The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing an article of clothing having expandable heat dissipation properties, and an article of clothing manufactured by implementing such a method of manufacturing.
The invention is particularly applicable to articles of apparel, such as undergarments, for wearing on the torso during athletic activities to facilitate adjusting the temperature and/or perspiration of the user during different phases of the athletic activity.
Background
From document US-2016/0366963 we know an undergarment comprising a central section covering the torso and two side sections covering the arms of the user respectively, said undergarment comprising an air sausage particularly at the chest, shoulder and back.
In particular, the garment may be formed from a seamless knit having overlapping outer and inner panels which are then sealed together by adhesive and/or stitching to form the air sausage.
From document EP-0924999, there is also known an insulating module which can be integrated into a garment, such as an undergarment or a jacket, said module being equipped with an air sausage which can be inflated by a user, in particular by blowing in an inflation valve which can be inserted into a mouthpiece placed on said module, so as to allow said user to adjust the layout of said module according to the strength of the physical strength it provides, thereby adjusting the temperature and/or perspiration thereof.
In particular, the module may be manufactured by sealing the inner and outer two membranes together at certain locations to form an inflatable air sausage, or by folding a single piece of membrane sealed on itself to form a perimeter seal and a plurality of air sausages. Furthermore, to assemble the module to the garment, one of the membrane walls may be laminated to a fabric, the surface of the fabric without the membrane then forming the outer surface of the garment.
The object of the present invention is to improve the prior art by proposing a manufacturing method for manufacturing in a simple manner an article of clothing incorporating an insulating network, in particular by imparting an extensible heat dissipation, for the comfort of the user.

Detailed Description
With reference to these figures, a manufacturing method for manufacturing an article of clothing having expandable heat dissipation properties, and an article of clothing manufactured by implementing such manufacturing method, are described below.
The article of apparel includes at least one coverage area segment that covers a portion of a user's body. In fig. 3a, 3b and 3c, the article of apparel is an undergarment for covering the upper part of the body of a user, in particular when performing sports activities, comprising a central section 1 covering the torso and two side sections 2 covering an arm of said user, respectively.
In the embodiment shown, the section 1 covering the torso comprises an inner textile layer 3 and an outer textile layer 4, between which extends an insulating network 5 comprising at least one air sausage 6 formed by welding portions of films 7a,7b respectively joined to one of said inner and outer textile layers.
In the drawings, the article of clothing comprises an air sausage 6 extending over the chest and each shoulder blade, in which areas of the body are more sensitive to cold and therefore require greater insulation than the rest of the torso.
In particular, the article of apparel shown comprises a single insulating network 5 having one front section 5a and two rear sections 5b, covering the chest and shoulder blades, respectively, the front section 5a being in fluid communication with each rear section 5b through a respective row 5c of air intestines 6, each of said rows extending over a coverage area covering the collarbone, respectively.
As a variant, the insulating network 5 may extend over other parts of the torso, for example over the lower part of the back and/or over the abdomen, which parts are more prone to perspiration during the athletic activity. The article of apparel may also include other networks 5 formed on the coverage area 2 covering the arm, such as other networks 5 formed on the coverage area on top of the shoulder.
To form an undergarment, the fabric layers 3, 4 together may have a surface density of less than 300g/m 2. Furthermore, the cover sections 1, 2 of the torso and arms are each suitably resilient to allow the undergarment to rest against the body of a user to provide a "second skin" effect for the user.
Advantageously, the fabric layers 3, 4 are made together by seamless braiding, which allows the cover section 1 to be formed in a single piece, thus facilitating its manufacture, and also making it easy to obtain an article of clothing with a suitable elasticity.
With reference to figures 1a, 1b and 1c, a method for manufacturing an article of clothing with expandable heat dissipation will now be described, said article of clothing comprising at least one covering section 1 covering a part of the body, as previously described.
In order to obtain such a covering section 1, the manufacturing method consists in first manufacturing a tubular textile sleeve 8, which tubular textile sleeve 8 comprises a main portion 8a having a geometry similar to that of the covering section 1, and complementary portions 8b adjacent to said main portion, each having an outer wall 9a,9b (fig. 1 a).
Advantageously, the main portion 8a and the complementary portion 8b of the tubular textile sleeve 8 have similar geometries, which allows to facilitate the manufacture of the cover section 1 and thus of the whole article of clothing.
As previously mentioned, the tubular textile sleeve 8 can be manufactured by seamless braiding, in particular by circular knitting machines, which allows it to be made in one piece.
The manufacturing method then consists in joining the membrane 7a on the outer wall 9a of the main portion 8a and the membrane 7b on the outer wall 9b of the complementary portion 8b, which are airtight and weldable between them (fig. 1 b).
The films 7a,7b may in particular be cut from a film of a suitable material according to the desired shape and/or size and then laminated to the respective outer walls 9a,9b of the main portion 8a and the complementary portion 8 b. Alternatively, the films 7a,7b may be formed directly on the outer walls 9a,9b, for example by coating or extruding a suitable product on the desired areas of said outer walls.
The manufacturing method then consists in rolling the complementary portion 8b on the main portion 8a by bringing the outer wall 9a of the complementary portion 8b against the outer wall 9a of the main portion 8a, so as to form a cover section 1 comprising the main portion 8a as the inner layer 3 and the complementary portion 8b as the outer layer 4, at least a portion of the respective films 7a,7b of said main and complementary portions being arranged opposite each other between said inner and outer layers (fig. 1 c).
In particular, when the cover section 1 is intended to be worn around the torso, the main portion 8a, the complementary portion 8b may be rolled up along a fold line 10, the fold line 10 being intended to form an upper collar 11 or a lower hem 12 of the article of clothing.
Then, in order to complete the manufacture of the covering portion 1, the manufacturing method consists in locally welding the portions of the films 7a,7b one on top of the other to form an insulating network 5 between them, the insulating network 5 comprising at least one air sausage 6 extending between the layers 3, 4 of said covering section.
Referring to fig. 1b and 1c, the manufacturing method consists in placing one membrane 7a,7b on each outer wall 9a,9 b. According to a variant not shown, the same membrane 7a,7b can be engaged on the main portion 8a and the complementary portion 8b of the tubular textile sleeve 8.
According to one embodiment, at least two films 7a,7b are joined on each outer wall 9a,9b, the respective welding of which makes it possible to provide at least two insulating networks 5 between the layers 3, 4 of the covering section 1.
Referring to fig. 2, at least a portion 8a,8b of the tubular textile sleeve 8 may have two areas 13a,13b of different textile density, in particular according to the thermal sensitivity of the body part covered by said areas.
The tubular textile sleeve 8 may therefore have a region 13a of high textile density arranged opposite the parts of the body most sensitive to cold, in particular the chest and shoulder blades, in order to provide a greater heat supply in these parts.
Similarly, the tubular textile sleeve 8 may have a region 13b of lower textile density, in particular perforated, which is arranged opposite the body parts most prone to perspiration, in particular opposite the lower back or abdomen, to facilitate ventilation and perspiration of these parts.
In particular, the films 7a,7b may be joined on the outer walls 9a,9b of at least one of the areas 13a,13b, so as to impart different compressions to the obtained insulating network 5, depending on the positioning of the insulating network on the covering section 1.
For example, the air sausage 6 may:
extends over the region 13a of high textile density to increase the level of insulation at the part of the body most susceptible to cold; and/or
Extends over the area of low textile density 13b to keep the fabric saturated with sweat away from the skin of the user, preventing said user from catching a cold, while promoting evaporation of said sweat.
The manufacturing method consists in particular in welding between the portions of the films 7a,7b along the weld line 14, defining between them at least one air sausage 6.
In particular, portions of the films 7a,7b may be welded to each other to form at least one air sausage 6, the internal dimensions of which may vary depending on their position on the cover section 1, giving the layers 3, 4 different spacing and/or insulation.
In fig. 3a, 3b and 3c, the network 5 comprises one front section 5a and two rear sections 5b, each section having a number of air sausages 6 of substantially constant cross section arranged in a nested manner, the air sausages 6 of one section 5a, 5b having a length that increases from the inside to the outside.
In addition, the air-sausages 6 of each section 5a, 5b communicate with each other through a break 15 formed in the weld line 14 of the membrane 7a, the air-sausages 6a outside the front section 5a communicating with the air-sausages 6b of the rear section 5b through a lateral air-sausages 6c extending in a row 5c over the covered section of the collarbone.
In a variant not shown, the manufacturing method consists in welding the portions of the films 7a,7b to each other to form an insulating network 5 comprising, for example, a single air sausage wound on itself.
The welding of the portions of the films 7a,7b can be carried out in particular through the inner layer 3 and the outer layer 4 of the cover section 1, with means suitable for carrying out said welding without damaging the fabric forming said layers.
Advantageously, the manufacturing method consists in equipping the insulating network 5 with a valve 16 for inflating/deflating the air sausage 6, said valve being engaged with said insulating network by the outer layer 4 of the covering section 1 so as to allow the user to access the valve at any time while wearing the garment, in particular during sports activities.
The user can thus arrange for the inflation of the insulating network 5 according to his needs, for example through an interface connected to the valve 16, which expands in particular during exercise.
For example, the user may:
prior to effort, inflating the air sausage 6 to provide a space for air circulation between his skin and the clothing article, thereby protecting his body from cold and providing heat;
-during an effort, deflating the air sausage to bring the clothing article into contact with his skin, so as to limit the bringing in of heat and allow the textile to absorb sweat; and
-re-inflating the air sausage after effort to leave the clothing article from his skin again, avoiding rapid cooling of his body and unpleasant contact of the skin with sweat-impregnated textiles.
After the coverage area section is obtained, the manufacturing method consists in manufacturing the article of clothing, in particular in associating said section with other sections 2 covering other parts of the body by means of seams 17.
Thus, in the embodiment shown, the obtained torso-covering coverage section 1 is sewn to a coverage section 2 covering two arms to form an undergarment.
In particular, the manufacturing method consists in manufacturing a plurality of cover sections 1, 2 covering different parts of the body according to the above-described steps, and then joining all these sections 1, 2 by means of seams 17 to form an article of clothing comprising a plurality of insulating networks 5 in different positions.
