Before describing the specific embodiments of the present disclosure in detail, an application scenario of the present disclosure will be described first. Currently, color gamut standards for displays include a plurality of, for example: sRGB, adobe RGB, DCI-P3, NTSC, etc. sRGB is widely used in displays, printers and the internet, is currently the most commonly used color gamut standard, adobe RGB is a commonly used standard for professional color imaging and publishing, DCI-P3 is widely used in the fields of television systems and home theatres, and NTSC is a color gamut made by the national television standards committee. Although the color gamut standard can unify the color gamuts of the display devices, the display devices still have color display errors when the same image is displayed on different display devices due to hardware loss or hardware difference caused by hardware instability. In the related art, in order to improve the consistency of the display device, the color of the display device needs to be calibrated, and based on this, how to calibrate the color of the display device is a problem to be solved.
In order to overcome the technical problems in the related art, the present disclosure provides a color calibration method, a device, a storage medium and a display device, which determine calibration data according to a display error of the display device, determine target calibration data of the calibration data in a target color gamut, and determine different target calibration data based on different target color gamuts, so that an accuracy of a color calibration file generated according to the target calibration data is higher, and thus, after calibrating a color of the display device according to the color calibration file, an accuracy of color display of the display device is improved.
The present disclosure is described below in connection with specific embodiments.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a color calibration method according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, which is applied to a display device, which may include a mobile device, such as a smart phone, a smart wearable device, a smart tablet, a personal computer, etc., as illustrated in fig. 1, and which may include:
s101, acquiring a plurality of preset RGB data.
The plurality of preset RGB data may be initial RGB data in a preset color lookup Table, which may be input data of a 3D LUT (Look Up Table), for example.
Note that, the plurality of preset RGB data may be all input data of the 3D LUT, or may be some data to be calibrated in the input data of the 3D LUT, which is not limited in this disclosure.
S102, for each preset RGB data, determining a display error when the display device displays the preset RGB data, determining calibration data corresponding to the preset RGB data according to the display error and the preset RGB data, and determining target calibration data of the calibration data in a target color gamut.
In the step, after a plurality of preset RGB data are acquired, for each preset RGB data, an image corresponding to the preset RGB data can be displayed through the display device, and under the condition that the display device displays the image according to the preset RGB data, tristimulus values corresponding to the preset RGB data are acquired; determining RGB tristimulus values of the tristimulus values in an RGB color space; and determining a display error of the display device when the display device displays the preset RGB data according to the preset RGB data and the RGB tristimulus values. And finally, a conversion matrix for converting the target color gamut into the original color gamut corresponding to the display device can be obtained, and the target calibration data is determined according to the conversion matrix and the calibration data.
S103, generating a color calibration file corresponding to the display device according to a plurality of preset RGB data and a plurality of target calibration data.
In this step, after determining the target calibration data corresponding to each preset RGB data, an association relationship between a plurality of preset RGB data and a plurality of target calibration data may be established, so as to obtain a color calibration file corresponding to the display device. For example, if the color calibration file is a 3D LUT, a plurality of preset RGB data may be used as input data of the 3D LUT, and a plurality of target calibration data may be used as output data of the 3D LUT.
S104, calibrating the color displayed by the display device according to the color calibration file.
In this step, after the color calibration file corresponding to the display device is generated, the color of the display device may be calibrated according to the color calibration file. For example, if the color calibration file is a 3D LUT, after inputting the input data of the 3D LUT to the display device, the display device displays according to the output data corresponding to the input data in the 3D LUT.
By adopting the method, the calibration data is determined according to the display error of the display device, the target calibration data of the calibration data in the target color gamut is determined, and different target calibration data can be determined based on different target color gamuts, so that the accuracy of the color calibration file generated according to the target calibration data is higher, and the accuracy of the color display of the display device is improved after the color of the display device is calibrated according to the color calibration file.
FIG. 2 is a flow chart of another color calibration method, as shown in FIG. 2, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, which may include:
s201, acquiring a plurality of preset RGB data.
The plurality of preset RGB data may be initial RGB data in a preset color lookup table, which may be a 3D LUT, for example, and the initial RGB data may be input data of the 3D LUT. If the 3D LUT includes 17 x 17 segments, each node corresponds to a predetermined RGB data, the number of preset RGB data is 17 x 17.
After a plurality of preset RGB data are acquired, steps S202 to S208 are performed for each preset RGB data.
S202, under the condition that the display equipment displays an image according to the preset RGB data, collecting tristimulus values corresponding to the preset RGB data.
In this step, the image corresponding to the preset RGB data may be displayed by the display device, the tristimulus values X, Y, Z of the center point of the display device are collected, taking the 3D LUT in step S201 as an example, for each 3D LUT node, tristimulus values of the display device when displaying preset RGB data corresponding to the 3D LUT node can be collected, finally, 17 x 17 tristimulus values are obtained.
S203, determining RGB tristimulus values of the tristimulus values in an RGB color space.
In this step, after the tristimulus values corresponding to the preset RGB data are collected, a first solid-color tristimulus value when the display device displays a white image, a red image, a green image and a blue image respectively may be collected, a first conversion matrix from an XYZ color space to an RGB color space is determined according to the first solid-color tristimulus value by a related-art method, and then a product of the tristimulus value and the first conversion matrix may be calculated, and the product may be used as an RGB tristimulus value of the tristimulus value in the RGB color space.
It should be noted that, the present disclosure may also determine the first conversion matrix from the XYZ color space to the RGB color space in advance, and may directly obtain the first conversion matrix after collecting the tristimulus values corresponding to the preset RGB data, which is not limited in the present disclosure.
S204, performing nonlinear processing on the preset RGB data to obtain nonlinear RGB data corresponding to the preset RGB data.
In this step, considering that the tristimulus values collected from the display device are nonlinear data, that is, the relationship between the brightness and gray level of the tristimulus values is nonlinear, and the plurality of preset RGB data are linear, taking the input data of the preset RGB data as a 3D LUT as an example, since the nodes of the 3D LUT are uniformly distributed, the plurality of preset RGB data are also uniformly distributed.
In order to facilitate the processing of the preset RGB data and the tristimulus values in the same space, the preset RGB data may be subjected to nonlinear processing, for example, gamma conversion may be performed on the preset RGB data by a related art method, so as to obtain nonlinear RGB data corresponding to the preset RGB data.
S205, taking the difference between the RGB tristimulus values and the nonlinear RGB data as a display error.
In this step, the preset RGB data may be used as ideal RGB data, the RGB tristimulus values are RGB data actually displayed by the display device, and after the nonlinear RGB data corresponding to the preset RGB data is obtained, a difference between the nonlinear RGB data and the RGB tristimulus values may be calculated, where the difference is a display error when the display device displays the preset RGB data. Illustratively, the display error may be calculated by the following formula:
Δ=RGB tristimulus value -RGB Nonlinear characteristics (1)
Wherein delta is the display error, RGB Nonlinear characteristics For the nonlinear RGB data, RGB Tristimulus value Is the RGB tristimulus value.
S206, taking the sum value of the nonlinear RGB data and the display error as calibration data corresponding to the preset RGB data.
In this step, after determining a display error when the display device displays the preset RGB data, a difference between the preset RGB data and the display error may be calculated, and the difference may be used as calibration data corresponding to the preset RGB data. Illustratively, this calibration data may be calculated by the following formula:
RGB calibration data =RGB Nonlinear characteristics -Δ (2)
Wherein RGB Calibration data And the calibration data corresponding to the preset RGB data.
After combining the formula (2) with the formula (1), the formula (3) can be obtained:
RGB calibration data =RGB Nonlinear characteristics -(RGB Tristimulus value -RGB Nonlinear characteristics ) (3)
=2RGB Nonlinear characteristics -RGB Tristimulus value
S207, determining a conversion matrix for converting the target color gamut into the original color gamut corresponding to the display device.
The target color gamut may be a preset color gamut that the display device is expected to be capable of displaying, which is not limited by the present disclosure.
In this step, a second solid-color tristimulus value corresponding to the white image, the red image, the green image and the blue image in the target color gamut may be obtained first, a second conversion matrix from the RGB color space to the XYZ color space under the target color gamut may be determined according to the second solid-color tristimulus value by a related-art method, then a third conversion matrix from the XYZ color space to the RGB color space under the native color gamut corresponding to the display device may be determined according to the first solid-color tristimulus value by a related-art method, and finally, a product of the second conversion matrix and the third conversion matrix may be used as a conversion matrix for converting the target color gamut to the native color gamut corresponding to the display device.
It should be noted that, a conversion matrix for converting the target color gamut into the native color gamut corresponding to the display device may also be predetermined, where the conversion matrix may be directly obtained.
S208, taking the product of the calibration data and the conversion matrix as the target calibration data.
Through the above steps S202 to S208, target calibration data corresponding to each preset RGB data can be obtained.
S209, performing linear processing on the target calibration data aiming at each target calibration data to obtain target linear calibration data corresponding to the target calibration data.
In this step, the target calibration data obtained by performing the nonlinear processing on the preset RGB data in step S204 is also nonlinear, and based on this, linear processing may be performed on each target calibration data to obtain target linear calibration data corresponding to the target calibration data. For example, in the case of performing gamma transformation on the preset RGB data in step S204, inverse gamma transformation may be performed on the target calibration data to obtain target linear calibration data corresponding to the target calibration data.
S210, generating a color calibration file corresponding to the display device according to a plurality of preset RGB data and a plurality of target linear calibration data.
In this step, an association relationship between a plurality of preset RGB data and a plurality of target calibration data may be established, so as to obtain a color calibration file corresponding to the display device. For example, if the color calibration file is a 3D LUT, a plurality of preset RGB data may be used as input data of the 3D LUT, and a plurality of target calibration data may be used as output data of the 3D LUT.
S211, calibrating the color displayed by the display device according to the color calibration file.
In addition, since the obtained tristimulus values of the display device are nonlinear data, the calibration data determined based on the tristimulus values can further improve the accuracy of the color calibration of the low gray scale region, and the target color gamut can be any color gamut set by a user, thereby improving the portability of the method.
