An external thread part 20 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the front part of the reel base body 10, and the nut 12 is screwed to the external thread part 20. The nut 12 moves the hood 11 forward and backward. The cover 11 is provided on the rear side of the nut 12. The hood 11 moves forward and backward together with the nut 12 but does not rotate together therewith. The cover 11 is open to the rear side. The cover 11 covers and fixes the front end 101a of the leg 101.
In fig. 2 to 6, the reel base body 10 is shown in a single body. The reel base body 10 is cylindrical, and the rod body 1 is inserted into the rod base body. The reel base body 10 has a rod insertion hole 21 through which the rod body 1 is inserted. The rod insertion hole 21 penetrates the reel base body 10 in the front-rear direction.
The reel base body 10 has an upper surface, a lower surface, and left and right side surfaces between the upper surface and the lower surface. The top surface of the reel base body 10 is a surface on which the reel 100 is placed. The reel base body 10 is provided on the upper surface thereof with a leg placement part 22 for placing a leg 101. The leg placement unit 22 includes: a first mounting surface 22a on which the distal end 101a of the leg 101 is mounted; and a second mounting surface 22b on which the rear end portion 101b of the leg 101 is mounted. The first mounting surface 22a is provided directly behind the male screw portion 20. The second mounting surface 22b is provided at a position spaced rearward from the first mounting surface 22 a.
The reel base body 10 has a cover portion 23. The cover part 23 is provided on the upper surface of the reel base body 10. The cover 23 is provided on the rear side of the foot placing part 22 and opens toward the front side. The cover part 23 covers and fixes the rear end part 101b of the leg 101. The leg 101 is sandwiched and fixed by the cover 11 and the cover 23 of the reel base body 10 in the front and rear directions. Cover 23 is provided above second mounting surface 22b, and bulges upward in a tunnel shape. Cover 23 has an upper surface and left and right side surfaces 23a, 23b (first side surface, second side surface).
The lower surface of the reel base body 10 has: a first peripheral surface portion 24 located on the circumferentially opposite side of the first placement surface 22 a; and a second peripheral surface portion 25 located on the circumferentially opposite side of the second mounting surface 22 b. The reel base body 10 has a grip 26. The grip 26 is provided on the lower surface of the reel base main body 10. The grip 26 is provided on the second peripheral surface 25 of the lower surface of the reel base body 10. The grip portion 26 bulges radially outward and downward. The front side of the grip portion 26 is capable of placing fingers. As shown in fig. 8, the grip portion 26 can be placed with a plurality of fingers, and the grip portion 26 can be placed with fingers up to the little finger 205. The amount of expansion of the grip portion 26 to the lower side increases toward the rear side. The fingers abut on the front surface 26a of the grip portion 26. The front surface 26a of the grip portion 26 extends downward while being convexly curved toward the rear side and toward the upper side. The front surface 26a of the grip portion 26 extends to the right behind the first peripheral surface portion 24.
The reel base body 10 is provided with recessed portions 27 on both left and right side surfaces. In the figure, the recess 27 is shown with a number of dots. The recessed portion 27 extends from one side surface of the reel base body 10 to the other side surface via the lower surface. The recessed portion 27 is preferably formed to be symmetrical to the left and right, may be formed to be asymmetrical to the left and right, and may be formed only on one side surface of the left and right. In the present embodiment, the recessed portion 27 is formed symmetrically.
The recessed portion 27 extends in a groove shape with the first peripheral surface portion 24 of the lower surface of the reel base body 10 as a starting point and with both right and left side surfaces inclined rearward and upward. The recess 27 extends from the first peripheral surface portion 24 to the left side surface 23a (first side surface) and to the right side surface 23b (second side surface) of the hood portion 23. In other words, the recessed portion 27 extends from the left side surface 23a of the cover portion 23 to the right side surface 23b of the cover portion 23 via the first peripheral surface portion 24 of the lower surface of the reel base body 10. The recessed portion 27 preferably extends to the more rear side than the left and right side surfaces 23a and 23b of the cover 23.
The right and left sides of the reel base body 10 are respectively provided with a convex ridge 28 having a ridge line. The ridge 28 protrudes outward in the left-right direction. The ridge 28 is inclined more upward toward the rear side. The ridge 28 is provided at a position corresponding to the second placement surface 22b in the front-rear direction and at a position corresponding to the cover 23 in the front-rear direction. The ridge 28 is arranged adjacent to the underside of the recess 27. The ridge 28 extends along the recess 27.
The lower surface of the reel base body 10 is provided with a protrusion 29 protruding downward. The protrusion 29 is provided adjacent to the rear side of the recess 27 on the lower surface of the reel base body 10.
As shown in fig. 8, the reel 100 is mounted to the reel base 2. In fig. 8, a reel 100 of a left-hand lever size is attached. Therefore, the fisherman holds the reel base 2 and the reel 100 in a right-hand bag and rotates the handle 102 of the reel 100 in the left hand. For example, the thumb 201 is placed on the reel 100, and four fingers from the index finger 202 to the little finger 205 are abutted against the reel base 2 from the lower side. At this time, the middle finger 203 can be placed along the recessed portion 27. Therefore, the reel 100 and substantially the entire reel base 2 can be easily held, and the fishing rod can be easily stabilized. In particular, the circumferential rotation of the fishing rod can be easily suppressed.
Further, since the protrusion 29 is provided on the rear side of the recessed portion 27 in the lower surface of the reel base body 10, the position of the recessed portion 27 in the lower surface of the reel base body 10 can be easily held with a finger. Therefore, the middle finger 203 can be bent from the lower surface of the reel base body 10 to the left side and along the recessed portion 27, and the middle finger 203 can be easily placed along the recessed portion 27. Further, since the ridge 28 is provided on the lower side of the recess 27 on the left side surface, the middle finger 203 placed along the recess 27 is less likely to be displaced downward. Allowing ring finger 204 to be placed along the underside of ridge 28. The ridge 28 can be located between the middle finger 203 and the ring finger 204.
In fig. 8, the left-hand reel 100 is attached to the reel base 2, but the right-hand reel 100 may be attached to the reel base 2. In the case of the right-hand grip, the reel base 2 is held by the left hand. If the reel base 2 is symmetrical, the reel 100 can be mounted in any of the left-hand size, the right-hand size, and the like.
