In addition, when it is detected that the target video stops playing, the movie information of the target video may also be pulled from the server, and stored in the disk, where the movie information of the target video may include a video poster, identification information, and the like of the target video, as shown in fig. 1 e.
Optionally, in this embodiment, the target media content includes a target video; the target video comprises a preference video selected from candidate videos based on the historical playing behavior information of the target object.
Wherein the candidate video may be a video in a content database of a media content application.
Specifically, in this embodiment, before the step "when the start of the media content application is detected, the presenting an application start page" may further include:
analyzing the historical playing behavior information of the target object to obtain preference characteristic information of the target object;
selecting a target video from the candidate videos according to the preference characteristic information;
and storing the target video to the preset storage area.
The historical playing behavior information of the target object may include historical videos that the target object has viewed in the media content application, and the personal viewing preference of the target object may be obtained by analyzing the historical videos, and then the recommended video is selected from the candidate videos based on the personal viewing preference.
The historical playing behavior information is analyzed, specifically, feature extraction can be performed on the watched historical videos to obtain video feature information of each historical video, and for example, feature extraction can be performed through a neural network model; then, clustering is carried out on the video feature information of each historical video, and preference feature information of the target object is obtained.
The step of selecting the target video from the candidate videos according to the preference feature information may include:
extracting video characteristic information of each candidate video;
calculating the similarity between the video characteristic information of each candidate video and the preference characteristic information;
and selecting a target video from the candidate videos according to the similarity.
The calculating of the similarity between the video feature information of the candidate video and the preference feature information may specifically be calculating a vector distance between the video feature information of the candidate video and the preference feature information, and determining the similarity between the video feature information of the candidate video and the preference feature information according to the vector distance. The smaller the vector distance, the greater the similarity; conversely, the larger the vector distance, the smaller the similarity.
The candidate videos with the similarity larger than the preset similarity can be used as target videos; the candidate video with the largest similarity may also be used as the target video, which is not limited in this embodiment.
In this embodiment, when the target video is a preferred video selected from candidate videos according to the historical playing behavior information of the target object, the target video also needs to be cached in a preset storage area before the media content application is started at this time, but for the preferred video, the time for pulling and storing the data can be freely controlled.
Optionally, in this embodiment, the media content recommendation method may further include:
selecting new recommended media content based on the historical playing behavior information of the target object when the current time meets a preset updating time condition;
and updating the target media content according to the new recommended media content.
The preset update time condition may be set according to an actual situation, which is not limited in this embodiment. For example, the preset update time condition may be set to be half an hour between two updates. After the new target media content is pulled, the related content information of the target media content can be stored in a preset storage area.
In a specific scenario, as shown in fig. 1f, after each launch of the media content application, a recommendation pull task for the target video (specifically, the preference video) is also launched. Specifically, whether the time between the current time and the last target video pulling time exceeds half an hour can be detected, if yes, identification information (such as a nickname) of a target object is read, historical playing behavior information watched by the target object is obtained according to the identification information of the target object, a new recommended video is selected from candidate videos according to the historical playing behavior information, the new recommended video is stored in a preset storage area (specifically, a disk) as the target video, and a new round of updating of the target video is continuously waited; if not, continuing to wait until the time for pulling the target video last time exceeds half an hour. In this way, in the next starting of the media content application, the latest video information (such as a video clip or a video poster at a specified position) of the target video can be pulled from the preset storage area to be played and displayed on the application starting page.
Optionally, in this embodiment, the application launch page further includes a confirmation display control; the step "presenting the content information of the target media content in response to the triggering operation for the application launching page" may include:
in response to the trigger operation aiming at the confirmation display control, displaying a content description page corresponding to the target media content, wherein the content description page comprises a content display control and content description information displayed by the target content;
and presenting the target media content in response to the operation of the content presentation control.
The trigger operation on the confirmation display control may specifically be a click operation on the confirmation display control, which is not limited in this embodiment. The operation on the content presentation control may specifically be a click operation on the content presentation control.
As shown in (b) and (d) in fig. 1c, the icon corresponding to "click ok key to learn details" may specifically be a confirmation presentation control, and based on a click operation on the icon, a content description page of the target video may be presented.

In some embodiments, the step of presenting the content information of the target media content in response to the triggering operation for the application launching page may include:
acquiring identification information of the target media content from a preset storage area based on the triggering operation of the application starting page;

The target scene in which the target object is located may be a work scene, a learning scene, and the like. The embodiment can push the content of the splash screen by combining the scene where the target object is located and the historical playing behavior information.
For example, the starting time of the media content application is two afternoon times of wednesday, and it is determined that the target object is immature, it may be determined that the current scene of the target object is most likely to be class in a classroom, and assuming that the historical playing behavior information of the target object includes a learning-class video and a game-class video, the learning-class target video may be selected from the video database for display.
In a specific scenario, as shown in fig. 1g, with the media content recommendation method provided in this embodiment, when a media content application is started, it may be determined whether to display a splash screen (i.e., an application start page) according to an operation of a user, if the user selects to skip the splash screen, an application home page (i.e., a home page) of the media content application is displayed, and if the user does not skip the splash screen, related video information of a target video stored when the media content application is used last time may be read from a magnetic disk (i.e., a preset storage area); specifically, if the content display type of the splash screen is a poster type (i.e., a still image display type), a video poster of a target video can be pulled from a disk to display the video poster on an application startup page; if the content display type of the splash screen is a video type (namely a dynamic video display type), a target video clip of a target video can be pulled from a disk, and the target video clip is displayed on an application starting page; and displaying the application main page of the media content application after the recommended content of the application starting page is displayed.
As can be seen from the above, in this embodiment, when the start of a media content application is detected, an application start page is displayed, where the application start page includes a recommended picture, the recommended picture is a picture associated with target media content, the target media content is recommended media content determined based on historical play behavior information of a target object, the recommended media content includes one of historical play media content or preferred media content, and the preferred media content is media content in which the attention of the target object is higher than a preset value; and in response to the trigger operation aiming at the application starting page, displaying the content information of the target media content. According to the content recommending method and device, the content recommended by the application starting page can be determined based on the historical playing behavior information of the target object, the accuracy of content recommendation in the application starting page is improved, and the click rate of the user on the content recommended by the application starting page is further improved.
According to the method described in the foregoing embodiment, the following will be described in further detail by way of example in which the media content recommendation device is specifically integrated in a terminal.
An embodiment of the present application provides a method for recommending media content, and as shown in fig. 2, a specific process of the method for recommending media content may be as follows:
201. when the starting of the video application is detected, the terminal displays an application starting page, the application starting page comprises a recommended picture, the recommended picture is a picture associated with a target video, the target video is a recommended video determined from candidate videos based on historical playing behavior information of a target object, the recommended video comprises one of historical playing videos or preference videos, and the preference videos are videos of which the attention degree of the target object is higher than a preset value.
The application Launch page is also called a splash Screen (Launch Screen), and is specifically a page that is quickly presented when an application program is launched, and is a page that can be operated in the application program. In the related art, the flashing screen is generally used for showing brands, advertisements, activities and the like. However, the user is generally rather averse to the splash screen advertisement, so that the click rate of the content recommended by the application launching page is low.
According to the embodiment, the picture associated with the target video can be used as the recommended content of the application starting page, the target video is determined according to the historical playing behavior information of the user, and the click rate of the user on the recommended content of the application starting page is improved by combining the historical playing behavior information of the user with the splash screen.
The historical playing behavior information may specifically include a historical video watched by a target object (user), a video that the target object has not finished watching last time, and the like, which is not limited in this embodiment.
In the application launching page, the recommendation screen can be displayed in a static manner, for example, the recommendation screen can be a video poster of a target video; in addition, the recommendation screen may also be dynamic, for example, the recommendation screen may be a certain video clip of the target video.
Optionally, in this embodiment, the recommended picture includes a video picture of a target video clip in the target video.
The target video segment may be a forecast video segment, or may also be a climax segment or a beginning segment of a video in the target video, which is not limited in this embodiment. The climax sections of the target video can be determined according to the number of the video barrages or the music rhythm.
Optionally, in this embodiment, the recommendation screen includes a video content description screen of the target video, and the video content description screen includes description information of the target video.
Optionally, in this embodiment, the target video includes a video that the target object has not finished watching in a historical time period.
In a specific scenario, since the splash screen is the first page (picture) displayed when the application is started, and most program logic is not initialized for the application, it is relatively difficult to "download the recommended content in real time when the application is started, and display the downloaded recommended content on the application start page". According to the method and the device, the recommended content can be cached in advance when the video application is used for the last time, so that the recommended content cached last time is directly pulled in the starting of the video application at this time, and the recommended content is displayed on the application starting page without being downloaded and displayed in real time.
It can be understood that, regardless of whether the target video is a video that the target object has not finished watching within a historical time period or a video that the target object may be interested in, the related video information of the target video may be pre-stored in the preset storage area in the historical use process of the video application, so that in the starting of the video application of this time, the related video information of the target video that needs to be displayed may be directly extracted from the preset storage area and displayed on the application starting page as the recommended content.
Optionally, in this embodiment, the target video includes a preference video selected from candidate videos based on the historical play behavior information of the target object.
Specifically, in this embodiment, before the step "when the start of the video application is detected, the displaying an application start page", the method may further include:
analyzing the historical playing behavior information of the target object to obtain preference characteristic information of the target object;
selecting a target video from the candidate videos according to the preference characteristic information;
and storing the target video to the preset storage area.
The historical playing behavior information of the target object can include historical videos watched by the target object in the video application, personal watching preferences of the target object can be obtained by analyzing the historical videos, and then recommended videos are selected from the candidate videos based on the personal watching preferences.
202. And the terminal responds to the trigger operation aiming at the application starting page and displays the video information of the target video.
The triggering operation on the application start page may specifically be a click operation on the application start page, which is not limited in this embodiment.
The video information of the target video may include video content of the target video, such as video content description information, a target video segment, and the like, which is not limited in this embodiment.
Optionally, in this embodiment, the target video includes a video that the target object has not finished watching in a historical time period; the step "in response to the triggering operation for the application start page, presenting the video information of the target video" may include:
and in response to the trigger operation aiming at the application starting page, displaying an associated video segment in the target video, wherein the associated video segment is a video segment associated with a target video segment which is not finished to be watched in the target video.
The associated video segment may be the target video segment itself, or may be a video segment adjacent to a time period corresponding to the target video segment, which is not limited in this embodiment.
As can be seen from the above, in this embodiment, when the start of the video application is detected, the application start page is displayed through the terminal, where the application start page includes a recommended picture, the recommended picture is a picture associated with a target video, the target video is a recommended video determined from candidate videos based on historical play behavior information of a target object, the recommended video includes one of a historical play video or a preference video, and the preference video is a video in which the attention of the target object is higher than a preset value; and the terminal responds to the trigger operation aiming at the application starting page and displays the video information of the target video. According to the method and the device, the content recommended by the application starting page can be determined based on the historical playing behavior information of the target object, and the click rate of the user on the content recommended by the application starting page is improved.
In order to better implement the above method, an embodiment of the present application further provides a media content recommendation device, as shown in fig. 3, which may include a first presentation unit 301 and a second presentation unit 302, as follows:

the first presentation unit 301 is configured to, when starting of a media content application is detected, present an application start page, where the application start page includes a recommendation screen, the recommendation screen is a screen associated with a target media content, the target media content is a recommended media content determined based on historical play behavior information of a target object, the recommended media content includes one of a historical play media content or a preferred media content, and the preferred media content is a media content whose attention of the target object is higher than a preset value.
Optionally, in some embodiments of the present application, the target media content comprises a target video; the recommended pictures include video pictures of a target video clip in the target video.
Optionally, in some embodiments of the present application, the target media content comprises a target video; the recommended picture comprises a video content description picture of the target video, and the video content description picture comprises description information of the target video.
Optionally, in some embodiments of the present application, the target media content comprises a target video; the target video comprises a video that the target object has not finished watching within a historical period of time.
Optionally, in some embodiments of the present application, the first presentation unit may include an extraction subunit and a first presentation subunit, as follows:
the extraction subunit is configured to, when the start of the media content application is detected, extract a target video segment of the cached target video from a preset storage area;
and the first display subunit is used for displaying the application starting page according to the target video clip.
Optionally, in some embodiments of the present application, the video recommendation apparatus may further include a cache unit; the cache unit may be configured to cache a target video segment of a target video to a preset storage area in advance. Specifically, the buffer unit may include a buffer subunit, a video playing subunit and a storage subunit, as follows:
the cache subunit is configured to cache each video segment in the target video when the target video is played;
the video playing subunit is used for playing the cached video clips in the target video according to a preset playing sequence;
and the storage subunit is used for storing the cached and unplayed target video clip in the target video to the preset storage area when the target video stops playing.
Optionally, in some embodiments of the present application, the target media content comprises a target video; the target video comprises a preference video selected from candidate videos based on the historical playing behavior information of the target object.

the description information display subunit is configured to display, in response to a trigger operation for the confirmation display control, a content description page corresponding to the target media content, where the content description page includes a content display control and content description information of the target media content;
and the content display subunit is used for responding to the operation aiming at the content display control and displaying the target media content.
Optionally, in some embodiments of the present application, the target media content comprises a target video; the target video comprises a video which is not finished to be watched by the target object in a historical time period; the second presentation unit may be specifically configured to, in response to a trigger operation for the application start page, present an associated video segment in the target video, where the associated video segment is a video segment associated with a target video segment that is not yet viewed in the target video.
Optionally, in some embodiments of the present application, the video recommendation apparatus may further include a main page display unit; the main page display unit may be configured to display the application main page of the media content application when the trigger operation on the application start page is not detected within a preset time.
Optionally, in some embodiments of the present application, the application launch page further includes a jump control; the main page display unit can be further used for responding to the triggering operation of the jump control and displaying an application main page of the media content application.
Optionally, in some embodiments of the present application, the video recommendation apparatus may further include an updating unit; the updating unit may be configured to select a new recommended media content based on the historical play behavior information of the target object when the current time meets a preset updating time condition; and updating the target media content according to the new recommended media content.
As can be seen from the above, in this embodiment, when the start of the media content application is detected by the first presentation unit 301, the application start page is presented, where the application start page includes a recommendation screen, the recommendation screen is a screen associated with a target media content, the target media content is a recommendation media content determined based on historical play behavior information of a target object, the recommendation media content includes one of a historical play media content or a preferred media content, and the preferred media content is a media content whose attention of the target object is higher than a preset value; and presenting the content information of the target media content by the second presentation unit 302 in response to the triggering operation for the application starting page. According to the method and the device, the content recommended by the application starting page can be determined based on the historical playing behavior information of the target object, the accuracy of content recommendation in the application starting page is improved, and the click rate of the user on the content recommended by the application starting page is improved.
An electronic device according to an embodiment of the present application is further provided, as shown in fig. 4, which shows a schematic structural diagram of the electronic device according to the embodiment of the present application, where the electronic device may be a terminal or a server, and specifically:
the electronic device may include components such as a processor 401 of one or more processing cores, memory 402 of one or more computer-readable storage media, a power supply 403, and an input unit 404. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the electronic device configuration shown in fig. 4 does not constitute a limitation of the electronic device and may include more or fewer components than those shown, or some components may be combined, or a different arrangement of components. Wherein:
the processor 401 is a control center of the electronic device, connects various parts of the entire electronic device using various interfaces and lines, performs various functions of the electronic device and processes data by operating or executing software programs and/or modules stored in the memory 402 and calling data stored in the memory 402, thereby integrally monitoring the electronic device. Alternatively, processor 401 may include one or more processing cores; preferably, the processor 401 may integrate an application processor, which mainly handles operating systems, user interfaces, application programs, etc., and a modem processor, which mainly handles wireless communications. It will be appreciated that the modem processor described above may not be integrated into the processor 401.
The memory 402 may be used to store software programs and modules, and the processor 401 executes various functional applications and data processing by operating the software programs and modules stored in the memory 402. The memory 402 may mainly include a program storage area and a data storage area, wherein the program storage area may store an operating system, an application program required by at least one function (such as a sound playing function, an image playing function, etc.), and the like; the storage data area may store data created according to use of the electronic device, and the like. Further, the memory 402 may include high speed random access memory, and may also include non-volatile memory, such as at least one magnetic disk storage device, flash memory device, or other volatile solid state storage device. Accordingly, the memory 402 may also include a memory controller to provide the processor 401 access to the memory 402.
The electronic device further comprises a power supply 403 for supplying power to the various components, and preferably, the power supply 403 is logically connected to the processor 401 through a power management system, so that the functions of charging, discharging, and power consumption management are managed through the power management system. The power supply 403 may also include any component of one or more dc or ac power sources, recharging systems, power failure detection circuitry, power converters or inverters, power status indicators, and the like.
The electronic device may further include an input unit 404, and the input unit 404 may be used to receive input numeric or character information and generate keyboard, mouse, joystick, optical or trackball signal inputs related to user settings and function control.
Although not shown, the electronic device may further include a display unit and the like, which are not described in detail herein. Specifically, in this embodiment, the processor 401 in the electronic device loads the executable file corresponding to the process of one or more application programs into the memory 402 according to the following instructions, and the processor 401 runs the application program stored in the memory 402, thereby implementing various functions as follows:
when the starting of a media content application is detected, displaying an application starting page, wherein the application starting page comprises a recommended picture, the recommended picture is a picture associated with target media content, the target media content is recommended media content determined based on historical playing behavior information of a target object, the recommended media content comprises one of historical playing media content or preferred media content, and the preferred media content is media content with the attention degree of the target object higher than a preset value; and in response to the triggering operation aiming at the application starting page, displaying the content information of the target media content.
The above operations can be implemented in the foregoing embodiments, and are not described in detail herein.
As can be seen from the above, in this embodiment, when the start of a media content application is detected, an application start page is displayed, where the application start page includes a recommended picture, the recommended picture is a picture associated with target media content, the target media content is recommended media content determined based on historical play behavior information of a target object, the recommended media content includes one of historical play media content or preferred media content, and the preferred media content is media content in which the attention of the target object is higher than a preset value; and in response to the triggering operation aiming at the application starting page, displaying the content information of the target media content. According to the content recommendation method and device, the content recommended by the application starting page can be determined based on the historical playing behavior information of the target object, and the accuracy of content recommendation in the application starting page is improved.
It will be understood by those skilled in the art that all or part of the steps of the methods of the above embodiments may be performed by instructions or by associated hardware controlled by the instructions, which may be stored in a computer readable storage medium and loaded and executed by a processor.
To this end, embodiments of the present application provide a computer-readable storage medium, in which a plurality of instructions are stored, and the instructions can be loaded by a processor to execute the steps in any of the media content recommendation methods provided by the embodiments of the present application. For example, the instructions may perform the steps of:

1. A method for recommending media content, comprising:
when the starting of a media content application is detected, displaying an application starting page, wherein the application starting page comprises a recommended picture, the recommended picture is a picture associated with target media content, the target media content is recommended media content determined based on historical playing behavior information of a target object, the recommended media content comprises one of historical playing media content or preferred media content, and the preferred media content is media content with the attention degree of the target object higher than a preset value;
and in response to the trigger operation aiming at the application starting page, displaying the content information of the target media content.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the application launch page further comprises a confirmation presentation control; the displaying the content information of the target media content in response to the triggering operation for the application launching page comprises:
responding to the trigger operation aiming at the confirmation display control, and displaying a content description page corresponding to the target media content, wherein the content description page comprises a content display control and content description information of the target media content;
and in response to the operation of the content display control, displaying the target media content.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the target media content comprises a target video; the recommended picture comprises a video picture of a target video clip in the target video.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein the target media content comprises a target video; the recommended picture comprises a video content description picture of the target video, and the video content description picture comprises description information of the target video.
5. The method of claim 1, wherein the target media content comprises a target video; the target video comprises video which is not finished being watched by the target object in a historical time period.
6. The method of claim 5, wherein presenting the application launch page when launching of the media content application is detected comprises:
when the starting of the media content application is detected, extracting a target video segment of the cached target video from a preset storage area;
and displaying an application starting page according to the target video clip.
7. The method of claim 6, wherein when the detecting of the launching of the media content application is performed, before the presenting of the application launch page, further comprises:
when the target video is played, caching all video clips in the target video;
playing the cached video clips in the target video according to a preset playing sequence;
and when the target video stops playing, storing the cached and unplayed target video clip in the target video into the preset storage area.
8. The method of claim 1, wherein the target media content comprises a target video; the target video comprises a preference video selected from candidate videos based on the historical playing behavior information of the target object.

The method of claim 1, wherein the target media content comprises a target video; the target video comprises a video which is not finished to be watched by the target object in a historical time period; the displaying the content information of the target media content in response to the triggering operation for the application launching page comprises:
and in response to the trigger operation aiming at the application starting page, displaying an associated video segment in the target video, wherein the associated video segment is a video segment associated with a target video segment which is not finished to be watched in the target video.
10. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
and when the triggering operation of the application starting page is not detected within the preset time, displaying the application main page of the media content application.
