Abstract

本申请提供一种上报及其实现多连接切换能力的方法及装置。该方法包括:终端设备根据自身是否支持多连接切换能力,生成第一信息,第一信息包含第一指示信息和第二信息,第一指示信息用于指示终端设备是否支持多连接切换能力,第二信息包含至少一组对应关系,该至少一组对应关系中的每一组对应关系分别用于指示至少两个小区的相关信息,该至少两个小区为终端设备在进行小区切换时支持同时保持连接的小区。基于该方案,只要源小区和至少一个目标小区的相关信息满足同一组对应关系中指示的至少两个小区的相关信息,则终端设备就可以基于源小区和至少一个目标小区激活多连接切换。
