The Television Input Framework (TIF) is a set of standard Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) provided by an Android system for Television (TV) manufacturers, and is mainly used for creating a TvInput module to control a television with the Android system and provide management of a system signal source, and a corresponding system service is a TvInput manager service. HDMITvInputService (high definition multimedia interface television input management service) is a signal control service provided by television manufacturers for controlling HDMI channels, and can provide identification registration, creation, control, destruction, and the like of HDMI channels, and it is started to operate after a system of a television is started. The operating system of the display device may be an Android system.
Accordingly, after the external device accesses the display device, the display device automatically turns on a CEC Control function by default, and if the CEC function is not turned on, the CEC Control may be set to on and the TV auto power on may be set in Settings. And meanwhile, the external equipment is connected with the display equipment through the HDMI line. When the TV auto power on is set to on, the HDMI is connected to a signal source (external device, such as DVD), and both the signal source and the display device are in an off state, and when the signal source is turned on, the display device is automatically turned on and switches to the HDMI channel.
Therefore, when the controller of the display device detects that the external device is accessed, the HDMI channel accessed by the external device can be determined through the TIF provided by the operating system of the display device, and the channel of the display device is directly set as the HDMI channel accessed by the external device.
In the embodiment, the channel of the display device is set by the channel setting method, so that the method is efficient and rapid, and is beneficial to smooth follow-up processes.
In some embodiments, the physical channels of the display device in the TIF may include Tuner (Tv channel, i.e., a channel to which a signal line of the display device is connected), HDMI channel, composite channel (AV channel, i.e., a channel to which a yellow-white-red three-color line is connected), and the like, and each channel corresponds to a unique character string inputId (input identifier) as a unique identifier of the channel. The HDMI channel is special, when external equipment (such as a DVD, a box and the like) is inserted into the HDMI port, the external equipment can be added into a channel list as a sub-channel (namely, the Name of the external equipment and the CEC Name), and after the external equipment is inserted into the HDMI port, the Android system can receive notification of bottom layer hardware, the external equipment can be automatically added into the channel list, and meanwhile, after the sub-channel is pulled out of the external equipment, the sub-channel can also disappear, and the situation that the external equipment is always displayed is avoided.
