The outer layer sheet 12 is the outermost layer of the outer body 11, forms the non-skin-facing surface of the outer body 11, and forms the outer surface of the diaper 1. The inner layer sheet 13 is the innermost layer of the outer body 11, and forms the skin-facing surface of the outer body 11. The absorbent body 2 is bonded to the skin-facing surface of the inner sheet 13.
The outer sheet 12 and the inner sheet 13 may be nonwoven fabrics, resin films, and the like produced by various methods, and examples of nonwoven fabrics include spunbond nonwoven fabrics, hot air nonwoven fabrics, and needled nonwoven fabrics. The outer layer sheet 12 and the inner layer sheet 13 may have a single-layer structure, or may have a laminated structure in which 2 or more sheets are laminated. The outer layer sheet 12 and the inner layer sheet 13 may be stretchable sheets having stretchability in the lateral direction Y, or may be non-stretchable sheets having no stretchability.
In the present embodiment, leg gathers are formed in the leg edge LS forming the opening edge of each of the pair of leg openings LH, LH. The leg gathers include an outer body 11 and leg gather forming elastic members 15 fixed to the outer body 11 and having portions extending along leg edge portions LS. The leg gathers are produced by fixing the elastic member 15 in an elongated state between the outer sheet 12 and the inner sheet 13 constituting the outer body 11, and then releasing the elastic member 15 from the elongated state. In the natural state or the wearing state of the diaper 1, a plurality of pleats (folds) extending in a direction intersecting the contraction direction of the elastic member 15 are formed in a portion of the outer body 11 constituting the opening edge portion of the leg opening portion LH by contraction of the elastic member 15, whereby the above-mentioned leg folds are formed in a substantially continuous loop shape over the entire circumference of the opening edge portion of the leg opening portion LH.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3, the side wing portion 10 of each of the abdominal portion a and the back portion C has a stretchable region G having stretchability in the lateral direction Y. The stretchable region G includes a sheet forming the side wing portion 10 and a plurality of elastic members 14 arranged on the sheet so as to be stretchable in the lateral direction Y. The plurality of elastic members 14 extend in the lateral direction Y and are arranged at intervals in the longitudinal direction X. In the present embodiment, the elastic member 14 is located in the waist portion (a portion located at the same position as the side seal S in the longitudinal direction X), and can be referred to as a waist elastic member.
In the present embodiment, the "sheets forming the side flap portion 10" described above are the outer layer sheet 12 and the inner layer sheet 13. The stretchable region G is produced by fixing the elastic member 14 between the outer layer sheet 12 and the inner layer sheet 13 in a state of being stretched in the lateral direction Y, and then releasing the elastic member 14 from the stretched state. In the wearing state of the diaper 1, a plurality of pleats extending in a direction intersecting the elastic member 14 (longitudinal direction X) are formed on the surface of the stretchable region G by contraction of the elastic member 14.
In the present embodiment, as shown in fig. 2 and 3, the portions of the front side portion a and the back side portion C that are located at the same position as the side seal S in the longitudinal direction X and that do not overlap the absorbent body 2 (absorber 23) in a plan view are the whole of the stretchable region G. The elastic member 14 disposed in the portion overlapping the absorbent main body 2 in a plan view of the diaper 1 is cut off or the like and is treated so as not to exhibit elastic stretchability, and therefore this portion does not have stretchability in the lateral direction Y.
In the present embodiment, the stretchable region G is defined by the longitudinal end 2E of the absorbent main body 2 and the virtual extension thereof, and includes an upper stretchable region G1 located on the waist opening WH side and a lower stretchable region G2 located on the crotch B side.
The upper stretchable region G1 includes an opening peripheral edge portion of the waist opening WH, and is disposed around the waist of the wearer (waist portion) when the diaper 1 is worn. In the developed and elongated state of the diaper 1 shown in fig. 2 and 3, the length of the longitudinal direction X of the upper stretchable region G1 is preferably 10% or more, more preferably 20% or more, and preferably 70% or less, more preferably 50% or less with respect to the length of the longitudinal direction X of the side seal S.
The lower stretchable region G2 is provided in a pair on both sides of the lateral direction Y with the absorbent body 2 interposed therebetween between the longitudinal end 2E of the absorbent body 2 and its virtual extension line and the lower end Sb of the side seal S (the end portion relatively close to the longitudinal center line CLx of the both ends of the longitudinal direction X of the side seal S).
The absorbent article of the present invention has a disposal tape that is fixed to the outer surface of the absorbent article and has stretchability. The disposal tape of the present invention is not particularly limited in its structure and arrangement position, provided that it is based on the description of the winding packing index and the swelling compactness index described later. For example, the disposal tape of the present invention may be provided so as to be stretchable in the longitudinal direction from the fixing portion to the outer surface of the absorbent article, or may be provided so as to be stretchable in the transverse direction. In the present embodiment, the former is employed as described later. In the latter case, the diaper 1 is typically taken as an example, and the disposal tape 4 is fixed to the outer surface of the stretchable region G (the upper stretchable region G1 and/or the lower stretchable region G2) of at least one of the pair of side flaps 10, 10 of the back portion C.
In the present embodiment, as shown in fig. 1 to 3, a disposal tape 4 is provided on the outer surface of the back side portion C of the diaper 1 (the non-skin-facing surface of the outer sheet 12). The disposal tape 4 is disposed 1 at the center of the back side portion C in the lateral direction Y, and overlaps the absorber 23 (absorbent body 2) in plan view, and does not overlap the stretch region G.
The disposal tape 4 is formed in a tape shape that is long in one direction, and is provided on the outer surface of the diaper 1 so that the longitudinal direction thereof coincides with the longitudinal direction X when the disposal tape 4 is used. That is, the disposal tape 4 is provided so as to be extendable in the longitudinal direction X from a fixed portion with the outer surface of the diaper 1.
Fig. 5 shows a cross-sectional configuration of the disposal tape 4 in the thickness direction in the longitudinal direction X in an unused state. The disposal tape 4 is folded on the outer surface (non-skin-facing surface of the outer sheet 12) of the diaper 1 when not in use.
In the present embodiment, the disposal tape 4 includes a fixing portion 5 fixed to the outer surface of the diaper 1 and a free portion 6 extendable outward in the longitudinal direction X (direction indicated by reference symbol X1 in fig. 5) from the fixing portion 5, and the free portion 6 includes a fastening portion 7 capable of being fastened to the outer surface of the diaper 1 and a stretchable portion 8 located between the fixing portion 5 and the fastening portion 7.
The fastening portion 7 forms a distal end portion of the disposal tape 4, and can be fastened to an arbitrary position on the outer surface of the diaper 1, and is a portion fastened to the outer surface of the diaper 1 when the disposal tape 4 is used to maintain the disposal form of the diaper 1. The fastening portion 7 has a fastening structure for fastening to the outer surface of the diaper 1, and the fastening structure is not particularly limited, and an adhesive, a hook member, or the like can be appropriately used as a fastening means in the art.
The stretchable portion 8 is a portion that can be easily stretched with a relatively weak stretching force when the stretching force is applied to the disposal tape 4, and increases the length of the disposal tape 4. The expansion and contraction section 8 can expand and contract not only in the longitudinal direction X but also in the longitudinal direction X. The term "stretchable" as used herein means that the waste tape 4 is stretched when a tensile force is applied thereto, and is contracted when the tensile force is released.
The disposal tape 4 in the folded state is in a three-folded state in which the fixing portion 5, the stretchable portion 8, and the fastening portion 7 are laminated in this order on the outer surface of the diaper 1. In fig. 5, for convenience of explanation, it is described that there is a gap between the fixing portion 5 and the telescopic portion 8 and between the telescopic portion 8 and the fixed portion 7, but the actual disposal tape is not limited to having such a gap.
In the present embodiment, the fixing portion 5 of the disposal tape 4 has a fixing portion sheet 50. The fixing portion sheet 50 has a first surface 50a and a second surface 50b. In the disposal tape 4 in the folded state, the fixing portion sheet 50 has a first surface 50a facing the stretchable portion 8 and a second surface 50b facing the outer surface of the diaper 1, except for a folded portion 50' described later. The fixing portion 5 further includes a fixing portion adhesive portion 51. The fixing portion adhesive portion 51 is provided on the second surface 50b of the fixing portion sheet 50. The fixing portion 5 is fixed to the outer surface of the back side portion C of the diaper 1 by the fixing portion adhesive portion 51. The disposal tape 4 is fixed to the outer surface of the back side portion C of the diaper 1 via the fixing portion adhesive portion 51 so as not to be detachable. As a method of fixing the disposal tape 4 to the outer surface of the diaper 1, a known method such as an adhesive such as a hot-melt adhesive or welding can be used.
In the present embodiment, the stretchable portion 8 of the disposal tape 4 has a stretchable portion sheet 80. The length of the stretchable portion sheet 80 in the longitudinal direction (length of the longitudinal direction X) may be the same as or different from the length of the fixed portion sheet 50 in the longitudinal direction (length of the longitudinal direction X). The width (length in the lateral direction Y) of the stretchable portion sheet 80 may be the same as or different from the width (length in the lateral direction Y) of the fixed portion sheet 50. The stretchable portion sheet 80 has a first surface 80a and a second surface 80b. In the disposal tape 4 in the folded state, the stretchable portion sheet 80 has a first surface 80a facing the fixed portion 7 and a second surface 80b facing the fixed portion 5, except for a folded portion 80' described later. The expansion and contraction part 8 has an expansion and contraction part adhesive part 81. The expansion and contraction section adhesive section 81 is provided on the second surface 80b of the expansion and contraction section sheet 80. The stretchable portion adhesive portion 81 releasably joins the stretchable portion 8 and the fixed portion 5 of the disposal tape 4 in a folded state. Therefore, the expansion-section adhesive portion 81 is preferably composed of an adhesive having low adhesion.
The fixing portion sheet 50 of the fixing portion 5 has a folded portion 50' of which one end in the longitudinal direction (the outer end in the longitudinal direction X) is folded back toward the stretchable portion 8. The folded portion 50' is joined to one end (outer end in the longitudinal direction X) of the stretchable portion sheet 80 of the stretchable portion 8 on the second surface 80b side. Thus, the fixing portion 5 and the telescopic portion 8 are provided directly connected to each other. As a method of connecting the fixing portion 5 and the stretchable portion 8, a known method such as an adhesive such as a hot-melt adhesive or welding can be used.
In the present embodiment, the fastening portion 7 of the disposal tape 4 has a fastening portion sheet 70. The length of the fixing portion sheet 70 in the longitudinal direction (length of the longitudinal direction X) may be the same as or different from the length of the fixing portion sheet 50 or the extension portion sheet 80 in the longitudinal direction (length of the longitudinal direction X). The width (length in the lateral direction Y) of the fixing portion sheet 70 may be the same as or different from the width (length in the lateral direction Y) of the fixing portion sheet 50 or the stretchable portion sheet 80. The fastening portion sheet 70 has a first surface 70a and a second surface 70b. In the disposal tape 4 in the folded state, the second surface 70b of the fixing portion sheet 70 faces the stretchable portion 8. The fixing portion 7 has a fixing portion adhesive portion 71. The fixing portion adhesive portion 71 is provided on the second surface 70b of the fixing portion sheet 70. The fixing portion adhesive portion 71 joins the fixing portion 7 of the disposal tape 4 in a folded state and the stretchable portion 8 in a releasable manner, and fixes the fixing portion 7 to an appropriate portion of the outer surface of the diaper 1. The degree of adhesiveness of the fixing portion adhesive portion 71 is preferably determined from this point of view.
One end (inner end in the longitudinal direction X) of the stretchable portion sheet 80 in the stretchable portion 8 is folded back toward the fixed portion 7 to form a folded portion 80'. The folded portion 80' is joined to one end (inner end in the longitudinal direction X) of the fixing portion sheet 70 of the fixing portion 7 on the second surface 70b side. Thereby, the expansion and contraction part 8 is provided directly connected to the fixed part 7. As a method of providing the stretchable portion 8 and the fixed portion 7 in a connected state, a known method such as an adhesive such as a hot-melt adhesive or welding can be used. Further, a pinching piece 72 is connected to the other end of the fixing portion piece 70 of the fixing portion 7, and is connected to the second surface 70b side. The holding piece 72 is a sheet separate from the fixing portion sheet 70.
Since the stretchable portion 8 can be stretched, an appropriate material may be selected as the stretchable portion sheet 80 constituting the stretchable portion 8. Specifically, as a constituent material of the stretchable portion sheet 80, a stretchable film can be used, for example. Examples of such films include multilayer films such as a single-layer film and a coextruded film. Further, as a material constituting the stretchable film, for example, polyolefin such as linear low density polyethylene is preferably used. In addition, at least 1 material selected from polyvinyl chloride, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and polyvinyl alcohol is also preferably used. Furthermore, it is also advantageous to use a material having a permanent set of at least 50%, more preferably at least 70%.
The fixing portion sheet 50 constituting the fixing portion 5 may be made of the same material as that of the stretchable portion sheet 80, or may be made of any material that cannot be stretched, that is, cannot be plastically deformed. For example, a resin sheet (plastic sheet, film, etc.), a nonwoven fabric, or a known sheet used in the prior art of woven fabric may be used without particular limitation. Even if the constituent material of the fixing portion sheet 50 is stretchable, the stretchability is not exhibited in the portion fixed to the non-skin-facing surface of the diaper 1.
As the stretchable portion adhesive portion 81 for releasably joining the stretchable portion 8 and the fixed portion 5 and the fixed portion adhesive portion 71 for releasably joining the fixed portion 7 and the stretchable portion 8, for example, a rubber-based adhesive and an acrylic-based adhesive are generally used, and a rubber-based adhesive is preferably used. Examples of the rubber-based adhesive include synthetic rubbers such as styrene-butadiene block copolymers and hydrogenated styrene-butadiene block copolymers, and blends of these synthetic rubbers and resins. In addition, an adhesive composed of a heat seal, a hot melt adhesive, a melt blown or fibrous adhesive, an adhesive, or the like may be used.
The expansion and contraction portion adhesive portion 81 and the fixing portion adhesive portion 71 may be formed on the entire surface of the second surface 80b of the expansion and contraction portion sheet 80. The adhesive portions 81 and 71 may be formed at intervals. In this case, the adhesive portions 81 and 71 can be formed at intervals by applying the adhesive at intervals.
The disposal tape 4 may be manufactured as follows: the fixing portion sheet 50 is partially laminated on one end portion in the longitudinal direction of the expansion portion sheet 80, the fixing portion sheet 70 is partially laminated on the other end portion in the longitudinal direction of the expansion portion sheet 80, and the laminated portions are joined and integrated by a known method such as an adhesive.
As described above, the disposal tape 4 including the 3 portions of the fixing portion 5, the stretchable portion 8, and the fixing portion 7 is folded in the longitudinal direction (longitudinal direction X) in a cross-sectional view along the thickness direction in the longitudinal direction X shown in fig. 5, and is folded in a zigzag shape in the present embodiment. The disposal tape 4 is provided on the outer surface of the central portion of the lateral direction Y of the portion located at the same position as the side seal S in the longitudinal direction X of the back side portion C so that the front end of the uppermost fastening portion 7 (the pinching piece 72) of the disposal tape 4 in the folded state faces the outside in the longitudinal direction X (the direction indicated by the symbol X1 in fig. 5), that is, the opposite side to the center of the longitudinal direction X (the longitudinal center line CLx) of the diaper 1, and the free portion 6 including the stretchable portion 8 and the fastening portion 7 can be extended outward in the longitudinal direction X from the fixed portion 5 by grasping the front end of the fastening portion 7 with fingers or the like and stretching it outward in the longitudinal direction X.
The stretchable portion 8 is stretchable in the longitudinal direction (longitudinal direction X) of the disposal tape 4 in the unfolded state of the folded state. More specifically, the portion of the stretchable portion sheet 80 other than the both end portions joined to the fixing portion sheet 50 or the fixing portion sheet 70 can be elongated in the longitudinal direction. The developed state of the folded state refers to a state in which the portions of the disposal tape 4 that are in contact with each other in the folded state of the disposal tape 4 are peeled off from each other, and the disposal tape 4 is developed into a straight line. For example, the developed state of the three-folded state shown in fig. 5 is a state in which the stretchable portion 8 of the disposal tape 4 is peeled off from the fixed portion 5, and the stretchable portion 8 is peeled off from the fixed portion 7, and the disposal tape 4 in the three-folded state is developed in a straight line. In the developed state, the disposal tape 4 can be stretched by a manual force, and at this time, the stretchable portion 8 can be stretched.
Typically, as shown in fig. 6, the diaper 1 is rolled up in the longitudinal direction X from the abdomen side portion a side toward the back side portion C side (the arrangement side of the disposal tape 4) with the inner surface (the skin-facing surface, the arrangement surface of the absorbent main body 2) thereof being the inner side, by tearing the side seal portion S open (the state where the front body portion F and the back body portion R do not overlap), whereby the diaper 1 is rolled up in a rolled state, and the disposal tape 4 is rolled up on the diaper 1 in the rolled state in the rolling direction (longitudinal direction X) of the diaper 1, thereby forming the disposal form of the diaper 1. At this time, the side flap 10 may be folded toward the absorbent body 2 with the inner surface of the diaper 1 as the inner side before the diaper 1 is rolled up.
As another example of the method of rolling up the diaper 1, there is a method of rolling up the diaper 1 in which the front body F and the rear body R are overlapped with the placement surface of the absorbent body 2 inside, from the crotch portion B to the waist opening WH side (the placement side of the disposal tape 4) with the front body F inside. In this case, the side flap 10 may be folded toward the absorbent body 2 with the abdomen-side portion a as the inner side before the diaper 1 is rolled up.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 6, the disposal tape 4 is wound around the central portion in the transverse direction Y (direction orthogonal to the winding direction of the diaper 1) of the diaper 1 in the assembled state, and the fixing portion 7 of the disposal tape 4 is fixed to the fixing portion 5 of the disposal tape 4 (that is, the disposal tape 4 is wound around the diaper 1 in the assembled state wound in the longitudinal direction X in one turn in the winding direction), but in the present invention, the winding position of the disposal tape 4 and the fixing position of the fixing portion 7 are not particularly limited, and any position may be selected.
The absorbent article series of the present invention includes a plurality of absorbent articles having different sizes, and the plurality of absorbent articles are divided into a plurality of size groups corresponding to the number of kinds of the sizes thereof.
For example, in the case where the absorbent article series of the present invention includes 3 kinds of disposable diapers of a plurality of S-size, M-size, and L-size in order of size from small to large, the plurality of disposable diapers are divided into a plurality of size groups corresponding to 3 kinds of the sizes thereof, that is, 3 size groups of S-size group, M-size group, and L-size group.
In the present invention, the "size of the absorbent article" refers to the entire length in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article saturated with physiological saline under non-stress in an expanded and non-elongated state (state in which no external force is applied). The term "dimensional difference" as used herein means that the dimensions (the overall length in the machine direction) defined in this way are different from one another in the comparative absorbent articles. For example, in the case of commercially available diapers for infants, diapers having different sizes according to the age of the infant are generally prepared. In general, large diapers are used for infants with a high month-old age, and the larger the diaper is, the larger the saturated absorption capacity of physiological saline is. Therefore, in general, the larger the diaper for advanced months, the larger the "size of the absorbent article" described above.
The "absorbent article saturated with physiological saline" is obtained by immersing an absorbent article in a developed state, or an article in which the side seal S is peeled off and developed in the case of the diaper 1, in the physiological saline at an ambient temperature of 23±2 ℃ and a relative humidity of 50±5%.
The term "developed and non-extended state" refers to a state in which an absorbent article saturated with physiological saline is developed so that the front body and the rear body do not overlap, and the elastic members of the respective parts of the absorbent article are in a non-extended state (natural state). In the case of the diaper 1, the side seal S is peeled off to allow the elastic members of each portion to be stretched in a flat state without being stretched, and the state is stretched and not stretched.
In the present embodiment, as shown in fig. 7, each of the plurality of size components includes a package structure 17 of disposable diapers (absorbent articles), and the package structure 17 includes a plurality of diapers 1 and a package container 16 for storing the plurality of diapers 1 therein. The plurality of size groups may be an aggregate of the plurality of packaging structures 17. The diapers 1 in the packaging container 16 are identical to each other, not only in terms of composition or structure, but also in terms of size.
The plurality of diapers 1 are respectively stored in the package container 16 in a folded state. In the present embodiment, the plurality of diapers 1 inside the packaging container 16 are folded in half in the longitudinal direction X with the side portions a inside. The plurality of diapers 1 in the folded state are stacked in one direction to form a stack, and the stack is housed in the package container 16 in a state where a plurality of diapers are stacked in the height direction of the package structure 17 and integrally compressed.
The packaging container 16 is not particularly limited as long as it can house a plurality of diapers 1. In the present embodiment, the packaging container 16 is a packaging bag made of a flexible sheet material. The packaging container 16 can be printed with the above-described "name common to a plurality of types of absorbent articles constituting the absorbent article series", that is, a so-called brand name.
The absorbent article series of the present invention includes the following first invention and second invention.
First invention: regarding the swelling compactness index of an absorbent article measured by the following method, the following size relationship holds between at least a part of the size groups among the plurality of size groups: "size group of relatively small size > size group of relatively large size".
Second invention: regarding the wrapping packing index of the absorbent article measured by the following method, the following size relationship holds between at least a part of the plurality of size groups: "size group of relatively small size > size group of relatively large size".
The swelling compactness index used in the first invention is an index of the shrinkage of the wound portion of the disposal tape 4 in the diaper 1 in the case where the diaper 1 in which the excrement is saturated and absorbed into a swollen state is wound up in the longitudinal direction X to be in a state of being wound up in a lump, and the disposal tape 4 which is elongated to 50% of the elongation at break is wound up in the winding up direction of the diaper 1 on the outer surface of the diaper 1 in the state of being wound up. The larger the value of the swelling compactness index, the more easily the outer diameter of the absorbent article in the waste form formed by rolling up in the longitudinal direction is smaller, and the waste form of the absorbent article having a large swelling compactness index becomes more compact.
The wrapping and packaging index used in the second invention is an index of how much the waste form of the diaper 1 after use is to be a waste form that is soft and leak-proof and sanitary, with respect to the ratio of the outer circumferential length C1 (see fig. 8 (a)) in the wrapping direction of the diaper 1 when the diaper 1 saturated with and absorbing excrement is wrapped in the longitudinal direction X to be a rolled state, which is the full length T50 at 50% of the breaking extension of the waste belt 4. The larger the number of the winding packing index, the longer the length of the waste tape 4 in the extension direction is relative to the outer circumferential length C1 of the diaper 1 in the winding direction, and therefore, the fastening action of the waste tape 4 to the diaper 1 is easily enhanced. Therefore, the absorbent article having a large wrapping and packing index can prevent leakage of feces, and can provide a sanitary disposal shape.
Measurement method of swelling compact index
In an absorbent article to be measured (for example, diaper 1), physiological saline is saturated and absorbed in an environment having an atmospheric temperature of 23±2 ℃ and a relative humidity of 50±5%, and then the inner surface of the absorbent article in an unfolded state is rolled up in the longitudinal direction with the inner side, and the outer circumferential length C1 in the rolling-up direction is measured (see fig. 8 (a)) (step 1).
Further, a disposal tape (for example, the disposal tape 4 included in the diaper 1) fixed to the outer surface of the rolled up absorbent article is stretched to 50% of the elongation at break (that is, the entire length in the stretching direction is stretched so as to be T50), and is wound around the outer surface of the absorbent article in the rolling direction of the absorbent article, and after the tape is left to stand for 20 minutes in this state, the outer peripheral length C2 of the portion of the absorbent article around which the disposal tape is wound is measured (see fig. 8 b)) (step 2).
Then, the swelling compactness index of the absorbent article to be measured was calculated by the following formula.
Swelling compactibility index=1- (C2/C1)
In the above step 1, the saturated absorption treatment of the physiological saline may be performed by immersing the absorbent article in the developed state in the physiological saline stored in the container at an atmospheric temperature of 23±2 ℃ and a relative humidity of 50±5% for 30 minutes in a state where the inner surface (skin-facing surface) side of the absorbent article is directed downward, then taking out the absorbent article from the physiological saline, and leaving the absorbent article in a suspended state for 30 minutes in an environment of normal temperature and normal pressure. The absorbent article placed in a suspended state for 30 minutes can be regarded as saturated absorbent of physiological saline. Since the diaper 1 is a pants-type disposable diaper, the side seal S is peeled off when the diaper is put into an unfolded state. When the absorbent article taken out of the physiological saline is suspended, the absorbent article is suspended in a state of being folded in half in the longitudinal direction.

In the present embodiment, as described above, since the disposal tape 4 is provided so as to be extendable in the longitudinal direction X with the fixing portion 5 of the outer surface of the diaper 1 as a starting point, the following series of disposal processes can be smoothly performed: the diaper 1 is rolled up in the longitudinal direction X to be in a rolled state, the disposal tape 4 is stretched and rolled up in the rolling direction of the rolled diaper 1 (see fig. 6), and the disposal form of the diaper 1 formed in the disposal process is combined with the effect that the diaper 1 is easily bulged to the fixing side of the disposal tape 4 when taken out from the packaging container 16 and placed under non-stress, and the like, so that the structure can be made compact.
In the present embodiment, as described above, the disposal tape 4 is folded on the outer surface of the diaper 1 when not in use, but referring to fig. 10, the total length L2 of the disposal tape 4 in the longitudinal direction X (the total length of the disposal tape 4 in the longitudinal direction in the unfolded and non-extended state) when the disposal tape 4 is unfolded in the longitudinal direction X is preferably 4 or less, more preferably 3 or less, with respect to the total length L1 of the diaper 1 in the longitudinal direction X under no stress, without expanding and contracting the disposal tape 4. By establishing the size relationship of "L2/L1 is equal to or less than 0.4", the shrinkage force of the disposal tape 4 when the disposal tape 4 is stretched and wound in the winding direction of the diaper 1 can be made relatively strong with respect to the diaper 1 wound up and rolled up in the longitudinal direction X, and therefore, the disposal form of the diaper 1 can be made more compact.
In the present embodiment, as shown in fig. 2 and 3, the absorber 23 has a groove portion 26 extending in the longitudinal direction X. As shown in fig. 4, the groove 26 is formed in the absorbent core 24 of the absorber 23, and has an opening in the skin-facing surface of the absorber 23 (absorbent core 24).
In the present embodiment, the groove 26 has a rectangular shape in plan view, and 1 groove is formed in the crotch portion B at the center portion in the lateral direction Y of the absorber 23 (absorbent core 24). The shape, number, and arrangement position of the grooves 26 in plan view are not particularly limited, and the grooves 26 may be formed so as to be curved on the premise of extending in the longitudinal direction X.
In the present embodiment, in the groove 26, the skin-side core-wrap 25 covering the skin-facing surface of the absorbent core 24 and the non-skin-side core-wrap 25 covering the non-skin-facing surface of the absorbent core 24 are joined by joining means such as an adhesive or welding.
The groove 26 is a space where no material (water-absorbent material such as wood pulp or water-absorbent polymer) forming the absorbent core 24 is present. The term "no formation material" as used herein includes not only a mode in which no formation material is present at all but also a mode in which a very small amount of formation material is present to the extent that it can be recognized as a space portion. That is, the groove 26 may be a penetrating type penetrating the absorbent core 24 in the thickness direction, or a non-penetrating type not penetrating the absorbent core 24 in the thickness direction. The through-type groove 26 has openings on both the skin-facing surface and the non-skin-facing surface of the absorber 23 (absorbent core 24). The non-penetrating groove 26 may have an opening on the skin-facing surface of the absorber 23 (absorbent core 24), or may have an opening on the non-skin-facing surface.
The absorbent core 24 having the groove portions 26 can be manufactured by using a known fiber accumulating apparatus, similarly to the method for manufacturing the absorbent core of the absorbent article. Typically, the fiber accumulating apparatus includes a rotary drum having an accumulating concave portion on an outer peripheral surface thereof, and supplies a core forming material to the outer peripheral surface thereof in a scattered state while rotating the rotary drum, and the core forming material is accumulated in the accumulating concave portion by suction from a bottom surface of the accumulating concave portion, and a fiber accumulating in the accumulating concave portion is released from the accumulating concave portion by suction from a suction mechanism disposed opposite to the accumulating concave portion and transferred to the suction mechanism. In the fiber accumulating apparatus having such a configuration, by disposing the air impermeable member, or the like on a part of the air permeable bottom surface of the accumulation recess, a part of the bottom surface is made air impermeable or air impermeable, so that the core forming material is less likely to accumulate fibers in the air impermeable or air impermeable portion when the core forming material is accumulating fibers, and the amount of fibers accumulated in the air impermeable or air impermeable portion is smaller than that in other parts of the bottom surface. By this, the absorbent core 24 having the groove 26 can be obtained by manufacturing the absorbent core by a conventional method using the fiber accumulating apparatus having the rotary drum in which a part of the bottom surface of the concave portion for accumulation is the air-impermeable portion or the air-impermeable portion, and the portion corresponding to the air-impermeable portion or the air-impermeable portion becomes the groove 26.
Alternatively, after the absorbent core 24 having no groove portions 26 is manufactured according to a conventional method, a part or all of the core forming material of the groove portions 26 in the absorbent core 24, which forms the predetermined portions, is removed, thereby obtaining the absorbent core 24 having the groove portions 26.
The groove 26 is formed so as not to disappear even if the absorber 23 is saturated with the liquid. This can be achieved by setting the depth of the groove 26 to a depth of a certain level or more and/or setting the width (length in the lateral direction Y) of the groove 26 to a length of a certain level or more.
In the absorbent body 23, if the groove 26, which does not disappear even when the absorbent body 23 is saturated with liquid, extends in the longitudinal direction X, the formation position of the groove 26 in the diaper 1 in the rolled state becomes shorter than other portions when the diaper 1 after use, which has absorbed and retained excrement, is rolled up in the longitudinal direction X, and the formation position of the groove 26 becomes easier to be engaged with when the disposal tape 4 is unrolled and rolled up in the diaper 1 in the rolled state, and the rolling becomes easier. Further, since the disposal tape 4 is wound around a portion having a short outer circumference in the diaper 1 in a gathered state, the swelling compactness index and the winding packing index become large, and the disposal form becomes more compact.
From the viewpoint of further reliably exhibiting the above-described operational effects of the groove 26 (for example, the reduction in the size of the disposal form of the diaper 1), the groove 26 is preferably located on an imaginary straight line (in the illustrated embodiment, the lateral center line CLy) extending in the longitudinal direction X through the fixing portion (fixing portion 5) of the disposal tape 4 with the outer surface of the diaper 1, as shown in fig. 2 and 3.
In fig. 11, a cross section along the transverse direction Y of a waste form formed by winding up the diaper 1 in the longitudinal direction X and winding up the disposal tape 4 in the winding-up direction thereof is schematically shown. Referring to fig. 11, the ratio (W1/W0) of the length (width) W1 in the direction orthogonal to the extension direction in the 50% extension state of the breaking extension of the portion (extension portion 8) of the disposal tape 4 having stretchability in the longitudinal direction X to the length (width) W0 in the transverse direction Y of the groove portion 26 in the diaper 1 saturated with physiological saline is preferably 1.5 or less, more preferably 1.0 or less. By satisfying this condition, when the diaper 1 after use having absorbed and retained excrement is rolled up in the longitudinal direction X to be in a rolled state, and the disposal tape 4 is attached to the position where the groove portion 26 is formed in the diaper 1 in the rolled state, as described above, the disposal tape 4 is easily engaged with the groove portion 26. In particular, when W1/W0 is smaller than 1, as shown in fig. 11, the disposal tape 4 is easily held by the groove 26, and the engagement of the disposal tape 4 with the groove 26 becomes stronger, so that the disposal form of the diaper 1 becomes more compact.
The "diaper 1 (absorbent article) saturated with physiological saline" is obtained by the saturated absorption treatment of physiological saline in the step 1 of < measurement method of swelling compactness index >.
When the width W0 of the groove 26 varies in the depth direction of the groove 26 and is uneven, the width (length in the lateral direction Y) of the opening of the groove 26 is set to be the width W0. When the width W0 of the groove 26 varies unevenly in the longitudinal direction (longitudinal direction X) of the groove 26, the maximum width is set to be the width W0.
The width W1 of the disposal tape 4 is the width (length in the direction perpendicular to the stretching direction) at the time when the test piece (the stretchable portion 8 of the disposal tape 4) is stretched to 50% of the breaking elongation in the < stretching test >.
Fig. 12 shows a schematic structure of a diaper 1A as another embodiment of an absorbent article of the present invention. The diaper 1A will be mainly described in terms of a structure different from that of the diaper 1 described above, and the same reference numerals are given to the same structure, and the description thereof will be omitted. The description of the diaper 1 is appropriately applied to a structure not specifically described in the diaper 1A.
In the diaper 1A, as shown in fig. 12 (a), 2 groove portions 26 are formed in the portion of the absorber 23 (absorbent core 24) located in the crotch portion B. The 2 grooves 26, 26 are formed symmetrically with respect to the lateral center line CLy (see fig. 2) at a predetermined distance apart in the lateral direction Y. As shown in fig. 12 (b), when the diaper 1A is rolled up in the longitudinal direction X and the disposal tape 4 is wound up in the rolling direction to form a disposal form, the disposal tape 4 can be engaged with one of the 2 groove portions 26, 26. The diaper 1A can also have the same effect as the diaper 1. In particular, since the diaper 1A has the plurality of grooves 26, the engagement of the disposal tape 4 with the grooves 26 can be easily performed.
The present invention has been described above based on the embodiments, but the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments and can be appropriately modified.
For example, in the above embodiment, the disposal tape 4 is in the three-folded state when not in use, but the form of the disposal tape 4 when not in use is not particularly limited, and the disposal tape 4 may be in a two-folded state, for example, provided that the free portion 6 (the fixed portion 7 and the stretchable portion 8) can protrude outward in the lateral direction Y from the fixed portion 5. In the above embodiment, the outer body 11 extends from the abdomen portion a to the back portion C through the crotch portion B in the longitudinal direction X, but instead of this configuration, the outer body 11 may have a member constituting the abdomen portion a (front body portion) and a member constituting the back portion C (back body portion) separately, and the absorbent main body 2 is stretched and fixed to both members.

Examples 1 to 3 and comparative examples 1 to 3
Various pants-type disposable diapers having the same basic structure as the diaper 1 are manufactured in different sizes. The absorbent body of the manufactured diaper has a front sheet, an absorber, and a back sheet in this order from the skin of the wearer. As the front sheet, a sheet having a grammage of 25g/m was used 2 Hydrophilic hot air non-woven fabrics. As the back sheet, a sheet having a gram weight of 18g/m on the skin-facing side was used 2 Is composed of polyethylene resin film with gram weight of 17g/m on the non-skin-facing side 2 A laminate of a resin film comprising a hydrophobic spun-bonded nonwoven fabric and a nonwoven fabric. As the absorbent body, an absorbent body including an absorbent core in which water-absorbent polymer particles are supported on a fiber-assembled body of wood pulp and a core-spun sheet made of a nonwoven fabric covering the outer surface of the absorbent core is used. However, the absorber does not have the groove 26 as described above.
From among the produced various diapers, 2 kinds of absorbent articles having different sizes were selected, and absorbent article series of examples and comparative examples were produced. Each manufactured absorbent article series is divided into 2 size groups, a first group containing only diapers of relatively small size, and a second group containing only diapers of relatively large size. The "dimension" referred to herein is the entire length in the longitudinal direction of the diaper in the developed and unstretched state in which the diaper is saturated with and absorbs physiological saline, as described above.
The dimensions of the respective parts of the diapers in the respective absorbent article series are shown in table 1. In the column of "waste tape" in table 1, "length" is the total length of the waste tape in the longitudinal direction of the unused folded state (the longitudinal direction of the diaper in this example, comparative example), "width" is the length of the waste tape in the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the unused folded state (the transverse direction of the diaper in this example, comparative example), "developed length" is the total length of the waste tape in the developed and non-extended state, and "non-stretchable length" is the sum of the lengths of the portions other than the stretchable portion in the total length of the waste tape in the developed and non-extended state, and "non-stretchable portion length" in the non-extended state is the length of the stretchable portion in the total length of the waste tape in the developed and non-extended state. In the column of "absorbent article" in table 1, "pulp amount" is the total mass of pulp contained in the absorbent body, "water-absorbent polymer amount" is the total mass of water-absorbent polymer contained in the absorbent body, and "saturated absorption amount" is the difference in weight of the diaper before and after the saturated absorption treatment of the saline solution in step 1 of < measurement method of swelling compactness index > described above.
For each of examples and comparative examples, "compactness of waste form" and "sanitation of waste form" were evaluated by the following methods, and the results are shown in table 1.
Method for evaluating compactness of waste form
For all the absorbent articles (diapers) included in the absorbent article series to be evaluated, 10 panelists rolled up the diapers saturated with physiological saline in the longitudinal direction to form a group, and the disposal tape was wound in a state of being stretched to about 50% of the breaking elongation to form disposal diapers in the group. The diapers in the waste form formed in the same manner were observed for the diapers having different sizes, and were evaluated according to the following evaluation criteria. The results were the average of the evaluation points of 10 members, and are shown in table 1.
A: the diapers in the waste form are perceived as compact in all of the size groups included in the series, and the diapers in the waste form in the size groups having relatively small size and large swelling compact index or winding packing index are more compact than those in the size groups having relatively large size and small swelling compact index or winding packing index.
B: the diapers in the waste form were perceived as compact in all the size groups included in the series, but the diapers in the waste form were not perceived as different in compactibility from one size group included in the series to another.
C: there are size groups in the array that do not feel the compact feel of diapers in the waste form.
In addition, in the evaluation criterion concerning the compactness of the waste form, the difference in the compactibility of the waste form of the diapers of the relatively small size group (first group) and the relatively large size group (second group) is evaluated in addition to the compactibility of the waste form of all the diapers included in the series, reflecting the needs of the general user. In the latter case, the disposable diapers are generally small-sized diapers for use at a low age of months, and the number of times of replacement per 1 day is increased as the frequency of excretion of the diaper wearer increases, so that the number of diapers in the form of disposal tends to increase, and therefore, it is particularly strongly desired for a relatively small-sized diaper for general users that each 1 diaper can be disposed of compactly. In consideration of this, in the above-described evaluation criterion, whether or not diapers in a waste form are compact in a size group having a relatively small size as compared with other size groups is regarded as an evaluation item.
Method for evaluating the sanitation of waste forms
For all the absorbent articles (diapers) included in the absorbent article series to be evaluated, 10 panelists rolled up the diapers saturated with physiological saline in the longitudinal direction to form a group, wound the disposal tape around the rolled up diaper in a state of being elongated to about 50% of the elongation at break to form a disposal diaper, and observed the disposal diapers formed similarly for the diapers having different sizes, and evaluated according to the following evaluation criteria. The results were the average of the evaluation points of 10 members, and are shown in table 1.
A: in all the size groups included in the series, the waste tape was perceived to be firmly wound around the diaper, and excrement was less likely to leak out from the gap of the diaper in the waste form, and excrement was less likely to leak out from the gap in the size group having a relatively small size and a large swelling compact index or a large winding packing index than in the size group having a relatively large size and a small swelling compact index or a small winding packing index.
B: in all the size groups included in the series, the waste tape was perceived to be firmly wound around the diaper, and excrement was not likely to leak out from the gaps of the diapers in the waste form, but there was no perceived difference in the degree to which excrement was not likely to leak out from the gaps between the size groups included in the series.
C: the series includes a size group in which no excrement is perceived to be unlikely to leak out of the gap of the diaper in the waste form.
In addition, the above-described criteria for evaluating the sanitation of the waste form reflect the needs of the general user, and the difference in sanitation between the size group (first group) having a relatively small size and the size group (second group) having a relatively large size is evaluated in addition to the sanitation (difficulty in leakage of excrement) of the waste form of all diapers included in the series. In the latter case, since the lower the viscosity of excrement (particularly feces) of a diaper wearer, the higher the flowability is, the more likely the disposable diaper is to be a small-sized diaper for a low month age, and thus the more likely the excrement tends to leak out of the disposable diaper, it is highly desired that such a problem is not generated particularly for a diaper having a relatively small size by a general user. In consideration of this point, the evaluation criterion is to determine whether or not a size group having a relatively small size is excellent in sanitation in a waste form as compared with other size groups.

As shown in table 1, in each example, the size relationship of "first group < second group" was established with respect to the size of the absorbent article (the total length in the longitudinal direction under no stress, that is, the total length in the longitudinal direction under no stress of the absorbent article in the developed and non-elongated state in which the absorbent article was saturated with the physiological saline, and the relationship of "first group > second group" with respect to the size relationship of the absorbent article opposite to the size of the absorbent article was established with respect to both the swelling compact index and the winding packing index, so that the compactness and the hygienic property of the waste form were superior to those of each comparative example in which both the swelling compact index and the winding packing index were the same size relationship as the absorbent article.
In example 1, the waste tapes were identical in the first and second groups, in example 2, the "lengths" of the waste tapes were different in the first and second groups, and in example 3, the "widths" of the waste tapes were different in the first and second groups.
Industrial applicability
According to the present invention, there is provided an absorbent article series capable of compactly and hygienically disposing of an absorbent article after use, regardless of the use and the change in the behavior of bodily waste that grows.

Claims (20)

1. An absorbent article series for infants and children of different ages in months, comprising a plurality of absorbent articles of different sizes, the plurality of absorbent articles being divided into a plurality of size groups corresponding to the number of kinds of sizes thereof, the absorbent article series characterized in that:
the plurality of absorbent articles each have: an absorber having a longitudinal direction corresponding to the front-back direction of the wearer and a transverse direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction for absorbing and retaining body fluid; and a disposal tape fixed to the outer surface of the absorbent article and having stretchability,
regarding the swelling compactness index of the absorbent article measured by the following method, the following size relationship holds between at least a part of the size groups among the plurality of size groups: size group of relatively small size > size group of relatively large size,
the absorber has a groove portion extending in the longitudinal direction, the groove portion does not disappear even if the absorber is saturated with liquid,
the groove portion is located on an imaginary straight line passing through a fixing portion of the disposal tape and an outer surface of the absorbent article and extending in the longitudinal direction,
the ratio of the length of the waste tape in the direction perpendicular to the elongation direction in a 50% elongation state of the breaking elongation of the portion having stretchability in the longitudinal direction to the length of the groove portion in the absorbent article saturated with physiological saline is 1.5 or less,
Measurement method of swelling compact index
After the absorbent article to be measured is saturated with physiological saline in an atmosphere having an atmospheric temperature of 23.+ -. 2 ℃ and a relative humidity of 50.+ -. 5%, the inner surface of the absorbent article in the developed state is wound up in the longitudinal direction with the inner surface thereof as the inner side, the peripheral length C1 in the winding-up direction is measured, the waste tape fixed to the outer surface of the wound absorbent article is stretched to a state of 50% of the elongation at break, the waste tape is wound around the outer surface of the absorbent article in the winding-up direction of the absorbent article, after being left to stand for 20 minutes in this state, the peripheral length C2 of the portion of the absorbent article around which the waste tape is wound is measured, and the swelling compactness index of the absorbent article to be measured is calculated by the following formula,
swelling compact index=1- (C2/C1).
2. The array of absorbent articles of claim 1, wherein:
the number of size groups constituting 1 of the size relationships is 2, and the swelling compactness index of the absorbent article of the size group of the relatively small size is 0.1 or more and 0.6 or less.
3. The array of absorbent articles according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that:
The number of size groups constituting 1 of the size relationships is 2, and the swelling compactness index of the absorbent article of the size group having the relatively large size is 0.05 or more and 0.5 or less.
4. The array of absorbent articles of claim 1, wherein:
the number of size groups constituting 1 of the size relationships is 3 or more, and the swelling compactness index of the size group having the largest size of the absorbent articles among the plurality of size groups of 3 or more is 0 or more and 0.4 or less.
5. An absorbent article series for infants and children of different ages in months, comprising a plurality of absorbent articles of different sizes, the plurality of absorbent articles being divided into a plurality of size groups corresponding to the number of kinds of sizes thereof, the absorbent article series characterized in that:
the plurality of absorbent articles each have: an absorber having a longitudinal direction corresponding to the front-back direction of the wearer and a transverse direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction for absorbing and retaining body fluid; and a disposal tape fixed to the outer surface of the absorbent article and having stretchability,
regarding the wrapping and packaging index of the absorbent article measured by the following method, the following size relationship holds between at least a part of the size groups among the plurality of size groups: size group of relatively small size > size group of relatively large size,
The absorber has a groove portion extending in the longitudinal direction, the groove portion does not disappear even if the absorber is saturated with liquid,
the groove portion is located on an imaginary straight line passing through a fixing portion of the disposal tape and an outer surface of the absorbent article and extending in the longitudinal direction,

the number of size groups constituting 1 of the size relationships is 3 or more, and the wrapping/packaging index of the size group having the largest size of the absorbent articles among the plurality of size groups of 3 or more is 0.5 or more and 1.0 or less.
10. The array of absorbent articles according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that:
The number of the size groups constituting 1 of the size relationships is smaller than the total number of the plurality of size groups.
11. The array of absorbent articles according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that:
the number of the size groups constituting 1 of the size relationships is the same as the total number of the plurality of size groups.
