Detailed Description
Reference will now be made in detail to the exemplary embodiments, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. When the following description refers to the accompanying drawings, like numbers in different drawings represent the same or similar elements unless otherwise indicated. The implementations described in the exemplary embodiments below are not intended to represent all implementations consistent with the present disclosure. Rather, they are merely examples of apparatus and methods consistent with certain aspects of the present disclosure, as detailed in the appended claims.
Fig. 1A is a schematic diagram illustrating a display control method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The display control method shown in this embodiment may be applied to a display panel, where the display panel may be a liquid crystal display panel or an organic light emitting diode display panel, and the display panel includes a plurality of display regions, and the method includes:
in step S1, it is determined whether or not the plurality of display regions satisfy a display parameter adjustment condition;
in step S2, when the plurality of display regions satisfy the display parameter adjustment condition, a display parameter adjustment is performed on at least one of the plurality of display regions.
In an embodiment, for a display panel including a plurality of display regions, it may be determined whether the plurality of display regions satisfy a display parameter adjustment condition, and when the plurality of display regions satisfy the display parameter adjustment condition, perform display parameter adjustment on at least one of the plurality of display regions, so that the plurality of display regions have the same display parameters when performing display based on the same display information, thereby ensuring that the brightness of the display image of the display panel is uniform, and achieving a good display effect.
Optionally, the determining whether the plurality of display areas satisfy the display parameter adjustment condition includes:
judging whether the display parameters of the display areas are different from those of other display areas in the plurality of display areas, and if the display parameters of the display areas are different from those of the other display areas, confirming that the display areas meet the display parameter adjustment conditions; or
And judging whether the display parameters of a display area (such as a first display area in the following embodiment) arranged above the image acquisition equipment are different from those of other display areas (such as a second display area in the following embodiment) in the plurality of display areas, and if the display parameters of the display area arranged above the image acquisition equipment are different from those of the other display areas, confirming that the plurality of display areas meet the display parameter adjustment condition.
In one embodiment, when the display parameters of the display areas in the plurality of display areas are different from those of the other display areas, which indicates that the display areas have uneven display brightness, it is determined that the plurality of display areas satisfy the display parameter adjustment condition, so as to perform adjustment to improve the display effect of the display panel.
Optionally, the first display area and the second display area have different transmittances, and the determining whether the display parameter of one of the display areas is different from the display parameter of the other display area includes:
and if a first display unit exists in the first display area and a second display unit exists in the second display area, wherein the first display unit and the second display unit display different display parameters according to the same display signal, and the display areas are confirmed to meet the display parameter adjustment condition.
In one embodiment, the same display signal, such as the same current, voltage, etc. signal, may be input to each display unit (e.g. pixel, sub-pixel) of the first display region and the second display region, and since the display signals are the same, ideally, the display parameters displayed by all the display units according to the display signals should be the same.
However, for some reason, for example, in order to make the transmittance of the first display region larger than that of the second display region, the structure of the first display region is improved, so that the display parameters of the display unit in the first display region are different from those of the display unit in the second display region.
Wherein the type of the display parameter may include at least one of: chrominance, luminance, contrast. Wherein the first display unit and the second display unit may be determined by a visual detection method.
Taking the types of display parameters including chromaticity and brightness as an example, for example, the display parameter displayed by the display unit a at a certain position in the first display region is brightness: 80 nits, the display parameters displayed by the display unit B at a certain position in the first display area are brightness: 100 nits. The brightness of the image displayed by display element a is 4/5 the brightness of the image displayed by display element B, and the brightness displayed by display element a is darker than the brightness displayed by display element B when the same display signal is received.
Therefore, the display parameters of the display area can be adjusted according to the display parameter adjustment conditions, so that the display effect of the display panel can be improved.
Fig. 1B is a schematic diagram illustrating a display parameter adjustment performed on at least one of the plurality of display regions according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
As shown in fig. 1B, the adjusting the display parameter of at least one of the plurality of display regions may include:
in step S21, determining a first display unit in the first display area and a second display unit in the second display area, wherein the first display unit and the second display unit display different display parameters according to the same display signal;
in step S22, acquiring difference information between a first display parameter displayed by the first display unit according to the display signal and a second display parameter displayed by the second display unit according to the display signal;
in step S23, determining first display information of the image to be displayed at the first display unit position and/or second display information at the second display unit position;
in step S24, the first display information and/or the second display information is adjusted according to the difference information.
According to the embodiment of the disclosure, the difference information between the first display parameter displayed by the first display unit according to the display signal and the second display parameter displayed by the second display unit according to the display signal can be acquired, then the first display information of the image to be displayed at the position of the first display unit and/or the second display information at the position of the second display unit are determined, and then the first display information and/or the second display information are adjusted according to the difference information.
By taking only the adjustment of the first display information as an example, the brightness of the first display signal generated by the first display unit according to the adjusted first display information when displaying can be the same as the brightness of the second display signal generated by the second display unit according to the second display information when displaying, so that the brightness uniformity of the display image of the display panel is ensured, and a good display effect is realized.
In one embodiment, the difference information may be a difference between a first display parameter displayed by the first display unit according to the display signal and a second display parameter displayed by the second display unit according to the display signal, or a ratio of the first display parameter displayed by the first display unit according to the display signal to the second display parameter displayed by the second display unit according to the display signal.
For example, the display information is a gray scale, and the difference information is a ratio of a first display parameter displayed by the first display unit according to the display signal to a second display parameter displayed by the second display unit according to the display signal. For convenience of description, it is assumed that the gray scale and the brightness of the display panel in the embodiment are in a 1:1 relationship, that is, the gray scale is 80 nits, the gray scale is 100 nits, and the brightness according to the gray scale is 100 nits.
The difference information between the first display parameter displayed by the display unit a and the second display parameter displayed by the second display unit B is 4/5, so that the gray scale of the image to be displayed at the position of the display unit a can be adjusted to 5/4 times, and when the gray scale at the position of the display unit a is 80, the display signal can be generated according to the gray scale of 100, so as to display the brightness of 100 nits, that is, the brightness of the display signal generated according to the adjusted display information at the target position, which compensates the problem that the brightness of the image displayed by the display unit a is 4/5 of the image displayed by the display unit B, so that the brightness of the images displayed by the display unit a and the display unit B are consistent, and further, the brightness of the display panel as a whole is uniform.
Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram illustrating another adjustment of display parameters for at least one of the plurality of display regions according to an embodiment of the disclosure. As shown in fig. 2, the adjusting the first display information and/or the second display information according to the difference information includes:
in step S241, the first display information is adjusted to third display information, where the display parameters displayed by the first display unit according to the third display information are the same as the display parameters displayed by the second display unit according to the second display information.
Fig. 3 is a schematic diagram illustrating yet another display parameter adjustment for at least one of the plurality of display regions according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in fig. 3, the adjusting the first display information and/or the second display information according to the difference information includes:
in step S242, the second display information is adjusted to fourth display information, where the display parameters displayed by the first display unit according to the first display information are the same as the display parameters displayed by the second display unit according to the fourth display information.
Fig. 4 is a schematic diagram illustrating still another display control method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in fig. 4, the adjusting the first display information and/or the second display information according to the difference information includes:
in step S243, the first display information is adjusted to be fifth display information, and the second display information is adjusted to be sixth display information, where the display parameters displayed by the first display unit according to the fifth display information are the same as the display parameters displayed by the second display unit according to the sixth display information.
The following is exemplified in the case where the luminance displayed by the first display unit according to the first display information is lower than the luminance displayed by the second display unit according to the second display information.
In one embodiment, as in the embodiment shown in fig. 2, only the first display information may be adjusted such that the luminance displayed by the first display unit according to the third display information is close to the luminance displayed by the second display unit according to the second display information. The brightness of the first display unit when displaying is improved, namely, the brightness of the first display unit when displaying is performed according to the first display signal generated by the adjusted first display information is the same as the brightness of the second display unit when displaying is performed according to the second display signal generated by the second display unit, so that the brightness uniformity of the display image of the display panel is ensured, and a good display effect is realized.
In one embodiment, as in the embodiment shown in fig. 3, only the second display information may be adjusted such that the luminance displayed by the second display unit according to the fourth display information is closer to the luminance displayed by the first display unit according to the first display information. The brightness displayed by the second display unit is reduced, so that the brightness when the second display unit displays the second display signal generated according to the adjusted second display information is the same as the brightness when the first display unit displays the first display signal generated according to the first display information, thereby ensuring that the brightness of the display image of the display panel is uniform, and realizing good display effect.
In one embodiment, as in the embodiment shown in fig. 4, both the first display information and the second display information may be adjusted so that the luminance displayed by the first display unit according to the third display information and the luminance displayed by the second display unit according to the fourth display information are close to each other. The brightness of the first display unit when displaying is improved, the brightness of the second display unit when displaying is reduced, and the brightness of the first display unit when displaying is generated according to the adjusted first display information and is the same as the brightness of the second display unit when displaying is generated according to the adjusted second display information, so that the brightness of the display image of the display panel is ensured to be uniform, and a good display effect is achieved.
Fig. 5 is a schematic diagram illustrating an adjustment of the first display information and/or the second display information according to the difference information according to an embodiment of the disclosure. As shown in fig. 5, the display panel includes a plurality of regions, at least one of the plurality of regions has a transmittance different from that of the other regions, and the compensating the display information according to the difference information includes:
in step S241, determining an adjustment coefficient according to a difference between the transmittance of the first display region and the transmittance of the second display region;
in step S242, adjusting the difference information according to the adjustment coefficient;
in step S243, the first display information and/or the second display information is adjusted according to the adjusted difference information.
In one embodiment, the transmittance of the first display region is different from that of the second display region, and the different transmittances affect the visual effect of the user, and the different transmittances cause the difference in the viewing of the same display parameter by the user to be slightly different.
The embodiment of the disclosure adjusts the first display information and/or the second display information according to the difference information, determines an adjustment coefficient according to a transmittance difference between the first display region and the second display region, adjusts the difference information according to the adjustment coefficient, and further adjusts the first display information and/or the second display information according to the adjusted difference information, so as to adjust the difference information by using the adjustment coefficient corresponding to the transmittance difference (for example, multiplying the difference information by the adjustment coefficient) on the basis of fully considering the influence of the transmittance difference between the first display region and the second display region on the visual effect, and compensate the display information by using the adjusted difference information, so that the compensated display information adapts to the transmittance of the corresponding region, so as to generate the display signal for display according to the compensated display information, the brightness of the user is uniform in the watching visual effect, and good user experience is guaranteed.
Correspondingly to the embodiment of the display control method, the disclosure also provides an embodiment of the display control device.
