Abstract

The invention provides a tiled display device, comprising: a first display panel; a second display panel adjacent to the first display panel with a gap therebetween; and a connecting member for connecting the first display panel and the second display panel and covering the gap between the first display panel and the second display panel. The splicing display device provided by the invention can effectively solve the problem that the operation experience of multiple windows is influenced by visual discontinuity caused by the fact that background or ambient light is transmitted out of the gap between the adjacent positions of the first display panel and the second display panel in the prior art by using the connecting piece to cover the gap or the open space between the adjacent positions of the first display panel and the second display panel.

Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of display, in particular to a splicing display device.
Background
With the development of computer technology, it is becoming a trend to open multiple windows simultaneously on an electronic device (e.g., a computer) to reduce the time for switching pages back and forth when processing data and increase the amount of work space for multitasking. Especially in the professional field with the demand of instant audio-visual monitoring, such as the aviation industry, the bank financial industry, and the medical industry, the work efficiency can be effectively improved, and the complicated operations can be reduced.
Generally, a user can connect the external screen to a main screen of the electronic device and move a part of the opened windows to the external screen for displaying, thereby realizing simultaneous display of multiple windows. Or a mode of splicing a plurality of screens is adopted, and a screen extension display mode (extended mode) provided by the electronic device is utilized to increase the visual extension feeling. However, in any way, a gap or an empty space is formed between adjacent screens, so that the background or ambient light can be transmitted through the gap, which causes visual discontinuity and affects the operation experience of multiple windows.
Therefore, there is a need to design a new type of tiled display device to overcome the above-mentioned drawbacks.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention aims to provide a splicing display device which can effectively shade a gap between adjacent screens in the splicing display device.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a tiled display device, comprising: a first display panel; a second display panel adjacent to the first display panel with a gap therebetween; and a connecting member for connecting the first display panel and the second display panel and covering the gap between the first display panel and the second display panel.
Preferably, one end of the connecting member is fixed to the first back plate of the first display panel by a first fixing member, and the other end of the connecting member opposite to the first end is fixed to the second back plate of the second display panel by a second fixing member.
Preferably, the connector comprises: any one or combination of foldable shading textile, shading plasticized film, shading non-woven fabric and shading metal sheet.
Preferably, the first fixing member and/or the second fixing member includes a hook and loop fastener, an adhesive tape, a tie or a locking member.
Preferably, the tiled display device further comprises: the first light shading plate is arranged on the first back plate and is convexly arranged at the edge of a first screen of the first display panel, wherein the first back plate is positioned at the opposite side of the first screen; and a second light shielding plate arranged on the second back plate and protruding at the edge of the second screen of the second display panel, wherein the second back plate is positioned at the opposite side of the second screen.
Preferably, one end of the connecting piece is fixed to the first light shielding plate by a third fixing piece, and the other end of the connecting piece opposite to the first light shielding plate is fixed to the second light shielding plate by a fourth fixing piece, so that the connecting piece covers the adjacent position of the first light shielding plate and the second light shielding plate.
Preferably, the first light shielding plate is disposed at an upper edge of the first display panel and an outer edge of the first display panel far away from the gap; the second light shielding plate is arranged at the upper edge of the second display panel and the outer edge of the second display surface far away from the gap.
Preferably, the rotatable angle between the first screen and the second screen is between 60 ° and 180 °.
Preferably, the first display panel and the second display panel are electrically connected or electrically isolated from each other.
Preferably, the connector has a reflectivity of less than 50%.
Compared with the prior art, the splicing display device provided by the invention can effectively solve the problem that the operation experience of multiple windows is influenced because the visual discontinuity is caused by the fact that the background or the ambient light is transmitted out from the gap between the adjacent positions of the first display panel and the second display panel in the prior art by using the connecting piece to cover the gap or the open space between the adjacent positions of the first display panel and the second display panel.

Detailed Description
In order to further understand the objects, structures, features and functions of the present invention, the following embodiments are described in detail.
Certain terms are used throughout the description and following claims to refer to particular components. As one of ordinary skill in the art will appreciate, manufacturers may refer to a component by different names. The present specification and claims do not intend to distinguish between components that differ in name but not function. In the following description and in the claims, the terms "include" and "comprise" are used in an open-ended fashion, and thus should be interpreted to mean "include, but not limited to.
Referring to fig. 1A and fig. 1B, fig. 1A is a perspective view illustrating a tiled display apparatus 100 according to an embodiment of the invention; FIG. 1B is a perspective view of the tiled display apparatus 100 shown in FIG. 1A. In some embodiments of the present description, tiled display device 100 includes: a first display panel 101, a second display panel 102, and a connector 103.
The second display panel 102 is adjacent to the first display panel 101, and is spaced apart from the first display panel 101 by a gap 104. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the first Display panel 101 and the second Display panel 102 may be one of a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel, an Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) panel, a Micro LED (Micro LED) panel, an Electronic Paper Display (EPD) panel, or an Electronic Ink (E-Ink) Display panel, respectively.
The first display panel 101 includes a first screen 101a for displaying images and a first back plate 101b located on the opposite side of the first screen 101 a. The second display panel 102 includes a second screen 102a for displaying images and a second back plate 102b located on the opposite side of the second screen 102 a. And the first screen 101a and the second screen 102a substantially face the same side (i.e., the side facing the user), and the first screen 101a and the second screen 102a both include an angle θ greater than 0 ° and smaller than 180 °. In some embodiments of the present description, the angle θ ° formed by the first screen 101a and the second screen 102a is preferably between 60 ° and 180 °.
Preferably, in the present embodiment, the angle θ ° formed by the first screen 101a and the second screen 102a may be substantially 165 °.
In one embodiment, the types and sizes of the first display panel 101 and the second display panel 102 may be the same or different. The first display panel 101 and the second display panel 102 may be electrically connected through a wire or a data line (not shown), so as to achieve simultaneous display of multiple windows, or increase visual extension by using a screen extension mode display mode. In another embodiment, the first display panel 101 and the second display panel 102 may also be electrically isolated from each other (i.e., no data connection is made), and the images in the first screen 101a and the second screen 102a are displayed independently from each other.
Preferably, the first display panel 101 and the second display panel 102 are both liquid crystal display panels.
In one embodiment, the connecting member 103 connects the first display panel 101 and the second display panel 102 and covers the first display panel 101 and the second display panel 102.
Specifically, the connecting member 103 may be made of a flexible light-shielding material and completely covers the gap 104 between the first display panel 101 and the second display panel 102. The material of the connecting member 103 may have a reflectivity of less than 50%, preferably less than 25%. For example, the connecting member 103 may be made of foldable light-shielding textile, light-shielding plasticized film, light-shielding nonwoven fabric, non-reflective light-shielding metal sheet, or any combination thereof.
Further, the physical form of the connecting member 103 may be a piece of film or plate, a piece of fabric, cloth or non-woven fabric, which are integrally formed; or a composite structure formed by connecting/stacking a plurality of membranes or plates; or a foldable/unfoldable structure formed by connecting/pivoting a membrane or a plate and a material fabric, a cloth, a wire or other heterogeneous members made of different materials. For example, in some embodiments, the connecting member 103 may be a foldable shade formed by combining an opaque cloth, a connecting wire, and a plurality of light-shielding plates.
As shown in fig. 1B, one end of the connecting member 103 is fixed on the first back plate 101B of the first display panel 101 by a first fixing member 105, and the other end of the connecting member 103 is fixed on the second back plate 102B of the second display panel 102 by a second fixing member 106. The first fixing member 105 and the second fixing member 106 may be made of the same or different materials, such as velcro, adhesive tape, tie strap, or locking member (e.g., screw/nut or rivet).
Preferably, the first fixing member 105 and the second fixing member 106 may be both hook and loop fasteners.
It should be noted that the positions of the first fixing member 105 and the second fixing member 106 are not limited thereto. In another embodiment, the first fixing member 105 can be fixed on the upper edge 101c of the first display panel 101; while the second fixing member 106 is fixed to the upper edge 102c of the second display panel 102. In addition, the first fixing member 105 can be fixed on the first back plate 101b of the first display panel 101, and the second fixing member 106 can be fixed on two sides or the upper edge 102c of the second display panel 102.
The tiled display device 100 further includes at least one first light shielding plate 107 disposed on the first backplane 101b and extending from the upper edge 101c of the first display panel 101 to beyond the first screen 101 a; and at least one second light shielding plate 108 disposed on the second back plate and extending from the upper edge 102c of the second display panel 102 to beyond the second screen 102 a. For example, in the present embodiment, the first light shielding plate 107 may be fixed to the first back plate 101b of the first display panel 101 or fixed to the upper edge 101c of the first display panel 101 by a fixing member, such as a hook and loop fastener, a screw, or an adhesive tape (not shown), and then extends from the upper edge 101c of the first display panel 101 to the display direction of the first screen 101a, and forms an included angle of substantially 90 ° (but not limited thereto) with the first screen 101 a.
The second light shielding plate 108 may be fixed to the second back plate 102b of the second display panel 102 or fixed to the upper edge 102c of the second display panel 102 by a fixing member, such as a hook and loop fastener, a screw, or an adhesive tape (not shown), and then extends from the upper edge 102c of the second display panel 102 to the display direction of the second screen 102a, and forms an included angle of substantially 90 ° (but not limited thereto) with the second screen 102 a.
Preferably, in order to secure the structural stability, a portion of the connecting member 103 is fixed to the first light shielding plate 107 and the second light shielding plate 108, respectively. For example, in the present embodiment, the upper left end of the connecting element 103 is fixed on the top surface of the first light shielding plate 107 by the third fixing element 109, and the upper right end of the connecting element 103 is fixed on the top surface of the second light shielding plate 108 by the fourth fixing element 110. The third fixing element 109 and the fourth fixing element 110 may be made of the same material and have the same fixing manner as the first fixing element 105 and the second fixing element 106.
By the mask of the connecting member 103, the gap 104 between the first display panel 101 and the second display panel 102 is not exposed, so that the problem of discontinuous vision of the user caused by scattering of the background or ambient light from the gap 104 to the display sides of the first screen 101a and the second screen 102a during operation can be prevented, and the operation experience of multiple windows can be improved.
The number and the arrangement position of the first light shielding plate 107 and the second light shielding plate 108 are not limited to this. For example, referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is a perspective view of a tiled display device 200 according to another embodiment of the invention. The tiled display device 200 is substantially similar to the tiled display device 100 shown in FIG. 1A, and the main difference is that the tiled display device 200 further includes light shielding plates 207a and 207b protruding from the left and right edges 101d of the first display panel 101, and light shielding plates 208a and 208b protruding from the left and right edges 102d of the second display panel 102.
In this embodiment, the light shielding plates 207a and 207b may be fixed on the first back plate 101b of the first display panel 101 or the left and right edges 101d of the first display panel 101 by fasteners such as velcro tape, screws, or adhesive tape (not shown), respectively, and then extend from the left and right edges 101d to the display direction of the first screen 101a, respectively, and form an included angle of substantially 90 ° (but not limited thereto) with the first screen 101 a; the light shielding plates 208a and 208b may be fixed on the second back plate 102b of the second display panel 102 or the left and right edges 102d of the second display panel 102 by fasteners such as velcro tapes, screws, or tapes (not shown), respectively, and extend from the left and right edges 102d to the display direction of the second screen 102a, respectively, and form an included angle of substantially 90 ° (but not limited thereto) with the second screen 102 a.
By the shielding of the light shielding plates 207a, 207b, 208a and 208b, the interference of the background or the ambient light can be further prevented, and the operation comfort of the user is improved.
Referring to fig. 3, fig. 3 is a perspective view illustrating a tiled display device 300 according to another embodiment of the invention. In this embodiment, the masks 207b and 208b may also be removed. As shown in FIG. 3, the structure of the tiled display device 300 is substantially similar to the tiled display device 200 shown in FIG. 2. The main difference between the two is that the edge of the first display panel 101 and the second display panel 102 adjacent to each other is not provided with a light shielding plate.
Specifically, in the present embodiment, the first display panel 101 is provided with the first light shielding plate 107 only at the upper edge 101c of the first display panel 101; and a light shielding plate 307 is arranged at the left side edge far away from the gap 104; without any light-shielding plate being arranged at the right side edge of the first display panel 101 adjoining the gap 104. The second display panel 102 is provided with a second light shielding plate 108 only at the upper edge 102c of the second display panel 102; and a light shielding plate 308 is arranged at the right edge far away from the gap 104; without any light shielding plate being arranged at the left side edge 102d of the second display panel 102 adjacent to the gap 104.
According to the embodiments, the present invention provides a tiled display device, which uses a connecting member to cover a gap or an open space between adjacent portions of a first display panel and a second display panel, so as to effectively solve the problem in the prior art that the operation experience of multiple windows is affected due to the discontinuous vision caused by the transmission of the background or ambient light from the gap between the adjacent portions of the first display panel and the second display panel.

Claims (10)

a first display panel;
a second display panel adjacent to the first display panel with a gap therebetween; and
the connecting piece is used for connecting the first display panel and the second display panel and covering the interval between the first display panel and the second display panel.

A tiled display arrangement according to claim 1, wherein one end of the connecting member is fixed to the first backplane of the first display panel by a first fixing member, and the opposite end of the connecting member is fixed to the second backplane of the second display panel by a second fixing member.

4. A tiled display arrangement according to claim 2 wherein the first and/or second fixing means comprise velcro, tape, ties or locking means.
5. A tiled display arrangement according to claim 1, further comprising:
the first light shading plate is arranged on the first back plate and is convexly arranged at the edge of a first screen of the first display panel, wherein the first back plate is positioned at the opposite side of the first screen; and
and the second light shading plate is arranged on the second back plate and is convexly arranged at the edge of a second screen of the second display panel, wherein the second back plate is positioned at the opposite side of the second screen.

A tiled display arrangement according to claim 5, wherein one end of the connecting member is fixed to the first light shield by a third fixing member, and the opposite end of the connecting member is fixed to the second light shield by a fourth fixing member, such that the connecting member covers the first light shield adjacent to the second light shield.
