a housing;
a mobile communication device securing mechanism disposed on the housing to retain the mobile communication device on the housing; and
a display, the display being coupleable to the mobile communication device such that content of the mobile communication device screen is displayed synchronously on the display screen.
2. The docking device as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a keypad disposed on the housing, the keypad coupled to the mobile communication device for manipulating the mobile communication device.
3. The device of any of claims 1 and 2, wherein the device securing mechanism comprises a first cavity disposed within the housing and one or more magnets disposed within the first cavity, the magnetic attraction of the magnets serving to retain the device on the housing when the device is placed on the surface of the housing.
4. A mobile communication device docking apparatus as claimed in any one of claims 1 and 2 wherein the coupling connection is a data cable connection.
5. A mobile communication device docking apparatus as claimed in any one of claims 1 and 2 wherein the coupling connection is a wireless communication connection.
6. The mobile communication device docking apparatus of claim 3, wherein the one or more magnets comprise 10 circular magnets.
7. The mobile communication device docking apparatus of claim 2, wherein the keypad extends from a first edge to a second edge of the housing.
8. The docking apparatus for a mobile communication device of claim 2, wherein said keypad is located at an edge remote from said display.
9. A mobile communications device docking apparatus as claimed in claim 3 wherein the first cavity is located adjacent an edge of the display.
10. The mobile communication device docking apparatus of claim 2, further comprising a first cable, wherein the keyboard is coupled to the mobile communication device via the first cable.
11. The mobile communication device docking apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a second cavity configured to receive the first cable, the second cavity being disposed on the housing.
12. The docking device of claim 1, wherein the first cavity and the second cavity are adjacent to each other.
13. The mobile communication device docking apparatus of claim 1, wherein the display is configured to be rotatable relative to the housing.
14. The docking device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the housing comprises a stand for the housing to stand.
15. The docking apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a wireless charging device configured to wirelessly charge the mobile communication device.
16. The docking device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mobile communication device is a portable computer, the display is a display of the portable computer, the portable computer supports the docking device when the mobile communication device fixing mechanism is fixedly connected to the portable computer, and the portable computer is connected to the housing through a data cable.
