Abstract
The invention relates to the technical field of plastics, and provides a nucleating agent composition for transparent polypropylene, application thereof and a polypropylene composition. The nucleating agent composition comprises the following components in parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of polypropylene: 0.001-0.2 part of main antioxidant, 0.001-0.2 part of auxiliary antioxidant, 0.01-0.3 part of acid scavenger, 0.15-0.5 part of sorbitol acetal nucleating agent, 0.05-0.5 part of transparent modifier and 0.03-0.2 part of antistatic agent. The nucleating agent composition for transparent polypropylene has a wider processing window while maintaining high transparency of the polypropylene composition.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of plastics, and particularly relates to a nucleating agent composition for high-transparency polypropylene, application thereof and a polypropylene composition.
Background
Polypropylene-based incompletely crystallized resins tend to form large spherulites when homogeneously crystallized from the melt, and have low crystallinity. On the one hand, the spherulite size is larger than the wavelength of visible light, which may cause scattering or reflection of light, and on the other hand, the refractive index of the crystalline region is different from that of the amorphous region, which causes the occurrence of light refraction phenomenon, all of which directly cause the increase of haze of the article. It is understood that the improvement of the transparency of the polypropylene product can be started from two aspects, namely, the size of spherulites is reduced to be smaller than the wavelength of visible light; the crystal density is increased, the micronized spherulites reach the degree of mutual collision, and the amorphous area is reduced as much as possible; the addition of nucleating agents is clearly a desirable way to meet the above requirements.
The 1,3:2, 4-bis (3, 4-dimethylbenzylidene) -D-sorbitol (DMDBS) nucleating agent has the advantages of excellent thermal stability, no odor, low precipitation and the like due to unique principle, is widely applied, can obviously improve the transparency of polypropylene and reduce the haze value by adding a small amount of the nucleating agent, but has a saturated concentration due to high melting point of the DMDBS transparent nucleating agent and limited compatibility with the polypropylene, the haze value cannot be reduced but can be increased beyond the saturated concentration, and meanwhile, the anti-reflection effect is not ideal in thick polypropylene products and vacuum air holes are easy to generate. Therefore, how to further promote the dispersion of DMDBS and further improve the anti-reflection effect of DMDBS has very important significance.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above, a nucleating agent composition for transparent polypropylene, an application thereof and a polypropylene composition are provided, wherein the nucleating agent composition for transparent polypropylene significantly promotes the dispersibility of 1,3:2, 4-bis (3, 4-dimethylbenzylidene) -D-sorbitol (DMDBS) in polypropylene, improves the anti-reflection effect thereof and improves the defect that vacuum pores are easily generated.
The nucleating agent composition for the transparent polypropylene comprises the following components in parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of polypropylene:
0.001 to 0.2 portion of main antioxidant,
0.001-0.2 part of auxiliary antioxidant,
the acid scavenger is 0.01-0.3 parts,
sorbitol acetal nucleating agent 0.15-0.5 parts,
0.05 to 0.5 portion of transparent modifier,
0.03 to 0.2 portion of antistatic agent,
wherein the nucleating agent is 1,3:2, 4-bis (3, 4-dimethylbenzylidene) -D-sorbitol.
Preferably, the selected polypropylene is a propylene-ethylene random copolymer, ethylene is copolymerized to a molecular main chain in the propylene polymerization process as a comonomer, and the ethylene content in the random copolymerized polypropylene is preferably 0.2wt% -10 wt%.

The nucleating agent composition for transparent polypropylene is used for manufacturing thick injection-molded products such as food packages, lunch boxes for microwave ovens, finishing boxes, medical injectors and the like. These thick plastic articles require better transparency.
The following examples are provided to illustrate the composition, preparation method, and performance of the nucleating agent composition for transparent polypropylene.
Examples
The polypropylene material is used as a base material, and the weight parts of the components are as follows:
mixing a polypropylene material: 100 parts of (a) a water-soluble polymer,
0.001 to 0.2 portion of main antioxidant,
0.001-0.2 part of auxiliary antioxidant,
the acid scavenger is 0.01-0.3 parts,
0.15 to 0.5 portion of nucleating agent DMDBS,
0.05-0.5 part of transparent modifier.
0.03-0.2 part of antistatic agent
During preparation, the components are added into a high-speed kneader, stirred and mixed for 5 minutes, and discharged, and mixed and granulated in a double-screw extruder, wherein the extrusion and granulation temperatures are respectively set to be 190 ℃ and 230 ℃. And then, respectively carrying out injection molding on the polypropylene resin particles obtained by granulation at 190 ℃ and 230 ℃ to obtain standard sample strips for testing, and comparing the haze values of the standard sample pieces obtained at different molding temperatures. The lower the haze value, the better the transparency.
Referring to table 1, table 1 shows a plurality of comparative examples and examples, corresponding standard bars were prepared according to the above-mentioned methods according to the compositions of the comparative examples and examples, and the test results are shown in table 1.
Test method
Testing the transparency of the injection molding sheet: the granulated polypropylene particles were injection molded into plaques of 1.0mm and 2.0mm thickness, and then the haze values of the plaques were measured,
and (5) carrying out temperature resistance test on the injection molding tensile standard sample strip.
It can be seen by comparing the examples and comparative examples that lithium stearate, lithium dodecahydroxystearate did not improve the haze value of polypropylene. 1,3:2, 4-bis (3, 4-dimethylbenzylidene) -D-sorbitol (DMDBS) can obviously reduce the haze of polypropylene, but the haze value of the 1,3:2, 4-bis (3, 4-dimethylbenzylidene) -D-sorbitol (DMDBS) is greatly influenced by the extrusion and injection molding temperature, the haze value is lower only by requiring high extrusion granulation temperature (230 ℃) or injection molding temperature (230 ℃), and the haze is higher and the transparency is reduced if the extrusion granulation temperature (190 ℃) and the injection molding temperature (190 ℃) are low. The data of the examples show that by compounding 1,3:2, 4-bis (3, 4-dimethylbenzylidene) -D-sorbitol (DMDBS) and a transparent modifier lithium stearate or lithium dodecahydroxystearate, a lower haze value can be obtained and better transparency can be realized no matter the extrusion and injection molding are carried out at the low temperature of 190 ℃ or the high temperature of 230 ℃.
