Description

Nucleating agent composition for transparent polypropylene, application of nucleating agent composition and polypropylene composition
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of plastics, in particular to a nucleating agent composition for high-transparency polypropylene, application of the nucleating agent composition and a polypropylene composition.
Background
Polypropylene is an incompletely crystallized resin, and tends to form large-sized spherulites when homogeneously crystallized from a melt, and has low crystallinity. On the one hand, since the spherulites are larger than the wavelength of visible light, scattering or reflection of light may be caused, and on the other hand, the refractive index of the crystalline region and the non-crystalline region is different, so that the refraction phenomenon of light occurs, and all the phenomena directly cause the increase of haze of the product. It will be appreciated that improving the transparency of polypropylene articles can be accomplished by reducing the spherulitic size to a value less than the wavelength of visible light; increasing the crystallization density to enable the miniaturized spherulites to reach the mutual collision degree and reducing the amorphous area as much as possible; the addition of a nucleating agent is certainly an ideal method to meet the above requirements.
The 1,3:2, 4-di (3, 4-dimethylbenzylidene) -D-sorbitol (DMDBS) nucleating agent has the advantages of excellent heat stability, no smell, low precipitation and the like due to the unique principle, is widely applied, and can obviously improve the transparency of polypropylene and reduce the haze value by a small amount of addition, but the DMDBS transparent nucleating agent has high melting point and limited compatibility with polypropylene, so that a saturated concentration exists, the haze value cannot be reduced beyond the concentration, but can be increased, meanwhile, the anti-reflection effect is not ideal in a thick polypropylene product, and vacuum pores are easy to generate. Therefore, how to further promote the dispersion of DMDBS and further improve the anti-reflection effect of the DMDBS has very important significance.

The following examples illustrate the composition of the nucleating agent composition for transparent polypropylene described above, the method for preparing the same, and the performance thereof.
Examples
The polypropylene material is used as a base material, and the weight parts of the components are as follows:
polypropylene material: 100 parts of the total weight of the mixture,
0.001-0.2 part of main antioxidant,
0.001-0.2 part of auxiliary antioxidant,
0.01 to 0.3 part of acid scavenger,
0.15-0.5 part of nucleating agent DMDBS,
the transparent modifier is 0.05-0.5 part.
0.03-0.2 part of antistatic agent
During preparation, the components are added into a high-speed kneader, stirred and mixed for 5 minutes, discharged, mixed and granulated in a double-screw extruder, and extrusion granulation temperatures are respectively set to 190 ℃ and 230 ℃. And then, respectively carrying out injection molding standard sample bars at 190 ℃ and 230 ℃ on the polypropylene resin particles obtained by pelleting, and comparing haze values of the standard sample pieces obtained at different molding temperatures. The lower the haze value, the better the transparency.
Referring to table 1, table 1 lists a plurality of comparative examples and examples, and according to the above method, corresponding standard bars were prepared according to the compositions of each comparative example and example, and were tested, and the test results are shown in table 1.
Test method
Transparency test of injection molded sheet: the granulated polypropylene particles were injection molded into plaques of 1.0mm and 2.0mm thickness, and then the haze value of the plaques was measured,
and (5) carrying out temperature resistance test on the injection-molded tensile standard sample bar.
It can be seen from the comparative examples and comparative examples that lithium stearate, lithium dodecahydroxystearate, does not improve the haze value of polypropylene. 1,3:2, 4-bis (3, 4-dimethylbenzylidene) -D-sorbitol (DMDBS) can significantly reduce polypropylene haze, but extrusion and injection molding temperatures greatly affect the haze value of 1,3:2, 4-bis (3, 4-dimethylbenzylidene) -D-sorbitol (DMDBS), and the haze value is relatively low at high extrusion granulation temperature (230 ℃) or injection molding temperature (230 ℃) and low extrusion granulation temperature (190 ℃) and injection molding temperature (190 ℃) which can lead to higher haze and lower transparency. The example data shows that by compounding 1,3:2, 4-bis (3, 4-dimethylbenzylidene) -D-sorbitol (DMDBS) with the transparency modifier lithium stearate or lithium dodecahydroxystearate, lower haze values can be obtained, and better transparency can be achieved, whether by extrusion and injection molding at low temperatures of 190℃or at high temperatures of 230 ℃.
