Abstract
The invention provides a method for preventing a coverage blind area from occurring after energy-saving closing of a cell of an NR system and the NR system, wherein the method comprises the following steps: adding NeighbourPowerUp cell in NG-RAN NODE CONFIGURATION UPDATE signaling; the NeighbourPowerUp cell is used for indicating the backup cell to increase the coverage by increasing the downlink transmission power after the energy-saving closing of the main cell. The invention can effectively solve the problem that partial coverage blind areas appear after the energy-saving closing of the main cell, and improve the application scene of the energy-saving characteristic of the NR system and the reliability of the NR system.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of communication, in particular to a method for preventing a coverage blind area from occurring after energy-saving closing of a cell of an NR system and the NR system.
Background
There is a characteristic related to energy saving when a cell is closed in a 3GPP wireless system, the effective scene of the characteristic is generally a main cell and one or more backup cells, and after the main cell is closed to save energy, the UE originally accessing the main cell is absorbed by the backup cells.
If the primary cell and the backup cell are on different gNodeBs (which is the case when the primary cell and the backup cell are covered by common cells), it cannot be guaranteed that the original coverage area of the primary cell can be completely covered by the backup cell after the primary cell is closed, so that a coverage blind area (as shown in FIG. 1) inevitably occurs, which limits the use scene and the use time of the energy-saving characteristic, and greatly reduces the energy-saving effect.

Although the backup cell is required to increase the downlink transmission power, the energy consumption of the backup cell is increased, but after the main cell is powered off, part of devices of the RRU are often powered off at the same time, so that the power consumption is still saved more than the power consumption increased by the backup cell.
