While certain embodiments of the present disclosure have been illustrated in the accompanying drawings, it is to be understood that the present disclosure may be embodied in various forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein, but rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will be more thorough and complete. It should be understood that the drawings and embodiments of the present disclosure are for illustration purposes only and are not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure.
It should be noted that any section/subsection headings provided herein are not limiting. Various embodiments are described throughout this document, and any type of embodiment may be included under any section/subsection. Furthermore, the embodiments described in any section/subsection may be combined in any manner with any other embodiment described in the same section/subsection and/or in a different section/subsection.
In describing embodiments of the present disclosure, the term "comprising" and its like should be taken to be open-ended, i.e., including, but not limited to. The term "based on" should be understood as "based at least in part on". The term "one embodiment" or "the embodiment" should be understood as "at least one embodiment". The term "some embodiments" should be understood as "at least some embodiments". Other explicit and implicit definitions are also possible below. The terms "first," "second," and the like, may refer to different or the same object. Other explicit and implicit definitions are also possible below.
Embodiments of the present disclosure may relate to user data, the acquisition and/or use of data, and the like. These aspects all follow corresponding legal and related regulations. In embodiments of the present disclosure, all data collection, acquisition, processing, forwarding, use, etc. is performed with knowledge and confirmation by the user. Accordingly, in implementing the embodiments of the present disclosure, the user should be informed of the type of data or information, the range of use, the use scenario, etc. that may be involved and obtain the authorization of the user in an appropriate manner according to the relevant laws and regulations. The particular manner of notification and/or authorization may vary depending on the actual situation and application scenario, and the scope of the present disclosure is not limited in this respect.
In the present description and embodiments, if the personal information processing is concerned, the processing is performed on the premise of having a validity base (for example, obtaining agreement of the personal information body, or being necessary for executing a contract, etc.), and the processing is performed only within a prescribed or contracted range. The user refuses to process the personal information except the necessary information of the basic function, and the basic function is not influenced by the user.
As mentioned briefly above, various types of media content have become one of the main ways people acquire content. Many applications attract users by presenting a wide variety of media content. Taking media content as video content for example, some applications can recommend a video stream for a user, where the video stream includes multiple videos. The user can switch the video displayed on the current interface of the application program through operations such as sliding the interface of the application program. When the user is not interested in the video content recommended by the application program, the user can trigger the operation application program to exit the application program.
When a user triggers an exit from an application, the application may present a reminder regarding whether to determine to exit the application, according to some conventional schemes. In addition, some schemes can send a request to the server for requesting to refresh the video content displayed by the current interface, and further arouse the interest of the user through the new video content.
However, this approach requires a request server, and the video content is refreshed slowly, which can cause a user to have significant latency, and even if the content is updated, the user experience is poor. And, refreshing the displayed video content may be a promotional content, such as an advertising content or a marketing content. In this way, the user experience may be further reduced, causing the user to exit the application.
To this end, embodiments of the present disclosure propose an interaction scheme. According to this scheme, upon receiving a request from a user to exit a target application (the current page of the target application presents first media content), second media content may be determined from a cached content set based on media type information (for indicating whether the corresponding media content is promotional content) of the cached content set associated with the current page, wherein the second media content is non-promotional content. The current page of the target application may then be switched to present the second media content.
Therefore, the displayed media content can be updated immediately under the condition that the user triggers the scene of exiting the target application. In this process, a request server is not required, and the waiting time of the user can be reduced. And, based on the cache content set associated with the current page, the media type information of the media content ensures that the updated and displayed media content is necessarily non-popularization content, and the user experience can be improved. In this way, the user viscosity of the application may be increased.
Various example implementations of the scheme are described in further detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
Example Environment
FIG. 1 illustrates a schematic diagram of an example environment 100 in which embodiments of the present disclosure may be implemented. As shown in fig. 1, an example environment 100 may include a terminal device 110.
In this example environment 100, an application 120 is installed in a terminal device 110. The user 140 may interact with the application 120 via the terminal device 110 and/or its attached device. The application 120 may be a social application, a content sharing application, etc., or any other suitable application.
In the environment 100 of fig. 1, if the application 120 is in an active state, the application 120 may provide services such as creation or playback of media content to the user 140.
In addition, terminal device 110 may present interface 150 of application 120. The content presented by the interface 150 also changes depending on the particular service provided, the user's interaction/preset actions, etc.
In some embodiments, terminal device 110 communicates with server 130 to enable provisioning of services for application 120. The terminal device 110 may be any type of mobile terminal, fixed terminal, or portable terminal, including a mobile handset, desktop computer, laptop computer, notebook computer, netbook computer, tablet computer, media computer, multimedia tablet, personal Communication System (PCS) device, personal navigation device, personal Digital Assistant (PDA), audio/video player, digital camera/camcorder, positioning device, television receiver, radio broadcast receiver, electronic book device, game device, or any combination of the preceding, including accessories and peripherals for these devices, or any combination thereof. In some embodiments, terminal device 110 is also capable of supporting any type of interface to the user (such as "wearable" circuitry, etc.).
The server 130 may be an independent physical server, a server cluster or a distributed system formed by a plurality of physical servers, or a cloud server providing cloud services, cloud databases, cloud computing, cloud functions, cloud storage, network services, cloud communication, middleware services, domain name services, security services, a content distribution network, basic cloud computing services such as big data and an artificial intelligence platform. A communication connection may be established between the server 130 and the terminal device 110. The communication connection may be established by wired means or wireless means. The communication connection may include, but is not limited to, a bluetooth connection, a mobile network connection, a universal serial bus connection, a wireless fidelity connection, etc., as embodiments of the disclosure are not limited in this respect. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the server 130 and the terminal device 110 may implement signaling interaction through a communication connection therebetween.
It should be understood that the structure and function of the various elements in environment 100 are described for illustrative purposes only and are not meant to suggest any limitation as to the scope of the disclosure.
Example interface
The following describes an interactive process and an interactive interface in the process of playing video by using media content as video content. It should be appreciated that the media content may also include other suitable media content such as picture content, audio content, and the like.
Fig. 2A illustrates a schematic diagram of an example of a play interface 200A, according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in fig. 2A, while the application 120 is in a running state, the terminal device 110 may present a playback interface 200A corresponding to the video content 210. In some embodiments, responsive to the application 120 being in a running state, the terminal device 110 may present the playback interface 200A of the video content 210 by default. In some embodiments, terminal device 110 may also provide a playback interface 200A as shown in fig. 2A upon receiving an access request for video content 210 while application 120 is in a running state. It should be appreciated that the video content 210 and the playback interface 200A may be of any suitable style, and the present disclosure is not intended to be limited to a particular style of video content and playback interface.
In some embodiments, at least one operational control is also included in the playback interface 200A. The at least one operational control includes, but is not limited to, a user's identification control (e.g., user avatar, user name), a praise control, a collection control, a share control, a comment control, a progress bar control, and the like. Illustratively, a user may perform operations on a progress bar control at the playback interface 200A to control the playback progress of the video content 210.
In some embodiments, the user performs a preset operation, such as sliding left, sliding right, etc., on the playing interface 200A to switch the playing interface to play different video contents.
In some embodiments, the user may trigger a request to exit the application 120 during playback of the video content 210 by the playback interface 200A.
The request to trigger exit of the application 120 may be an operation of the application 120 that is performed by the user at the playback interface 200A. For example: a particular gesture by the user in the play interface 200A, such as a gesture that slides in a particular direction along an edge of the play interface. The request to trigger exiting the application 120 may also be a user clicking a preset physical key, a user clicking a preset virtual key displayed in a display screen of the terminal device 110, etc. Embodiments of the present disclosure are not limited to implementations that trigger a request to exit the application 120.
In some embodiments of the present disclosure, in order for the user to continue to stay with the application 120, the terminal device 110 may switch to presenting new video content in response to receiving a request from the user to exit the application 120. Such new video content may be cached video content and the updated video content is non-promotional content.
In some implementations, promotional content may include media content associated with a particular promotional objective. For example, promotional content may include media content associated with an advertising service and/or media content associated with a marketing service.
As an example, fig. 2B shows an updated playback interface 200B. The video content 220 presented by the playback interface 200B is different from the video content 210 presented by the playback interface 200A. And the video content 220 is non-promotional content.
For ease of description, in some embodiments of the present disclosure, the playback interface 200A may be described as a first playback interface, and the video content 210 presented by the playback interface 200A may be described as first video content; the playback interface 200B is described as a second playback interface. The video content 220 presented by the playback interface 200B is described as second video content.
In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the terminal device 110 does not need to request a server in updating the playback interface to present the video content 220, but rather determines the video content 220 from the cached content set. Therefore, in the process, the refreshed interface can be immediately presented for the user, the waiting time of the user is reduced, and the user experience is improved. In some embodiments, the content in the cached set of cached content may include media content that has not yet been presented to the user.
In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the terminal device 110 selects video content 220 of a type that is non-promotional content based on media type information of the cached content set. The media type information may, for example, indicate whether the corresponding video content of the cached content set is promotional content. For example, media types in the cached content set may be categorized, for example, as to whether it is promotional content.
In some embodiments, the terminal device 110 may trigger the switch to the video content 220 only when the first playing interface that the user currently requests to exit is a page of the target service provided by the application 120. Taking fig. 2A as an example, the terminal device 110 may trigger presentation of the media content 220 when the first playing interface that the user currently requests to exit is a page corresponding to the "recommended" service. In contrast, if the playback interface that the user requested to exit at the present time corresponds to the "attention" service, the terminal device 110 may not perform presentation of the buffered video, for example.
In some implementations, the terminal device 110 can determine a cached content set corresponding to the first playback interface. The cached content set may comprise, for example, a set of cached media content, and accordingly, terminal device 110 may determine video content 220 having the highest presentation priority and being non-promotional content from the set of cached media content based on the presentation priority of the set of cached media content. Such a priority may, for example, indicate an order in which the cached media content is to be presented to the current user, which may be determined, for example, based on information such as the type of media content.
In some embodiments, the media content in the cached content set with the highest presentation priority may be, for example, targeted promotional content. In this case, the terminal device 110 will not switch to presenting the target promotional content and may remove the target promotional content from the cached content set.
In some embodiments, if the removed cached content set does not include promotional content, the terminal device 110 may further augment the cached content set. For example, the terminal device 110 may load at least one promotional content from a server into the cached content set.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 2B, in response to receiving a request from a user to exit the application 120, the terminal device 110 may present a prompt message 221 such as "exit again". Accordingly, if a user trigger to exit the application 120 is further received in the playback interface 200B, the terminal device 110 may exit the application 120 accordingly.
In some scenarios, the user may, for example, choose to continue browsing media content instead of exiting application 120. Accordingly, the user may switch the media content presented in the playback interface 200B. Specifically, if a preset switching operation of the user in the playback interface 200B is received, the terminal device 110 may switch to presenting the third media content in the cached content set based on the presentation priority of the cached content set.
As an example, fig. 2C shows a new play interface 200C displayed by the terminal device 110 after the user performs a preset operation of switching the play interface in the play interface 200B. Terminal device 110 may present video content 230 in playback interface 200C.
As an example, upon receiving a switching operation (e.g., a slide up) in the playback interface 200B, the terminal device 110 may determine media content (e.g., video content 230) having the highest priority from the cached content set for presentation. Upon receiving a further up-slide operation by the user, the terminal device 110 may select the next highest priority media content from the cached content set that has not yet been presented, and present it.
Therefore, the embodiment of the disclosure can update the displayed media content immediately under the condition that the user triggers the scene of exiting the target application. In this process, a request server is not required, and the waiting time of the user can be reduced. And, based on the cache content set associated with the current page, the media type information of the media content ensures that the updated and displayed media content is necessarily non-popularization content, and the user experience can be improved.
