本申请提出的一种PDCP实体的接收窗口的配置方法及装置，其中，由终端设备执行的方法包括：确定PDCP实体的接收窗口的变量对应的调整参数；基于所述调整参数，配置所述PDCP实体的接收窗口的变量。本申请中，实现了PDCP实体的接收窗口变量的及时更新，使得新的终端设备可以随时加入进行MBS数据的接收，保证了MBS数据传输的持续性以及可靠性。
