The tool for machining the welding lap joint comprises a base 1 and a driving motor 2 installed on the base 1, wherein a cutter 201 is installed at the driving end of the driving motor 2; the driving motor 2 makes linear reciprocating motion along the x axis through a linear motion guide device by taking a plane rectangular coordinate system as a reference system; the clamp is arranged on the base 1; two driving motors 2 are arranged at intervals along the x-axis direction, wherein a cutter 201 on one driving motor 2 is arranged opposite to a cutter 201 on the other driving motor 2; the clamp is located between two tools 201 and is used for clamping the front support 3 and the rear support 4.

The bottom end of the sleeve 10 is welded and fixed with the upper surface of the base 502, the sleeve 10 is in sliding fit with the bottom plate 501, the bottom plate 501 is adjusted to a proper height by arranging the wedge blocks 12 between the base 502 and the bottom plate 501 in a cushioning mode, and then the limiting bolts 11 are installed in the sleeve 10 to fasten the bottom plate 501 and the base 502. The bottom plate 501 provides mounting support for the first clamping unit 7.
