本公开提供一种通信方法和通信装置。所述通信方法可以包括：对第一连接和第二连接进行感测，其中，所述第一连接和所述第二连接属于非同时发送接收NSTR连接对，其中，所述第一连接和第二连接在本连接下进行感知，接收的PPDU为inter‑PPDU或intra‑PPDU；基于所述PPDU类型判断的结果，确定是否更新对应的网络分配向量计时器NAV timer和是否在第一连接上发送数据。本公开的示例实施例提供的技术方案能够提高频谱利用率。
