背景技术

参照图1,透明显示装置10可包括透明显示面板100、扫描驱动器200、数据驱动器300、时序控制器400、亮度值补偿器500和伽马曲线调节器600。在一些实施方式中,透明显示装置10还可包括入射光传感器700。尽管透明显示装置10可为有机发光二极管显示装置或液晶显示装置,但是根据本发明的透明显示装置10不限于此。

参照图1和图2,亮度值补偿器500可基于入射到透明显示面板100上的入射光的亮度Lin和透明显示面板100的透射率T来计算透明显示面板100的感知亮度Lper。
如图2中所示,可根据对比度来确定透明显示面板100的锐度(Sharpness)。图2示出了当透明显示面板100为车辆中的平视显示器(HUD)时人为因素方面的实例。例如,HUD亮度(HUD LUMINANCE)意指车辆中的平视显示器的亮度,并且背景亮度(BACKGROUNDLUMINANCE)意指车辆中的平视显示器的背景亮度。对比度可根据透明显示面板100的刺激亮度(Stimulation Luminance)、透明显示面板100的背景亮度和透明显示面板100的透射率T来确定。关于由用户感知的透明显示面板100的锐度,当对比度大于等于1.15且小于等于1.5时,可确保最高可视性。例如,当对比度为1.15或更小时,透明显示面板100的锐度可相对降低,以使得用户的可视性可降低。作为另一实例,当对比度为1.5或更大时,透明显示面板100的锐度可相对增加,以使得周围环境可不在视觉上被识别。因此,为了计算适当的感知亮度Lper,可期望保持大于等于1.15且小于等于1.5的对比度。根据本发明概念,由于透明显示装置10通过使用通过反映对比度而计算的感知亮度Lper来调节应用伽马曲线AGC,因此可向用户提供即使在具有强外部光的环境中也可清晰被感知的图像。

透明显示装置1060可显示与电子装置1000的视觉信息对应的图像。透明显示装置1060可包括配置成显示图像的透明显示面板、配置成将扫描信号提供给透明显示面板的扫描驱动器、配置成基于应用伽马曲线将图像数据转换为数据信号并且配置成将数据信号提供给透明显示面板的数据驱动器、配置成控制扫描驱动器和数据驱动器的时序控制器、配置成基于入射到透明显示面板上的入射光的亮度和透明显示面板的透射率来计算透明显示面板的感知亮度的亮度值补偿器以及配置成基于基准伽马曲线的基准伽马值和透明显示面板的感知亮度来调节应用伽马曲线的伽马曲线调节器。因此,透明显示装置1060可有效地减小由外部光引起的色调变化,并且有效地减小图像清晰度的降低。其结果,透明显示装置1060可在各种外部光环境中显示高品质图像。然而,由于以上描述了这些,因此将不重复对与其相关的重复描述。

Claims (15)
1.一种透明显示装置,包括:
透明显示面板,所述透明显示面板显示图像;
扫描驱动器,所述扫描驱动器将扫描信号提供给所述透明显示面板;
数据驱动器,所述数据驱动器基于应用伽马曲线将图像数据转换为数据信号,并且将所述数据信号提供给所述透明显示面板;
时序控制器,所述时序控制器控制所述扫描驱动器和所述数据驱动器;
亮度值补偿器,所述亮度值补偿器基于入射到所述透明显示面板上的入射光的亮度和所述透明显示面板的透射率来计算所述透明显示面板的感知亮度;以及
伽马曲线调节器,所述伽马曲线调节器基于基准伽马曲线的基准伽马值和所述透明显示面板的所述感知亮度来调节所述应用伽马曲线。
2.根据权利要求1所述的透明显示装置,其中,所述亮度值补偿器配置成基于表示所述透明显示面板的所述感知亮度、所述透明显示面板的刺激亮度和所述透明显示面板的背景亮度之间的关系的公式1来计算所述透明显示面板的所述感知亮度:

其中,Lper是所述感知亮度,Lsti是所述刺激亮度,Lbg是所述背景亮度,α是第一常数,β是第二常数,并且γ是第三常数。
3.根据权利要求2所述的透明显示装置,其中,所述透明显示面板的所述刺激亮度基于公式2来计算:

其中,Lim是图像亮度,Lin是所述入射光的所述亮度,并且T是所述透明显示面板的所述透射率。
4.根据权利要求2所述的透明显示装置,其中,所述透明显示面板的所述背景亮度基于公式3来计算:

其中,Lnim是非图像亮度,Lin是所述入射光的所述亮度,并且T是所述透明显示面板的所述透射率。
5.根据权利要求2所述的透明显示装置,还包括入射光传感器,所述入射光传感器测量所述入射光的所述亮度,以将表示所述入射光的所述亮度的入射光信息提供给所述亮度值补偿器。
6.根据权利要求2所述的透明显示装置,其中,所述亮度值补偿器配置成从所述透明显示面板接收表示所述透明显示面板的所述透射率的透射率信息。
7.根据权利要求2所述的透明显示装置,其中,所述伽马曲线调节器配置成从所述亮度值补偿器接收表示所述透明显示面板的所述感知亮度的感知亮度信息。
8.根据权利要求7所述的透明显示装置,其中,所述伽马曲线调节器包括:
伽马曲线存储块,所述伽马曲线存储块存储所述基准伽马曲线;
伽马值计算块,所述伽马值计算块基于所述基准伽马曲线的所述基准伽马值和所述透明显示面板的所述感知亮度来计算应用伽马值;以及
伽马曲线生成块,所述伽马曲线生成块生成具有所述应用伽马值的所述应用伽马曲线。
9.根据权利要求8所述的透明显示装置,其中,所述基准伽马曲线的所述基准伽马值为2.2。
10.根据权利要求2所述的透明显示装置,其中,当所述透射率为35%时,所述亮度值补偿器配置成基于公式4来计算所述透明显示面板的所述感知亮度:

Lper={2.2·Lsti+74.0}·{1.5·log(Lsti/Lbg)+1}。
11.根据权利要求2所述的透明显示装置,其中,当所述透射率为70%时,所述亮度值补偿器配置成基于公式5来计算所述透明显示面板的所述感知亮度:

Lper={1.4·Lsti+88.3}·{1.0·log(Lsti/Lbg)+1}。
12.一种驱动透明显示装置的方法,所述方法包括:
通过第一处理器基于入射到所述透明显示装置的透明显示面板上的入射光的亮度和所述透明显示面板的透射率来计算所述透明显示面板的感知亮度;
通过第二处理器基于基准伽马曲线的基准伽马值和所述透明显示面板的所述感知亮度来计算应用伽马值;
生成具有所述应用伽马值的应用伽马曲线;以及
基于所述应用伽马曲线,将图像数据转换为待施加到所述透明显示面板的数据信号。
13.根据权利要求12所述的方法,所述方法还包括:
通过传感器测量所述入射光的所述亮度,以生成表示所述入射光的所述亮度的入射光信息。
14.根据权利要求12所述的方法,所述方法还包括:
通过所述第一处理器从所述透明显示面板接收表示所述透明显示面板的所述透射率的透射率信息。
15.根据权利要求12所述的方法,其中,所述基准伽马曲线的所述基准伽马值为2.2。
