The invention relates to an ultra-thin connector easy to lock and unlock, which comprises a terminal, a shell and an insulator. The shell comprises a first body and a second body which is pivoted with the first body through a turning part. The first body further comprises a first buckling part and a stop part. The second body further comprises a locking piece, a force application part and a second buckling part. The first buckling part is arranged corresponding to the second buckling part so as to be capable of interfering with each other. The locking piece can lock the flexible flat cable in an accommodating space. The force application part is driven by an external force to drive the locking piece so that the locking piece unlocks the flexible flat cable. The insulator comprises a third body, an opening and a limiting wall. The locking piece passes through the opening to clamp the flexible flat cable. The limiting wall is arranged corresponding to the force application part. When external force is applied to the force application part, the limiting wall stops the force application part to continue to act.

The plurality of locking pieces can lock the flexible flat cable in the accommodating space. The force applying parts are arranged adjacent to the locking pieces. The force application parts are driven by external force to drive the locking pieces so that the locking pieces can unlock the flexible flat cable. The insulator is disposed in the receiving space through a plurality of stoppers. The insulator comprises a third body, a plurality of openings and a plurality of limiting walls. Each opening is arranged corresponding to each locking piece. Each locking piece passes through each opening to buckle the flexible flat cable. Each limit wall is arranged corresponding to each force application part. When external force is applied to each force application part, each limiting wall stops each force application part.
Compared with the traditional connector, the ultrathin connector easy to lock and unlock provided by the invention can be combined with the insulator through the integrally formed shell and the locking piece, so that the thin connector is realized, and the connector has the functions of automatic locking and manual unlocking.

Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an ultra-thin easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector according to a first embodiment of the present invention. In fig. 1, the ultra-thin easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector 10 is capable of connecting a printed circuit board 4 and a flexible flat cable 2 as shown in fig. 6, and fig. 6 is a schematic view of an implementation of the ultra-thin easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector of the present invention.
Returning to fig. 1, the slim type easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector 10 includes a housing 12, an insulator 14 and a terminal 16.
One end of the terminal 16 can be connected to the printed circuit board 4 and the other end of the terminal 16 can be connected to the flexible flat cable 2.
Referring also to fig. 2a to 2c, there are shown detailed views of the housing of fig. 1 illustrating the present invention. FIG. 2a is an oblique view illustrating the housing of FIG. 1 of the present invention; FIG. 2b is a top view of the housing of FIG. 1 illustrating the present invention; and, FIG. 2c is a cross-sectional view A-A' illustrating the housing of invention 2 b.
The housing 12 includes a first body 122, a second body 124 and a turning portion 126. The housing 12 forms an accommodating space SP. The first body 122 is pivotally connected to the second body 124 through the hinge 126.
The first body 122 further includes a first latch portion 1222 and a stopper 1224. The first hooking portion 1222 is formed at both sides of the outside of the first body 122, and the stopper 1224 is formed at both sides of the inside of the first body 122.
The second body 124 further includes a locking member 1242, a force-applying portion 1244 and a second fastening portion 1248.
The second latching portion 1224 is disposed corresponding to the first latching portion 1222 to interfere with each other, so that the first body 122 is coupled to the second body 124. In the present embodiment, the first locking portion 1222 is illustrated by a protrusion and a stopper 1224, which are extensions.
The locking member 1242 can lock the flexible flat cable 2 in the accommodating space SP. In the present embodiment, the locking member 1242 is broken from the second body 124 and suspended on the second body 124. The fastener 1242 further includes an action portion 12422, a hook arm 12424 and a hook portion 12426. The action portion 12422 is connected to the urging portion 1244. The hook arm 12426 connects the hook portion 12426 with the action portion 12422. Fig. 5a to 5b are schematic views illustrating an embodiment of the ultra-thin easy-to-lock/unlock connector of the present invention. Fig. 5a is a schematic connection diagram illustrating the slim type easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector of fig. 1 of the present invention connected to a flexible flat cable, and fig. 5B is a sectional view of B-B' illustrating the slim type easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector of fig. 5a of the present invention connected to a flexible flat cable. After the flexible flat cable 2 is inserted into the accommodating space SP, the hook portion 12426 is pushed by the flexible flat cable 2 to be lifted until the hook portion 12426 falls into the card slot 22 (see fig. 5 a) of the flexible flat cable 2, so that the hook portion 12426 interferes with the card slot 22 and the flexible flat cable 2 cannot exit from the accommodating space SP; on the contrary, after the force application portion 1244 is pressed by the external force F, the force application portion 1244 drives the action portion 12422, and the action portion 12422 lifts the hook portion 12426 through the hook arm 12424, so that the hook portion 12426 moves toward the direction of separating from the accommodating space SP, thereby achieving the purpose of unlocking the hook portion 12426 separating from the card slot 22. It is noted that there is a height difference between the action portion 12422 and the hook arm 12424, and in another embodiment, an inclined surface is formed between the action portion 12422 and the hook arm 12424 to correspond to the groove 146 of the insulator 14. The inclined surface is disposed corresponding to the recess 146 for accommodating the deformation of the acting portion 12422 and the hook arm 12424.
The force application part 1244 is disposed adjacent to the locking part 1242, and the force application part 1242 drives the locking part 1242 by the external force F to make the locking part 1242 unlock the flexible flat cable 2.
In other embodiments, the second body 124 further includes a strengthening portion 1246 formed adjacent to the force application portion 1244. Here, the strengthening portion 1246 protrudes toward the accommodating space SP.
In another embodiment, the first body 122 further includes a first soldering portion 1226 formed on a side surface of the first body 122, and the first soldering portion 122 can be disposed (e.g., soldered) on the soldering point 42 of the printed circuit board 4; and, the second body 124 further includes a second welding part 12412 formed at a side of the second body 124. A second solder 12412 can be provided at another solder point 42 of the printed circuit board 4.
Referring also to fig. 3, a top view of the insulator of the present invention is illustrated. In fig. 3, the insulator 14 is disposed in the accommodating space SP through the stopper 1224 of the housing 12, and the combination of the housing and the insulator according to the present invention is illustrated with reference to fig. 4.
The insulator 14 includes a third body 142, an opening 144, and a retaining wall 1410. The opening 144 is disposed corresponding to the locking member 1242, so that the locking member 1242 can pass through the opening 144 to fasten the flexible flat cable 2. The stopper wall 1410 is provided corresponding to the biasing portion 1244. When an external force F is applied to the force application part 1244, the action part 12422 is driven to operate until the force application part 1244 is stopped by the limiting wall 1410 and cannot drive the action part 12422 to prevent an operator from damaging the structure of the ultra-thin easy-to-lock/unlock connector due to excessive force application.
In another embodiment, the insulator 14 further includes a locating block 148 and the second body 124 further includes a locating notch 12410. The positioning notch 12410 is disposed corresponding to the positioning block 148 to position the insulator 14 in the accommodating space SP.

Claims (10)

1. An ultra-thin easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector for connecting a printed circuit board and a flexible flat cable, the ultra-thin easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector comprising:
the terminal is used for connecting the printed circuit board and the flexible flat cable;
the shell is provided with a first body, a second body and a turning part, the shell forms an accommodating space, the first body is pivoted with the second body through the turning part, the first body further comprises a plurality of first buckling parts and a plurality of stop parts, the second body further comprises a plurality of locking parts, a plurality of force application parts and a plurality of second buckling parts, each first buckling part is arranged corresponding to each second buckling part for mutual interference, the plurality of locking parts are used for locking the flexible flat cable in the accommodating space, the plurality of force application parts are arranged adjacent to the plurality of locking parts, and the plurality of force application parts are driven by external force to enable the plurality of locking parts to unlock the flexible flat cable; and
the insulator is arranged in the accommodating space through the plurality of stop pieces and is provided with a third body, a plurality of openings and a plurality of limiting walls, each opening is arranged corresponding to each locking piece, each locking piece penetrates through each opening to buckle the flexible flat cable, each limiting wall is arranged corresponding to each force application part, and when the external force is applied to each force application part, each limiting wall stops each force application part.

3. The ultra-thin easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector of claim 2, wherein the reinforced portion protrudes toward the receiving space.
4. The ultra-thin easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector of claim 1, wherein the first body further comprises a plurality of first welding parts respectively formed on the side surfaces of the first body, and the first welding parts are disposed on the printed circuit board.
5. The ultra-thin easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector of claim 1, wherein the second body further comprises a plurality of second welding portions respectively formed on the side surfaces of the second body, the second welding portions being disposed on the printed circuit board.

The ultra-thin easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector of claim 1, wherein each of the locking members further comprises an action portion, a hook arm and a hook portion, the action portion is connected to the force application portion, and the hook arm is connected to the hook portion and the action portion.
7. The ultra-thin easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector of claim 6, wherein the action portion and the hook arm have a height difference therebetween.
8. The ultra-thin easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector of claim 7, wherein an inclined plane is formed between the action portion and the hook arm, and the insulator further comprises a plurality of grooves, and the inclined plane is disposed corresponding to each of the grooves for accommodating deformation of the action portion and the hook arm.
9. The ultra-thin easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector of claim 6, wherein the hook portion is driven by the external force to move each of the force-applying portions in a direction away from the accommodating space.
10. The ultra-thin easy-to-lock easy-to-unlock connector of claim 1, wherein the second body further comprises a plurality of positioning notches and the insulator further comprises a plurality of positioning blocks, and the positioning notches are disposed corresponding to the positioning blocks to position the insulator in the accommodating space.
