Update procedure, updates CAG information in UE by Configuration Update Command (configuration update command, i.e. PNI-NPN configuration update message) message carrying CAG information list IE (Information Element ), and upon receiving the AMF update information of UE and receiving acknowledgement information (i.e. udf 67) from UE, the AMF will be cleared after the AMF has successfully received the update information (Data Change Notification), the AMF triggers UE Configuration Update procedure.
Aiming at the condition that the flow is abnormal, the invention detects whether the configuration updating can be completed by the AMF aiming at the CAG information flow of the configuration UE initiated by the UDM, and finishes the timeout waiting of the AMF and the UDM in advance under the condition that the configuration updating can not be completed, thereby avoiding the waste caused by long-time occupation of network resources by the waiting. Specifically, after the CAG subscription data of the user is modified, the UDM sends a Notify notification AMF, a second timeout waiting identifier is set in the UDM, and a first timeout waiting identifier is also present in the AMF, so that the AMF determines that an error occurs in PNI-NPN configuration update about the UE according to certain conditions, and therefore, the AMF sets the own first timeout waiting identifier to zero in advance, and notifies the UDM to set the second timeout waiting identifier to zero, and for the situation that feedback of the UE cannot be obtained, the AMF and the UDM do not need to wait for terminal feedback all the time, thereby avoiding wasting network resources.
In an embodiment, before the AMF receives the CAG information change notification about the UE from the UDM, the AMF further comprises:
the AMF receives a mobility registration update message from the UE, the mobility registration update message including a notification that the UE is a PNI-NPN user.
Specifically, in this embodiment, a possible problem scenario is that, when the CAG subscription data of the user is modified and the UDM sends a Notify notification AMF, if there is a user that has moved out of the PNI-NPN cell, registration is performed in the PLMN network, and the service AMF changes, and at this time, the new AMF does not support the PNI-NPN function, so that the user cannot receive the updated CAG list. When the UE moves from the PNI-NPN cell to the PLMN cell, due to the change of the AMF of the service, the terminal performs cell reselection, and initiates a TAU (Tracking Area Update ) update procedure at the same time, and the normal UE moves out of the TA (Tracking Area) range, and initiates a mobility registration update procedure as shown in fig. 3, including:
1) The UE sends AN message to the RAN, including AN parameters and Registration Request messages (Registration type,5G GUTI), registration type indicated as "Mobility Registration Update";
2) The RAN performs AMF Selection according to the 5G GUTI, and selects a new AMF;
3) The RAN sends NGAP Initial UE Message to the selected AMF, including N2 parameters and Registration Request messages (Registration type,5G GUTI, etc.);
4) New AMF initiates Namf_communication_ UEContextTransfer (complete Registration Request) to Old AMF to request to acquire UE related information;
5) The old AMF sends Namf_communication_UEContextTransferResponse (SUPI, UE Context in AMF) to the new AMF;
6) The new AMF sends Namf_ Communication RegistratioCompleteNotify to the old AMF;
7) The AMF performs UDM Selection based on SUPI.
8) The new AMF uses services such as Nudm_UECM_registration/Nudm_SDM_get/Nudm_SDM_Subscrib and the like to initiate Registration, acquire subscription data and subscribe subscription data to the UDM, and the UDM sends a response;
9) The UDM initiates Nudm_UECM_Deregistration notification to the old AMF, informs the UE to register, and the old AMF initiates Nudm_SDM_Unsubstricebe to Unsubscribe subscription data to the UDM;
10 The new AMF sends Registration Accept (5G-GUTI, registration Area) message to the UE;
11 The UE returns Registration Complete message to the AMF.
In this embodiment, when the UE performs the registration update, the RAN and the new AMF are notified that the UE is a PNI-NPN user at the same time, so that the new AMF knows that the user is a PNI-NPN user, and is used for determining whether the flow can be normally executed.
In an embodiment, the AMF detects that an error occurs in the PNI-NPN configuration update for the UE, and specifically includes:
the AMF detects that the AMF does not support the PNI-NPN function, or the AMF does not receive a notification that the UE is a PNI-NPN user.
Specifically, in this embodiment, a more specific example of the present invention is shown in fig. 4, including:
s01, the UE initiates mobility registration update, the UE informs the RAN and a new AMF that the RAN and the new AMF are PNI-NPN users when the UE registers, the UE is in a PNI-NPN cell, the old AMF is used for serving the users at the time, the old AMF supports PNI-NPN functions (supports CAG identification), after the old AMF moves out of the cell, the service AMF possibly changes, and the new AMF does not know that the users are PNI-NPN users, so the UE actively informs;
s02, after the UDM acquires the CAG subscription change about a certain UE, the UDM initiates Nudm_SDM_Notification (data subscription management service Notification) service to send PNI-NPN related information (CAG information change Notification) to a new AMF of the UE;
s03, judging whether the new AMF supports the PNI-NPN function or not, if so, executing a step S04, otherwise, executing steps S05-S06;
s04, triggering UE configuration update, and if the New AMF supports PNI-NPN function, continuing normal flow, namely executing the flow shown in figure 2, wherein the AMF in figure 2 and the whole text is equivalent to the New AMF in figure 3 and the New AMF in figure 4;
s05, the AMF executes a first zeroing operation, if the new AMF does not support the PNI-NPN function, the AMF zeroes the time mark of the own provisioningTime field, and directly returns a rejection message to the UDM, wherein the rejection message carries an error cause value (AMF non support);
s06, the UDM executes a second zeroing operation, after receiving the refusing message, the UDM zeroes the time mark of the provisioningTime field according to the refusing message, and can send configuration updating information which is not repeated any more according to the error cause value.
In an embodiment, the reject message carries an error cause value, so that the UDM does not send a new CAG information change notification to the AMF in response to acquiring, according to the reject message, that the error cause value is that the AMF does not support the PNI-NPN function.
In particular, in this embodiment 1, when the PNI-NPN user moves into the public network PLMN network, the AMF changes and the new AMF does not support the PNI-NPN function, the subscription information of the PNI-NPN user in the UDM changes, and the user is to be notified, in order to avoid wasting network resources, a solution is provided in which the UDM does not need to wait for timeout. The scheme comprises the following steps: informing RAN and new AMF that it is a PNI-NPN user when UE registers update; if the new AMF does not support the PNI-NPN function, the AMF sets the time mark of the provisioningTime field to zero and directly returns a rejection message with an error cause value (AMF non support); after receiving the rejection message, the UDM does not need to wait for the response timeout of the terminal, thereby avoiding occupying network resources for a long time.

s21, the UDM sends CAG information change notification about the UE to the AMF according to the CAG information change instruction about the UE;

s23, the UDM sets a second overtime waiting mark in the CAG information change instruction to zero according to the rejection message so as to finish waiting to receive a confirmation message sent after the UE completes PNI-NPN configuration update;
wherein PNI-NPN is a public network integrated non-public network, UDM is a unified data management function network element, UE is user equipment, CAG is a closed access group, and AMF is an access and mobility management function network element.
