Abstract
本发明涉及一种森林腐木分解的评估方法,特别是一种白蚁对森林腐木分解影响的评估方法,其选择区域常见乔、灌木物种分别为12个和6个以上个体,制作两份相同的待测样品,一部分采用孔径为4mm的尼龙网制作的网袋来封装样品,作为不隔离白蚁的分解样品对照组,另一部分采用孔径为0.5mm的不锈钢网制作的网袋密封样品,作为隔离白蚁的处理组;在微地形相同的典型林分中,设立腐木分解样地,定期回收及检测样品分解信息;对照组和处理组分解样品回收后对其质量损耗进行测定,通过对比处理组和对照组的样品分解速率,来确定白蚁对腐木分解的影响。本发明可准确地评估白蚁对森林腐木分解的影响,具有经济实用、操作方便、便于推广应用等优点。
Description
技术领域
本发明涉及一种森林腐木分解的评估方法,特别是一种白蚁对森林腐木分解影响的评估方法。
背景技术
白蚁是一类古老的社会性昆虫,它们主要以纤维素类物质为食。在白蚁消化系统内,存在完整的纤维素酶体系。白蚁能依靠自身分泌的体内共生菌分泌的纤维素酶,来分解食物中的木质纤维素类物质,具有快速破碎腐木的能力。近年来,由于极端气候、自然灾害和种间林木竞争死亡等因素影响造成森林地表存在大量腐木残体,因此人们重视白蚁对腐木分解影响,并对其机理做了大量研究。但是在森林腐木分解过程的影响,难以准确量化,未能科学评估,不能满足生产上对腐木分解和预测生态系统物质循环功能需求。
目前,白蚁对森林腐木分解影响的评估方法主要有以下做法:(1)基于腐木中白蚁的取食痕迹和程度,但由于白蚁对不同质量的偏爱程度不一,加之树皮的影响,白蚁取食痕迹通常发生在腐木的边材和心材,人们肉眼难观测、度量,存在易变性;(2)人为观测白蚁的取食和取食量具有主观性,很难提供统一的标准,导致难以精确的评估结论;(3)主流评判白蚁对腐木分解速率的影响,通过人为划定白蚁取食程度等级,例如1级为<10%;2级为10-20%;以后每加10%进阶1级,5级为>50%,这样的标准只能大致评估白蚁对森林腐木分解的影响,但很难做到精确量化;(4)采用量化白蚁数量来评估的方法,但由于分解中后期,腐木中的营养物质消耗殆尽,白蚁数量减少,因此,也不能很好的量化腐木分解中白蚁的影响,加之其投入成本高,导致无法普及使用。
经文献检索发现,目前白蚁对腐木分解影响研究较少。关于白蚁的研究,多与白蚁肠道真菌和腐木中真菌、白蚁防治和抗白蚁材料研究等方向,例如巫东豪等于2018年利用白蚁取食引起细木质残体体积损失率来评估白蚁对腐木分解过程的影响;邱浩林等,在2010年通过引诱法设置饵木矩阵研究白蚁对凋落枝的分解贡献,这些研究均采用人为目测,或采用统一饵料,其精确性和可信性较低,无法科学准确地量化出真实地森林中常见树种腐木中,白蚁对分解速率的影响。
发明内容
本发明针对当前白蚁对森林腐木分解的影响存在的不确定性问题,提出一种白蚁对森林腐木分解影响的评估方法。上述评估方法中实验样品标准化,实验布设时间同一化,质量损耗测定精细化,确保了实验的真实性和准确性,能够达到精准评估。
由此可见,本发明的目的是提供一种高精确性和可信性的白蚁对森林腐木分解影响的评估方法。
为了实现上述目的,本发明所设计的一种白蚁对森林腐木分解影响的评估方法,其包括以下步骤:
(1)样品收集:在秋末,选择区域常见乔木和灌木分别为12个和6个以上物种;样木标准为:主干通直、圆满、树皮无损伤和虫洞、无病虫害,长势良好;乔木物种在树冠的大枝条中收集直径为5±0.5cm,长度20cm的粗枝;灌木物种,在每棵树基部向上20cm收集直径5±0.5cm,长度20cm;作为待测样品;
(2)样品设置:在立地条件、林相和林分组成相同的林分中,设立腐木分解样地;将样品分两组放置在样地,一组采用孔径0.5mm 304不锈钢制作的网袋贮放样品作为森林中隔离白蚁活动的处理组,另一组采用孔径4mm尼龙网袋封袋树枝样品,作为不隔离白蚁的分解样品的对照组;
(3)样品处理:样品检测期为18个月,每6个月分别回收检测两组样品,去除网袋,用毛刷对样品上附着泥土和杂物进行全面清洗,然后将样品放入纸袋,标号登记,放置于80℃烘箱,烘干后测定其恒重;
(4)数据分析:统计白蚁取食对森林腐木分解的影响,利用相同树种不隔离白蚁的对照组样品的分解速率和隔离白蚁的处理组样品的分解速率的差异来评估。

上述评估方法的步骤(4)中所述样品的分解速率,以Mass loss为样品质量损耗率(%),其计算公式:

其中,x0为初始质量;xt为分解第t个月样品的残留质量。
且上述评估方法的步骤(4)中所述白蚁对腐木分解的影响,采用白蚁效应(EF)来表征白蚁的作用,值越大则表示白蚁的影响越大,计算公式:

其中,N为各分解阶段不隔离白蚁的对照组白蚁分解样品的质量损耗;T为各分解阶段隔离白蚁的处理组白蚁分解样品的质量损耗。
本发明利用野外控制实验,通过利用不同孔径、材质的网袋,在典型森林中选择常见乔木和灌木物种制作分解样品设置不隔离白蚁的对照组和隔离白蚁的处理组,分别量化腐木分解周期内隔离白蚁的处理组和不隔离白蚁的对照组的腐木分解速率,可以精准量化不同物种腐木的隔离白蚁和不隔离白蚁的分解速率的差异,有助于准确量化白蚁对常见树种腐木的分解速率的影响,科学预测白蚁在森林生态系统物质循环中的作用及功能。
本发明得到的一种白蚁对森林腐木分解影响的评估方法,通过其与现有技术的比较,其具备以下的显著优点:
1)本方法通过设置野外分解控制实验,采用不同孔径和材质网袋,设置隔离和不隔离白蚁两组分解样品,来量化森林腐木分解过程白蚁影响,具有精确性和可信性。
2)本方法利用亚热带常见树种进行野外分解控制实验,同时检测白蚁对不同树种分解过程的影响,设置重复测定,提高了实验结果的可靠性和方法的普适性,具有经济适用,操作方便,便于农林技术人员掌握实施,该技术也可以用于其它类似的生物技术监测和评估。
3)本方法通过对比隔离和不隔离处理分解样品的分解速率差异,可以定量化计算白蚁在腐木分解中的贡献,为科学计算亚热带森林生态系统碳周转模型提供了生物影响系数,为准确监测森林生态系统碳周转功能提供了技术支撑。

具体实施方式
以下通过具体实施案例对本发明的评估方法进行详细描述。
实施例1:
实施地点位于浙江省宁波市鄞州区天童山林场木荷林(Schima superba),实验时间2017年1月至2020年7月,设置三个平行分解样地以减少实验误差。
天童林区面积370hm2,境内分布着较大面积以木荷、石栎(Lithocarpus glaber)、米槠(Castanopsis carlesii)为优势种典型发育成熟的常绿阔叶林,在沟谷地带伴生着南酸枣(Choerospondias axillaris)、枫香(Liquidambar formosana)为优势种的常绿落叶阔叶混交林。土壤以山地红黄壤为主,pH介于4.4至5.1之间,土壤质地为6.8%砂砾,55.5%粉粒和37.7%黏粒。
在亚热带典型常绿阔叶林中,选择30个物种,2017年10月至11月,进行样品收集。出于实验标准化考量,样木选择标准为:乔木冠层主枝径级为5±0.5cm,灌木胸径为5±0.5cm,所选个体主干通直、树干圆满。为确保所有样品分解起点相同,所选目标树木外皮无损伤和树洞、无虫害,且长势良好。
2017年11月,在天童山典型常绿阔叶林内,建立3个20m×30m的重复样方,用来铺设分解实验样品,每个样方具备相似的地形(坡度、坡向、海拔)和样地属性(岩石占比)。为了减少样方之间的相互影响,样方间设立20m的缓冲带。
直径为5cm粗枝(包括灌木树干)样本均在室温通风条件下风干并储存。
购买网孔大小为4mm×4mm尼龙网,将尼龙网制成大小为25cm×15cm的尼龙网袋,网袋数量为30个树种×3(样方)×3(收获次数),共270个;提前准备好304不锈钢网,网孔大小为0.5mm×0.5mm,将304不锈钢网制成25cm×15cm的不锈钢网袋,网袋数量为30个树种×3(样方)×3(收获次数),共270个。
2018年1月,将事先风干好的5cm粗枝和灌木树干,同一个树种的样品分成两组,一组装进尼龙网袋密封,用以制作对照组分解样品。另一组装入304不锈钢网袋进行密封,用以制作处理组分解样品。样品量为:30个树种×3(样方)×3(收获次数)×2(处理组/对照组),共540个。将准备好的样品放置在分解样地中,样品取回时间的间隔分别为分解6个月、12个月、18个月。
样品回收时,在野外利用自封袋密封好,带回实验室处理。样品处理时,去除网袋,先利用毛刷对分解样品上附着的泥土进行清理,然后用蒸馏水对分解样品进行清洗,以确保分解样品上的附着物全部被清理干净。
清洁后的分解样品应放入纸袋中进行编号,然后放入烘箱,调至80℃,烘干至恒重。
为得到不同物种树干分解速率,以样品质量损耗百分比作为评估标准,利用初始质量(x0)与为分解第t个月后分解样品的残留质量(xt)之差与初始质量的比值Mass loss为样品质量损耗率(%),详见如下公式:
Mass loss=[(x0-xt)/x0]*100%
白蚁对腐木的影响是根据常见树种不隔离白蚁的对照组分解样品的分解速率和隔离白蚁的处理组分解样品的分解速率的差异来评估的。为了更准确地量化白蚁对腐木分解的影响,我们采用白蚁效应来表征白蚁的作用。计算公式如下:
EF=(N-T)/N
其中,EF为白蚁效应,N为各分解阶段不隔离白蚁的对照组的分解样品的质量损耗,T为各分解阶段隔离白蚁的处理组的分解样品的质量损耗,白蚁效应为对照组与处理组的质量损耗差与对照组质量损耗的比值,效应值为正值表示白蚁对分解的影响大,即数值越大白蚁的影响越大,效应值为零则表示白蚁没有影响。
参见图1,通过分解6个月、12个月、18个月分解周期,在天童山森林,白蚁对30种常见树种的腐木均存在显著影响,均加速了腐木的分解;并且物种间的白蚁影响的效应值不同,效应值系数代表了白蚁对该树种腐木在分解过程中的影响大小。例如,在分解6个月时,红花木莲隔离白蚁的处理组的分解速率为15.32%,而不隔离白蚁的对照组的分解速率为33.97%,白蚁的效应值为0.55;在分解18个月时,三角槭隔离白蚁的处理组的分解速率为5.19%,而不隔离白蚁的对照组的分解速率为27.05%,白蚁的效应值为0.81。这说明,本发明技术方法可以精准的测度出白蚁在不同分解时期不同物种分解速率的影响。
为了进一步验证本发明的可靠性,通过开展第二个具体实施例对技术方案的可行性进一步论证和说明。
实施例2:
实施地点位于浙江省舟山市普陀山风景名胜区青冈林(Cyclobalanopsisglauca),实验时间为2017年1月至2020年7月,样地面积为20m×30m,设置三个平行分解样地以减少实验误差。
普陀山平均气温为16℃,全年气温在5.4至27℃之间波动。年平均降水量为1358.14mm。土壤类型以砂质红土为主,母质多为粗粒花岗岩风化岩。该区典型的常绿阔叶林以青冈为优势种,伴生种为石栎等;在山谷和山脚区域分布以枫香和朴树(Celtissinensis)等为优势种的常绿落叶阔叶混交林。
为了检验结果的可重复性,采用与天童山分解样地相同的30个物种,其中分解实验样品、野外分解控制实验设置及分解样品的质量损耗的计算方法均与天童山一致。
在普陀山青冈林样地,在分解6个月、12个月、18个月,30个物种的白蚁效应如图2所示,检测结果与天童山木荷林具有一致性,白蚁对30种常见树种的腐木均存在显著影响,均加速了腐木的分解;并且物种间的白蚁影响的效应值不同。例如,在分解6个月时,红花木莲隔离白蚁的处理组的分解速率为8.75%,而不隔离白蚁的对照组的分解速率为35.93%,白蚁的效应值为0.76;在分解18个月时,青冈隔离白蚁的处理组的分解速率为11.38%,而不隔离白蚁的对照组的分解速率为17.29%,白蚁的效应值为0.34。因此,通过隔离白蚁的处理组和不隔离白蚁的对照组的野外分解控制实验,来检验白蚁对分解的影响具有良好的可信度和普适性,该方法具有推导过程完整、机理性强、解释性好、生物意义明确等优良特点。

1.一种白蚁对森林腐木分解影响的评估方法,其特征是包括以下步骤:
(1)样品收集:在秋末,选择区域常见乔木和灌木分别为12个和6个以上物种,样木标准为:主干通直、圆满、树皮无损伤和虫洞、无病虫害,长势良好;乔木物种在树冠的大枝条中收集直径为5±0.5cm,长度20cm的粗枝;灌木物种,在每棵树基部向上20cm收集直径5±0.5cm,长度20cm;作为待测样品;
