In the related art, a reel type flexible display device is mostly a product such as a television, and a curling function is realized by using a hinge structure; the hinge structure is complex, which is not beneficial to miniaturization of products, therefore, the conventional scroll type flexible display device has the problems of poor portability and high manufacturing cost.
Based on the above-mentioned problem, this application embodiment provides a flexible display device, and this flexible display device accomodates conveniently, and the user of being convenient for carries, still can effectively reduce manufacturing cost.
The present application is described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples.
Referring to fig. 1a to fig. 2a, fig. 1a is a schematic structural diagram of a flexible display device according to a first embodiment of the present application; FIG. 1b is a cross-sectional view of the flexible display device of FIG. 1a taken along line A-A; fig. 2a is a schematic view of the structure of the flexible display device shown in fig. 1a after rotating the support plate.
The present embodiment provides a flexible display device, which may include a flexible display module 1 and a support plate 2. Wherein the flexible display module 1 may be in a rollable state or a flattened state; when the flexible display module 1 is in a flattened state, the flexible display module 1 can be electrically connected with an external power supply so that the flexible display device can enter a working state and display pictures; when the flexible display module 1 is in a curled state, the flexible display module 1 can be folded and/or curled around the support plate 2, so that the flexible display device is convenient to store and carry.
Specifically, as shown in fig. 1a, the flexible display module 1 may include a flexible display panel 11 and a plurality of support bars 12. The flexible display panel 11 may be an Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) display panel, a flexible electronic paper screen, or a tiled display panel composed of a strip sub-millimeter light emitting diode (Mini LED) display panel or a Micro light emitting diode (Micro LED) display panel.
Referring to fig. 1b, the flexible display panel 11 has a light emitting surface 110, and a plurality of support bars 12 may be fixedly disposed on a side of the flexible display panel 11 facing away from the light emitting surface 110; specifically, the supporting strips 12 may be adhered to and fixed to the flexible display panel 11 by an adhesive, and the supporting strips 12 may be made of hard materials such as stainless steel.
Wherein the plurality of support bars 12 extend along the first direction X such that the plurality of support bars 12 can support the flexible display panel 11 along the first direction X. Also, the plurality of support bars 12 may be further disposed at intervals along the second direction Y to enable the flexible display panel 11 to be folded and/or curled along the second direction Y, i.e., about a virtual axis parallel to the first direction X. For example, the flexible display panel 11 may be directly curled or directly folded, or may be folded around the support plate 2 first and then curled around the support plate 2. Wherein the second direction Y intersects the first direction X so that the flexible display panel 11 can be in a flattened state when supported simultaneously in the first direction X and the second direction Y.
As shown in fig. 1b, the support plate 2 is disposed on a side of the support bar 12 away from the flexible display panel 11 and is rotatably connected with the flexible display module 1; the support plate 2 can rotate relative to the flexible display module 1 under the action of external force. Specifically, the support plate 2 may be rotatably connected to the support bar 12 or may be rotatably connected to the flexible display panel 11; in the following embodiments of the present application, the rotary connection of the support plate 2 and the support bar 12 will be described as an example.
Referring to fig. 1a and 2a, the support plate 2 is configured to: under the action of external force, the support plate 2 can rotate to be parallel to the first direction X and also to be parallel to the second direction Y. Wherein, when the support plate 2 is parallel to the first direction X, the flexible display module 1 is in a rollable state such that the flexible display module 1 can be folded and/or rolled about an axis parallel to the first direction X. When the support plate 2 is parallel to the second direction Y, the support plate 2 supports at least part of the support bars 12 of the plurality of support bars 12 such that the flexible display module 1 is at least partially in a flattened state.
With the above arrangement, the flexible display device can make the support plate 2 support the plurality of support bars 12 by rotating the support plate 2 and intersecting the support plate 2 with the extending direction of the support bars 12, and cooperate with the plurality of support bars 12 so that the flexible display panel 11 can be kept in a flattened state and display a picture; the flexible display device can rotate the support plate 2 and be parallel to the extending direction of the support bar 12, so that the flexible display panel 11 fixedly connected with the support bar 12 can be folded and/or curled into a scroll shape around the support plate 2, and the flexible display device is convenient to store; meanwhile, compared with the traditional scroll type flexible display device with a hinge structure, the flexible display device of the scheme has a simple structure, is beneficial to miniaturization of products and is convenient for users to carry; in addition, the flexible display device can effectively reduce the manufacturing cost.
In a specific embodiment, the extending directions of the supporting strips 12 are preferably perpendicular to each other in the first direction X and the second direction Y, so as to enhance the supporting effect of the supporting board 2 on the supporting strips 12, and the flatness of the flexible display panel 11 is better when the supporting board 2 is matched with the supporting strips 12 to unfold the flexible display panel 11. The following embodiments of the present application will be described by taking the first direction X and the second direction Y as examples.
With continued reference to fig. 1a, the plurality of support bars 12 may include a first support bar 121 and a plurality of second support bars 122. The first supporting bar 121 may be disposed at a middle portion of the flexible display panel 11 along the second direction Y, and a portion of the plurality of second supporting bars 122 may be disposed at one side of the first supporting bar 121 along the second direction Y, and another portion may be disposed at the other side of the first supporting bar 121 along the second direction Y. That is, the plurality of second supporting bars 122 may be distributed on both sides of the first supporting bar 121, and the supporting plate 2 is rotatably connected with the first supporting bar 121, so that the supporting plate 2 can support the flexible display module 1 as much as possible when the supporting plate 2 rotates to be parallel to the second direction Y.
It will be appreciated that the support plate 2 needs to be of a length to provide sufficient support for the flexible display module 1 to allow the flexible display module 1 to be in a flattened state when the support plate 2 is rotated to be parallel to the second direction Y. Therefore, when the support plate 2 rotates to be parallel to the second direction Y, the first support bar 121 is located at the middle position of the flexible display module 1, so that the support plate 2 can support the flexible display module 1 as much as possible, and the length of the support plate 2 can be set as small as possible, so as to be convenient for a user to carry. In addition, the risk of mechanical damage to the flexible display module 1 caused by the external environment can be reduced.
In some embodiments, the plurality of second supporting bars 122 may also be symmetrically disposed on opposite sides of the first supporting bar 121 along the second direction Y, so as to ensure that the supporting board 2 can provide sufficient support for the flexible display module 1, and further reduce the length of the supporting board 2, and enhance portability of the flexible display device. Specifically, the midpoint of the support plate 2 may be rotatably connected with the midpoint of the first support bar 121 through the rotation shaft 3, so that the length of the support plate 2 is further reduced while the support plate 2 can provide sufficient support for the flexible display module 1, and portability of the flexible display device is enhanced. Specifically, as shown in fig. 1b, the rotating shaft 3 may be disposed between the first supporting bar 121 and the supporting plate 2.
Of course, in other embodiments, the support plate 2 may be magnetically connected to the first support bar 121. In other embodiments, the first supporting bar 121 may also be disposed on one side of the flexible display panel 11, and the plurality of second supporting bars 122 are disposed on the same side of the first supporting bar 121.
As shown in fig. 2a, in a specific embodiment, the first supporting bar 121 may further have a first limiting mechanism 1211, where the first limiting mechanism 1211 is disposed on a surface of the first supporting bar 121 facing the supporting plate 2; correspondingly, the supporting plate 2 is provided with a second limiting mechanism (not shown), and the second limiting mechanism is arranged on the surface of one side of the supporting plate 2 facing the flexible display module 1. Referring to fig. 1a, when the support plate 2 is parallel to the first direction X, the support plate 2 and the first support bar 121 may be connected by the first limiting mechanism 1211 and the second limiting mechanism in a limiting manner, so as to fix the relative positions of the support plate 2 and the flexible display module 1 along the circumferential direction of the flexible display module 1, thereby avoiding occurrence of a situation that the support plate 2 is erroneously touched to rotate when the flexible display module 1 is curled on the support plate 2, affecting the user experience and even causing damage to the flexible display panel 11.
In this embodiment, the first limiting mechanism 1211 may be a slot, and the second limiting mechanism may be a bump; of course, in other embodiments, the first stop mechanism 1211 may be a bump, and the second stop mechanism may be a slot. It will be appreciated that in other embodiments, the first and second limiting mechanisms 1211 and 1211 may be magnetic attraction members to fix the relative positions of the support plate 2 and the flexible display module 1 along the circumferential direction.
Further, the number of the first limiting mechanisms 1211 may be two, as shown in fig. 2a, and the two first limiting mechanisms 1211 are respectively located at two opposite ends of the first supporting bar 121 along the first direction; the number of the second limiting mechanisms is two, and the second limiting mechanisms are respectively positioned at two opposite ends of the supporting plate 2 along the length direction of the supporting plate. Referring to fig. 1a, when the support plate 2 is parallel to the first direction X, the two first limiting mechanisms 1211 are respectively engaged with the two second limiting mechanisms, so that the support plate 2 is in limited connection with the first support bar 121, and the relative positions of the support plate 2 and the flexible display module 1 along the circumferential direction are further fixed.
As shown in fig. 1a, further, the second supporting bar 122 may further have a third limiting mechanism 1221, where the third limiting mechanism 1221 is disposed on a surface of the second supporting bar 122 facing the supporting plate 2. Referring to fig. 2a, when the support plate 2 is parallel to the second direction Y, the support plate 2 and the second support bar 122 may be connected by the third limiting mechanism 1221 and the second limiting mechanism in a limiting manner, so as to fix the relative positions of the support plate 2 and the flexible display module 1 along the circumferential direction of the flexible display module 1, thereby avoiding the situation that the support plate 2 is erroneously touched to rotate, resulting in the flexible display module 1 being switched from the flattened state to the curled state, and affecting the user experience.
Further, the number of the third limiting mechanisms 1221 may be two, as shown in fig. 1a, two third limiting mechanisms 1221 are respectively located on two second supporting bars 122 located farthest from the first supporting bar 121 on two opposite sides of the first supporting bar 121, and each third limiting mechanism 1221 may be located at a midpoint of the second supporting bar 122. Referring to fig. 2a, when the support plate 2 is parallel to the second direction Y, the two third limiting mechanisms 1221 are respectively engaged with the two second limiting mechanisms, so that the support plate 2 is in limited connection with the second support bar 122, and the relative positions of the support plate 2 and the flexible display module 1 along the circumferential direction are further fixed.
With continued reference to fig. 1a, in this embodiment, the support plate 2 may be configured to: when the support plate 2 is parallel to the first direction X, the length of the support plate 2 is equal to the dimension of the flexible display module 1 along the first direction X, so that when the flexible display module 1 is curled on the support plate 2 around the axis parallel to the first direction X, the support plate 2 is prevented from exceeding the flexible display panel 11 along the first direction X, which is not beneficial to carrying and affects the use experience of users. Specifically, the length of the support plate 2 is less than or equal to the length of the first support bar 121, where the length of the first support bar 121 is the dimension of the first support bar 121 along the first direction X; preferably, the length of the first support bar 121 is equal to or less than the dimension of the flexible display panel 11 in the first direction X to avoid adverse effects on portability of the flexible display device.
As shown in fig. 2a, the support plate 2 may also be configured to: when the support plate 2 is parallel to the second direction Y, the support plate 2 supports all the support bars 12, so that the flexible display module 1 is in a flattened state as a whole, so that the flatness of the flexible display panel 11 can be optimized. Specifically, the length of the support plate 2 is greater than or equal to the dimension of the flexible display module 1 along the second direction Y, so as to ensure that the support plate 2 can support all the support bars 12 along the second direction Y.
Further, in an embodiment, the dimension of the flexible display module 1 along the first direction X is greater than the dimension of the flexible display module 1 along the second direction Y, so that when the flexible display module 1 is in a flattened state, the flexible display panel 11 has a good aspect ratio, the integrity of the display of the picture is enhanced, and the sensory experience of the user is improved.
It will be appreciated that in the case where the dimension of the flexible display module 1 in the first direction X is greater than the dimension of the flexible display module 1 in the second direction Y, when the support plate 2 is parallel to the second direction Y, the length of the support plate 2 is greater than the dimension of the flexible display module 1 in the second direction Y. That is, when the flexible display module 1 is in the flattened state, the support plate 2 exceeds the flexible display module 1, which affects the user experience.
Thus, the support plate 2 may preferably be adjustable in length; when the support plate 2 is parallel to the first direction X, the length of the support plate 2 may be adjusted to fit the dimension of the flexible display panel 11 along the first direction X; and when the support plate 2 is parallel to the second direction Y, the length of the support plate 2 can also be adjusted to be matched with the dimension of the flexible display panel 11 along the second direction Y, so as to avoid affecting the user experience. In a specific embodiment, the support plate 2 may be a telescopic support plate or a foldable support plate to achieve the length adjustability.
Further, as shown in fig. 2b, fig. 2b is a schematic structural diagram of a flexible display device according to a second embodiment of the present application. In this embodiment, the size of the flexible display module 1 along the second direction Y is far greater than the size of the flexible display module 1 along the first direction X, so that when the flexible display module 1 is in a flattened state, the flexible display panel 11 has a larger area and a good aspect ratio, the display integrity of the picture is enhanced, and the sensory experience of the user is improved.
It will be appreciated that in the case where the dimension of the flexible display module 1 in the second direction Y is much larger than the dimension of the flexible display module 1 in the first direction X, when the support plate 2 is parallel to the second direction Y, the length of the support plate 2 is much smaller than the dimension of the flexible display module 1 in the second direction Y. That is, the support plate 2 cannot directly support all the support bars 12 when the flexible display module 1 is in the flattened state.
In a specific embodiment, as shown in fig. 2b, the support plate 2 may be a telescopic support plate, and each section of the support plate 2 extends along the second direction Y, i.e. one support bar 12 is supported more, so as to realize the length adjustment of the support plate 2. Of course, in other embodiments, the support plate 2 may be provided as a foldable support plate, as long as the length adjustment is enabled.
Further, in some embodiments, each second support bar 122 has a third stop mechanism 1221, the support plate 2 has a second stop mechanism, and each third stop mechanism 1221 may be located at a midpoint of the corresponding second support bar 122.
