Abstract
一种应用于终端的小区搜索方法及通信装置，用以减少终端搜索小区的时长，提高用户体验。在该方法中，在小区搜索的频段扫描阶段中，终端获取PLMN对应的一个或多个频段，以及该一个或多个频段中每个频段所对应的频点搜索范围，其中，每个频段所对应的频点搜索范围内的频点个数，小于每个频段内的全部频点个数；根据每个频段所对应的频点搜索范围，搜索是否有合适小区，并尝试在搜索到的合适小区上驻留。
