In fig. 4, the rib 8 is connected to the front side surface of the groove 2a (i.e., the back surface 1b of the face portion 1), the bottom surface of the groove 2a (i.e., the upper surface of the sole portion 2), and the rear side surface of the groove 2a (i.e., the front surface of the rear wall portion 7). In the golf club head 10, the rib 8 is connected to the bottom surface and the side surface of the groove 2a, so that the vibration of the rib 8 is easily suppressed. As a result, the hitting feel can be easily and reliably improved.
The height (length in the vertical direction with respect to the back surface 1b of the face portion 1) of the bead 8 in the oblong region R1 is preferably 5mm or more. That is, the minimum height of the bead 8 in the oblong region R1 is preferably 5 mm. If the height does not satisfy the lower limit, the rib 8 is likely to vibrate at the moment of impact of the impact, and the feel of impact of the golf club head 10 may not be sufficiently improved. The upper limit of the height of the bead 8 in the oblong region R1 is not particularly limited, but is preferably 10mm, and more preferably 7mm, from the viewpoint of suppressing an increase in the weight of the bead 8.
The maximum height (maximum length in the vertical direction with respect to the back surface 1b of the face portion 1) of the bead 8 in the region connected to the groove 2a is preferably 8mm or more. If the maximum height does not satisfy the lower limit, the rib 8 is likely to vibrate at the moment of impact of the impact, and the feel of impact of the golf club head 10 may not be sufficiently improved. The upper limit of the maximum height of the bead 8 in the region connected to the groove 2a is not particularly limited, but is preferably 12mm, and more preferably 10mm, from the viewpoint of suppressing an increase in the weight of the bead 8.
As shown in fig. 4, the height of the rib 8 may be increased from the upper end thereof toward the side connected to the groove 2a (the side having the largest height). According to this configuration, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of vibration of the rib 8 at the time of a momentary impact of a hit ball, and to reduce the weight of the rib 8 to suppress an increase in the weight of the golf club head 10.

In the golf club head 10, the rib 8 is selectively provided on the back surface 1b of the portion of the face portion 1 that is likely to vibrate, so that the hitting feeling can be improved.

< Golf club head >
The golf club head 20 of fig. 7 includes a face portion 1 and a sole portion 2 extending rearward from a lower edge of the face portion 1. The golf club head 20 includes a rib 18 connected to the sole portion 2 and disposed on the rear surface 1b of the face portion 1.
The golf club head 20 may have the same structure as the golf club head 10 of fig. 1, except that the arrangement of the ribs 18 is different. Therefore, only the arrangement of the ribs 18 will be described below.

The rib 18 extends to an elongated circular region R11 surrounded by a first circle C11, a second circle C2, and two line segments L11 and L12, the first circle C11 has a radius of 10mm and is centered on a centroid G11 of the rear surface 1b of the face portion 1, the second circle C2 has a radius of 10mm and is centered on a projection point G2' of the center of gravity of the golf club head 20 onto the rear surface 1b of the face portion 1, and the two line segments L11 and L12 are parallel to each other and are circumscribed with the first circle C11 and the second circle C2. The first circle C11 is an imaginary circle drawn on the back surface 1b of the face portion 1 with the centroid G11 as the center, and the second circle C2 is an imaginary circle drawn on the back surface 1b of the face portion 1 with the projected point G2' as the center. That is, the first circle C11 of the golf club head 20 is centered on the centroid G11 of the rear surface 1b of the face portion 1, with respect to the first circle C1 of the golf club head 10 of fig. 1 centered on the projection point G1' that projects the centroid G1 of the front surface 1a of the face portion 1 onto the rear surface 1 b.
In the golf club head 20, the rib 18 is selectively provided in a portion of the face portion 1 which is likely to vibrate. To explain in more detail, in the golf club head 20, a sole portion 2, a crown portion 3, a toe portion 4, and a heel portion 5 are provided in a frame shape on the peripheral edge of the back surface 1b of the face portion 1. In other words, the peripheral edge portion of the rear surface side of the face portion 1 is fixed by the sole portion 2, the crown portion 3, the toe portion 4, and the heel portion 5. Therefore, the centroid G11 of the back surface 1b of the face portion 1 can be the portion of the face portion 1 that vibrates most easily. Therefore, the oblong region R11 constituted by the first circle C11, the second circle C2, and the region sandwiched by the two circles C11 and C2 corresponds to the region of the golf club head 20 where the face portion 1 is likely to vibrate. Therefore, the rib 18 extends from the sole portion 2 into the oblong region R11, and therefore, the rib 18 can effectively suppress vibration of the sole portion 1, and increase in the overall weight of the golf club head 20 can be suppressed, and the feel of hitting the ball can be improved.
The specific configuration of the rib 18 may be the same as the rib 8 of fig. 1, except that the center of the first circle C11 is different from the golf club head 10 of fig. 1. For example, the position of the upper end portion of the bead 18 with respect to the oblong region R11, the inclination direction of the bead 18, the coupling position of the bead 18 and the stem bottom portion 2, the height of the bead 18, and the like may be the same as those of the bead 8 in fig. 1.

In the golf club head 20, as in the golf club head 10 of fig. 1, the rib 18 is selectively provided on the back surface 1b of the portion of the face portion 1 that is likely to vibrate, so that the hitting feeling can be improved.

The above embodiments do not limit the structure of the present invention. Therefore, it should be understood that the above-described embodiments may be omitted, replaced, or added with components of each part of the above-described embodiments based on the description of the present specification and the common technical knowledge, and all of them fall within the scope of the present invention.
For example, if the bead extends to the oval region, the minimum distance between the center of the first circle and the bead may be larger than the minimum distance between the center of the second circle and the bead.
The position of the rib connected to the sole portion may be set based on the specific structure of the golf club head. For example, the rib may be connected to the pole bottom at a heel-side position. The rib may be configured not to be inclined from the toe side to the heel side from the sole portion toward the oblong region.
The specific structure of the stem bottom portion is not limited to the structure described in the above embodiment. For example, the sole portion may not have a groove extending in the toe-heel direction. In addition, even when the bottom portion of the stem has a groove, the groove may be formed at a position away from the back surface of the stem surface portion, for example.
A reinforcing member, a cushioning member, or the like other than the rib may be provided on the rear surface of the face portion. However, from the viewpoint of remarkably exerting the effect of improving the hitting feeling, it is preferable that no reinforcing member other than the rib is disposed on the rear surface of the face portion. Preferably, a cushioning member other than the rib is not disposed on the rear surface of the face portion.
Industrial applicability
As described above, the iron type golf club head according to the first aspect of the present invention is suitable for improving the hitting feeling.

Claims (10)

1. An iron type golf club head comprising a face portion and a sole portion extending rearward from a lower edge of the face portion,
a reinforcing rib connected to the rod bottom and disposed on the back surface of the rod surface portion,
the reinforcing rib extends from the bottom of the golf club to a long circular area surrounded by a first circle, a second circle and two line segments, the radius of the first circle is 10mm, the center of the first circle is the center of the centroid of the back surface of the face portion or the projection point of the centroid of the front surface of the face portion on the back surface, the radius of the second circle is 10mm, the center of the second circle is the projection point of the center of gravity of the golf club head on the back surface, and the two line segments are parallel to each other and are circumscribed with the first circle and the second circle.

7. The iron-type golf club head according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein,
the rib is inclined from the toe side to the heel side from the sole toward the oblong region.
8. The iron-type golf club head according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein,
the rib is connected to the sole at a toe side position.
9. The iron-type golf club head according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein,
the height of the reinforcing ribs in the oblong area is 5mm or more.
10. The iron-type golf club head according to any one of claims 1 to 9, wherein,
the rod bottom portion has a groove extending in the toe-heel direction,
the reinforcing ribs are connected to the bottom and side surfaces of the groove.
