Description
The present application is a divisional application of a chinese patent application with application number 201580059676.0, application date 2015, 11, 16, and the name "haircut equipment with integrated insulation mechanism".
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the technical field of hair cutting devices for shaping hair. The invention relates more particularly to the technical field of devices of the straightener type comprising at least one heated straightening plate.
Background
Various types of straighteners are known, comprising two cheeks mounted on a hinge so as to form a clamp, which can be moved between an open position and a closed position. Known straighteners today typically comprise a heating element in each cheek plate in the vicinity of the straightening plate, said assembly being contained in the housing of the cheek plate. During use of the device, the straightening plates are often heated to above 130 ℃, which results in an increase in the temperature of the housing by heat conduction. When steam straighteners are concerned, the presence of the steam chamber in the cheeks can further increase the temperature of the housing.
However, depending on the use of these devices, some hairdressers or users tend to use one hand to keep the jaws closed in order to be able to achieve curls or in order to obtain a better straightening effect, and the holding with one hand is performed better at the opposite end of the hinge, where the hottest area of the shell is. Direct contact of the finger with the portion of the housing carries the risk of scalding or at least creating discomfort when in contact with the portion.
In order to overcome this drawback, several documents are known which use insulating systems on the housing of the cheeks, so as to avoid direct contact with the fingers.
For example, document EP2433519 describes a straightener comprising two cheeks mounted on a hinge, each cheek comprising, on the end opposite the hinge, a part embedded on the housing. This feature allows the device to be held comfortably with the thumb when the device is closed, while at the same time providing thermal insulation of the housing. However, such a component integrated in the housing is not sufficient to reduce the temperature, because of the heat conduction towards the component. It is reasonable to consider an insulating mechanism separated from the housing by a distance.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is to at least partly overcome the above-mentioned drawbacks and to provide a hair-cutting device with less risk of scalding and a more pleasant feel when in contact with the housing.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide a hair cutting apparatus comprising a compact heat insulation mechanism which is inexpensive and easy to mass produce.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an ergonomic hair cutting apparatus that is easy to handle during use.
These objects are achieved by a hair-cutting apparatus of the straightener type comprising
Two arms mounted on a hinge, at least one of the two arms comprising a housing having a gripping area and a treatment area, the treatment area being integrated with a heating plate, the arms being configured to form a clamp, the clamp allowing the heating plate to shape hair,
-an insulating mechanism having an abutment region for at least partially covering a distal end of the treatment region, the distal end being opposite the grip region.
An inner surface of the insulating mechanism is disposed opposite and mounted in spaced relation to an outer surface of the housing.
The insulating mechanism is thus arranged substantially parallel to the housing and conforms to the shape of the housing. The spacing between these parts allows for eliminating or at least limiting the heat conduction between the heated housing and the insulating mechanism. The abutment region spaced from the housing is maintained at ambient temperature, which allows the clamp to be held in said abutment region without scalding or discomfort, even during use of the device.
According to a first embodiment of the invention, the thermal insulation means is arranged to cover only the distal portion of the treatment zone. Distal refers to the end opposite the grip region. The distal portion corresponds to an area that is often contacted by the thumb and index finger of the user to close the jaws well during the straightening process; according to a second embodiment, the thermal insulation mechanism is configured to cover the entire surface of the treatment area. This arrangement has the advantage that scalding the scalp during use is completely avoided and protection is ensured over a larger area of the device.
Furthermore, the inner surface is spaced from the outer surface by a minimum distance D between 0.5mm and 4mm in order to minimize heat conduction. The distance may be substantially constant in the space between the inner surface and the outer surface.
Advantageously, the apparatus comprises a fixing mechanism which allows to connect the insulating mechanism and the arm in a permanent manner. The fixing mechanism is realized in at least one of the following modes: screwing, riveting, assembling and pasting.
According to a feature of the invention, the insulating means comprises substantially a material having a thermal conduction less than that of the housing. The insulating mechanism may be constructed of such a material.
To further reduce the burning sensation, the insulating means comprise a cover layer on the abutment area. The cover layer is a thin layer, which may be composed of a material such as silicone or rubber, deposited by molding onto the abutment area. In addition, the cover layer mainly comprises a material having a heat conduction less than that of the heat insulating means. Or according to a variant, the insulating means may consist of such a material.
Advantageously, the cover layer is fixed with the insulating means by moulding.
Furthermore, the cover layer has a surface provided with ribs in order to achieve a slip-resistant effect.
Advantageously, the cover layer has a surface with a minimum width of between 10mm and 45 mm.
According to a feature of the invention, the arm comprises an evaporation mechanism and a vapor dispensing mechanism that dispenses vapor in a direction towards the tresses of hair. Such a steam haircutting device has a hot zone, which is created by an evaporation chamber having a relatively high temperature contained in a housing. The use of an insulating mechanism in such an apparatus is particularly effective in order to achieve thermal protection during use of the apparatus.

Detailed Description
As shown in fig. 1, the hair-cutting apparatus 1 is of the straightener type and comprises two arms 2,3 which arms 2,3 are pivotally hinged to each other by means of a pivot connection 4 of the hinge type. The two arms 2,3 thus constitute a clamp which allows an angular spacing between the two arms 2,3, or a proximity of the two arms 2,3 to each other, so as to allow clamping of hair arranged between the two arms 2, 3.
The arms 2,3 each comprise a housing 21, 31 and a heating system. In addition to an electrical heating mechanism (not shown) and a thermal control and regulation mechanism (not shown), these heating systems each comprise a heating plate 5,6, said heating plate 5,6 having the shape of a flat surface such as shown in fig. 1. These flat heating surfaces are arranged on the inner faces of the arms 2, 3. Thus, when clamped, the two flat heating surfaces are arranged opposite each other and at the same time allow a heat treatment of the hair to be achieved in order to achieve straightening of the hair. Thus, each arm 2,3 has a treatment zone 8 and a gripping zone 7, said treatment zone 8 corresponding to the portion integrating the heating plates 5,6, said gripping zone 7 being the portion located between said treatment zone 8 and said hinge 4.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5 and according to a first embodiment, one of the two arms 2 comprises an insulating mechanism 10, said insulating mechanism 10 being located at the distal end 8' of the treatment zone 8. The insulating means 10 is thus arranged at the end opposite the hinge 4 of the arm 2.
Such as shown in fig. 2 and 3, the insulating mechanism 10 is a generally planar piece having an abutment region 9 accessible from the exterior of the housing 21. The size of this abutment area 9 is desirably greater than or equal to the size of the thumb, which allows the thumb to be simply abutted without aiming. For example, the abutment region 9 has a width of between 10mm and 45 mm. The area of the abutting region is 2cm 2 And 16cm 2 Between them.
The insulating means 10 is mounted spaced apart from the housing 21 and the insulating means 10 has an inner surface 101, said inner surface 101 being arranged in a permanent manner opposite the outer surface 201 of the housing 21. The inner surface 101 is spaced from the outer surface 201 by a minimum distance D between 0.5mm and 4 mm. For this purpose, the insulating means 10 comprise fixing means 15, 25, said fixing means 15, 25 being adapted to connect the insulating means 10 to the housing 21 without the insulating means 10 being removable. According to the example shown, the fixing means 15, 25 are riveting by means of pins 15 on the insulating means 10 and holes 25 on the casing 21. Alternatively, screw, fitting or adhesive type mechanisms are also contemplated.
In this example, the insulating mechanism 10 and the pin 15 form a single piece, realized by Polyamide (PA), with or without glass fibre doping, by polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), with or without doping, or by polysulfone resin (PSU).
According to a variant of the first embodiment, the insulating means 10 comprise a covering layer 9' with weak thermal conduction on the abutment region 9. The cover layer 9' is a moulded piece of silicone or rubber material realized on the abutment area 9 in order to better insulate the insulating means 10. Furthermore, silicone or rubber allows to achieve a pleasant tactile sensation and a better resistance to the temperatures used to achieve the molding. In case the cover layer 9 'is composed of a material having a heat conduction less than or equal to that of the insulating means 10, said cover layer 9' may completely cover said insulating means 10 and abut against the housing 21. The cover layer 9' may also have a surface provided with ribs, as shown in fig. 1, which comprises for example raised lines which allow for a convenient grip of the device and a reduced burning sensation.
In case the device is equipped with an evaporation system such as shown in fig. 6, the device 1 comprises a base 1000 with a fluid container 19, a portable unit 100 comprising a fluid evaporation mechanism 7', said portable unit 100 comprising a steam distribution mechanism 22 for distributing steam towards the hair, said device comprising at least one cable 24 for a channel for the passage of fluid, said at least one channel being arranged between the fluid container 19 and the evaporation mechanism 7'. The base is separate with respect to the portable unit and can be placed on a work plane. The configuration of such devices is described in patent 2967017 filed by the applicant and need not be described in detail.
According to this configuration, the insulating means 10 are arranged on the arm 2, said arm 2 comprising evaporation means 7' and steam distribution means 22. The use of an insulating mechanism in this portion of the apparatus allows for the creation of a cooler area relative to the remainder of the housing that is heated by the steam. As an example and according to experiments carried out in the laboratory, the presence of the insulating means allows to reduce the temperature on the abutment zone by about 30 ℃ with respect to the housing.
A second embodiment of the invention is shown in fig. 7 and 8, wherein the thermal insulation means 10 completely covers the treatment area 8 and covers the distal end 8' of the treatment area 8, and the thermal insulation means 10 substantially conforms to the shape of the housing 21. The inner surface of the insulating means 10 is spaced from said outer surface 201 of the housing by a minimum distance D comprised between 0.5mm and 4 mm. The heat insulating mechanism 10 is connected to the housing by the same fixing mechanism as the first embodiment.
In case the apparatus is equipped with an evaporation system such as shown in fig. 8, the insulation means 10 are arranged on the arm 2, said wall 2 comprising the fluid evaporation means 7' and the steam distribution means 22.
Of course, the invention is in no way limited to the embodiments shown and described, which are given by way of example only. Modifications may be made without departing from the scope of the invention, particularly in terms of the constitution of the different elements or by technically equivalent substitution.
