Detailed Description
While the present invention has been illustrated and described in preferred embodiments, bag-type containers may be manufactured in many different configurations, sizes, and materials.
Exemplary embodiments of bag-type containers with open closures of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. It is to be understood that the dimensions of the various parts in the drawings are not to scale, are for illustrative purposes only, and do not represent actual dimensions of the products of the invention.
Referring to fig. 1-6, there is shown a bag-type container 1 constructed in accordance with a first preferred embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 1A and 1B, bag-type container 1 comprises a container body 10, the container body 10 having an open top 11 with an opening and having an interior compartment sized to contain a volume of contents. The container body 10 of the present embodiment is manufactured by integral molding and has a substantially rectangular outer shape. In this embodiment, the open top 11 is designed to be slightly inwardly angled to facilitate a press fit of the open top 11 during assembly. A lower annular protrusion 12 and an upper annular protrusion 13 are formed to protrude in parallel with each other in a circumferential direction of an inner surface of the open top 11.
Bag-type container 1 further comprises an opening closure 20 and a sealing device 30. The opening closure 20 is connected with the open top 11 of the container body 10 for closing the opening of the open top 11. A sealing device 30 is configured to be disposed inside the opening closure 20 and coupled with the open top 11.
Fig. 3 and 4 clearly show the opening closure 20 and the sealing device 30. As shown, the opening closure 20 is generally a lid having an open bottom, including a cover plate 21 and a sidewall 22 extending downwardly from the cover plate 21, the sidewall 22 circumscribing a receiving chamber 23. The side wall 22 may include a reinforcing rib (not shown) protruding inwardly from a bottom edge thereof, the reinforcing rib extending over the entire perimeter of the side wall 22 to abut the open top 11 of the container body 10. The cover plate 21 is provided at the center thereof with a through hole 24. Interlocking fastening elements may be provided on the side wall 22 and the open top 11 of the aperture closure 20 to provide a better secure closure of the two. For example, one or more recesses (not shown) are provided in the inner surface of the side wall 22 of the open closure 20, and one or more posts (not shown) are provided on the outer surface of the open top 11 at positions corresponding to the recesses, with which the corresponding recesses engage.
As shown in fig. 2B and 5, the entire sealing device 30 is substantially removably received within the receiving chamber 23 of the opening closure 20. The sealing device 30 includes a top wall 31 and a side wall 32 extending downwardly and slightly outwardly from a lower surface of the top wall 31, the side wall 32 surrounding and defining a hollow cavity 33 that expands downwardly and slightly outwardly from the top wall 31. The slightly outwardly extending side walls 32 match the shape and size of the slightly inwardly sloping open top 11 to achieve a press fit. The advantage of this angled configuration is that the sealing device 30 may be further compressed when the open top 11 abuts the sealing device 30, thereby enhancing the tightness of the engagement between the two. After the sealing means 30 is fully received in the receiving chamber 23 of the opening closure 20, a space is defined between the side wall 22 of the opening closure 20 and the side wall 32 of the sealing means 30 (see fig. 2B), in which the open top 11 is clamped when assembled, as will be described in detail below.
The sealing device 30 further includes an outlet tube 34 extending upwardly from the top wall 31, the outlet tube 34 being in communication with the interior compartment of the container body. The outlet tube 34 is sized to pass just through the through-hole 24 of the open closure 20 and protrude beyond the open closure 20. Thus, the sealing device 30 is coaxially and detachably disposed with the outlet pipe 34 as a center. A lower annular groove 35 and an upper annular groove 36 are formed parallel to each other in a circumferential projection of the outer surface of the side wall 32, the lower annular groove 35 and the upper annular groove 36 being positioned, sized and shaped to match the lower annular projection 12 and the upper annular projection 13 of the open top 11 of the container body 10, respectively, to achieve a tight engagement with each other. The top wall 31 of the sealing device 30 is provided with a flange 37.
Fig. 6 shows an exploded perspective view of bag-type container 1, as shown, bag-type container 1 further comprises a closure 40, said closure 40 being removably secured to outlet tube 34 protruding beyond opening closure 20. The cover 40 may be snap fit onto the outlet tube 34 or may be threadably connected to the outlet tube 34. A sealing ring 41 may be provided between the cover 40 and the outlet tube 34 to enhance the sealing connection therebetween.
In use, the open top 11 of the container body 10 is fitted over the side wall 32 of the closure assembly 30, with the lower and upper annular projections 12, 13 of the open top 11 engaging the lower and upper annular recesses 35, 36, respectively, of the side wall 32 of the closure assembly 30, and the top edge of the open top 11 abutting the lower surface of the flange 37 of the closure assembly 30. The sleeve-connected container body 10 and sealing device 30 are then placed within the receiving chamber 23 of the open closure 20, with the outlet tube 34 passing through the through-hole 24 of the open closure 20 and protruding beyond the open closure 20, and the open top 11 of the container body 10 is clamped within the space defined between the side wall 22 of the open closure 20 and the side wall 32 of the sealing device 30. In particular, the reinforcing ribs provided on the bottom edge of the side wall 22 of the open closure 20 press inwardly against and abut the open top 11 of the container body 10, thereby compressing the lower annular projection 12 of the open top 11 into a mating press-fit engagement seal with the lower annular groove 35 of the sealing means 30. Alternatively, the outer diameter of the portion of the lower portion of the open top 11 in contact with the open closure 20 is designed to be slightly larger than the inner diameter of the side wall 22 of the corresponding open closure 20, so that said open top 11 is pressed inwardly by the open closure 20 and abuts against the side wall 32 of the sealing means 30 when the two are coupled, thereby compressing the lower annular projection 12 of the open top 11 into a mating press-fit seal with the lower annular groove 35 of the sealing means 30. As shown in fig. 5, the open top 11 of the container body 10 is completely covered by the sealing means 30 along the entire circumference, the contents in the container body 10 do not leak out to the outside of the container, and air outside the container does not easily permeate into the inside of the container, achieving an excellent sealing effect.
Furthermore, the flange 37 of the sealing device 30 is also pressed down against the top edge of the open top 11, so that the upper annular projection 13 of the open top 11 also forms a pressure seal with the upper annular groove 36 of the sealing device 30. Providing such a compression seal at the sealing means 30 and the upper portion of the open top 11 not only further enhances the sealing effect of the bag-type container 1, but also enables a stronger connection between the opening closure 20, the container body 10 and the sealing means 30.
Fig. 7-10C illustrate a bag-type container 100 according to a second embodiment of the present invention. This embodiment is substantially the same in structure as the first embodiment, and includes a container body 110, an opening closure 120, a sealing device 130, and a closure 140.
This embodiment is mainly different from the first embodiment described above in that a different form of sealing mechanism is employed. As shown, the container body 110 has an open top 111 with an opening, the open top 111 having an upper edge 112 that extends horizontally inward relative to the longitudinal axis X of the bag-type container. A downwardly extending annular tooth 113 is provided on the inner lower surface of the upper rim 112. The open top 111 further includes a support portion 114 formed to protrude circumferentially on an inner surface of a lower portion thereof, and a lateral annular tooth 115 positioned between the upper edge 112 and the support portion 114, the lateral annular tooth 115, and the upper edge 112 being parallel to each other. A notch 116 is defined by the inner surface of the sidewall of the open top 111, the lower surface of the upper rim 112 and the lateral annular tooth 115.
The sealing device 130 in this embodiment is likewise configured to be positioned inside the opening closure 120 and coupled to the open top 111. The opening closure 120 is a generally inverted T-shaped body with an open bottom, including a cover plate 121 and a sidewall 122 extending downwardly from the cover plate 121, the sidewall 122 circumscribing a receiving chamber 123. The side wall 122 may include an annular reinforcing member 125 protruding downward from the bottom surface thereof, which is elastically deformed to press against the upper edge 112 of the open top 111 when the opening closure 120 is pressed toward the open top 111. The cover plate 121 is provided at the center thereof with a through hole 124.
The sealing device 130 includes a top wall 131, a sidewall 132, and a shoulder 137 connecting the top wall 131 with the sidewall 132, wherein the sidewall 132 surrounds and defines a hollow cavity 133, the shoulder 137 containing an upwardly facing annular groove 135. An outwardly facing lateral annular groove 136 is further provided on the side wall 132 of the sealing means 130. The upwardly facing annular groove 135 and the lateral annular groove 136 are positioned, sized and shaped to mate with the downwardly extending annular teeth 113 and the lateral annular teeth 115, respectively, of the open top 111 to achieve a tight engagement with each other. The sealing means 130 is configured to snap just between the support 114 of the open top 111 and said upper edge 112.
As shown in fig. 9, the top of the sealing device 130 is substantially removably received within the receiving chamber 123 of the open closure 120, while the sidewall 132 and the hollow cavity 133 defined thereby are exposed outside of the receiving chamber 123 of the open closure 120. The sealing device 130 further includes an outlet tube 134 extending upwardly from the top wall 131, the outlet tube 134 being in communication with the interior compartment of the container body. The outlet tube 134 is sized to pass just through the through-hole 124 of the open closure 120 and protrude beyond the open closure 120. Thus, the sealing means 130 is coaxially detachably disposed with the outlet pipe 134 as a center. The sealing device 30 is provided with a flange 138 between its shoulder 137 and the side wall 132.
The cap 140 is removably secured to the outlet tube 134 projecting beyond the open closure 120 and includes an upper cap portion 141, a collar 142 and a handle 143. The interior of the upper cover part 141 is provided with an annular receiving portion 144, the upper tube wall of the outlet tube 134 engaging in said annular receiving portion 144. The handle 143 is attached to the upper lid portion 141 for the convenience of carrying by the user. The collar 142 and the upper cover part 141 are two separate parts, the collar 142 is internally provided with internal threads which are screwed with the outlet pipe 134, and the upper cover part 141 is clamped on the outlet pipe 134 at a position above the collar 142. After the collar 142 is threaded into the outlet tube 134, downward pressure will be applied to the open closure 120, pressing the open closure 120 against the open top 111. The annular reinforcement 125 provided on the bottom surface of the opening closure 120 is thus elastically deformed under pressure, pressing against said open top 111, so as to form a tight seal therebetween.
In use, the open top 111 of the container body 110 is fitted over the side wall 132 of the closure 130 with the downwardly extending annular tooth 113 and the lateral annular tooth 115 of the open top 111 positioned within the upwardly facing annular groove 135 and the lateral annular groove 136, respectively, of the closure 130 and engaged with one another, and the flange 138 of the closure 130 received within the recess 116 of the open top 111. The nested container body 110 and sealing device 130 are then positioned within the receiving chamber 123 of the open closure 120 with the outlet tube 134 passing through the through-hole 124 of the open closure 120 and protruding beyond the open closure 120, and the upper edge 112 of the open top 111 of the container body 10 is horizontally clamped between the bottom surface of the open closure 120 and the shoulder 137 of the sealing device 130. Specifically, the annular reinforcement 125 provided on the bottom surface of the open closure 120 is pressed downwardly against and abuts the upper edge 112 of the open top 111 after the collar 142 is threaded with the outlet tube 134, thereby forcing the downwardly extending annular teeth 113 of the open top 111 into a mating press-fit engagement seal with the upwardly facing annular groove 135 of the sealing device 130. As shown in fig. 9, the open top 111 of the container body 110 is completely covered by the sealing means 130 along the entire circumference, the contents in the container body 110 do not leak out to the outside of the container, and the air outside the container does not easily permeate into the inside of the container, achieving an excellent sealing effect.
In addition, the lateral annular teeth 115 of the open top 111 also form a meshing seal with the lateral annular grooves 136 of the sealing device 130, which not only further enhances the sealing effect of the bag-type container 100, but also enables a more secure connection between the opening closure 120, the container body 110 and the sealing device 130.
As described above, one of the gist of the present invention is to combine three components of a bag container: the opening closure 20, 120, the container body 10, 110 and the sealing means 30, 130 are designed to be separable from each other. By providing interlockable fastening elements that mate with each other, which allow for convenient and simple assembly of the three components together, the interlockable fastening elements provided ensure that the assembled container remains sealingly closed.
The container body of the present invention is preferably a flexible container made of a flexible material. The flexible material may be a material comprising silicone or rubber, a polymer material that is non-toxic, resistant to high temperatures, low temperatures and easy to mold. A pouch-type flexible container made of silicone or rubber is suitable for storage of food. It is particularly preferred that the container body of the embodiment is molded from silicone or rubber.
The opening closure and sealing device of the present invention are preferably made of a rigid plastic material. The rigid plastic material may be made of a material including Polypropylene (PP). Polypropylene is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic plastic and has the advantages of acid and alkali resistance, chemical substance resistance, collision resistance, high temperature resistance (-20 ℃ -130 ℃) and the like. Because of its safe and stable chemical properties, polypropylene can be used not only to make food-grade containers, but also to heat in a microwave oven. Furthermore, the hard plastic material is favorable for clamping the open top of the container body, so that the sealing effect of the container is ensured.
Further, the height and volume of the container body may be changed according to various needs, and the wall thickness of the container body may be appropriately selected depending on the volume of the container. When the volume is large, the container wall can be made to have a large thickness so that the container does not break due to excessive weight of the contents.
The bag-type container with a removable opening closure of the present invention has been described in detail above by describing exemplary embodiments. It should be understood that the scope of the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, but is defined by the appended claims. Various modifications can be made to the embodiments without departing from the object and spirit of the invention, but still fall within the scope of the invention.
