本发明有关一种显示面板的子像素渲染方法,其依据子像素排列位置决定取样位置,因而依据人眼视觉模型转换输入影像而产生对应的调整辉度数据并借由上述的取样位置取样前述的调整辉度数据的多个调整辉度值,因而产生对应的目标灰阶数据。如此避免输入影像失真。

Description

显示面板的子像素渲染方法
技术领域
本发明有关一种渲染方法,尤其是一种应用于显示面板的子像素渲染方法。
背景技术
在一般的显示面板中,子像素结构是设置为矩阵排列,且每个子像素结构可显示红色、绿色与蓝色的其中之一,进一步通过红色、绿色与蓝色等三个颜色的子像素结构可组成一个像素。然而,并非所有显示面板中,一个像素单元并非设置三个子像素结构,导致显示品质不佳。
为解决上述显示品质不佳的问题,现有技术中,有业者合作提出原色子像素渲染技术,其为针对一个特定的原色子像素排列设计一个特定的子像素渲染演算法,但是,现有子像素渲染演算法并没有考虑人眼视觉模型,也就是忽略了人眼视觉的感受。
基于上述的问题,本发明提供一种显示面板的子像素渲染方法,其依据人眼视觉模型转换输入影像的输入灰阶影像,而获得调整辉度数据,借此获得较佳的目标灰阶数据,使显示面板显示的灰阶影像可符合人眼视觉的感受。
发明内容
本发明的一目的,提供一种显示面板的子像素渲染方法,其利用依据人眼视觉模型转换输入影像的输入灰阶数据产生对应的调整辉度数据,并依据子像素排列位置对应的取样位置取样对应的调整辉度值,因而获得符合人员视觉感受的目标灰阶值。
本发明揭示了一种显示面板的子像素渲染方法,其先依据多个子像素排列位置决定多个取样位置,并依据依据一人眼视觉模型转换一输入影像的一输入灰阶数据,产生一调整辉度数据,然后依据该些取样位置取样该调整辉度数据的多个调整辉度值,最后依据取样的所述多个调整辉度值,产生一目标灰阶数据,其中该目标灰阶数据包含对应于所述多个子像素的多个目标灰阶值,借此避免输入影像失真的情况下,让目标灰阶值符合人眼视觉的感受。

为使贵审查委员对本发明的特征及所达成的功效有更进一步的了解与认识,谨佐以实施例及配合说明,说明如后:
有鉴于已知子像素渲染演算法中,未能符合人眼视觉感受,据此,本发明遂提出一种显示面板的子像素渲染方法,可获得较佳的目标灰阶数据,使显示面板显示的灰阶影像可符合人眼视觉的感受。
在说明书及权利要求当中使用了某些词汇指称特定的元件,然,本领域技术人员应可理解,制造商可能会用不同的名词称呼同一个元件,而且,本说明书及权利要求并不以名称的差异作为区分元件的方式,而是以元件在整体技术上的差异作为区分的准则。在通篇说明书及权利要求当中所提及的“包含”为一开放式用语,故应解释成“包含但不限定于”。再者,“耦接”一词在此包含直接及间接的连接手段。因此,若文中描述一第一装置耦接一第二装置,则代表第一装置可直接连接第二装置,或可通过其他装置或其他连接手段间接地连接至第二装置。
以下,将进一步说明本发明揭示一种显示面板的子像素渲染方法所包含的特性、所搭配的结构:
首先,请参阅图1,其为本发明的子像素渲染方法的一实施例的方块图。如图所示,本发明的显示面板的子像素渲染方法所应用的显示装置10包含一运算电路12、一驱动电路14与一显示面板16。运算电路12为接收来自一微处理单元20所输入的一输入影像IN(例如:该微处理单元20将一数位影像输入至该运算电路12),而进行该输入影像IN的一子像素渲染运算RP,因而产生对应的一目标灰阶数据GD至该驱动电路14,该驱动电路14依据该目标灰阶数据GD产生对应的驱动信号DR至该显示面板16并驱动该显示面板16显示该输入影像IN对应的灰阶影像。本实施例中所指的该运算电路12为可具备逻辑与浮点运算能力的电路,且本发明的该运算电路12更可进一步整合于该驱动电路14中。
请参阅图2,其为本发明的子像素渲染方法的一实施例的流程图。如图所示,本发明的子像素渲染方法即指该运算电路12的运算处理过程,其步骤包含:
步骤S10:依据子像素排列位置决定取样位置;
步骤S20:依据人眼视觉模型转换输入影像的输入灰阶数据,产生调整辉度数据;
步骤S30:依据取样位置取样调整辉度数据的调整辉度值;以及
步骤S40:依据取样的调整辉度值,产生目标灰阶数据。
于步骤S10中,该运算电路12为依据该显示面板16的多个子像素162的排列位置取得对应该些输入灰阶值G1的多个取样位置164(如图3所示),其中该运算电路12依据该些子像素162的排列位置与该显示面板16的一显示解析度决定对应的该些取样位置164的数目,如图3所示,本发明的该些子像素162在本实施例中包含多个第一像素1622、多个第二像素1624与多个第三像素1626,本实施例中,该些第一子像素1622为红色像素,该些第二子像素1624为蓝色像素,该些第三子像素1626为绿色像素,且该些第一子像素1622、该些第二子像素1624与该些第三子像素1626分别有其对应的取样位置164,但本发明不限于此,更可应用于其他显示条件的特殊显示装置,例如:各种子像素排列方式的显示面板,使该运算电路12依据该些子像素162的所在位置决定对应的取样位置164。
接续于步骤S20中,该运算电路12为依据一人眼视觉模型HV转换输入灰阶数据ING的输入灰阶值G1(如图5所示),如图4所示,步骤S20包含以下步骤:
步骤S22:依据灰阶-辉度曲线转换输入灰阶数据,产生输入辉度数据;以及
步骤S24:依据人眼视觉模型的正向函数与输入辉度数据产生调整辉度数据。
于步骤S22中,如图5所示,该输入影像IN的一输入灰阶数据ING,该输入灰阶数据ING包含多个输入灰阶值G1,该运算电路12依据如图6所示的一灰阶对辉度曲线CV转换该些输入灰阶值G1为多个输入辉度值B1,因而产生对应的输入辉度数据INB。
于步骤S24中,复参阅图5,该运算电路12依据该人眼视觉模型HV的一正函数EQ1调整该输入辉度数据INB的该些输入辉度值B1,而产生一调整辉度数据ADB,其中该调整辉度数据ADB包含多个调整辉度值B2,本实施例中,该运算电路12使用该人眼视觉模型HV的一正函数EQ1为取样函数,针对该些输入影像辉度值取样,其取样过程类似摺积运算,因而求得该些调整辉度值B2。本发明所述的人眼视觉模型HV为空间、波长、环境和生理的函数,其基于环境光决定瞳孔大小和视神经的亮度、色度适应性。
接续于步骤S30中,该运算电路12为依据上述的该些子像素162对应的取样位置164取样该些调整辉度值B2,进一步地,如图7所示,步骤S30更可进一步包含
步骤S32:依据取样位置取样调整辉度值;以及
步骤S35:依据人眼视觉模型的反向函数补偿取样辉度值。
于步骤S32中,如图8所示,该运算电路12依据上述的该些子像素162对应的取样位置164取样该些输入灰阶值G1对应的该些调整辉度值B2,因而取得多个取样辉度值B3,因此产生对应的取样辉度数据SPB,也就是依据该些子像素162的排列位置对应的取样位置164取样相对应位置的调整辉度值B2,而取得对应的取样辉度值B3,借此产生该取样辉度数据SPB。由于一般该输入影像IN的输入灰阶值G1的数目大于该显示面板16的该些子像素162的数目,且每一输入灰阶值G1有各自所在位置(如图3所示),而该输入影像IN的解析度不同即为该输入影像IN的输入灰阶值G1的数目不同,因而造成该些取样位置164也会相对应改变位置,例如:解析度越大,即输入灰阶值G1越多,相对应地,取样位置164之间分布的输入灰阶值G1即会越多,解析度越小,即输入灰阶值G1越少,相对应地,取样位置164之间分布的输入灰阶值G1即会越少;因此该运算电路12为依据该显示面板16的解析度与该些子像素162的排列位置所构成的取样位置164取样对应的该些调整辉度值B2,也就是该运算电路12针对取样每一子像素162于其所在位置所对应的其中一调整辉度值B2进行取样,借此,即使该显示面板16的解析度不同于该输入影像IN所对应的子像素数目,该驱动电路14仍可以依据该目标灰阶数据GD驱动该显示面板16显示该输入影像IN对应的灰阶影像。
于步骤S35中,该运算电路12依据该人眼视觉模型的一反向函数EQ2补偿该些取样辉度值B3,因而产生对应的补偿辉度值B4,因此产生对应的补偿辉度数据CB。进一步详述,该运算电路12为依据每一取样位置164作为中心点而取样周遭的辉度值,并依据该反向函数EQ2对每一取样位置164的辉度值补偿,因而补偿该些个取样辉度值B3,借此产生对应的该些补偿辉度值B4。
接续于步骤S40中,如图9所示,该运算电路12依据如图5所示的灰阶对辉度的曲线转换该补偿辉度数据CB为该目标灰阶数据GD,也就是该运算电路12依据如图6所示的灰阶对辉度曲线CV转换该些补偿辉度值B4为该些目标灰阶值G2,如此即完成低失真影像渲染。因而让该驱动电路14依据该目标灰阶数据GD产生对应的驱动信号DR驱动该显示面板16。
此外,于步骤S24中,复参阅图5,本发明更可进一步设置一传感器122耦接该运算电路12,该传感器122传感外部环境的状态,而提供一传感信号SEN至该运算电路12,借此修正该人眼视觉模型HV的该正向函数EQ1,因而让该正向函数EQ1符合外部环境的状态,例如:环境照度不同,即会导致该正向函数EQ1不同,也就是该运算电路依据环境情况动态修正该正向函数EQ1。
综上所述,本发明的显示面板的子像素渲染方法,其依据输入影像的输入灰阶数据转换为输入辉度数据并依据人眼视觉模型的正函数进行调整,而产生对应的调整辉度数据;而依据取样位置对调整辉度数据进行取样,而取得取样辉度数据,再依据人眼视觉模型的反向函数补偿取样辉度数据,而取得补偿辉度数据,借此产生目标灰阶数据,而提供驱动电路依据目标灰阶数据的目标灰阶值驱动显示面板,如此不仅提供符合显示面板的解析度的目标灰阶值,用以驱动显示面板的子像素,更让显示面板显示的灰阶影像符合人眼视觉的感受。

Claims (6)

1.一种显示面板的子像素渲染方法,其特征在于,包含:
依据多个子像素排列位置决定多个取样位置;
依据一人眼视觉模型转换一输入影像的一输入灰阶数据,产生一调整辉度数据,该输入灰阶数据包含多个输入灰阶值,该些调整辉度数据包含多个调整辉度值;
依据所述多个取样位置取样该调整辉度数据的所述多个调整辉度值;以及
依据取样的所述多个调整辉度值,产生一目标灰阶数据,该目标灰阶数据包含多个目标灰阶值,所述多个目标灰阶值对应于所述多个子像素。
2.如权利要求1所述的子像素渲染方法,其特征在于,产生该调整辉度数据的步骤,更包含:
依据一灰阶-辉度曲线转换该输入灰阶数据,产生一输入辉度数据,该输入辉度数据包含多个输入辉度值;以及
依据该人眼视觉模型的一正向函数与该输入辉度数据产生该调整辉度数据。
3.如权利要求2所述的子像素渲染方法,其特征在于,更包含:
传感环境的状态,修正该人眼视觉模型的该正向函数。
4.如权利要求1所述的子像素渲染方法,其特征在于,更包含:
依据该人眼视觉模型的一反向函数补偿取样的所述多个调整辉度值,并依据补偿后的所述多个调整辉度值产生所述多个目标灰阶值。
5.如权利要求1所述的子像素渲染方法,其特征在于,更包含:
依据一灰阶对辉度曲线转换取样的所述多个调整辉度值,产生该目标灰阶数据。
6.如权利要求1所述的子像素渲染方法,其特征在于,更包含:
依据所述多个子像素排列位置与该显示面板的一显示解析度决定所述多个取样位置。
