Detailed Description
The following description of the embodiments of the present invention will be made clearly and completely with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which it is apparent that the embodiments described are only some embodiments of the present invention, but not all embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be made by those skilled in the art based on the embodiments of the invention without making any inventive effort, are intended to be within the scope of the invention.
It should be noted that the terms "first," "second," and the like in the description and the claims of the present invention and the above figures are used for distinguishing between similar objects and not necessarily for describing a particular sequential or chronological order. It is to be understood that the data so used may be interchanged where appropriate such that the embodiments of the invention described herein may be implemented in sequences other than those illustrated or otherwise described herein. Furthermore, the terms "comprises," "comprising," and "having," and any variations thereof, are intended to cover a non-exclusive inclusion, such that a process, method, system, article, or server that comprises a list of steps or elements is not necessarily limited to those steps or elements expressly listed or inherent to such process, method, article, or apparatus, but may include other steps or elements not expressly listed or inherent to such process, method, article, or apparatus.
The terms involved in the embodiments of the present invention are explained below.
Estimating the exposure rate: estimated probability of promotional content (e.g., advertisements) being exposed at the terminal.
Exposure: a recommended content, such as an advertisement, is seen in the terminal by the accessing object.
CDN bandwidth: the amount of data transferred from the content distribution network per unit time.
Resource preloading: the downloading of the resource into the storage system of the terminal is extracted before the resource is used.
And (3) downloading resources: and downloading multimedia resources such as pictures or videos from the storage location to a storage system of the terminal by using a network.
At present, some application programs of the terminal can request advertisements from an advertisement platform in a preset operation stage, the advertisement platform returns advertisement data of a plurality of advertisements, and the advertisement data comprises CDN download addresses of multimedia resources such as pictures, videos and the like of the advertisements. In the related art, one way is to preload all the multimedia resources in all the advertisements to be saved in the storage system of the terminal, but some advertisements may not be exposed, so that preloading the multimedia resources that are not exposed causes unnecessary consumption of resources (including network traffic resources, storage resources and CDN bandwidth resources), and in practical application, the advertisement platform needs to calculate the CDN payment cost for the operator according to the daily peak value of CDN bandwidth by the number of days per month, so that the CDN payment cost for the operator by the advertisement platform is greatly increased.
For example, when an application program starts, an advertisement request is made to an advertisement platform, the advertisement platform returns advertisement data of 5 advertisements, 3 advertisements in the 5 advertisements are exposed when the application program is started, the other two advertisements are exposed when a user clicks a certain sub-page entry in the starting page to enter the sub-page, if all multimedia resources in the 5 advertisements are preloaded, and the user exits the application program after entering the application program starting page, the two advertisements exposed in the sub-page are not exposed, so that the preloading of the multimedia resources in the two advertisements causes waste of network traffic, storage resources and CDN bandwidth resources, and increases CDN bandwidth cost of the advertisement platform. Another way in the related art is to not preload all the multimedia resources of the advertisement, but to download the corresponding multimedia resources when the advertisement is exposed, which obviously easily causes a click in the advertisement playing, resulting in loss of user experience and further affecting clicking and conversion of the advertisement.
In view of this, an embodiment of the present invention provides a resource preloading method, which determines, based on a target estimated exposure of each advertisement and preset multimedia resource downloading configuration information characterizing a corresponding relationship between the estimated exposure and the amount of the preloaded resources, the amount of the target preloaded resources corresponding to each advertisement, where the amount of the preloaded resources in the preset multimedia resource downloading configuration information and the estimated exposure form a positive correlation, and further downloads corresponding multimedia resources from a content distribution network based on the amount of the target preloaded resources corresponding to each advertisement, so as to perform more preloading on target content with a large exposure opportunity, and perform less preloading or no preloading on target content with a small exposure opportunity, so as to achieve saving resources (including network traffic resources, terminal storage resources and CDN bandwidth resources) on the premise of not affecting clicking and conversion requirements of the target content.
Referring to fig. 1, a schematic diagram of an implementation environment provided by an embodiment of the present invention is shown, where the implementation environment includes a terminal 110, a server 120, and a content delivery network CDN130, where the terminal 110 may communicate with the server 120 and the content delivery network 130 through wired or wireless network connection.
Terminal 110 includes, but is not limited to, a cell phone, a computer, an intelligent voice interaction device, an intelligent home appliance, a vehicle terminal, an aircraft, and the like. The terminal 110 is installed with client software having a content presentation function, such as an Application (App), which may be a stand-alone Application or a subroutine in the Application. In the embodiment of the invention, the content displayed by the content display function is content with popularization property, such as advertisement.
The server 120 may provide a background service for an application program in the terminal 110, and the background service may specifically provide a service for content data, where the content data may include a name identifier of a content, a description of the content, and a download address of a multimedia resource corresponding to the content, where the multimedia resource may be displayed when the content is exposed on the terminal, and the multimedia resource may include a picture, a video, and the like, and the download address of the multimedia resource indicates a storage location of the multimedia resource in the content delivery network CDN 130. By way of example, the content data may be advertisement data including advertisement titles, descriptions, picture links, video links, and the like.
The content delivery network CDN130 is a distributed server system built on the internet, and the content delivery network CDN130 may store various multimedia resources such as pictures, videos, and the like.
It should be noted that, the server in the embodiment of the present invention may be an independent physical server, or may be a server cluster or a distributed system formed by a plurality of physical servers, or may be a cloud server that provides cloud services, cloud databases, cloud computing, cloud functions, cloud storage, network services, cloud communication, middleware services, domain name services, security services, CDN (Content Delivery Network ), and basic cloud computing services such as big data and an artificial intelligence platform.
In an exemplary embodiment, the terminal 110, the server 120 and the content delivery network CDN130 may be node devices in a blockchain system, and may be capable of sharing acquired and generated information to other node devices in the blockchain system, so as to implement information sharing between multiple node devices. The plurality of node devices in the blockchain system can be configured with the same blockchain, the blockchain consists of a plurality of blocks, and the blocks adjacent to each other in front and back have an association relationship, so that the data in any block can be detected through the next block when being tampered, thereby avoiding the data in the blockchain from being tampered, and ensuring the safety and reliability of the data in the blockchain.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart illustrating a resource preloading method according to an embodiment of the present invention, which can be applied to the terminal in fig. 1. It is noted that the present specification provides method operational steps as described in the examples or flowcharts, but may include more or fewer operational steps based on conventional or non-inventive labor. The order of steps recited in the embodiments is merely one way of performing the order of steps and does not represent a unique order of execution. In actual system or product execution, the methods illustrated in the embodiments or figures may be performed sequentially or in parallel (e.g., in a parallel processor or multi-threaded processing environment). As shown in fig. 2, the method may include:
s201, obtaining content data of at least one target content returned by the server aiming at the target content obtaining request.
The content data of each target content comprises a download address of a multimedia resource corresponding to the target content, wherein the multimedia resource is used for displaying when the target content is exposed, and the download address of the multimedia resource indicates a storage position of the multimedia resource in a content distribution network.
In a specific implementation, the terminal may send, to the server, a target content acquisition request during a preset operation phase of the target application, where the target content acquisition request is used to request acquisition of target content, and the target content is content that may be exposed in a subsequent operation phase of the target application. Wherein the target application is an application with a content SDK (Software Development Kit ) built in, the content SDK can be provided by a content provider. The preset operation stage may be set according to actual needs, for example, the preset operation stage may be a start stage of the target application program, and when the target application program is started, the content SDK may be called to send a target content acquisition request to the server, where the target content acquisition request may carry identification information of the terminal, identification information of the target application program, and display location information.
After receiving the target content acquisition request, the server can extract the identification information and the display position information of the target application program in the target content acquisition request, further determine at least one matched target content based on the identification information and the display position information of the target application program, and acquire the content data of the at least one target content for return.
S203, determining the target estimated exposure rate of each target content in the at least one target content.
In practical application, the content data of each target content returned by the server includes the estimated exposure rate of the target content, the estimated exposure rate may be obtained by predicting the exposure rate by the server based on big data of the target content in a preset time period, the big data may include attribute feature information and behavior feature information of the target content, and the server may implement the exposure rate prediction by using a trained deep learning model.
Based on this, in an exemplary embodiment, as shown in fig. 3, the step S203 may include, when implemented:
s301, for each target content, obtaining estimated exposure rate from content data corresponding to the target content;
s303, determining the target estimated exposure rate of the target content based on the estimated exposure rate in the content data.
According to the embodiment, the target estimated exposure rate of the corresponding target content is determined based on the estimated exposure rate in each content data, so that the target estimated exposure rate of each target content can more accurately reflect the possibility that the corresponding target content is exposed, and the accuracy of the pre-downloaded resource amount determined based on the target estimated exposure rate in the follow-up process is improved.
In an exemplary embodiment, determining the target predicted exposure rate of the target content based on the predicted exposure rate in the content data may be to use the predicted exposure rate in the content data as the target predicted exposure rate of the corresponding target content, so that the target predicted exposure rate of each target content may be rapidly determined.
In practical applications, the advertisement demander usually places the advertisement on the advertisement platform in a bid manner, and a specific bid manner may be thousands of showing fees (eCPM, effective Cost Per Mille), that is, fees that are paid to the advertisement platform by each thousand showing advertisement demander, usually for head bidding advertisements (that is, advertisements with the eCPM arranged in front), the advertisement data returned by the server will further include eCPM or eCPM class information corresponding to the advertisement, so as to improve the accuracy of determining the amount of pre-downloaded resources corresponding to the head bidding advertisements, and in another exemplary embodiment, when determining the target estimated exposure rate of the corresponding target content based on the estimated exposure rate in the content data may include:
searching unit virtual resource consumption information in the content data;
if not, determining the estimated exposure rate in the content data as the target estimated exposure rate of the corresponding target content;
If the target estimated exposure rate is found, determining the target estimated exposure rate corresponding to the unit virtual resource consumption information in the content data based on the corresponding relation between the unit virtual resource consumption information and the estimated exposure rate, and obtaining the target estimated exposure rate of the corresponding target content.
Specifically, in the above embodiment, the preset multimedia resource download configuration information characterizes the corresponding relationship among the unit virtual resource consumption information, the estimated exposure rate, and the amount of the pre-downloaded resource, that is, the corresponding relationship can be expressed as "unit virtual resource consumption information": "estimated exposure rate": "amount of pre-download resources". When the unit virtual resource consumption information (such as eCPM or eCPM grade information) is found in the content data, the target content corresponding to the content data is indicated to be the head bidding content, and the hit unit virtual resource consumption information needs to be determined in the preset multimedia resource downloading configuration information based on the unit virtual resource consumption information in the content data at this time, so that the target estimated exposure rate in the corresponding relation to the hit unit virtual resource consumption information can be used as the target estimated exposure rate of the corresponding target content; otherwise, when the unit virtual resource consumption information is not found in the content data, the target content corresponding to the content data is not the head bidding content, and the estimated exposure rate in the content data can be directly used as the target estimated exposure rate of the corresponding target content.
In the above embodiment, considering that the possibility that the head bidding content is usually exposed is high, the terminal determines the target estimated exposure rate by adopting different modes for the head bidding content and the non-head bidding content, so that the resource downloading flexibility is improved, and meanwhile, better balance between the clicking and conversion requirements of the content (such as advertisement) and the resource saving is realized.
In consideration of different usage habits of different terminal users on the target application program, for example, some terminal users are used to the first page of the target application program to exit the application program, and other terminal users enter different sub pages to browse after browsing the first page, so that the opportunities of exposing promotion content (such as advertisements) on different terminals are different. In order to achieve a better balance between content click and conversion requirements and resource saving, in an exemplary embodiment, as shown in fig. 4, the step S203 may include, when implemented:
s401, determining the total number of the history contents in the locally cached history content data and the history exposure times of the history contents.
S403, determining the ratio of the historical exposure times to the total number, and taking the ratio as a target estimated exposure rate of each target content in the at least one target content.
Specifically, the historical content data may be the historical content data requested by the terminal last time, or the historical content data requested by the terminal in a preset historical time period, where the preset historical time period may be set according to actual needs, for example, may be one day, three days, and so on.
Taking the historical content data as the previous request historical content data as an example, assuming that the historical content data last requested by the terminal a includes content data of 5 historical contents, only 1 historical content is finally exposed (if the user of the terminal a only enters the first page of the target application program, 1 historical content is exposed on the first page), the terminal a can take 1/5 as the target estimated exposure rate of each target content in the current at least one target content; the historical content data requested last time by the terminal B also includes content data of 5 historical contents, and finally 3 historical contents are exposed (if the user of the terminal B sequentially enters a first page and two sub-pages of the target application program, 1 historical content is exposed on the first page and the two sub-pages respectively), the terminal B can take 3/5 as the target estimated exposure rate of each target content in the current at least one target content. Obviously, the possibility that the target content is exposed in the terminal B is greater than that of the terminal A, so that the larger pre-download resource amount is determined for the target content in the terminal B, the smaller pre-download resource amount is determined for the target content in the terminal A, better balance between the content clicking and conversion requirements and resource saving can be achieved, the distribution rationality of CDN bandwidth resources is improved, and the use cost of the CDN bandwidth by the content platform is reduced.
S205, determining the target pre-download resource amount matched with each target content in the preset multimedia resource download configuration information based on the target pre-estimated exposure rate of each target content.
The pre-downloading resource quantity and the pre-downloading resource quantity form a positive correlation relation, namely the larger the pre-downloading resource quantity corresponding to the pre-downloading resource quantity is, the larger the pre-downloading resource quantity is, and otherwise, the smaller the pre-downloading resource quantity is, the smaller the pre-downloading resource quantity corresponding to the pre-downloading resource quantity is, and the pre-downloading resource quantity represents the downloaded data quantity. In a specific implementation, the pre-estimated exposure rate in the preset multimedia resource downloading configuration information may be a specific value or a range of values, and the pre-downloaded resource amount may be a specific data amount value (e.g. 500 k) or a ratio (e.g. 50%) of the total data amount corresponding to the multimedia resource.
For example, the preset multimedia resource downloading configuration information may be in a key-value data format, where key is the estimated exposure rate and value is the amount of the pre-downloaded resource. For example, the value is as follows: -1 denotes full download, 0.5 denotes 50% of the downloaded video length, 0 denotes no download, other >1 values denote fixed lengths of download, such as 500 denotes 500K download, then when preset multimedia asset download configuration information is { "0.1": "0", "0.3": "0.5", "1": "1" } "denotes not preloading video when the predicted exposure ratio < = 0.1, only 50% of the video length when the predicted exposure ratio >0.1 and < = 0.3, and the full length of downloaded video when the predicted exposure ratio >0.3 and < = 1.
In the step S205, for each target content, a predicted exposure rate of the target content, which is hit in the preset multimedia resource download configuration information, is determined, and then the pre-download resource amount corresponding to the hit predicted exposure rate is used as the target pre-download resource amount of the target content, where the hit predicted exposure rate includes the target predicted exposure rate. Taking preset multimedia resource download configuration information as { "0.1": "0", "0.3": "0.5", "1": "1" } as an example, assuming that the target estimated exposure is 0.2, the estimated exposure hit in the preset multimedia resource download configuration information is "0.3", and then the amount of the pre-download resource of the corresponding target content can be determined to be 50% of the downloaded video length.
Based on this, in an exemplary embodiment, before step S201, the method may further include:
acquiring preset multimedia resource downloading configuration information from a server; the preset multimedia resource downloading configuration information is generated in response to a configuration instruction triggered based on a configuration interface, and the configuration interface comprises an estimated exposure rate input area and a corresponding pre-downloading resource amount input area.
In specific implementation, a configuration interface can be displayed through a configuration terminal associated with a server, the configuration interface comprises an estimated exposure rate input area and a corresponding pre-download resource amount input area, service personnel can input the estimated exposure rate and the corresponding pre-download resource amount in the estimated exposure rate input area and the pre-download resource amount input area respectively according to actual needs, and when configuration is determined to be completed, a configuration instruction is sent out based on triggering of a configuration completion button, the configuration instruction carries the estimated exposure rate and the corresponding pre-download resource amount, and after receiving the configuration instruction, the server generates preset multimedia resource downloading configuration information based on the estimated exposure rate and the corresponding pre-download resource amount in the configuration instruction and sends the preset multimedia resource downloading configuration information to a client such as a content SDK.
In an exemplary embodiment, to increase flexibility of resource preloading, the method may further include:
acquiring updated multimedia resource downloading configuration information issued by a server; the update multimedia resource downloading configuration information is generated in response to an update instruction triggered based on a configuration interface;
and updating the local preset multimedia resource downloading configuration information based on the updating multimedia resource downloading configuration information.
In a specific implementation, the updated estimated exposure rate and the corresponding pre-download resource amount are carried in the update instruction, the server responds to the update instruction to update the maintained preset multimedia resource download configuration information to obtain the updated multimedia resource download configuration information and sends the updated multimedia resource download configuration information to the client, such as a content SDK, so that the client can update the local preset multimedia resource download configuration information into the latest updated multimedia resource download configuration information, and the flexibility of resource preloading is greatly improved.
S207, based on the target pre-download resource amount corresponding to each target content and the download address of the multimedia resource, downloading the multimedia resource corresponding to each download address from the content distribution network.
Specifically, for each target content, the terminal downloads corresponding multimedia resources from the content delivery network CDN based on the download address and the target pre-download resource amount of the multimedia resources corresponding to the target content and stores the corresponding multimedia resources in the local storage system, so that different data amounts of the multimedia resources of different target contents are preloaded, the target content with high target pre-estimated exposure rate is preloaded with multimedia resources with more data amounts, the target content with low target pre-estimated exposure rate is preloaded with multimedia resources with less data amounts, the effect of saving resources (including network traffic resources, terminal storage resources and CDN bandwidth resources) on the premise of not influencing the clicking and converting requirements of the target content is achieved, and when the target content is an advertisement, the CDN bandwidth use cost of an advertisement platform to an operator can be reduced while the clicking and converting requirements of the advertisement are not influenced.
In an exemplary embodiment, the step S207 may be implemented in combination with a case of a multimedia resource cached in the local storage system, and may specifically include:
searching multimedia resources corresponding to each target content in a local storage system;
and if the corresponding multimedia resource is not found or found and is incomplete, downloading the corresponding multimedia resource from a content distribution network based on the downloading address of the corresponding multimedia resource and the target pre-downloading resource amount.
It can be appreciated that if a corresponding multimedia resource is found and is complete, the multimedia resource does not need to be downloaded from the CDN.
In a specific implementation, when the terminal downloads the multimedia resources of each target content from the content delivery network, the terminal searches the local storage system for the multimedia resources corresponding to each target content, if the corresponding multimedia resources are not found, the terminal can download the corresponding multimedia resources from the content delivery network, specifically, the terminal can send a download request for the corresponding multimedia resources to the CDN based on the download address of the corresponding multimedia resources, the download request carries the target pre-download resource amount, and the CDN returns the multimedia resources to the terminal based on the target pre-download resource amount, so that the terminal stores the returned multimedia resources to the local storage system.
If the terminal finds the corresponding multimedia resource in the local storage system and the corresponding multimedia resource is incomplete, the terminal can firstly determine the downloaded resource amount of the corresponding multimedia resource in the local storage system, compare the downloaded resource amount with the target pre-downloaded resource amount of the corresponding multimedia resource, if the downloaded resource amount is greater than or equal to the target pre-downloaded resource amount, the terminal does not download the multimedia resource, otherwise if the downloaded resource amount is less than the target pre-downloaded resource amount, the terminal calculates the resource difference between the target pre-downloaded resource amount and the downloaded resource amount, and then sends a downloading request to the CDN based on the downloading address of the corresponding multimedia resource, wherein the downloading request carries the resource difference, so that the CDN returns the corresponding multimedia resource to the terminal based on the resource difference.
In the above embodiment, by combining the downloading situation of the multimedia resources in the local storage system to request from the CDN, the waste of the CDN bandwidth resources can be further reduced.
In practical application, after preloading the multimedia resources of each target content based on the steps S201 to S207, if a certain target content is exposed, the terminal searches the target multimedia resources corresponding to the exposed target content from the local storage system, and if the complete target multimedia resources exist in the local storage system, the terminal displays the target multimedia resources in the local storage system; if the local storage system has incomplete target multimedia resources, the terminal plays the target multimedia resources in the local storage system and downloads the rest of the target multimedia resources from the CDN to the local storage system; if the target multimedia resource does not exist in the local storage system, the terminal is indicated to not preload the target multimedia resource, at the moment, the terminal can request the CDN to download the target multimedia resource from the beginning and store the target multimedia resource in the local storage system, and at the same time, the terminal can display the downloaded part of the target multimedia resource stored in the local storage system.
The method for preloading resources according to the embodiment of the present invention is described below with reference to fig. 5, in which content is an advertisement, and multimedia resources are videos in the advertisement, and specifically, as shown in fig. 5, the method includes:
step 1: a developer of the advertisement playing terminal configures a video downloading strategy in an advertisement background, the format is dictionary type, the key of the dictionary is estimated exposure rate, the value of the dictionary is the length of video downloading, and the value of the value is as follows: -1 represents an all-in-one download, 0.5 represents 50% of the length of the downloaded video, 0 represents no download, other >1 values represent a fixed length of the download, such as 500 represents a download 500K, configuration { "0.1": "0", "0.3": "0.5", "1": "-1" } means that when the predicted exposure ratio < = 0.1, the video is not preloaded, when the predicted exposure ratio >0.1 and < = 0.3, only 50% of the length of the video is preloaded, when the predicted exposure ratio >0.3 and < = 1, the entire length of the video is preloaded;
step 2: the playing terminal reads the video downloading configuration from the advertising background;
step 3: the playing terminal requests an advertisement from the advertisement background;
step 4: the advertising background returns the data such as the title, description, picture link, video link, estimated exposure rate and the like of the advertisement to the playing terminal;
Step 5: the playing terminal decides the downloading length of the video according to the estimated exposure rate and the video downloading configuration;
step 6: the playing terminal downloads the video from the CDN, specifically: if the local storage system has the video cache, not downloading the video; if the video cache does not exist in the local storage system, downloading the corresponding video length calculated in the step 5, and storing the downloaded video in the local storage system;
step 7: the playing terminal plays a video advertisement;
step 8: the playing terminal judges whether the video is completely downloaded or not: 8.1, if the video is downloaded completely, playing the video; 8.2, if the video is not downloaded, starting to download the video from the beginning, storing the video in a local storage system, and playing the downloaded part; and 8.3, if a part of the video is downloaded, starting to play the video, downloading the part which is not downloaded later, and storing the part in a local storage system.
