Abstract
The present invention discloses a preservative composition comprising MBIT and OPP, comprising: 2-methyl-1, 2-benzisothiazol-3-one, o-phenylphenol and/or a sodium salt thereof, and a weight ratio of the 2-methyl-1, 2-benzisothiazol-3-one to p-o-phenylphenol and/or a sodium salt thereof is 1:0.01 to 1: 100. The invention also discloses application of the preservative composition containing MBIT and OPP. The two preservative compositions of the invention require lower addition than one of the components used alone, which is more beneficial to controlling the cost of the sterilizing preservative in the product, and simultaneously, the product is more environment-friendly and has better market application prospect.

Technical Field
The invention belongs to the technical field of sterilization preservatives, and particularly relates to a composition containing 2-methyl-1, 2-benzisothiazole-3-ketone (MBIT) and o-phenylphenol (OPP) and application thereof.
Background
Methyl-1, 2-benzisothiazol-3-one (MBIT) is commonly used in antimicrobial formulations, primarily as an in-can storage preservative for products such as mud ash, adhesives, latex emulsions, tackifiers, mineral slurries, pigment dispersions, household products, and other aqueous products. And can also be used as a metal cutting fluid preservative for preventing the growth of microorganisms (bacteria and fungi).
The o-phenylphenol belongs to a deoxyribonuclease inhibitor and has broad-spectrum bactericidal and mildew-proof capabilities. Three bacterial suspensions, namely Escherichia coli (ATCC-8739), staphylococcus aureus (ATCC-6538) and pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC-9027), are mixed in equal amount to form a bacterial test group, and Aspergillus niger (ATCC-16404) spore suspension and Candida albicans (ATCC-10231) bacterial suspension are mixed in equal amount to form a fungal test group. Bacteria concentration of about 108cfu/ml, fungal concentration about 107cfu/ml. 1. A preservative composition comprising MBIT and OPP comprising: 2-methyl-1, 2-benzisothiazol-3-one, o-phenylphenol and/or a sodium salt thereof.
2. Preservative composition according to claim 1, comprising MBIT and OPP, characterized in that the weight ratio of 2-methyl-1, 2-benzisothiazol-3-one to p-phenylphenol and/or the sodium salt thereof is 1:0.01 to 1: 100.
3. The preservative composition comprising MBIT and OPP according to claim 2, wherein the weight ratio of 2-methyl-1, 2-benzisothiazol-3-one to p-phenylphenol and/or a sodium salt thereof is 1 (10 to 20).
