The intelligent LED street lamp based on 5G communication is characterized by comprising a lamp post and a lighting unit, wherein the lamp post comprises a vertical rod unit and an installation rod unit, the lighting unit is installed on the installation rod unit, an installation box is further fixed at the vertical rod unit, and a control unit, a GPS unit and a 5G communication unit are installed in the installation box; and a plurality of expansion mounting units and a plurality of expansion interface units are arranged at the vertical rod unit.
