[ detailed description ] A
For better understanding of the technical solutions in the present specification, the following detailed description of the embodiments of the present invention is provided with reference to the accompanying drawings.
It should be understood that the described embodiments are only a few embodiments of the present specification, and not all embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be obtained by a person skilled in the art without making any inventive step on the basis of the embodiments given in the present description, fall within the scope of protection of the present invention.
The terminology used in the embodiments of the invention is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of the specification. As used in the examples of the present invention and the appended claims, the singular forms "a," "an," and "the" are intended to include the plural forms as well, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.
In the embodiment of the invention, the information to be displayed is displayed on the auxiliary display screen before the shutdown or the dormancy is executed, and then other parts except the auxiliary display screen are controlled to be shut down or dormant, thereby achieving the technical effect of reducing the power consumption.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart of an information display method according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 1, the method includes:
step 101, determining whether information to be displayed exists when shutdown or hibernation is executed. The image forming apparatus is provided with a main display and a sub display. The image forming apparatus may be a printer, a copier, a scanner, a facsimile machine, a multifunction printer, a copier, a facsimile machine, or the like. The main display and the sub display may be specifically provided on an operation panel of the image forming apparatus. Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram of an operation panel of an image forming apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in fig. 2, the main display is located on the left side of the operation panel, and the sub display is located on the right side of the operation panel. Alternatively, the display device may be configured to have the main display screen at the upper side and the sub display screen at the lower side, and the like, which are not specifically limited in the embodiment of the present invention. The main display screen and the sub display screen may be rectangular, rounded rectangular, oval, circular, and the like, and the embodiment of the present invention is not limited in particular.
In some embodiments, the image forming apparatus may trigger shutdown or hibernation for different reasons. For example, the image forming apparatus may be shut down to prevent further expansion of the damage of the device due to occurrence of a fatal error or malfunction. Alternatively, the user may also trigger the image forming apparatus to shut down by pressing a shutdown key. Alternatively, the sleep may be automatically triggered when the image forming apparatus standby time exceeds a preset threshold. Therefore, the information to be displayed can be determined according to the current state of the image forming apparatus when shutdown or hibernation is triggered. For example, if there is a fatal error in the image forming apparatus, the information to be displayed may be failure information. Alternatively, if there is no fatal error in the image forming apparatus, general information such as consumable information device information can be displayed.
And 102, if the information to be displayed exists, controlling the auxiliary display screen to correspondingly display the information to be displayed. As described in the embodiment of step 101, the information to be displayed corresponding to different states of the image forming apparatus is different. Specifically, when there is a fatal error or malfunction of the image forming apparatus, such as a hardware damage or the like, the information to be displayed may contain malfunction information and corresponding solution guidance information. Fig. 3 is a schematic view of a secondary display screen according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 3, the secondary display screen correspondingly displays information to be displayed, which specifically includes fault information: ADF module exception, corresponding error code: 0200-002, and corresponding solution guidance information: please contact after-market services 400-XXX-XXXX.
Alternatively, when the image forming apparatus does not have a fatal error or malfunction, the information to be displayed may contain consumable information or device information of the image forming apparatus or the like. The consumable information can be the residual amount of each color of the toner cartridge, the residual paper amount in the paper box and the like. Fig. 4 is a schematic diagram of another sub-display provided by the embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 4, the toner cartridge contains four colors: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. And the auxiliary display screen correspondingly displays the residual quantity of the four colors in the toner cartridge. At the same time, the sub display also displays device information such as the device name and IP address of the image forming apparatus.
And step 103, controlling the main display screen and other parts except the secondary display screen to stop working so as to execute shutdown or hibernation.
In some embodiments, the secondary display screen may be implemented as a TFT display screen, an LCD display screen, an OLED display screen, a bias liquid crystal screen, an LED segment code screen, or other display devices with low power consumption. And the auxiliary display screen is driven by the independent power supply and the control unit, and when the information to be displayed is displayed, the auxiliary display screen can be controlled to correspondingly display the information to be displayed in a low power consumption mode based on the independent power supply and the control unit. And then controlling other parts except the secondary display screen to stop working, and only keeping the secondary display screen powered on, thereby reducing the power consumption of the image forming device. In particular, the main display may be driven by the control panel and the secondary display may be driven by a separate control unit (e.g., a micro control unit MCU). In addition, the control panel and the control part of the image forming apparatus can both obtain the control right of the sub display screen. When the image forming device executes dormancy or shutdown, the control part informs the control panel of an event about entering dormancy or shutdown, after the control panel receives the event, the control panel controls the auxiliary display screen to display information to be displayed through the MCU, and then the control panel informs the control part of finishing displaying. The control part takes over the power supply and control of the auxiliary display screen, then cuts off the power supply of the control panel and continues to execute the dormancy or shutdown operation. Because the auxiliary display screen needs to be maintained by a power supply, the auxiliary display screen can be provided with an independent power supply such as a battery or a solar panel and the like so as to maintain the display of the auxiliary display screen.
Optionally, the image forming apparatus may also update the information to be displayed at regular time. For example, the remaining amount of each color in the toner cartridge is detected at preset time intervals, and the consumable information in the information to be displayed is updated according to the detection result.
In some embodiments, the secondary display screen may also be a display screen based on electronic paper display technology, such as an ink screen or the like. The electronic paper display technology is a display technology based on electronic ink. It has the characteristic of maintaining the display content after power failure. Therefore, when the auxiliary display screen is an ink screen, the information to be displayed can be displayed by the auxiliary display screen before the power-off, and then other components except the auxiliary display screen are controlled to stop working and the connection between the auxiliary display screen and the power supply is cut off, so that the auxiliary display screen can keep displaying the information to be displayed.
Specifically, when the image forming apparatus needs to be powered off or hibernated, the control portion of the image forming apparatus notifies the control panel of an event that the image forming apparatus is going to enter the hibernation or power off state, and after the control panel receives the event, the control panel operates the sub display to display information to be displayed. After that, the control panel informs the control part of the completion of the display, and the control part cuts off the power supply of the operation panel and continues to execute the dormancy or shutdown operation. Compared with the embodiment, the method can display the information to be displayed without power consumption under the condition that the whole image forming device is dormant or shut down. Alternatively, the ink screen may be a three-color ink screen or a single-color ink screen in order to reduce the cost of the image forming apparatus.
In some embodiments, when the wake-up instruction is received, the main display screen and the secondary display screen are controlled to be powered on so as to wake up the main display screen and the secondary display screen, and whether to continue to display the information to be displayed is determined according to a trigger mode of the wake-up instruction. Specifically, when the image forming apparatus is awakened again or turned on, the control portion receives an awakening instruction, controls the main display screen and the sub display screen to be powered on, and sends the awakening instruction to the control panel, and the control panel awakens the main display screen and the sub display screen after receiving the awakening instruction. Then, the control part determines whether to change the display content of the secondary display screen according to the triggering mode of the awakening command.
Optionally, when the trigger mode of the wake-up instruction is the first trigger mode, the information to be displayed may be continuously displayed on the secondary display screen. Or, the information to be displayed is updated. For example, when a print job is received via a network or a Universal Serial Bus (USB), the print job may be directly executed without changing display contents (toner cartridge status, paper status, etc.) of the sub-display, thereby reducing power consumption of the image forming apparatus. Optionally, when the wake-up instruction is received, the control part checks whether the information to be displayed changes, and if so, the updated information to be displayed is displayed, for example, the information to be displayed is consumable information, and the image forming apparatus may scan the remaining amount of each color in the toner cartridge, the number of paper sheets in the paper box, and the like when receiving the wake-up instruction, so as to update the consumable information displayed on the secondary display screen.
Optionally, a capacitive screen, a resistive screen, and the like may be added to the secondary display screen, so that the secondary display screen has a touch function. And when the triggering mode of the awakening instruction is a second triggering mode, replacing the information to be displayed on the auxiliary display screen with preset information, wherein the preset information at least comprises the virtual keyboard. Fig. 5 and fig. 6 are schematic diagrams of a secondary display screen according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 5 and 6, the user can operate the image forming apparatus based on the virtual keyboard displayed on the sub display screen. For example, when the image forming apparatus enters a sleep mode, the sub display screen displays consumable information. And then, after the touch operation of the user is detected by the auxiliary display screen, the displayed consumable information is changed into a virtual keyboard, and the consumable information can be displayed by the main display screen. Optionally, when the image forming apparatus is in a standby state, the secondary display screen displays the virtual keyboard in a normal state, so as to replace the physical keyboard design in the prior art. The user can set the keys and the layout of the virtual keyboard in a self-defined way, and the display, the hiding and the appearance content of each key can be changed. The customized design can also be carried out according to the requirements of users under the condition of not changing hardware, mechanical structures and the like.
In some embodiments, when the image forming apparatus is in a sleep state, a print job may be received, and job information for the job may be correspondingly displayed while the sleep state is maintained. Optionally, when the print job is an encrypted job, the corresponding prompt information may also be displayed. Fig. 7 is a schematic view of a secondary display screen according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 7, the sub display screen displays prompt information and corresponding two-dimensional code information, which the user needs to authenticate by scanning in order to execute an encrypted print job.
In some embodiments, the information to be displayed can be updated regularly. For example, if the information to be displayed is consumable information, the image forming apparatus may periodically scan the remaining amount of each color in the toner cartridge, the number of sheets in the paper cassette, and the like, so as to update the consumable information displayed on the sub display screen.
