Abstract
A display device (22) of an electric two-wheeled vehicle (20) is proposed, wherein the display device (22) is embedded in a fuel tank cap (24) of the electric two-wheeled vehicle (20).
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a display device for a motorcycle.
Background
From US 7,469,947 B2 an instrument panel for a motorcycle is known.
Disclosure of Invention
A display device of an electric two-wheeled vehicle is proposed, wherein the display device is embedded in a fuel tank cap of the electric two-wheeled vehicle. By means of which information or image representations can be displayed for the driver. For example, the state of the two-wheeled vehicle may be displayed by means of a display device. The information output can be, for example, information about a state, such as a speed, a rotational speed display, a tank level, and/or information about a navigation system. In particular, information can be displayed simply and/or reliably for the driver of the motor bicycle by means of the proposed display device. In particular, the road traffic safety can thereby be improved. In addition, the comfort of the driver can be improved by using such a face for displaying information. With the aid of the fuel tank cap, in particular, large, already available surfaces can be used for information display. In particular, the installation space can be saved as a result.
In an exemplary configuration, the display device may be configured as a flexible display. Thus, the display device or the display can be matched to the shape of the fuel tank cap of the motorcycle. In particular, the existing surface of the fuel tank cap can thus be optimally utilized. In this way, information can be displayed to the driver of the motor vehicle, in particular simply and/or reliably.
Preferably, the display device may have one or more LEDs. In particular, information about the LEDs can be displayed to the driver of the motor vehicle in a simple and/or reliable manner. The driver may preferably simply receive the information.
For example, the level of the tank can be displayed in particular by means of a display device. In particular, the driver can thus be provided with information about the level of the fuel tank in a simple and/or reliable manner. By displaying directly on the tank cap, the driver can in particular simply and/or reliably relate the information on the tank cap to the level of the tank.
In a further development, the display device may be or become visible when touched. Thus, the driver can switch on or off the display device when needed. In particular, the distraction of the driver by the display can thereby be reduced or prevented, as a result of which, in particular, the road traffic safety can be increased. In addition, energy can be saved.
In an advantageous configuration, the display device may comprise an input unit. In this way, in addition to displaying information, the driver is provided with the possibility of entering by means of a display device on the tank cap. By using a tank cap for this purpose, a large surface can be used for the feed. Thus, for example, the input can also be achieved by means of a glove. The input of information can preferably be reduced and thus the information can be input simply and/or reliably for the driver of the motor bicycle. In particular, the comfort can thereby be improved.
Furthermore, the display device and/or the instrument cluster in the motorcycle handle can be operated by means of the input unit. In particular, a simple and/or reliable operation of the fuel tank unit in the motorcycle handle and/or of the display device on the instrument cluster can thereby be achieved. In particular, due to the simple operation, the comfort of the driver can be improved.
The input unit may preferably be designed as a touch pad. In particular, a simple and/or reliable input by way of the operating unit as a touch panel can thereby be achieved, whereby the comfort of the driver can be increased in particular.
In an exemplary configuration, the input unit can only be operated when the motorcycle is stationary. Thereby, it is possible to prevent or reduce the driver from being distracted by the input unit during driving. In particular, road traffic safety can be increased in that the driver can concentrate on the driving event.
A fuel tank cap of a motorcycle is also provided, including an embedded display device. By arranging the display device as a built-in display device in the fuel tank cap of an electric two-wheeled vehicle, the existing installation space can be used particularly optimally. In particular, the installation space can be saved and/or an optimum size of the display device can be achieved.
A motorcycle having the fuel tank cap is also proposed.
A method for displaying information by means of a display device is also proposed, having the step of displaying information by means of a display device. By displaying the information by means of a display device, the information can be displayed to the driver, in particular safely and/or reliably and/or simply. It is ensured that the driver can perceive the information.
In a further development, the method may also have the step of inputting commands by means of an input unit. In this way, the driver can simply and/or reliably input by means of the input unit. Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a schematic view of a portion of a motor bicycle 20, such as a motorcycle or scooter, having a display device 22 from the perspective of the driver. Further, the motorcycle 20 has a fuel tank cap 24.
The display device 22 is configured to display information for the driver of the motorcycle 20. The display device 22 is embedded in a fuel tank cap 24 of the motorcycle 20. In other words, the display device 22 is integrated into the fuel tank cap 24. Accordingly, the display device 22 preferably follows the shape or contour of the fuel tank cap 24. The display device 22 may be configured as a flexible display. Preferably, the display device 22 may be visible only when touched. In other words, the display device 22 may be turned on or the display device 22 may be made visible whenever contact with the display device 22 and/or the fuel tank cap 24 is determined or identified. Preferably, the display device 22 can be switched visible, in particular, within a defined period of time and be switched off again after this period of time. When touched again, the display device 22 may again become visible.
Further, the motorcycle 20 may have an additional display device 26 in the instrument cluster of the motorcycle 20. The further display device 26 may in particular be arranged in front of the handlebar and thus in a front region of the motorcycle in the direction of travel. Alternatively, the further display device 26 may be arranged at the handlebar.
The display device 22 and/or the further display device 26 may for example have a display, for example an LCD display or an OLED display, or may be configured as a display. The display device 22 and/or the further display device 26 are arranged in the motor vehicle 20 or at the motor vehicle 20 in such a way that the driver can see the information displayed by means of the display device 22. Information relating to the motor vehicle 20, such as status information, for example, speed and/or rotational speed and/or temperature and/or tank level and/or navigation instructions and/or other information available for operation of the motor vehicle 20, may be displayed by means of the display device 22 and/or the further display device 26.
The motorcycle 20 may also have a computing unit 28. In particular, the display unit 22 and/or the further display device 26 can be controlled by means of the computing unit 28. The method according to the method of fig. 3 may be executed or implemented on the display device 22 and/or on the further display device 26 and/or on the computing unit 28. The computing unit and the connection to the display device and/or the further display device 26 are shown schematically in this advantageous embodiment and may also be provided at other locations.
Further, the display device 22 may have one or more LEDs 30. In this advantageous embodiment, the display device has three LEDs 30. The level of the tank can be displayed in particular by means of the display device 22, in particular by means of the LED 30. In particular, when the tank is full, all three LEDs 30 are lit. If the tank is empty, one of the LEDs 30 is gradually turned off. This allows the driver to see the level of the tank.
The display device 22 preferably has an input unit 32. In particular, the display device 22 and/or the instrument cluster 26 in the handlebar of the motorcycle 20 can be operated by means of the input unit 32. In other words, the further display device 26 can also be operated by means of the input unit 32. In other words, an input or command may be input by means of the input unit 32. In particular, these commands can be processed by means of the computing unit 28. In a further development, the input unit 32 may be configured as a touch pad. For example, an input, such as dragging, selecting, writing letters or numbers, etc., may be effected by means of the input unit 32, in particular a touch pad. In an advantageous configuration, the input unit 32 can only be operated when the motor vehicle 20 is stationary. In other words, the input unit cannot be operated as long as the electric two-wheeled vehicle 20 is traveling or moving. Once the motorcycle is stationary, the input unit 32 is released.
Fig. 2 shows a schematic view of the motorcycle 20. The motor vehicle 20 according to fig. 2 can be implemented in particular according to the motor vehicle 20 according to fig. 1. The display device 22 according to fig. 2 can be implemented in particular in accordance with the display device 22 according to fig. 1. Furthermore, the display device 22 according to fig. 2 can be arranged in particular in the motor vehicle 20 or at the motor vehicle 20 according to the display device 22 according to fig. 1.

1. Display device (22) of an electric two-wheeled vehicle (20), characterized in that the display device (22) is embedded in a fuel tank cap (24) of the electric two-wheeled vehicle (20).
2. The display device (22) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the display device (22) is configured as a flexible display.
3. The display device (22) of any of the preceding claims, wherein the display device (22) has one or more LEDs (30).
4. The display device (22) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the liquid level of the tank is displayable by means of the display device (22).
5. The display device (22) of any of the preceding claims, wherein the display device (22) is visible when touched.
6. The display device (22) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the display device (22) comprises an input unit (32).
7. The display device (22) according to claim 6, characterized in that the display device (22) and/or the instrument cluster (26) in the handle bar of the electric two-wheeled vehicle (20) can be operated by means of an input unit (32).
8. The display device (22) according to any of the preceding claims 6 to 7, characterized in that the input unit (32) is configured as a touch pad.
9. The display device (22) of claim 8 wherein said input unit (32) is operable only when said motorcycle (20) is stationary.
10. Fuel tank cap (24) of a motor vehicle (20) comprising a built-in display device (22) according to any of the preceding claims.
11. Motor bicycle (20) with a tank cap (24) according to claim 10.
12. Method (34) for displaying information by means of a display device (22) according to any of the preceding claims, having the step of displaying information by means of the display device (22).
13. Method (34) according to claim 12, having the step of inputting commands by means of an input unit (32) according to one of the preceding claims 6 to 8.
