For example, here, it is assumed that whether the format of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user satisfies the first preset weight corresponding to the target format is 6, that whether the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to the second preset weight corresponding to the target number of digits is 2, and that the third preset weight corresponding to whether the prize receiving address of the target user is legal is 2. Assume that the preset detection value is 5. Here, it is assumed that the format of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user satisfies the target format, and the result of detection is 1. Further, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may determine that the first detection value is 6 according to the result 1 obtained by detecting whether the format of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user meets the target format and the first preset weight 6. And, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may determine that the second detection value is 2 according to the result 1 obtained by detecting whether the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to the target number of digits and the second preset weight 2. The event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may then determine that the summed detection value 8 is greater than the preset detection value 5. Further, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may determine that the target campaign feedback event is legal.
For another example, it is assumed here that whether the format of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user satisfies the first preset weight corresponding to the target format is 6, that whether the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to the second preset weight corresponding to the target number of digits is 2, and that the third preset weight corresponding to whether the prize receiving address of the target user is legal is 2. Then, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may determine that the addition detection value 4 is smaller than the preset detection value 5. Further, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may determine that the target campaign feedback event is illegal.
In yet another alternative embodiment, the target validity verification policy is analyzed as to whether the number of digits of the authorized cell phone number of the target user is equal to the target number of digits. The event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may acquire the authorized mobile phone number of the target user according to the user participation information. Further, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may determine whether the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to the target number of digits. If the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 determines that the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to the target number of digits, it may determine that the target activity feedback event is legal. If the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 determines that the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is not the target number of digits, it may determine that the target activity feedback event is illegal.
For example, the target validity verification policy is analyzed to determine whether the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to the target number of digits. Here, assume that the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is "153 x 4731", and the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number is equal to 11 digits. The event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may obtain, according to the user participation information, that the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is "153 x 4731". The event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may then determine that the number of digits of the authorized cell phone number of the target user is 11 digits equal to the target number of digits. Further, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may determine that the target campaign feedback event is legal.
For another example, the target validity verification policy is analyzed as to whether the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to the target number of digits. Here, assume that the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is "153 x 4731", and the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number is equal to 10 digits. The event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may obtain, according to the user participation information, that the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is "153 x 4731". The event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may then determine that the number of digits of the authorized cell phone number of the target user is 10 digits unequal to the target number of digits. Further, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may determine that the target campaign feedback event is illegal.
In another alternative embodiment, when the target validity verification policy is that the format of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user meets the target format, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may determine that the target activity feedback event is legal if it is determined that the format of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user meets the target format. If the format of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is determined not to meet the target format, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 can determine that the target activity feedback event is illegal.
For example, the target validity verification policy is analyzed as to whether the authorized phone number of the target user satisfies the target format. Here, it is assumed that the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is "123 x 4731". The event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may obtain the authorized cell phone number entered by the target user. The event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may then determine that the authorized cell phone number of the target user does not satisfy the target format. Further, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may determine that the target campaign feedback event is illegal.
For another example, the target validity verification policy is analyzed as to whether the authorized phone number of the target user satisfies the target format. Here, it is assumed that the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is "153 x 4731 x". The event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may obtain the authorized cell phone number entered by the target user. The event center server of marketing cloud system 10 may then determine that the authorized cell phone number of the target user satisfies the target format. Further, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may determine that the target campaign feedback event is legal.
In a specific implementation, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may perform a format test for the authorized mobile phone number of the target user before determining whether the authorized mobile phone number of the target user meets the target format.
Optionally, referring to fig. 3, fig. 3 is a schematic diagram of a mobile phone number query page provided in the embodiment of the present application, and as shown in fig. 3, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may perform a format test in the mobile phone number query page. Then, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may receive an instruction to input the target user authorized mobile phone number in the mobile phone number input area in the mobile phone number query page and an instruction to click the query button. Further, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may obtain the query result output by the query result output area in the mobile phone number query page. If the query result output by the query result output area in the mobile phone number query page acquired by the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 is "sorry, and related information of the number is not found", it can be determined that the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is a null number, that is, the authorized mobile phone number of the target user does not meet the target format. If the query result output by the query result output area in the mobile phone number query page acquired by the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 includes the mobile phone number attribution, the operator name and the number status of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user, it can be determined that the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is not a null number, that is, the authorized mobile phone number of the target user meets the target format.
S205, if the target activity feedback event is legal, packaging the target activity feedback event, storing metadata of the packaged target activity feedback event to an event center server, and pushing the packaged target activity feedback event to a client through a dedicated subscription service of the target activity.
In some possible embodiments, if the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 determines that the target activity feedback event is legal, the target activity feedback event may be encapsulated, metadata of the encapsulated target activity feedback event may be saved to the event center server 13, and the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may push the encapsulated target activity feedback event to the client 11 through a dedicated subscription service of the target activity. The metadata of the target activity feedback event may be data of the target activity feedback event, such as an event generation time of the target activity feedback event, an event structure size, and the like.
It should be noted that the dedicated subscription service may include one or more of a sms notification service, a mail notification service, or a user interface pop-up notification service. It should be appreciated that the exclusive subscription service may include participation results of the target user in the target activity.
For example, assume that the target activity feedback event is a prize delivery event and that the dedicated subscription service is a sms notification service. If the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 determines that the prize delivery event is legal, the prize delivery event may be encapsulated, and metadata of the encapsulated prize delivery event may be stored in the event center server 13. Further, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may notify and push the encapsulated prize delivery event to the client 11 in the form of a short message through a short message notification service. Here, the content of the short message may include specific information of the target user winning a prize, and the like.
S206, if the target activity feedback event is determined to be illegal, an alarm message is created according to the obtained illegal reason, and the alarm message is sent to the operation and maintenance terminal.
In some possible embodiments, if the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 determines that the target activity feedback event is illegal, an alarm message may be created according to the obtained verification illegal reason, and the alarm message may be sent to the operation and maintenance end. It should be noted here that the alert message is used to indicate that the target activity feedback event is illegal.
In an alternative embodiment, if the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 determines that the target activity feedback event is illegal, the event center server 13 may obtain a reason why the target activity feedback event is detected by the event center server 13 according to the target validity verification policy, where this reason may be referred to as a verification illegitimate reason. Further, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may create an alarm message according to the obtained verification illegal reason, and send the alarm message to the operation and maintenance end 14.
Illustratively, assume herein that the target validity check policy is whether the target user's authorized handset number is equal to the target number of digits, and that the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 detects whether the target activity feedback event is valid based on whether the target user's authorized handset number is equal to the target number of digits. If the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 determines that the target activity feedback event is not legal, the event center server 13 may obtain whether the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to the target number of digits, detect the reason that the target activity feedback event is not legal, and verify that the reason that the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is not equal to the target number of digits. Further, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may create an alarm message according to the obtained reason that the verification is illegal, and send the alarm message to the operation and maintenance end 14. It should be understood that the alarm message is used to indicate that the target activity feedback event is illegal, and the reason why the target activity feedback event is illegal is that the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is not equal to the target number of digits.
In the above implementation, after the target user participates in the activity, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may detect whether the target activity feedback event for the target user is legal according to the target validity verification policy. If the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 determines that the target activity feedback event is legal, the packaged target activity feedback event can be pushed to the client 11 through the exclusive subscription service of the target activity. If the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 determines that the target activity feedback event is illegal, an alarm message may be created according to the reason of verifying the illegal and sent to the operation and maintenance end 14. By the method, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 can perform corresponding processing on the target activity feedback event based on the validity check of the target activity feedback event, so that after the target user participates in the activity, the target user does not need to log in again to enter the marketing cloud system 10 to inquire the activity participation result or feedback, and the activity participation result or feedback can be received through the exclusive subscription service, thereby improving the user experience.
Referring to fig. 4, fig. 4 is a schematic flow chart of an event processing method based on event validity verification according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in fig. 4, the method may specifically include the steps of:

In particular implementations, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may receive instructions for an operation and maintenance person of the operation and maintenance end 14 of the marketing cloud system 10 to input an event type of the target activity feedback event. Further, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may receive an instruction that an operation and maintenance person at the operation and maintenance end 14 of the marketing cloud system 10 clicks a query button for a target activity feedback event.
And S208, sending the metadata of the target activity feedback event to the operation and maintenance end so that the operation and maintenance end displays the metadata of the target activity feedback event.
In some possible embodiments, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may send metadata of the target activity feedback event to the operation and maintenance end 14 such that the operation and maintenance end 14 exposes the metadata of the target activity feedback event.
Illustratively, the analyzing the target activity feedback event is a prize delivery event, where it is assumed that metadata of the prize delivery event includes that the target user is user a, an authorized mobile phone number of the target user is "153 x 4731", and a prize receiving address of the target user is "xx province xx city xx district x span x unit". The event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may transmit metadata of the prize transmission event to the operation and maintenance end 14 such that the operation and maintenance end 14 presents the metadata of the prize transmission event. Fig. 5 is a schematic illustration showing metadata of a prize delivery event according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in fig. 5, after the operation and maintenance end 14 receives the metadata of the prize transmission event sent by the event center server 13, the operation and maintenance end 14 may display the metadata of the prize transmission event, where the metadata includes that the target user is user a, the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is "153 x 4731", and the prize collection address of the target user is "xx province xx city xx district x-span x unit".
In the implementation, after receiving the query instruction for the target activity feedback event, the event center server 13 of the marketing cloud system 10 may send the metadata of the target activity feedback event to the operation and maintenance end, so that the operation and maintenance end displays the metadata of the target activity feedback event, thereby implementing backtracking and tracing of the target activity feedback event, and improving the management efficiency of the event center server 13 on the target activity feedback event.
Referring to fig. 6, fig. 6 is a schematic structural diagram of an event processing device according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in fig. 6, the event processing apparatus may include: a receiving unit 61, an extracting unit 62, a determining unit 63, a detecting unit 64, and a processing unit 65.
In a specific implementation, the receiving unit 61 is configured to receive a target activity feedback event sent by the service server for a target user, where the target activity feedback event is generated when the service server determines that a preset target participation result is generated by a target user participating in a target activity according to user participation information of the target user participating in the target activity, the user participation information is extracted from an activity participation event received by the service server from a client, and the activity participation event is generated by the client. And an extracting unit 62, configured to extract an event type of the target activity feedback event. The determining unit 63 is configured to determine, according to an event type of the target activity feedback event, a target validity check policy corresponding to the target activity feedback event from a preset validity check policy set, where the validity check policy set includes a correspondence between the validity check policy and the event type. The detecting unit 64 is configured to detect whether the target activity feedback event is legal according to the target validity checking policy. The processing unit 65 is configured to encapsulate the target activity feedback event if it is determined that the target activity feedback event is legal, store metadata of the encapsulated target activity feedback event to the event center server, and push the encapsulated target activity feedback event to the client through a dedicated subscription service of the target activity. And the processing unit 65 is configured to, if it is determined that the target activity feedback event is illegal, create an alarm message according to the obtained cause of the illegal verification, and send the alarm message to the operation and maintenance end, where the alarm message is used to indicate that the target activity feedback event is illegal.
In an alternative implementation, please refer to fig. 7, fig. 7 is a schematic diagram of still another structure of an event processing apparatus provided in an embodiment of the present application. As shown in fig. 7, the event processing apparatus may further include: an acquisition unit 66. The obtaining unit 66 is configured to obtain a historical activity participation record of the target user, where the historical activity participation record is an activity participation record corresponding to one or more historical activities that the target user has participated in, and the historical activity participation record is authorized to be cached and used by the target user. The processing unit 65 is configured to perform statistical analysis on the historical activity participation records, and determine the participation times corresponding to each of the one or more historical activities. A determining unit 63, configured to determine one or more first historical activities from the one or more historical activities according to the participation times corresponding to each of the one or more historical activities, where the participation times corresponding to each of the one or more first historical activities is equal to or greater than a preset number. A determining unit 63 for determining the history activity recently attended by the target user according to the history activity participation record and determining the history activity recently attended by the target user as the second history activity. A processing unit 65 for determining whether a second historical activity exists in the one or more first historical activities. The processing unit 65 is configured to determine the second historical activity as a target activity if it is determined that the second historical activity exists in the one or more first historical activities, and push the target activity to the target user through the client. The processing unit 65 is configured to determine, if it is determined that the second historical activity does not exist in the one or more first historical activities, determine a first historical activity with the largest number of participation from the one or more historical activities, determine the first historical activity with the largest number of participation as a target activity, and push the target activity to the target user through the client.
In an optional implementation manner, the target activity is a lottery activity, the event type of the target activity feedback event is a prize sending event, when the preset validity verification policy at least comprises a prize sending event and a target validity verification policy corresponding to the prize sending event, the target participation result is a prize of the target user, and the target validity verification policy corresponding to the prize sending event comprises one or more of whether the format of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user meets the target format, whether the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to the number of digits of the target, or whether the prize collecting address of the target user is legal.
In an alternative embodiment, the obtaining unit 66 is configured to obtain a first preset weight, a second preset weight, and a third preset weight corresponding to the three validity check policies, where the sum of the first preset weight, the second preset weight, and the third preset weight is 1, where the first preset weight, the second preset weight, and the third preset weight correspond to whether the format of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user meets the target format, whether the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to the target number of digits, and whether the prize receiving address of the target user is valid. And the determining unit 63 is configured to determine that the target activity feedback event is legal if it is determined that the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to the target number of digits. And the determining unit 63 is configured to determine that the target activity feedback event is illegal if it is determined that the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is not equal to the target number of digits.
In an alternative embodiment, subscribing to a service includes: one or more of a short message notification service, a mail notification service, or a user interface pop-up notification service.
In an alternative embodiment, the receiving unit 61 is configured to receive a query instruction for a target activity feedback event. The processing unit 65 is configured to send metadata of the target activity feedback event to the operation and maintenance end, so that the operation and maintenance end displays the metadata of the target activity feedback event.
Referring to fig. 8, fig. 8 is a schematic structural diagram of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present application. The electronic device may be an event center server in the above embodiment, and may be used to implement the steps of the event processing method based on event validity verification performed by the event center server described in the above embodiment. The electronic device may include: a processor 81, a memory 82 and a bus system 83.
Memory 82 includes, but is not limited to, RAM, ROM, EPROM or CD-ROM, which memory 82 is used to store related instructions and data. The memory 82 stores the following elements, executable modules or data structures, or a subset thereof, or an extended set thereof:
operation instructions: including various operational instructions for carrying out various operations.
Operating system: including various system programs for implementing various basic services and handling hardware-based tasks.
Only one memory is shown in fig. 8, but a plurality of memories may be provided as needed.
As shown in fig. 8, the electronic device may further include an input-output device 84, and the input-output device 84 may be a communication module or a transceiver circuit. In the embodiment of the present application, the input/output device 84 is used to perform the transceiving process of data or signaling such as the target activity feedback event involved in the embodiment.
The processor 81 may be a controller, CPU, general purpose processor, DSP, ASIC, FPGA or other programmable logic device, transistor logic device, hardware component, or any combination thereof. Which may implement or perform the various exemplary logic blocks, modules and circuits described in connection with the disclosure of embodiments of the present application. The processor 81 may also be a combination implementing computing functions, e.g. comprising one or more microprocessor combinations, a combination of a DSP and a microprocessor, etc.
In a specific application, the various components of the electronic device are coupled together by a bus system 83, wherein the bus system 83 may comprise a power bus, a control bus, a status signal bus, etc., in addition to a data bus. But for clarity of illustration the various buses are labeled as bus system 83 in fig. 8. For ease of illustration, only schematic illustrations are shown in fig. 8.
It should be noted that, in practical applications, the processor in the embodiments of the present application may be an integrated circuit chip, which has a signal processing capability. In implementation, the steps of the above method embodiments may be implemented by integrated logic circuits of hardware in a processor or instructions in software form. The processor may be a general purpose processor, a digital signal processor (digital signal Processor, DSP), an application specific integrated circuit (applicationspecific integrated circuit, ASIC), an off-the-shelf programmable gate array (field programmable gate array, FPGA) or other programmable logic device, discrete gate or transistor logic device, discrete hardware components. The disclosed methods, steps, and logic blocks in the embodiments of the present application may be implemented or performed.

Claims (9)

1. An event processing method based on event validity verification is characterized in that the method is applied to an event center server of a marketing cloud system, the marketing cloud system comprises a client, a service server, the event center server and an operation and maintenance end, the event center server is in communication connection with the client, the service server and the operation and maintenance end, and the service server is in communication connection with the client, the method comprises the following steps:
receiving a target activity feedback event sent by the service server and aiming at a target user, wherein the target activity feedback event is generated when the service server determines that the target user participates in the target activity to generate a preset target participation result according to user participation information of the target user participating in the target activity, the user participation information is extracted from an activity participation event received by the client by the service server, and the activity participation event is generated by the client;
Extracting event types of the target activity feedback event, wherein the event types comprise a prize sending event, a point acquisition event or a point exchange event;
determining a target validity verification policy corresponding to the target activity feedback event from a preset validity verification policy set according to the event type of the target activity feedback event, wherein the validity verification policy set comprises a corresponding relation between the validity verification policy and the event type;
detecting whether the target activity feedback event is legal or not according to the target validity verification strategy;
if the target activity feedback event is determined to be legal, packaging the target activity feedback event, storing metadata of the packaged target activity feedback event to the event center server, and pushing the packaged target activity feedback event to the target user through the exclusive subscription service of the target activity;
receiving a query instruction for the target activity feedback event;
transmitting metadata of the target activity feedback event to the operation and maintenance end so that the operation and maintenance end displays the metadata of the target activity feedback event;
If the target activity feedback event is determined to be illegal, an alarm message is created according to the obtained verification illegal reason, and the alarm message is sent to the operation and maintenance end, wherein the alarm message is used for indicating that the target activity feedback event is illegal.
2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the method further comprises:
acquiring a historical activity participation record of the target user, wherein the historical activity participation record is an activity participation record corresponding to one or more historical activities in which the target user has participated, and the historical activity participation record is authorized to be cached and used by the target user;
performing statistical analysis on the historical activity participation records to determine the participation times corresponding to each historical activity in the one or more historical activities;
determining one or more first historical activities from the one or more historical activities according to the participation times corresponding to each historical activity in the one or more historical activities, wherein the participation times corresponding to each first historical activity in the one or more first historical activities is equal to or greater than a preset number;
Determining the historical activity recently attended by the target user according to the historical activity participation record, and determining the historical activity recently attended by the target user as a second historical activity;
determining whether the second historical activity exists in the one or more first historical activities;
if it is determined that the second historical activities exist in the one or more first historical activities, determining the second historical activities as target activities, and pushing the target activities to the target user through the client;
and if the second historical activities are not existed in the one or more first historical activities, determining the first historical activity with the largest participation frequency from the one or more historical activities, determining the first historical activity with the largest participation frequency as a target activity, and pushing the target activity to the target user through the client.

The method of claim 1, wherein the target activity is a lottery activity, the event type of the target activity feedback event is a prize delivery event, the set of preset validity check policies includes at least the prize delivery event and a target validity check policy corresponding to the prize delivery event, the target participation result is that the target user wins a prize, and the target validity check policy corresponding to the prize delivery event includes one or more of whether a format of an authorized mobile phone number of the target user satisfies a target format, whether a number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to a target number of digits, or whether a prize collection address of the target user is valid.

acquiring a first preset weight, a second preset weight and a third preset weight corresponding to three validity check strategies, wherein the first preset weight, the second preset weight and the third preset weight are 1, and the first preset weight, the second preset weight and the third preset weight are corresponding to whether the format of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user meets the target format or not and whether the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to the target digits and whether the prize collecting address of the target user is legal or not;
determining a first detection value according to a result obtained by detecting whether the format of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user meets the target format and the first preset weight;
determining a second detection value according to a result obtained by detecting whether the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to the number of the target digits and the second preset weight;
Determining a third detection value according to a result obtained by detecting whether the prize collection address of the target user is legal or not and the third preset weight;
determining a summation detection value of the target activity feedback event according to the first detection value, the second detection value and the third detection value;
judging whether the added detection value is smaller than a preset detection value or not;
if the added detection value is smaller than the preset detection value, determining that the target activity feedback event is illegal;
and if the sum detection value is greater than or equal to the preset detection value, determining that the target activity feedback event is legal.

The method of claim 3, wherein the target validity check policy is whether a number of digits of an authorized phone number of the target user is equal to a target number of digits, and the detecting whether the target activity feedback event is valid based on the target validity check policy comprises:
acquiring an authorized mobile phone number of the target user according to the user participation information;
determining whether the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to the target number of digits;
if the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is equal to the target number of digits, determining that the target activity feedback event is legal;
And if the number of digits of the authorized mobile phone number of the target user is not equal to the target number of digits, determining that the target activity feedback event is illegal.
6. The method of claim 1, wherein the dedicated subscription service comprises: one or more of a short message notification service, a mail notification service, or a user interface pop-up notification service.

the processing unit is used for sending the metadata of the target activity feedback event to the operation and maintenance end so that the operation and maintenance end displays the metadata of the target activity feedback event;
and the processing unit is used for creating an alarm message according to the obtained verification illegal reason and sending the alarm message to the operation and maintenance end if the target activity feedback event is determined to be illegal, wherein the alarm message is used for indicating that the target activity feedback event is illegal.
