Description

Information processing device, display device, and viewing quantity analysis system
Cross Reference to Related Applications
The present application claims priority from japanese patent office, application No. 2020-192572, japanese patent application entitled "information processing apparatus, display apparatus, and viewing amount analysis system" filed on 11/19/2020, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.
Technical Field
The present application relates to an information processing apparatus, a display apparatus, and a viewing quantity analysis system.
Background
The conventional method for analyzing the television viewing amount is to count the viewing amount of each channel in a predetermined range such as the week and the time period of each specific week, and to create a viewing list arranged in the time sequence of the week and display the viewing list on a display device. With the information processing apparatus using this method, for example, a range with a large viewing amount, a range with a small viewing amount, or the like can be easily identified for each channel based on the viewing scale.
Further, in patent document 1, a data extraction system is disclosed that extracts and displays data analysis of partial data selected by a user from a database.
Here, according to the conventional information processing apparatus, for example, in order to compare and analyze the viewing amount of one channel with the viewing amount of other channels, a plurality of viewing scales are displayed in parallel on one display screen. In this case, the user reads the difference in viewing amounts of the range of interest from the viewing amounts of the plurality of channels, and performs comparative analysis of the viewing amounts of the respective channels.
However, according to the conventional information processing apparatus, when viewing schedules of a plurality of channels are displayed, since the viewing schedules of the respective channels are displayed in parallel on one display screen, it is difficult to perform efficient analysis of the association with the results of other channels.

A television receiver 1, a server 2, a display 3, a network 4, a viewing information processing unit 5, a CPU11, a HDD14, a communication control unit 21, a storage control unit 22, an input processing unit 23, an image generation unit 24, a display control unit 25, and a viewing amount analysis system 100.
Detailed Description
The information processing device, the display device, and the viewing amount analysis system according to the embodiments will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings.
(Structure of System)
Fig. 1 is a system configuration diagram of a viewing quantity analysis system 100 according to an embodiment. As shown in fig. 1, the viewing quantity analysis system 100 according to the embodiment is configured by connecting server apparatuses 2 functioning as a plurality of television receivers (TV receivers) 1 and information processing apparatuses to each other via a network 4. Each television receiver 1 includes a viewing information processing unit 5. The viewing information processing unit 5 generates viewing information including a channel number of a channel to be viewed by the television receiver 1, a viewing time counted in seconds, and the like, and transmits the viewing information to the server apparatus 2 via the network 4.
The server device 2 counts viewing information from each television receiver 1, and generates a "viewing scale" 60 (see fig. 6, etc.) indicating an average of viewing amounts (hereinafter simply referred to as "viewing amounts") corresponding to a range (region, period, time zone, etc.) designated by the user.
For example, the display device 3 such as a liquid crystal monitor device is connected to the server device 2 via a cable. The server device 2 transmits the viewing list 60 and the like to the display device 3 and displays the same. This enables efficient analysis of the viewing quantity and the like.
As shown by the broken line in fig. 1, the server device 2 and the display device 3 may be connected to each other via the network 4. In this case, a portable device such as a portable terminal device or a tablet terminal device can be used as the display device 3.
When the server device 2 and the display device 3 are connected via the network 4, the display device 3 may acquire and display the above-described viewing scale 60 generated on the server device 2 side via, for example, a Web browser (Web browser). That is, the generation process of the viewing scale 60 may be performed on the server apparatus 2 side, and displayed by the display apparatus 3. Alternatively, the server device 2 may transmit the image data of the viewing scale 60 to the display device 3, and the viewing scale 60 may be generated and displayed on the display device 3 side.
(hardware Structure and functional Structure of Server device)
Fig. 2 is a block diagram showing a hardware configuration of the server apparatus 2. As shown in fig. 2, the server device 2 includes: a CPU (Central Processing Unit), a ROM (Read Only Memory) 12, a RAM (Random Access Memory ) 13, an HDD (Hard disk Drive) 14, a communication section 15, and an input/output interface (input/output I/F) 16. The operation unit 17 such as a keyboard device and a mouse device is connected to the input/output I/F16. The display device 3 is connected to the input/output I/F16.
Viewing information collected from each television receiver 1 is stored in the HDD14. Further, an information processing program for analyzing the viewing amount is stored in the HDD14. Fig. 3 is a functional block diagram of functions realized by the CPU11 operating based on an information processing program. The CPU11 operates based on the information processing program, and functions as a communication control unit 21, a storage control unit 22, an input processing unit 23, an image generation unit 24, and a display control unit 25, as shown in fig. 3. The CPU11 functions as the communication control unit 21 to the display control unit 25, and generates the viewing scale 60 and controls the display device 3 as described later.
The communication control unit 21 collects viewing information from each television receiver 1 until analysis of the viewing amount is specified. The storage control unit 22 stores and controls viewing information collected from each television receiver 1 in the HDD14. The input processing unit 23 recognizes a specific operation of analysis of the viewing amount via the operation unit 17. The communication control unit 21 and the input processing unit 23 are examples of the acquisition unit.
The image generating unit 24 generates a viewing scale 60. More specifically, the image generating unit 24 generates an analysis screen 50 (see fig. 6, etc.) in which the acquired viewing amounts of the channels in each range in a predetermined period (week, broadcasting means, year) are displayed in a viewing amount that is displayed in a recognizable manner by at least one of size and shape, on a two-dimensional area that is represented by analysis conditions (time zone, demographics, region, viewing method) and the share of the viewing amount in the range, that is, the occupancy of the different channels. The viewing amount display can be expressed by, for example, a bubble size. The shape of the bubble size is not limited to a circular shape, but may be an elliptical shape or a polygonal shape. The shape of the bubble size may be changed in size or shape according to the viewing amount, or may be changed by combining the size and shape according to the viewing amount. Hereinafter, an example of changing the size of the bubble in the circular shape according to the viewing amount will be described.
The display control unit 25 displays the viewing scale 60 generated by the image generating unit 24 on the display device 3.
The information processing program executed by the server apparatus 2 of the present embodiment is provided by recording a file in an installable form or an executable form on a computer-readable recording medium such as a CD-ROM, a Flexible Disk (FD), and a CD-R, DVD (Digital Versatile Disk).
The information processing program executed by the server device 2 according to the present embodiment may be stored in a computer connected to a network such as the internet, and may be downloaded via the network to be provided. The information processing program executed by the server device 2 of the present embodiment may be provided or distributed via a network such as the internet. The information processing program executed by the server device 2 according to the present embodiment may be provided by being stored in advance in a ROM or the like.
(hardware structure of display device)
Fig. 4 is a block diagram showing a hardware configuration of the display device 3. As shown in fig. 4, the display device 3 includes a CPU31, a ROM32, a RAM33, a communication interface (I/F) 34, an image processing unit 35, and a display unit 36. When the display device 3 is connected to the server device 2 via the cable, the above-described viewing meter 60 provided via the cable and the interface 34 is displayed on the display unit 36. Alternatively, when the display device 3 is connected to the server device 2 via the network 4, it performs wireless communication with the server device 2 via the interface 34, and displays the viewing list 60 wirelessly transmitted from the server device 2 on the display unit 36.
(action of generating analysis Screen)
Fig. 5 is a flowchart showing a flow of the operation of generating the viewing list 60 in the server apparatus 2. The respective processes of steps S1 to S4 of the flowchart are sequentially executed by the CPU11 functioning as the communication control unit 21 to the display control unit 25 based on the information processing program.
First, the communication control unit 21 and the storage control unit 22 of the server apparatus 2 shown in fig. 3 store and control the viewing information collected from each television receiver 1 in the HDD14 until analysis of the viewing amount is specified. Thus, the HDD14 generates a database storing programs, channels, viewing times, and the like watched by the users of the television receivers 1.
Next, when analysis of the viewing amount is specified via the operation unit 17 of the server apparatus 2 shown in fig. 2, the input processing unit 23 recognizes the specified operation. Then, the image generating unit 14 generates the viewing scale 60 in step S1. The display control unit 25 controls the display of the viewing scale 60 generated by the image generating unit 14 on the display device 3 (step S1).
Fig. 6 is a diagram showing an example of the viewing scale 60 displayed by the viewing quantity analysis system 100 according to the embodiment. As shown in fig. 6, the viewing list 60 includes a parameter selection screen 40 and an analysis screen 50. In step S1, the display control unit 25 may display the analysis screen 50 that was last displayed in the previous analysis.
As shown in fig. 6, the parameter selection screen 40 includes selection fields of "region", "week", "Channel (CH)", "week", "time period", "range", "demographics", "viewing method".
Each selection field is a so-called drop-down menu, and the user operates the operation unit 17 such as a mouse device to designate a desired selection field with a cursor, thereby displaying a plurality of selectable menus.
Fig. 7 is a diagram showing an example of a pull-down menu of the parameter selection screen 40. As shown in fig. 7, for example, in a drop-down menu of "region", geographical ranges of the Guandong, the Qin, the Zhongjing, and the like are displayed. The user selects a desired geographical range for analysis of the viewing amount by operating the pull-down menu of the "region".
As a desired broadcasting period (predetermined period) for analyzing the viewing amount, a playback means or the like may be selected in addition to the week. For example, the period of 1 year, 1 month to 12 months, of today's broadcasting period is divided into 4 play units every 3 months, which are called "1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd, 4 th play units", or "winter, spring, summer, autumn play units", or "1 month, 4 months, 7 months, 10 months play units", respectively, and the like. Although not particularly shown, a desired broadcast period (predetermined period) for analyzing the viewing amount may be selected from a year unit, a month unit, a desired specified period, and the like.
In a drop down menu of "Channel (CH)", a broadcast station for analysis is selected. In the example of fig. 7, for example, 1 or more broadcast stations such as ground waves, satellite waves, and cable broadcasts, such as "a television", "B television", and "C television", are selected.
In the "demographics" drop-down menu, a user layer that is an analysis target of the viewing volume is selected. Specifically, the selection of "region whole" in which the user of the region whole is designated as the analysis target and "M1" in which the user of the male aged 20 to 34 years is designated as the analysis target can be made. Similarly, in the "demographics" drop-down menu, selection of "M2" in which a user of a male aged 35 to 49 years old is designated as an analysis target, and "M3" in which a user of a male aged 50 to 64 years old is designated as an analysis target can be made. Further, in the "demographics" drop-down menu, selection of "M4" in which a male of 65 to 74 years old is designated as an analysis target, or "F1" in which a female of 20 to 34 years old is designated as an analysis target can be made.
In the drop-down menu of "viewing method", it is possible to select "live broadcast" for designating a user viewing the broadcast program in real time as an analysis object, and "broadcast viewing" for recording the broadcast program by a recording apparatus and then designating the user to be viewed as an analysis object. In the drop-down menu of "viewing method", a user who selects both of the above-described "live broadcast (live view)" and "broadcast (broadcast view)" can be designated as the "total" of the analysis objects.
As described above, in step S1, the image generating unit 14 generates the viewing scale 60, and the display control unit 25 controls the display device 3 to display. The user operates the parameter selection screen 40 of the viewing list 60 to specify parameters such as channels to be analyzed.
Next, in step S2, the storage control unit 22 reads viewing information corresponding to the parameters such as the channel and the region, which are analyzed based on the parameter selection screen 40, from the HDD14.
Next, in step S3, the image generating unit 24 generates the analysis screen 50 of the viewing scale 60. Then, the display control unit 25 displays the viewing list 60 including the parameter selection screen 40 and the analysis screen 50 on the display device 3 (step S4). The analysis screen 50 is a bubble chart showing the viewing amount of each channel in each range in a predetermined period by the size of the dot (bubble size) in addition to the analysis condition and the occupancy (share of different channels of the viewing amount in the range). With reference to such a viewing meter 60, the user analyzes the viewing amount based on the viewing meter 60.
An example of the analysis screen 50 shown in fig. 6 is as follows: in the parameter selection screen 40, "kandong" is selected as a region, and one week from 10/month 5/day 2020 (monday) to 10/month 11/day 2020 (sunday) is designated as a period. In addition, as the statistical unit, not only week but also average of playing units, average of year, and the like are considered. Further, the example shown in fig. 6 is an example in which: in the parameter selection screen 40, "a plurality of channels (here, 3 CH)" is designated as viewing channels for analysis, "all" is designated as weeks for analysis, "all" is designated as time slots for analysis, "all" is designated as a range for analysis, "user layers as analysis targets," demographics "and" users in the region whole "are designated as analysis targets," live broadcasting "is designated as viewing methods for analysis.
The example shown in fig. 6 is an analysis screen 50 for 3 channels. As shown in fig. 6, the image generating unit 24 displays the viewing amount of each channel from the year 2020, month 5 (monday) to the year 2020, month 10, month 11 (sunday) on a two-dimensional area represented by a time zone and an occupancy (share of different channels of the viewing amount in the range) as analysis conditions by a bubble size. In the example shown in fig. 6, the vertical axis represents a time period and the horizontal axis represents an occupancy.
The image generating unit 24 displays the bubble size by differentiating the dots of the plurality of channels by color and the dots whose size varies according to the value of the viewing amount for each channel viewing amount in each range. That is, in the example shown in fig. 6, the size of the bubble size indicates the viewing amount, and the color of the bubble size indicates the channel. In this way, by visualizing the viewing amount of each channel in each range in terms of color and size, the viewing amount of each channel in each range can be intuitively estimated.
In addition, in the lower part of the parameter selection screen 40, as a general example, the relationship between the size of the bubble size and the viewing amount, and the relationship between the color of the bubble size and the channel are shown. As will be described in detail later, by operating the operation unit 17 and pointing to a desired general example of the lower portion of the parameter selection screen 40 with a cursor, the image generation unit 24 partially highlights the size of the bubble displayed on the analysis screen 50.
Further, the image generating unit 24 displays information indicating the average occupancy of a predetermined period (5 th day of the year 2020 to 11 th day of the year 2020). In the example shown in fig. 6, the average occupancy (here, 18.66%) is represented by an auxiliary line. By adding information indicating the average occupancy in this way, it is possible to find a range in which the viewing amount in one channel is different from that in other channels, and to correlate and analyze the results of other channels.
When any one of the bubble sizes displayed on the analysis screen 50 is designated by the cursor by the operation of the operation unit 17, the image generation unit 24 displays a parameter related to the viewing amount of each channel related to the designated bubble size. Here, fig. 8 is a diagram showing an example of an analysis screen 50 displayed by the viewing quantity analysis system 100. As shown in fig. 8, the image generating unit 24 pops up and displays parameters (channel, month, day, week, time zone, demographics, viewing method, viewing volume, occupancy, etc.) P related to the viewing volume of each channel related to the specified bubble size.
The image generation unit 24 can screen the range in which the bubble size is displayed. For example, in fig. 6, all weeks from the year 2020 10, month 5 (monday) to the year 2020, month 10, month 11 (sunday) are displayed, but only a single week may be displayed.
Here, fig. 9 is a diagram showing an example of an analysis screen 50 displayed by the viewing quantity analysis system 100. In the example shown in fig. 9, the analysis screen 50 shown in fig. 6 is different from the case where "monday" is designated as the week for which analysis is performed in the parameter selection screen 40. In the analysis screen 50 shown in fig. 9, the viewing amount of each channel in the year 2020, month 10 and day 5 (monday) is displayed by the bubble size in a two-dimensional area indicated by the time zone and the occupancy.
In addition, as a range in which the bubble size is displayed, screening based on a time zone, a channel, or the like can be performed in addition to the week.
When a desired channel (color) in the generalized example at the lower part of the parameter selection screen 40 is indicated by a cursor and it is determined that one channel among the plurality of channels displayed in the two-dimensional area is designated in the generalized example at the lower part of the parameter selection screen 40, the image generation unit 24 can highlight only the designated channel by displaying the bubble size indicating the viewing amount of the other channels in the two-dimensional area in a shallower manner.
Fig. 10 is a diagram showing an example of an analysis screen 50 displayed by the viewing quantity analysis system 100. The example shown in fig. 10 shows a display example in which the a television is designated in the general example at the lower part of the parameter selection screen 40. As shown in fig. 10, the image generation unit 24 may add only the channel, week, time zone, and the like related to the viewing amount to the bubble size indicating the viewing amount of the designated channel.
Fig. 11 is a diagram showing an example of an analysis screen 50 displayed by the viewing quantity analysis system 100. The example shown in fig. 11 shows a display example in which the B television is specified in the general example at the lower part of the parameter selection screen 40.
Fig. 12 is a diagram showing an example of an analysis screen 50 displayed by the viewing quantity analysis system 100. The example shown in fig. 12 is a display example in which the C television is designated in the general example at the lower part of the parameter selection screen 40.
In fig. 10 to 12, the case where the desired channel (color) is indicated in the general example of the lower part of the parameter selection screen 40 has been described, but the present application is not limited thereto. For example, when the viewing amount of a desired size is indicated in the general example of the lower part of the parameter selection screen 40, only the viewing amount of a specified size can be highlighted by displaying the bubble size indicating the viewing amount of the other size on the two-dimensional area in a shallow manner.
Further, the image generating unit 24 does not limit the analysis condition to the time zone, and may be at least one of the time zone, the demographics, the region, and the viewing method.
Here, fig. 13 is a diagram showing an example of an analysis screen 50 displayed by the viewing quantity analysis system 100. The example shown in fig. 13 shows a case where demographics are used as analysis conditions. Further, the example shown in fig. 13 is different from the parameter selection screen 40 shown in fig. 9 in that "21 points" are designated as a period of time for which analysis is performed in the parameter selection screen 40, and "demographics" which are user layers as analysis targets, and "all" users are designated as analysis targets. In the analysis screen 50 shown in fig. 13, the viewing amount of each channel at 21 points of 10 months (monday) in 2020 is displayed by the size of bubbles in a two-dimensional area shown by demographics and occupancy. In the example shown in fig. 13, the vertical axis is demographics, and the horizontal axis is occupancy. In the analysis screen 50 shown in fig. 13, the viewing amount of each channel at 21 points (monday) of 10 months 2020 is displayed in accordance with the occupancy rate in accordance with demographics of each of "family whole", "individual whole", "region whole", "M1", "M2", "M3", "M4", "F1", "F2", "F3", "F4", "T", and the like.
Here, fig. 14 is a diagram showing an example of an analysis screen 50 displayed by the viewing quantity analysis system 100. The example shown in fig. 14 shows a case where a combination of demographics and a period of time is taken as an analysis condition. The example shown in fig. 14 is different from the parameter selection screen 40 shown in fig. 13 in that "a plurality of values (19 points, 20 points, 21 points in this case)" are designated as time periods for analysis in the parameter selection screen 40. In the analysis screen 50 shown in fig. 14, the viewing amount of each channel at 21 points of 10/5/2020 (monday) is displayed by the size of bubbles in a two-dimensional area indicated by the combination of demographics and time slots, and the occupancy. In the example shown in fig. 14, the vertical axis is a combination of demographics and time periods, and the horizontal axis is occupancy. In the analysis screen 50 shown in fig. 14, the viewing amounts of the respective channels at 19, 20, and 21 points on the 10 th month and 5 th day (monday) 2020 are displayed in accordance with the occupancy rate in accordance with demographics of the respective "family whole", "individual whole", "region whole", "M1", "M2", "M3", "M4", "F1", "F2", "F3", "F4", "T", and the like.
As described above, according to the present embodiment, it is possible to find a range in which the viewing amount in one channel is different from that in other channels, and to correlate and analyze the results of other channels. Thus, according to the present embodiment, the viewing amount can be efficiently analyzed.
Such embodiments are examples and are not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure. The new embodiment can be implemented in various other modes, and various omissions, substitutions, and changes can be made without departing from the spirit of the present disclosure.
