第一方面,提供了一种处理时间同步报文的方法,包括:终端设备从外部设备接收第一时钟源的时间同步报文;从网络设备接收第一指示信息,所述第一指示信息用于指示所述终端设备进入针对所述第一时钟源的时间同步的激活状态,或者,第一指示信息用于指示所述终端设备进入针对所述第一时钟源的时间同步的去激活状态;根据所述第一指示信息,处理所述第一时钟源的时间同步报文。通过使终端设备在一个时钟源被激活和去激活时的对该时钟源的时间同步报文的处理方式相异,并通过信令指示该时钟源是否被激活或去激活,能够使终端设备采用不同的方式进行处理,能够在确保业务对时间同步的精度的需求的前提下,降低通信设备的功耗,提高通信设备的性能。
