Detailed Description
For the purpose of making the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present invention more apparent, the following detailed description of the embodiments of the present invention will be given with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be understood that the detailed description and specific examples, while indicating and illustrating the invention, are not intended to limit the invention.
The SIM card (Subscriber Identity Module ) is one of the core functional modules of the mobile network service, and bears the important responsibility of the mobile terminal for network access authentication. In recent years, with the development of integration and form diversity of mobile terminals (particularly terminals represented by internet of things devices), new demands for miniaturization, vibration resistance, high temperature resistance, moisture resistance and the like are continually put forward for SIM cards. Traditional SIM cards have evolved in multiple stages with gradually miniaturized dimensions, but still cannot meet the stringent space limitation requirements of some terminals. Under the background, an embedded encapsulated SIM card, namely an eSIM card, capable of meeting the three-proofing requirement of a terminal is generated. The eSIM is based on cryptography technology, so that the operator subscription data is separated from hardware in the production, storage and delivery links, exists in the form of electronic data, and is supported to be remotely configured to a terminal through a network. The data structure and function of the core Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) of the eSIM are completely identical to those of a conventional SIM card. In order to meet the electronic requirements, the eSIM is different from the traditional SIM in terms of technical implementation, production mode and use mode. Such as requiring the terminal to have built-in security hardware for secure storage of electronic cards, such as eUICC (embedded universal integrated circuit card). Subscription data are electronized and can be downloaded and installed to the user terminal through a network, so that the subscription data are more suitable for hardware requirements of various novel terminals, and user experience and operation efficiency are effectively improved through remote online use and management modes.
The eSIM technology applied to the M2M service is called eUICC remote management in the GSMA international standard, in which the remote management of subscription data of the eUICC is implemented through remote interaction between the eUICC and a service platform, a terminal only plays a role of data transparent transmission as a channel of data transmission, and cannot directly obtain service event behaviors of the eUICC, and USAT (USIM Application Toolkit ) provided by the eUICC is required, wherein the USIM is Universal Subscriber Identity Module, and a global user identity module) instructs to obtain basic remote management events occurring around subscription data files (i.e., profiles), including creation and deletion of the profiles. When events such as Profile creation, profile deletion and the like occur on the eUICC, the eUICC synchronizes the occurrence of the events to the terminal by initiating an active USAT command, and the terminal obtains the change of the deployment state of the Profile on the eUICC in this way.
Because the form of the eUICC is introduced, the relation between the terminal and the eUICC increases more possibility, and the change of Profile can mean the comprehensive change of the characteristics and the capability of the eUICC, the terminal can strengthen interaction aiming at the state of the eUICC, so that the terminal can better adapt to the change brought by the eUICC, master the updated capability of the eUICC in time and provide a reliable and accurate basis for the service realized by the mutual cooperation of the machine and the card. As described above, in the prior art, the terminal may acquire the basic management event occurring on the eUICC card, but the overall operation surrounding the Profile includes adding and deleting, and the change of the Profile attribute caused by the change of the Profile is also very important, though it belongs to some specific details, regarding the scope and extent of the interaction flow and the function implementation of the terminal and the eUICC card, especially regarding the STK/USAT characteristics (i.e., USIM application tool mechanism) directly acting on the interface of the machine card, it has a significant influence on the subsequent card-oriented service for the terminal, and it is necessary for the synchronization of the state change in this aspect, however, the current technology does not support the requirement of the terminal, that is, the terminal cannot learn the situation that the corresponding USAT mechanism changes when the Profile state of the eUICC changes. Aiming at the requirements, the invention provides a scheme for further providing a state update condition for synchronously acquiring the USAT characteristic corresponding to the Profile for the terminal on the basis of interaction between the existing terminal and the eUICC on the integral state change of the Profile. The following is a detailed description of specific embodiments.
It should be noted that the terms "first," "second," and the like in the description and the claims of the present invention and the above-described drawings are used for distinguishing between similar objects and not necessarily for describing a particular sequential or chronological order; in addition, the embodiments of the present invention and the features in the embodiments may be arbitrarily combined with each other without collision.
In the following description, suffixes such as "module", "component", or "unit" for representing elements are used only for facilitating the description of the present invention, and have no specific meaning per se. Thus, "module," "component," or "unit" may be used in combination.
Fig. 1 is a flow chart of a USAT characteristic updating method according to an embodiment of the present invention. The method is applied to the eUICC, as shown in fig. 1, and includes the following steps S101 to S104.
S101, responding to the change of the Profile, and generating a first command containing a Profile management operation generation message.
In this step, when the Profile is changed (e.g., the Profile is created and the Profile is deleted), an active command, i.e., a first command, operated by the eUICC initiates the USAT feature update procedure.
The first command may be named eUICC Operation, and its structure is defined as the prior art, and will not be described here.
S102, the first command is sent to the terminal, after the terminal receives the first command, the range and the content of the updated USAT characteristic which are required to be provided by the eUICC are determined, a USAT requirement indication is generated, and a response message of the first command is generated based on the USAT requirement indication and then returned to the eUICC. Wherein, the range of USAT characteristics refers to the characteristics of all USAT commands supported by the current eUICC, or the characteristics of the partially defined USAT commands supported by the current eUICC; the content of the USAT characteristics refers to the characteristics of which USAT commands are specifically supported by the current eUICC.
In this step, since the terminal receiving the first command may be a prior art terminal or a terminal supporting the newly increased demand, in order to be compatible with both the two types of terminals, a response (Terminal Response) message after the terminal receives the first command needs to be updated on the original basis to determine whether the terminal supports and needs to obtain the USAT characteristic capability updated by the eUICC, and the updated response message, that is, the response message of the first command, may be named Terminal Response (for eUICC Operation), and its structural definition may be as shown in table 1 below.
TABLE 1
Note that:
1) The command qualifier in the response is the same as the corresponding part of the first command, represents the specific operation of the eUICC of the command received at this time, and confirms that the operation content is the creation, deletion and the like of the Profile;
2) The "USAT requirement" is a new data object, and optionally, only exists when the terminal supports and needs to acquire USAT characteristic capability of the eUICC update (consistent with presence or absence of Profile identifier), which means that the terminal requires the eUICC to provide USAT characteristic capability of the current eUICC after Profile update, and includes three parts: the first part indicates whether the eUICC is required to provide a Profile identifier currently being enabled, and it should be noted that the Profile identifier is not necessarily the Profile identifier of the current command, if the current command is a Profile deletion, the Profile identifier in the response refers to the identifier of other profiles enabled after the Profile deletion in the command; the second part is a range (1 byte in length) representing the USAT characteristics required to be provided by the eUICC, "FF" representing characteristics of all USAT commands required to be provided for current eUICC support, the remaining "XX" representing characteristics of partially defined USAT commands required to be provided for current eUICC support, the number of defined characteristics being "XX", the specifically defined USAT command characteristics being defined in the third part (10 bytes in length); in the third section, each of the USAT requirement indication bits indicates a corresponding USAT command characteristic, and when the bit is "1", it indicates that the USAT command characteristic corresponding to the bit is required to be provided, and when the bit is "0", it indicates that the USAT command characteristic corresponding to the bit is not required to be provided (when the USAT requirement range is "FF", all valid bits are set to "1"), and the structure definition can be seen in the above table 1.
S103, receiving a response message of the first command, acquiring a USAT requirement indication, determining the support condition of the designated USAT command according to the USAT requirement indication, generating a USAT characteristic indication, and generating a second command based on the USAT characteristic indication.
In this step, after the terminal indicates, through the response message of the first command, that the eUICC is required to further provide the updated USAT characteristic of the current eUICC, the eUICC sends the specified corresponding USAT command characteristic to the terminal according to the terminal requirement, and for this purpose, the eUICC needs to add a new proactive command to carry the USAT command characteristic. The new command, namely the second command, is based on the response message of the first command, and provides whether the eUICC is currently supported for the designated USAT command or not for the terminal in a mode of a "USAT characteristic indication" field, when the eUICC is required to provide all USAT command characteristics, all supporting conditions of the commands need to be provided, and when the eUICC is required to provide the USAT command characteristics defined by part, only supporting conditions of USAT commands with USAT requirement indication of "1" are provided. The second command may be named USAT Status For eUICC and its structural definition may be as shown in table 2 below.
TABLE 2
1) The "Profile identification" is a conditional optional data object, which must exist when the response message to the first command described above requires the eUICC to provide an identification of the currently enabled Profile, indicating that the eUICC is currently enabled.
2) The "USAT characteristic indication" is an added data object, and is necessarily selected, and indicates that the eUICC supports the specified USAT command characteristic provided according to the response message requirement of the first command, wherein the "USAT characteristic indication" value part structure is associated with the "USAT requirement indication" value part in the response message of the first command, only bits set to "1" in the former are valid bits (the rest bits are invalid bits, and the support condition of the corresponding USAT command is not provided), each valid bit indicates whether the updated eUICC supports the corresponding USAT command characteristic, the bits are 1, and the eUICC does not support the USAT command characteristic corresponding to the bits.
S104, the second command is sent to the terminal, so that the terminal can process the USAT requirement indication and the USAT characteristic indication in a correlated way after receiving the second command, and the support condition of the specified USAT command is determined.
In this step, after receiving the second command, the terminal processes the USAT requirement indication and the USAT characteristic indication in a correlated manner, so as to determine the support condition of the designated USAT command, thereby obtaining the condition that the corresponding USAT characteristic changes when the Profile state of the eUICC changes.
In a specific embodiment, after step S104, the following step S105 is further included.
S105, receiving a response message of the second command; and the terminal generates a response message of the second command based on the execution condition of the second command and returns the response message to the eUICC.
In this embodiment, after the terminal obtains the support condition of the designated USAT command, the terminal also feeds back the execution condition of the corresponding second command to the eUICC, so that the eUICC knows that the terminal has acquired the updated USAT characteristic.
In one embodiment, step S103 includes the following steps S103a to S103d.
S103a, receiving a response message of the first command, and acquiring a USAT requirement indication; the terminal also determines whether the eUICC is required to provide the Profile identifier which is currently started after receiving the first command, and if so, generates a USAT requirement indication based on the range and the content of the updated USAT characteristic required to be provided by the eUICC and the Profile identifier which is required to be started currently;
s103b, determining the support condition of a designated USAT command and the Profile identifier which is currently started according to the USAT requirement indication;
s103c, generating a USAT characteristic indication based on the support condition of the designated USAT command and the Profile identifier which is currently being started;
S103d, generating a second command based on the USAT characteristic indication, so that the terminal acquires the Profile identifier which is currently enabled after receiving the second command generated based on the USAT characteristic indication.
In this embodiment, when the terminal supports and needs to acquire the USAT characteristic capability updated by the eUICC, the terminal may further require the eUICC to provide the Profile identifier currently being enabled, and the eUICC sends the Profile identifier currently being enabled to the terminal through the second command. The Profile identifier is not necessarily the Profile identifier of the current command (i.e. the first command), if the current command is a Profile deletion, the Profile identifier in the response message of the first command refers to the identifiers of other profiles enabled after the Profile deletion in the first command.
In a specific embodiment, after step S103a, the following step S103e is further included.
And S103e, carrying out message validity verification on the response message of the first command.
Accordingly, step S103b specifically includes: in response to the message validity verification passing in step S103a, a step of determining the support case of the specified USAT command and the Profile identification currently being enabled according to the USAT requirement indication is performed. Of course, if the message validity verification fails, the current flow is directly ended.
In this embodiment, the message validity verification can be performed on the condition that the eUICC is required to provide the specified USAT characteristic, and only if the verification is passed, the subsequent steps are executed, if the verification fails, it indicates that the requirement of the terminal for the eUICC to provide the USAT characteristic is wrong, the message is invalid, and the current flow is ended.
In one embodiment, step S103E includes the following steps E1 to E3.
E1. Comparing the length indication value that requires the eUICC to provide the updated range of USAT characteristics with the number of USAT commands specified;
E2. determining that the message validity verification is passed in response to the values of the two being the same;
E3. and responding to the difference of the values of the two values, and judging that the verification of the validity of the message fails.
In this embodiment, whether the message is valid is determined by whether the length indication value of the "USAT requirement" field in the "USAT requirement range" data object and the number of bits set to "1" in the "USAT requirement indication" field (i.e., the number of specified USAT commands) match in the response message to the first command, and if the two values are the same, the message is valid, and if the two values are different, the message is invalid.
In a specific embodiment, the step S103B of determining the support of the specified USAT command according to the USAT requirement indication includes the following steps B1 to B3.
B1. Determining USAT command characteristics of a support situation to be provided according to the USAT requirement indication;
B2. determining whether all USAT commands are supported after updating in response to characteristics of all USAT commands required to be supported by the current eUICC;
B3. in response to a characteristic of the partially defined USAT command requiring provision of current eUICC support, it is determined whether the partially defined USAT command is supported after updating.

It should be noted that the order of the steps is only a specific example provided for illustrating the embodiments of the present invention, the present invention is not limited to the order of the steps, and those skilled in the art may adjust the order of the steps as required in practical applications; and the sequence number of the steps is not limited to the execution sequence.
Fig. 2 is a flow chart of another USAT characteristic updating method according to an embodiment of the present invention. The method is applied to a terminal, as shown in fig. 2, and includes the following steps S201 to S204.
S201, receiving a first command sent by the eUICC; the method comprises the steps that an eUICC responds to change of Profile of subscription data, generates a first command containing Profile management operation occurrence information and sends the first command to a terminal;
in this step, when the Profile is changed (e.g., the Profile is created and the Profile is deleted), an active command operated by the eUICC, i.e., a first command, initiates a USAT characteristic update procedure;
s202, determining the range and the content of the updated USAT characteristic required by the eUICC, generating a USAT requirement indication, and generating a response message of the first command based on the USAT requirement indication;
in this step, the range of USAT properties refers to the properties of all USAT commands supported by the current eUICC, or the properties of the partially defined USAT commands supported by the current eUICC; the content of the USAT characteristics refers to the characteristics of which USAT commands are specifically supported by the current eUICC; the structure of the response message of the first command may be as shown in the foregoing table 1;
s203, returning the response message of the first command to the eUICC, so that the eUICC receives the response message of the first command, acquires a USAT requirement indication, determines the support condition of the specified USAT command according to the USAT requirement indication, generates a USAT characteristic indication, generates a second command based on the USAT characteristic indication, and sends the second command to the terminal;
In this step, after the terminal indicates that the eUICC is required to further provide the updated USAT characteristic of the current eUICC through the response message of the first command, the eUICC sends the specified corresponding USAT command characteristic to the terminal through a second command according to the terminal requirement; the structure of the second command may be as shown in the aforementioned table 2;
s204, receiving the second command, and carrying out association processing on the USAT requirement indication and the USAT characteristic indication to determine the support condition of the specified USAT command.
In a specific embodiment, the following step S205 is further included after step S204.
S205, generating a response message of the second command based on the execution condition of the second command, and returning the response message of the second command to the eUICC.
In this embodiment, after the terminal obtains the support condition of the designated USAT command, the terminal also feeds back the execution condition of the corresponding second command to the eUICC, so that the eUICC knows that the terminal has acquired the updated USAT characteristic.
In a specific embodiment, after step S201, the following step S206 is further included.
S206, judging whether the updated USAT characteristic of the eUICC needs to be acquired according to the self demand, if so, executing the step S202, namely executing the step of determining the range and the content of the updated USAT characteristic required to be provided by the eUICC; if not, generating a general response message of the first command based on the execution condition of the first command and returning to the eUICC.
In this embodiment, the terminal may further determine, according to its own requirement, whether to acquire the USAT characteristic of the updated eUICC, and execute the subsequent step only if the terminal needs it, or, according to a general processing manner, generate, based on the execution condition of the first command, a general response message of the first command, and return the response message to the eUICC.
In one embodiment, step S202 specifically includes the following steps S202a to S202c.
S202a, determining whether the eUICC is required to provide a Profile identifier which is currently enabled, and determining the range and the content of the updated USAT characteristic which are required to be provided by the eUICC;
s202b, generating a USAT request indication based on the range and the content of the USAT characteristic which are required to be updated and the Profile identifier which is required to be started currently and provided by the eUICC in response to the requirement that the eUICC provides the Profile identifier which is started currently, generating a response message of the first command based on the USAT request indication, so that the eUICC determines the support condition of the specified USAT command and the Profile identifier which is started currently according to the USAT request indication after receiving the response message of the first command generated based on the USAT request indication, and generating a USAT characteristic indication;
S202c, generating a USAT requirement indication based on the range and the content of the USAT characteristic, which are updated, of the request of the eUICC, generating a response message of the first command based on the USAT requirement indication, and enabling the eUICC to determine the support condition of the designated USAT command according to the USAT requirement indication after receiving the response message of the first command generated based on the USAT requirement indication.
Accordingly, after receiving the second command in step S204, the method further includes: the Profile identification currently being enabled is obtained.
In a specific embodiment, the associating processing of the USAT requirement indication and the USAT characteristic indication in step S204 includes:
Acquiring a USAT requirement indicating bit and a USAT characteristic indicating bit, wherein the USAT requirement indicating bit indicates whether the USAT command characteristic corresponding to the indicating bit is required to be provided or not, and the USAT characteristic indicating bit indicates whether the updated eUICC supports the USAT command characteristic corresponding to the indicating bit or not;
calculating a bit phase of the USAT requirement indicating bit and the USAT characteristic indicating bit to obtain a designated USAT command characteristic; or reading the value of the corresponding USAT characteristic indicating bit according to the valid bit of the USAT requirement indicating bit to obtain the designated USAT command characteristic.
In this embodiment, the terminal performs association processing on a "USAT requirement indication" field in the response message of the first command generated by the terminal and a "USAT characteristic indication" field in the second command sent by the eUICC, specifically performs association and comparison processing on a USAT requirement indication bit and a USAT characteristic indication bit, for example, performs calculation on a bit phase to obtain a specified USAT command characteristic, or reads a value of a corresponding USAT characteristic indication bit according to setting of the USAT requirement indication bit as "1", so as to obtain the specified USAT command characteristic, thereby determining a supporting condition of the specified USAT command.
