The invention discloses a water-based polyester coil steel coating which is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 55-65 parts of water-based polyester resin, 10-15 parts of water-based amino resin, 1-2 parts of neutralizing agent, 20-30 parts of color paste, 8-10 parts of filler, 0.4-0.6 part of dispersing agent, 0.5-0.8 part of wetting agent, 0.3-0.5 part of defoaming agent and 30-40 parts of deionized water. The water-based polyester coil steel coating and the preparation method thereof provided by the invention have the advantages of strong adhesive force, good gloss, baking resistance, excellent weather resistance and aging resistance, high film hardness, good flexibility, environmental protection and the like, and simultaneously the water-based polyester amino coating can also be used for improving the appearance of products such as vehicles, household appliances, light industry and the like, prolonging the service life and has better competitiveness in similar products.
