一种参考信号传输方法,用于节省功耗。该方法可以应用于时频跟踪。本申请实施例方法包括:网络设备向终端设备发送参考信号RS的配置信息,配置信息用于指示RS的至少一个周期性的目标发送时段;网络设备在第一目标发送时段内按照第一周期发送RS,第一目标发送时段属于至少一个周期性的目标发送时段。从而使得只在部分目标发送时段内发送RS,即该RS不是始终在线信号,UE的唤醒时间较短,有利于UE节省功耗。
